Good Morning Ladies!

Today was KPC and burned 407 calories. Then on to Clean Max and Color Hair Max!:p
Did I tell you all about those pancakes? I will make a double recipe and freeze them and then just pop in microwave for 40 sec. Yum with PB!

Deanie--Are your boys ready for school and are you? I have my room just about completely ready and I just need to work on the curriculum next week with the other teachers.

Marcy--How is the realtor working out?

Tracee--Are your kids ready to go back to school? The public schools here start on next Monday.

Hi Cheryl!

Gin:)

Hi Gin!

I guess you didn't see my earlier post:

Hi Girls!

This always feels strange, me posting first. I did KPC today. It felt good and I was definitely feeling it in the abs since I haven't done these in awhile. I'm hoping the new kickbox workout ups the intensity a little bit. I didn't use my 2# weights today but maybe I should have. I still got a good workout though.

Hope all of you have a great workout today.

Gin - Did you order Step Sweatfest yet?

Tracee - Did you try the mix-n-match yet?

Deanie/Gin: How are your classrooms coming along?

Cheryl: Hope you're doing well.

BBL.

Marcy

Gin: I burned 433 calories during KPC today. The realtor is working out well so far. He's advertising where we asked him to and we're having another open house this Sunday. Don't you just hate the Clean Max workout}( .

Marcy

Marcy--Can't believe I missed your first post. I think you will like the new kickbox workout. They showed us clips of it on the RT and it looked good. Lots of fast punches is what I saw. I remember asking Lorraine if the kickbox w/o was the most intense of the new ones and she said that, and Boot Camp was pretty tough too.
Yes, I ordered Step Sweatfest on Sunday.
I missed out on the PS vhs tapes. They were already sold.
I am nearly finished with my classroom. Maybe one more day this week. Next week we have a lot of meetings, so not much time to work on the room.
Glad the realtor is working out so far. Best of luck with your open house.
I will really like Clean Max when it is over. But this week it's just me and the dog, so lots of dog hair to vacuum up.

Gin

Hi girls. It was another missed workout day for me. It's frustrating but I'm not letting it bring me down! I woke up at 3am and it took a while to get back to sleep so when my alarm went off at 5am, I changed it to 6am and almost didn't even get up at 6.

Sounds like you girls are all getting great workouts done. I'm still sore from Saturday's workout and I must have really pushed myself. I hate getting this sore. It hurts to even touch my chest, ouch!

Gin - I think my kids are ready to get back to school. I haven't taken them shopping for supplies yet because we don't get a list until the very last minute. Arghh! I usually wait for a while to buy them clothes because they can still use their summer clothes for a few weeks.

Marcy - Do you like the warmup in KPC? I hate it. I feel like it lasts forever and like there is almost two warmups.

Okay, i don't know how I missed the thread....
Here is my post under Marcys

Hey Marcy~ Exciting to start the thread!!

I also did KPC today. And I agree I felt it in the abs today also. I like the intensity of KPC, I think CK is a little more intense. But I am also looking forward to the new kickbox!! I wish there were a new "blurb" on the blog.
I was thinking this morning (uh oh!) that next month, before the new dvds, i would like to do KPC and DM once a week and I don't know what else, but I think doing these 2 workouts once a week would really whip you into shape. just a wild thought......

Marcy~ I go in next week to start decorating my room. Very excited to start school Also, in response to your last thread yesterday....LOL :7 :7 :7

Gin~ Glad to hear the new kickbox looked good. Not surprised though.:) Happy to hear your class is coming along. Can't wait to start on mine!

Tracee~ Don't worry about missing a workout. Just keep on posting with us. I may be right with you next week when school starts for the kids. Don't know how I'm going to wake up at 5a.m.!

Have a good one~
BBL,
Deanie

Hi again!

Gin - Really glad to hear about the new kickbox workout. Sounds really good. Sorry you missed out on the PS tapes. What kind of dog do you have? I have a pomeranian who just loves to sit next to me during the floor portion of my workouts. Let me know how you like Step Sweatfest. I don't know if you preview or not, but you might like to preview at least the second portion.

Tracee - Sorry you missed your workout today. My hips are actually hurting today and I feel stiff in my back right now. I wish I could do Stretch Max right now. The warmup in KPC is a little long and I agree it's like two warmups. My heartrate doesn't get into the zone until after the warmup. I liked Cardio Camp with Kimberly Spreen because it was up there for almost the entire workout and it goes at a very brisk pace.

Deanie - I haven't decided what I'm going to do next month but someone on the video rotations forum reminded me of the first rotation I did with Cathe - Strong Like Bull (Mar'06). This one really whipped me into shape. I lost 7 lbs. and people really noticed the change in me. Although that was at the beginning of my weight loss. Each week was a different split (GS, S&H, Pyramids, PS). Maybe you could stick in KPC and DM with that. I'm sure after the next rotation, the new series will have arrived.

Marcy

Marcy~ Okay, its a definate possibility. I could do KPC once a week but not DM. I don't like to do a circuit with GS,PS or S&H. I do like week 4. Not sure what I want to do yet. Do I want to do 8 weeks heavy lifting and then the new series? more heavy lifting? maybe do 2 weeks heavy, 2 muscle endurance (alternating?) then the new series?????x( :p x( Not sure. Are the pyramids considered muscle endurance? Also, we haven't done a one body part a day rotation.

Gin~ meant to tell you, I like the Deanie and Friends title!:)

Deanie

Deanie - I was worried about that too - all the heavy lifting and then the new series but I would consider the Pyramids endurance. I'll have to check out the one body part a day rotation (even though I've checked them out numerous times already).

Gin - Deanie & Friends sounds good to me too.

Marcy

Marcy~ Here is a one body part a day that I did based on Fitness Freaks: maybe we can do m.e. every other week?
week 1
day 1: S&H chest, coremax2
day 2: S&H back, CTX step and intervals
day 3: S&H shhoulders, Hiit on TM
day 4: S&H legs, coremax 2
day 5: S&H biceps, MIC step only (or DM cardio only)
day 6: S&H triceps, CTX kickbox and abs
day 7: off

week 3
day 1: GS chest, cormax1
day 2: GS back, imax 3 #1-5
day 3: GS shoulders, KPC cardio onlyand abs
day 4: GS biceps, MIC hi/lo
day 5: GS triceps, HIIT on TM and coremax 1
day 6: GS legs
day 7: off

then weeks 2&4 do muscle endurance? do we do PH and ME and circuit with cardio? or Pyramids with cardio and a circuit? Again, not sure what I want to do and am open to ideas, but I do want to throw muscle endurance in there somewhere before the heavy lifting; just not for 4 weeks:) If we knew when the dvds were coming, I would even try to take a "recovery week" or at least 3 days off before the new series.

Deanie

Hi Again!

Tracee--Don't worry about missing your workout. You needed the sleep. What did you do on Sat. that you are still sore from? GS C&T?? All of those 72 pushups??

Deanie--Glad you like the Deanie and Friends title.:) Are there some workouts that you feel as if you never or rarely do? I have not done BC in ages!

Marcy--I have a very hairy Welsh Corgi. She gets sooooo excited when she sees me heading to the room where I workout. She runs in there with me and licks all of my weights. Is that weird or what???

I know you girls are much more knowledgable about which rotation we should all do next, so I should just leave it up to you! I have been curious about 1 part a day, though. I just feel like we will have those new workouts by the middle of Sept. Just wishful thinking!

Gin

Hi Again!

I will have to work on the one body part a day a little more. If we get the new series by mid-September though, I might consider just doing a couple of weeks of recovery and starting with the new series. I will try and make up a one body part a day rotation. I think there was one FitnessFreak made up of body parts from different routines and I kind of liked that but thought each day was a little too long so I'll have to work on it a bit.

Gin - I haven't done Boot Camp in a while either (I did it right before we started the X rotation). I like splits and don't seem to do circuits that much anymore. I would like to do HSTA again though. It's definitely been a long time since I did that one.

Tracee - Hope you get rested enough to get a workout in tomorrow. At least you're not letting it get you down.

Marcy

Okay, I agree with you. I redid the fitness freaks one body part a day because it was to long. what I posted above works for me, but I'd like to see what you come up with. I actually was looking thru old Cathe rotations just now. (Rainy day~ Bored!!!!) Anyway, now I'm thinking the July 07 rotation may be just what we (I) need. I wouldn't care if we didn't finish because we got the new rotations. And its a break from the heavy lifting we've been doing. If we are lucky, we may only have one week between the end of this rotation, and getting the new dvds, then we could do a "recovery week" I love them!:)

Gin~ I haven't done BC either in a while, but will be doing the cardio next week. I also haven't done RS in a really long time, Oh, and circuit max. which is a great circuit workout and fun!

You know I'm up for whatever you guys come up with for the next rotation. I like what you're thinking so far so I'll just adjust what I need to after you guys figure out the basics.

Gin - Yes, I did GS C&T on Saturday with all the pushups. I probably wouldn't have been too sore if that's all the chest work I did but then to go into all the weight work on top of it was a bit too much for me I guess.

I love BC too so if that can be included somewhere that would be great!!

I think I'm going to check out the rotation page for a few minutes before I leave for the day.

Tracee

Tracee - I would really try to give mix-n-match a try - especially with Chest & Triceps. That seems to be the most grueling workout of the Gym Styles for me. Or you might try only doing some of the pushups, switching off and then finishing the pushups later on in the workout.

Everyone - I've printed off a bunch of rotations so I'll try and see what I can come up with. Any more suggestions of what workouts you would like to do? Instead of doing one body part a day, anyone want to do circuits for a few weeks, then a recovery week and then hopefully, new workouts will be here. I haven't done circuits in a while but it was just a thought. I'll do whatever you guys would like better.

Marcy

Hey There!

Deanie--Are you concerned about being able to get up at 5am and get your workout in before school? That is what I was sensing when I took a look at the July 07 rotation.;-)
Seriously I don't care which rotation we do. It is just fun to mix it up and do different things and to be doing the same thing as you guys.

Thanks,
Gin:)

YES!!!:7 :7 :D

But also, I want to give my body a small break before the new dvds. They are heavy lifting and intense cardio, so I want to be ready for it.

And yes!!! I really am worried. Last year I woke up at 5:45, got down to workout about 6ish and liked to be done by 7, but even if I ran to 7:30(gasp!):) I was still okay with getting the kids to school and me to sub. Now, if I'm not done my workout at 6:30, I'm in trouble! DS has to take his med. at 6:30, to be organized and get ready for school! And he leaves at 7:20am. So if I'm late, I'm scr&*%!@d!;-) :) I think after the first week I'll be okay, but that first week(cringe!)

How about you? Worried? You get up sometimes at 5am to run; don't you?

Could I use any more happy faces?????!!:)

Deanie

PS I tried yesterday and today to wake up at 6 and both days, reset the alarm!! Didn't get out of bed till 7!LOL

PPS Thursday is a half day for 6th graders. they go to school at the regular start time, have an abreviated class time so they learn where their classes are, and then are home at 11:45. So we'll see how that goes. (Tracee~ your son is going into middle school.? Do they do that also?)

Okay, I'm really done now:)
Have a great evening!
Deanie
