Deanie & Co. ~~Crazy Monday~~

I had to check in early today because I won't be at my computer until late tomorrow. I am taking my ds to another baseball tournament today and staying the night. He plays for two teams so I'm sure this all sounds confusing when I talk about it. Deanie, I believe you asked which son it was and if he's on a traveling team. It is my older son (11yr) and yes, he's on two traveling teams. Also, his regular(hometown) team won the championship game yesterday. I have to brag a little here...my ds played awesome all weekend. He went 11 for 12 batting including 3 home runs (one was a grand slam!). He also pitched a no hitter yesterday. Anyway, I'll probably miss tomorrows workout because I'll be out of town but I'll do my best to squeeze it in when I get back.

Today was ME upper body for me. The rotation also called for CK arm drills but I don't have that so I skipped it.

Gin - I got your e-mail and I'll send you a picture when I get back to work on Wednesday.

Cheryl - The bands I bought were the 6ft. green ones. I believe they're the same ones that Cathe uses.

Hope everyone has a great couple of days.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did ME upperbody and abs and then ran 3 miles. That was the first time for that ab routine for me. I just recently got that dvd. I was used to the FitTv version, which did not have the abs section. I liked the upperbody portion. The bicep curls were the toughest for me. I used the same weights as Cathe.

Tracee--Congrats on your son's pitching a no-hitter yesterday. And good luck with the games today and tomorrow!! Let us know!:)

Deanie--Have you recovered from the b-day party? Sounded like a fun one!

Marcy--What is your workout today?

Cheryl--Are you journalling your food today? It does help you to eat less when you have to write it ALL down. Last summer I read the book, Super Foods and Super Foods Rx and would recommend both.

Have a great day all! Off to teach summer fun. It's a Dr Seuss week and today is The Cat in the Hat.:)

Good Morning :)

Today I did ME upper body split and abs also. ME always has a dread factor for me. I think this is such a hard workout! I used the same weights as Cathe and got a great workout! and I love/hate the abs! I do like using the 8lb. med ball for the abs. I think muscle endurance workouts are so much harder than strenth.

Tracee~ You should brag about your son!!! He sounds like an amazing player. I think pitching at this age is tough, the pressure (because its almost all about the pitching) and the physicalness of it. Congrats on the win, and good luck today:)

Gin~ I though biceps were the hardest part also. I was also surprised it was only one excersise for biceps, no hammer curls. I am not a big Dr. Seuss fan, but my favorites are The Lorax, and Cat in the hat (love thing 1 and thing 2)!:) Have fun today.

Marcy~ BM2 upper body? How was it? I thought it was tough last week. I liked the incline biceps on the ball.

Cheryl~ I think keeping a diary of what you eat is key. I used to think I didn't snack, until I started writing down what I ate. Turns out, I did snack! Also, it makes you think about what you're eating!

Have a great day all!

Hello Everyone!

I'm feeling a little better but I'm still tired and breathing's not 100% yet. I did manage to do BM2 Upper Body 2x premix. I think I only did this once before and it's a good one. I'm lucky I got up early because it felt like it took me forever to get through this. Here are the stats:

Dbl Arm Row - 15# both sets
Pullovers - 18# 1st set, 21# 2nd set
Rear Fly - 8# 1st set, 10# 2nd set
Ball Decline Pushups - I know you all think I'm the pushup queen but these were tough for me. Had to stop almost at the end of round 1 but finished. Then stopped halfway through Round 2, but was able to finish. It's been awhile since I did these kind of pushups.
Wide Pushups - Now these were much easier. I was used to doing these in the X. These were one of my faves. Did 16 reps both times, no problem.
Chest Flys on Ball - 15# both sets
Seated Military Press - 15# both sets (couldn't do last rep of 2nd set)
Shoulder Circles/Lateral Raises - 7# both sets
Hammer Curls - 15# both sets
Incline Curls - 13# both sets
Seated Concentration Curls - 15# both sets
Seated Overhead Extensions on Ball - 19#
Kickbacks - 10# 1st set, 8# 2nd set (this was one tough set!, those little pulses really got my tris burning)

Some of the ab exercises were the same as in Ab Ripper X, so it wasn't so bad for me. I liked the side plank series.

Tracee - Sounds like you have a real star in the making. Congrats to your DS and good luck!

Deanie - I also find endurance work much tougher than heavy lifting. PH, MIS and ME are all dreaded workouts for me. I don't mind ME abs though.

Gin - The bicep curls are definitely tough in ME. Glad you liked the workout. Have a great first day at school! Hope the kids enjoy Dr. Seuss.

Cheryl - I'll send you the pictures shortly. I hope you're doing well with your eating today.

Have a great day. BBL.

hi all!

I just wanted to get a quick note in as I have an exam today and feeling stressed!

I did my workout (MM Push/Pull w/ abs) but didn't have time for arm drills. I'm going to try for them later.

Thank you for all the information and support on the food. I’m going to try and get back on later after my exam, but I wanted to get a little in now. Oh, I am journaling…so far so good (only one hersey’s kiss – lol!).

Cheryl

Hi again!

Cheryl - One hershey's kiss is okay. Good for you for journaling. I know I never like to write anything bad in the journal so it keeps me from eating too much bad stuff. I'll send the pictures over now.
