Hi Anna, I read in your other thread about your hamstrings being sore. Your hamstrings are really getting worked while doing deadlifts along with the lower back and glutes. You want to be sure to keep your back straight while lowering, like hinging forward from the hip joint. Keep the bar close to your legs and when you lift, think about pushing your heels through the floor. Really squeeze your hams and glutes as you lift. Keep your knees soft, not locked out. I love doing deadlifts. It's probably my favorite way to work my hams.
