DDR X Box or "Yourself Fitness"

X Box puts out these games.

DDR stands for "Dance Dance Revolution" and is an interactive game that uses a dance pad that lights up to teach you dances. A kids thing I think. Anyone know anything about it? I want to get it for my 8 year old niece.

Also.....anyone have the X-Box game "Yourself Fitness". It is a game that has your own personal trainer teaching you workouts..cardio and strength. Looks kinda intriguing.

Anyone?

RE: DDR X Box or

I saw something like the Dance Dance Revolution at our movie cinema. It looked really cool but it will take up a lot of space. It looked really fun. Two guys were doing it at the same time. It looked like a lot of fun and drew quite a crowd. I'm sure your neice would love it. You will be her favorite aunt...tee hee.

Yes, I got this for christmas. I used it once and even though I liked it, it got pushed aside to leave room for my other workouts. It is a lot of repetitive movements and perfect for a beginner/intermediate excerciser. If you search the board for it, you will find some past threads on it too.

RE: DDR X Box or

I bought DDR for my cousin's daughters a little over a year ago and they loved it. Girls ages 8-12, really love this. Its a lot of fun and they get some exercise at that same time. I heard about it on this forum over a year ago and that's what prompted me to buy it. You might want to do a search of this forum to get more details.

I did search Cathy and found your past post, but it did not have any real helpful information.

Thanks everyone. Guess I am out to Best Buy today! :) I hope they love it, maybe my sister even too, cuz it has a workout planner, calorie counter thingie. I don't know, I just thought it would give my sis and her girls a chance to be active together. I just don't know if you need more than one game pad for more than one player. I don't know the "techie" side of it. Plus, I couldn't find anything on the net indicating the age range for this toy. Thanks for clearing that up for me. It is nice to know she will stay interested in it (maybe) for years to come!!

The "yourself fitness" I was thinking of getting for my sister. :)
