DD finally agreed to try Cathe. I started her with IMAX2 as she didn't want to do any of the older ones. She made it through five combos. She did okay. I told her it took practice. She was really sweating!!!

She is now in there doing KickMax... she is loving it. I am so excited.

She has been neglecting her workouts lately so I was thrilled when she agreed to try Cathe tonight. I felt so good today after IMAX3, flying high on endorphins, maybe it peaked her interest.

Whatever the reason, I am so thankful she is showing an interesting in working out again.

I think that is great. My 17 yo son has shown an interest in Cathe's weight work over the last week, but he has not tried one yet. I told him to let me know what he is interested in, and I would set up everything for him. He says maybe tomorrow, but we'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

That's wonderful, Jane! How old is she? Kudos to her for getting through half of IMAX2! That's not an easy one to start with!

Hey there Jane,
Good for your daughter. IMAX is a doozie to start with!
My daughter has been doing Cathe's Pyramid workouts since March and has seen results. She jogs on the treadmill 30mins along with this and that seems to suit her just fine... ahhh, youth.:)

Sandra - she is 22, will be 23 this year. We began our quest for a healthy lifestyle together over two years ago with WW and a fitness program. Everyone has their own style and she prefers running on a treadmill (she had one available to her at college) and I prefer running outside. She loves The Firm as do I since that is where I started. She told me after she finished some of KickMax last night that she liked it better than step. I don't know if she will continue with Cathe, the step w/o's that is, but she did reaffirm last night that she was going to get back on track with her exercise program. Whatever she chooses to do, that was music to my ears.

That's terrific! My DD who is going to be 17 just did Boot Camp last week. She didn't finish it the first time, but determined she would the second time around and did. She says she wants to get stronger so I am glad she is taking such an interest. DS who will be 15 has been slacking, but I am sure he will get moving again soon. It is good for them to start out now, don't you agree?

I do SO agree! I drag my kids out of bed so that they can ride their bikes with me when I run. They actually like it, too! I alternate who I take with me, so we get a good 40-45 minute one on one time first thing in the morning. We are already setting good exapmles to our kids just bby working out, but when we do it together I think it makes it more fun and help build stronger cocnvictions and makes us more a team!:)

Good for you, Jane, for setting such a good example! And Imax2 is quite the induction to Cathe-hood! I loaned my g/f some dvd's this morning...Kick Max being one of them. She'll try them tonight. We'll see if we have another Cathe fan on our side!

Jane,

Great news! My two daughters love Cathe too and we have to schedule our time on the equipment around each other! My DS and DH keep a very respectful distance at this point, but maybe they'll get on board too. In the meantime, it's fun to be a 2 generation Cathe family. Welcome on board to your DD!

Good for her and you! What a way to dive in! Imax2! My daughter is only 7, but she comes in and out of the work out room if she's up and tries to do whatever I do. Sometimes, if I'm doing a DVD, she'll walk on the treadmill.

Hope she keeps it up.
