Deadlifts

Hi Cathe,

Here's a question that I have been pondering for a while.
If the major function of the hamstring is knee flexion, then how do Deadlifts work to strengthen the hamstring?
Am I wrong about the function of the hamstring?
Please guide me down the path to clarity! :)
Thanks!!

Cari,
The hamstrings flex the knee and extend the hip--that's why they function in deadlifts along with the glutes.
