My DH said he was so sick of Stacy. She seems fake and robotic. We were both so happy when she was voted off. Drew really deserved to win. I was furious when he received 27 on his last dance and Stacy received 30. Her dance was no better! It wasn't enough to keep Drew out of 1st place, though!
I Loved this series. It was a lot of fun! I'm hooked! Can't wait for the next one!

I was so glad Drew won, but IMO, Stacy really deserved the second place title not Jerry. Jerry barely moves when he dances...I'm really not sure I will watch next season because it more a popularity contest and not really based on skill. I would have loved to have seen some of the other better dancers continue in the running (ie: Lisa Rinna, Giselle Fernandez and Tia Carrere), but they were squeezed out by less competent but more popular dancers. Well, at least I can say the best dancer did win.

I figured out that Jerry again probably got the highest viewer votes (1 pt from the judges ranking + 3 points for most viewer votes), or he would have been in third place.
I'm glad Drew won, but I still think they need to rethink the judging and not weight the viewers votes so heaviliy. It works on a show like American Idol where the contestants don't come iin with a pre-existing fan base, but not when someone has a fan base from outside the show that gets them farther along than they deserve to be.

I agree Kathryn. I'm sure Jerry is a great guy and has a huge fan base, but in my opinion if you look at talent, it should have come down to Drew and Stacey. I'm glad Drew won though. He did a great job! But I did think that Stacey got ripped off. She did an amazing job as well. I thought Lisa was great too and got botted way too soon.

Maybe, but not necessarily. It could've come back with Drew most votes - which I really hope was the case - (3+3), Jerry second most (2+1) and Stacey least (1+2). Which would've gave Stacey and Jerry a time for last place. And they said, in the event of a tie they would go with audience vote, which would put Stacey in third. If this were the case they couldn't "announce" the tie for last because then we would've know that Drew was the winner right away. Yes, I know, I spent TOO much time last night figuring out the odds because I REALLY wanted Drew to win.

I didn't even try that combination. You're right! I guess I was just being a bit pessimistic, seeing the (#$@& fans gave Jerry first place the week after the Superbowl (and who knows about last week, since they started announcing the results in random order).

I think they need to work on the judging somewhat. You could tell that they gave Stacey more points for the final dance to pull her up in the ratings, then they downgraded Drew ( whose dance was much more technical and demanding). I think they were manipulating the scores to keep things close, but that is just not right.

Ha, ha! You ladies trying to figure out why Jerry came in second place. I had no idea how the voting worked, it seemed all too complicated to me. I'm still lost looking at the way you are figuring it out. I'm just glad that Drew won, I was starting to think that Jerry would take the whole thing. I would be upset with that. Especially since I don't think that Lisa should have gotten the boot before him. Don't get me wrong, Jerry was a very nice guy and really improved a lot. But not enough.

I'm glad Drew won, and I'm glad Jerry came in second. Now we'll see who the best celebrity skater is! I'm betting on Jillian.

I agree Conni! They gave Drew all 9s for the Jive dance he did...
and I agree they scored Staci's freestyle way too high...I mean if I can do the dance moves then it cant be hard!!!
She is gorgoues and has a great body but she also has a dance background which I dont think is fair...
I mean put it this way..If Staci and Jerry were on Football with the Stars then it would not be fair that Jerry is there...
I think they need to level the playing field more..similar ages, similar backgrounds...
just my two cents which is worth just that!

Not being a sports fan, I knew squat about Jerry before the show. And his football fan base shouldn't determine where he places in the dance show. I just thought it was SOOO unfair that his football fans got him through to the finals and Lisa Rinna didn't make it. She was a better dancer.
And for an athlete and black man, he's a pretty stiff dancer at times.

I agree that Jerry shouldn't have gotten second place (or even third), but if I recall correctly, the host never (or rarely anyway) told the public to vote for the best dancer. I think he usually said something like, "vote for who you want to see in the competition next week". It seems that the public did just that.
I was very glad to see Drew win. He and his partner made such a great team and were always so fun to watch.
