Good Morning!:)

I was the last one to checkin last night so I won't have much to say today;) Im assuming our new title thread is similar to yesterdays??

I set my alarm to workout but I was to lazy! I couldn't get to sleep last night b/c I had a cup later in the evening then i should have. Thats what I am going to blame it on anyway. I normally go to bed and go right to sleep but at 12'ish I was in stitches laughing with a story DS told me. I then decided to get up at 6:30 to work out but now DS is up...so its all down here from here:rolleyes: So in order to get out of here on time and in a stress free enviroment, I think I will put off my workout until tonight and if it doesn't get done I will take a rest day.

So here we go again...hope Insanity arrives today! LOL How many times have I said that? If it does I will probably try do one of those workouts tonight. I have to work all day and then I have a dental apt at 6! Ick!

Mornin' Peeps!

Well, golly gee I got to sleep until 6 today! LOL No morning work out on tap for me so I enjoyed some extra zzzz's. This afternoon will be Plyometric Cardio Circuit and then tonight (HOPEFULLY) Centergy class. :)

I got on the scale this morning and by all accounts it's down a curiously LARGE amount. Not that I'm complaining mind you but remember the last time this happened? It didn't exactly "stick" so I'm sure it'll creep back up a bit again. For the moment though, the number was nice to see...a new all-time low! :D

Lori:: Jeez, Insanity is sure taking it's sweet time getting to you! I hope you get it today!!!! Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that it's taking so long. This way you won't be distracted from your race training! I was LMAO about your son pooping in the back yard! TOO FUNNY! :D

Guess that's all for now girlies.

Ugh!! I feel like a big 'ole tub of goo:confused: I have the cold...and its coming full force now. Headache is creeping in, feels like I am half a sleep and I feel the need to throw up:rolleyes: I don't get like this very often...thank God! Im hoping this coffee will help with some of my symtoms. I will only be to happy to get outta here this evening.

Wendy** Woo Hoo on the scale!!! Gotta love it. Sometimes my scale will drop lower then normal but like yourself it creeps back up..usually in one day. And then there are the days it goes up for no reason as well so why do we get so ticked off when it goes up fast? LOL We know what goes up must come down;) Hope you have a good workout today. I may be taking it easy...we will see. If I dont eat much I won't feel the need to workout:) The way I feel right now I could go all day without eating!

DS wasn't to difficult to drop off at the sitters. I had to take my shoes off and stay for a minute but then he started playing with the dog and I disappeared. I called when I got to work and she said that he didn't even notice me gone:eek::D Im secretly happy about that.

Morning ladies !

Glad is was "quiet" y'day so I have less to catch up on later ! ;) Had fun with the kids/GS's at the aquarium and just playing. They stayed the night so I am not wanting to drag my behind back to work but have to ! :mad: Oh well, DS has a job offer to move closer - only a half hour away and I sure hope he can get a little more $ for the move so housing will be affordable. He's moving from Asst. Mgr at one store to Mgr. so it should be inevitable. Please keep fingers & toes crossed for me on that one. Can't imagine being able to see them more frequently! :eek:

Am sore from the past two days of Insanity but am not quite sure where yet.:confused: Still getting awake and need to move a bit more before I feel the full effects. My back is tight so there's no way I could work out this AM and with the family here it will have to wait.

Gotta jet - will be back at lunchtime to catch up.

Woo hoo, only 3 days of work this week ! ! ! :D
 
Hello Ladies ..

sorry for the MIA .. had an INSANELY busy weekend .. then to top it off MONDAY I started fighting a kidney stone :mad::( yes my one day off and I am agony!! I made it in yesterday .. but left at lunch . . I should have never come in ..but dont like calling in sick after a holiday :( .. I have retraced my steps to figure out why this kidney stone now (almost made it a full YEAR w/o one) .. and #1 STRESS .. I know I have been stressed out and pulled in a 1000 different directions ... but nothing new??? I did have a migraine last week and overloaded on Advil Migraine and it DOES have caffiene ??? the only other thing I have changed is INSANITY and back to double workouts :(... my specialist says my problem is metabolic .. and my hard workouts could be contributing to my stones :mad: it BETTER NOT BE .. I am gonna continue on and if I have another attack in a month or so I will KNOW it is the extra hard and extra workouts :(

OK .. enough of my whinning!!! sorry :( I feel better today ... have not passed the stupid stone but at least not in agony and nauseous .. (the calm b-4 the storm I call it) .. SIL had banned me from working out today :confused::( .. I dont know ??? she is teaching class for me .. VBF taught last night .. but DANG IT .. I HATE skipping it .. :mad: .. I dont know gonna see how I feel this afternoon I may go home and slip in Pure Cardio (no one is at home) ssshhhhhhhhh dont tell anyone! ;) but gonna let my body tell me what I need to do

Wendy - WOOHOO on the lowest weight ever .. :eek::D:D doing the happy dance for ya .. and hoping your weight loss will spread over my way .. that is why I HAVE to hope the harder/extra w/o's are NOT what caused this stupid stupid stone!!! I really feel like INSANITY is going to melt the pounds away!!

Lori .. girl you still have not gotten INSANITY ... wow .. keeping fingers crossed that today is THE DAY :) .. sorry bout the bug .. hope it is not the flu .. they are treating EVERY flu case as if it was swine flu .. my state is one of the highest rate of swine flu outbreaks .. there was an 18 year old student that went to Troy University that died yesterday ..:( .. our company has taken EXTRA precautions for us . . we have antibacterial EVERYTHING here ... hoping that it stays FAR AWAY from us!!

Jacque .. so I take it you got your INSANITY and loving it like I figuired you would!!:eek:

Di .. did you figure out how to prevent your sore feet yet?? sorry have not read past post .. doing good to get here for this one!! LOL

OH one more thing .. WAAARRRRR EAGLE ... My Auburn Tigers won their first game .. and YES they looked a LOT better than last year ... hoping the trend keep up!!!!:eek::eek::D:D:D:D
 
Hi ladies,

I did not sleep very well at all last night, tossed and turned all night long. Thankfully this morning called for Cardio Recovery. My arms are getting stronger holding in the full arm plank position with the leg lifts and side oblique things. Thats a good thing. I'm also DOMing in the chest, shoulders and biceps today. I'm also down 2.5#'s from Friday...pretty weird but I'm not going to complain. I haven't really changed my diet at all...could it be Insanity??? It is definitely a change from what I normally do.

I have so much to do at home I almost worked from home today and am thinking of heading home and finishing out there. I have one meeting this afternoon that I would have to rearrange. We'll have to see.

Lori-I hope you feel better soon. Jerod and many of his friends have been sidelined with cold like symptoms. Colds are always prevalent once all the kids are back in school.

Jacque-How nice to spend a day with your son and his family. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he is able to move closer and get a big ole raise too! I was pretty sore during the first week of Insanity. Tomorrow is Pure Cardio...a tough one for me.

Wendy-Congrats on your "all time low"!!! I don't get the scale either...I'm not going to complain since it's finally moving in the right direction. Enjoy PCC later today. I tell I sweat buckets during these Insanity w/o's and have been taking a towel down with me...it is very necessary.

Laura-oh no, not another kidney stone. Can't the dr. give you something to prevent these from recurring? You are so prone to them.. Nothing really I can do about my feet. I have good shoes and use the puzzlemats. Congrats on your team winning!!!

Hi Girls!

I thought I'd wait for the boss to leave for court before posting so I could get some time without worrying about anyone looking over my shoulder ;) I did CPR (aptly named) this morning. My legs felt like lead and I wanted to puke. GREAT WORKOUT :D

Wendy: So my DS got off scott free after bailing on his room project the other day! Truth be told, though, it was actually easier not having him around. He's famous for "directing" so to speak ;) and ohhowIhatethat! He's so happy with the renovations though that it makes me happy and all is well. He calls it his man room now. Sounds like your DH did great in the race the other day! Great job on the scale victory!! Sounds like you are Insanely Slim!

Lori: Sorry to hear you're not feeling well :( Take care of yourself now so that you can start Insanity as soon as you get it! Word of advice, though...if you're sick when it arrives don't tempt yourself by opening it. Wait until you're well enough, cuz doing these workouts with a cold is likely to blow your lungs out!! Not really, but maybe ;)

Jacque: I like that protein pancake, too! I think it's a body for life recipe and it's amazing how closely they resemble actual pancakes. Though I wasn't able to sell my kids on them :confused: Glad you had a great time with your GKs yesterday, and I'll second the ICK re: going back/being at work. So glad Friday is coming fast! These workouts are kicking my butt and I want sleeeeeeep!

Diana: I'd really like to get the Fit Test in at some point soon so that I can see any improvment, but with the way my body feels today I'm starting to think it ain't gonna happen. I did take measurement though, so that's something. Hey, if our pants end up fittin' a bit looser that should make us pretty happy, right?

Laura: Oh NO, not a kidney stone!! DSO gets them every once in a while and he's in agony :( (plus he's a man, need I say more? ;):rolleyes:) Hope you pass it quickly and feel better very soon. Maybe Pure Cardio will knock it right out of you? ;):D

Goin' to dinner at my mom's tonight, and it's going to involve cake :eek: So the diet has been good so far today in anticipation of tonight, and I'll only have a sliver so as to not stray from the nutrition plan too much. Just like last night's ice cream was only a small cup for the same reason. Oh hey, gimme a break, I swear I saw ice cream and cake somewhere on Shaun T's nutrition plan... I mean, what INSANE person develops a diet without cake and ice cream :rolleyes: Or maybe I read that wrong...

Back to work. Will bbl before I leave because I can :D

PCC is DONE! Time to change out of these drippy clothes and run out to pick up DS! Hope I don't offend anyone at school! No time for a shower until I get back home! :eek:

Okay I'm back finally. DS is home and settled in. I am showered and dressed and have a cup o' java here with me. I'm ready now! :D

Spoken like a true Catheite! And I totally forgive the fact that it wasn't a Cathe work out that you were speaking about b/c you and I talked about THAT before! ;) LOL Yeah, sometimes it's just easier to get a job done with out the extra "help". Sometimes help can end up making things more difficult. :rolleyes: No worries about the cup of ice cream and the sliver of cake. Insanity will have that taken care of in NO TIME, girlfriend! It's a piece of cake! Pun intended! :p So forgive my crappy memory but what upper body weight additions had you decided on using? I know you said you were going to do Insanity as is with no add ons for the first week or two. After that, what work outs will you add to it? Thanks re the weight loss. Insanity is kickin' (my) azz and takin' names and I LOVE IT! :D

Diana:: So did you decide to head home this afternoon and work from there? Yes, Insanity REQUIRES a towel (and possibly even a mop if you work out on a hard floor!) to wipe up the sweat the pours during the work outs! LOL Thanks re the weight loss....it'll be interesting to see what happens now! I see you are experiencing the same phenomenon! I am definitely losing weight/inches with Insanity even if this current drop is a fluke so I am sure that you will too. :)

Jacque:: Glad you had a good time with the Gkids and your son at the aquarium. That's awesome that he's most likely going to be moving closer to you. I know my mom would love for my sister to move closer. She started out in VT and moved to upstate NY about 10 years ago but she is still a good 2 to 2.5 hour ride from my mom and about 3 hours from me! I doubt it will ever happen though. They don't want to live in the suburbs any longer. They've been living in rural areas since they got married, what, 18 years ago I think! HOLY COW! Has it been that long!?! (sorry, just thinking out loud there! LOL) So anyway, even if they were to move again I'm not sure they would actually get any closer. Ofcourse, if BIL got the right job offer one never knows, right!? So DH is going to be home a couple hours later then usual tonight and he is bringing home dinner for himself and DS. I think this could be the PERFECT time to try out the protein pancakes! I have NO PROBLEMS eating breakfast for dinner. In fact, when I was preggie that was my big craving (aside from PB by the gallon! LOL). I had DH take me out for breakfast to a diner or to IHOP once a week. Not good for the weight gain but boy oh boy was it yummy! :D

Laura:: Sorry about the kidney stone attack. Very nice of SIL and VBF to cover your classes for you. Perhaps you should take the advice and rest. Yeah right, who am I kidding!? :p:D Please be careful though. SERIOUSLY! TY re the weight loss. We'll see what happens but seeing the low number made me smile even if it doesn't stick. ;)

Lori:: (((HUGS))) Sorry you have a cold and feel like crap. I was feeling a wee bit icky last night myself so I took 1000 vitamin C. I feel fine today. *knock on wood* Hopefully I was just very tired.

Lori - another that was giggling at the "backyard story" from y'day. Mine only did the #1 thing in the plants. Think the dog really added to it there ! Hope you get to get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids and don't workout so you can recoup quicker. I say leave DS at the sitters long enought to get a good nap in at least. LOL about DH in the kitchen playing guitar and then saying he was hungry? Did he not know where he was? ? ? :rolleyes:

Wendy - Woo Hoo on the scale this AM ! Crossing my fingers mine will follow suit ! ;) Hope it sticks around and that it is an Insanity "thing" - of course it must be, right? :rolleyes: Can't wait until you try the pancakes - it has been a long time since we've done breakfast for dinner around here but . . . now you remind me and I have my Thurs nites off from cooking (with DH playing hockey) that I'll have to remember that ! I have to say it is such a bummer when family is far away (on my side I only have my brother & his family and they are in Idaho so it's about every other year when we see each other). At least a few hours isn't too bad compared to a few states away. Good that you are close for your Mom ! :)

Laura - Congrats on the WAR EAGLE win ! ! ! Woo Hoo they're off to a great start. How did the newbie quarterback do? (Well obviously well, but do his skills look like they'll stick around?) Good you will follow your body's advice on the workouts - perhaps let the rest of us around here egg you on to taking it easy too? ;) Don't hurry on dropping weight if you are feeling well. So I'm a bit confused on how a kidney stone arises out of metabolism issues? :confused: Hope the stone disappears soon for you !

Diana - sorry about the lack of sleep but I'm right there with you except I just stayed up a bit too long. :rolleyes: Have been drinking coffee nearly all morning and am still yawning. Perhaps it will be Insanity, leftovers and to bed early for me after work today. . . Woo Hoo on your scale too ! I think you and Wendy should pass this along to all of us ! :p LOL at taking a towel down for your workout. Heck - I always drip - have to wear a headband or it gets in my eyes (am a natural sweat factory here), but when I was doing PCC y'day I must say I was a bit yucked out by the warm sweat dripping into my mouth doing the plank work at the end ! :eek: Nice job getting the UB workout in and hope you get some of your "stuff" done at home today.

Jen - well you trying to scare me before I even workout today ? ? ?:eek: Nice to hear DS is happy with his new "man room" LOL ! Sometimes it is the little things I tell you . . . Thank goodness ice cream was on the Insanity menu because I just bought some the other day - at least it is slow churned Dreyers so fewer cals. I may have to wait to see if my scale follows Wendy's & Diana's first though . . . but you will do well with just a little here and there since you are working so hard these days. Enjoy !

OK - better take a few minutes to eat something so I have energy for CPR tonight, followed by a nap or bedtime if I do it correctly ! :p

Wendy: I don't recall ever saying anything about adding on to Insanity. Ok, that's a lie, but I'd like it to be the truth. Ugh....I don't know. Why do I have to add anything *whiiiiiine* Just kidding :p You are correct that I'm going to just do the first week or two as is, and then if I feel like I need it, I'm going to add something like the upper body premix from MM. That's a good little workout that hits all the right spots, not too time consuming, and not necessarily pure endurance. She uses decent poundage in that one. I hear ya on the azz kickin'! I've been exhausted since using Insanity!

Jacque: I think I like CPR better than PCC, so don't worry, it's not that bad! (Insert lying devil smilie here.) I have no doubt you'll have no problem though, honestly...if I can make it through you most certainly can!! I should also be holding off on the ice cream to see if the scale moves in the right direction, but what if it moves in the right direction with the ice cream included? That's like winning the lottery! So consider me an experiment ;)

OK .. so after lunch .. my body started rebelling .. the food didnt sit good .. then my back started killing me .. so I will be taking SIL and VBF as well as my cyberINSANELY DAMAGED pals advice.. and give it ONE more day .. I may take the doggies on a light walk ... if it is not too hot!!! then bust arse tomorrow on the w/o!!!

Jacque - he called it "metabolic" .. he went into depth as to how much I weighed - muscle composition - worked out - sweated - ate - drank - sinus meds i take etc ... was determined the acidity of my urine doesnt break down the proteins and calcium and small stones form (sorry if that was TMI) .. I think it is more DEHYDRATION is what he is worried about .. I drink the crap outta water .. but I sweat a TON .. and I workout hard and more than the norm .. plus my outside activities are all action and sweat packed (scuba diving, running, fishing etc) ??? but I am not quitting on INSANITY .. if the scales are moving in the right direction for you ladies .. I hopefully will follow suit.. not missing out on THAT!!!

Di .. there is a medication I could take .. EVERY DAY .. that may or may NOT help .. I tried it .. but it left a VERY salty taste in my mouth and I was thirsty all the time on it .. ??? .. so Dr Laura ;) said SCREW THAT .. LOL .. his second reccommendation was lemon therapy .. which involves eating and drinking lemons .. which I do well at "sometimes" .. like RIGHT AFTER a stone .. then I get lazy with it .. aahhhhhh

Jacque .. the new QB did AWESOME .. :D .. and the team looked great on the feild .. the offense got their act together .. and we have 2 new starters that were phenomenal!!! WOOHOOO .. and you rememeber we got a new coach ..and I was not happy about it .. but the new coach kinda impressed me pushed this team and for the first game out looked like they were all playing TEAMwork and loving it WOOHOOO :D

Jen .. gonna take it easy today .. may bounce up and down a bit while walking .. LOL .. hoping to feel more like myself tmrw!!!

OK .. ONE HOUR to go .. it is a pretty day today .. hot but pretty ... so now I am getting excited about going on home and actually enjoying some sunshine .. ONE more rest day I am giving the old bod .. then it is back to the INSANE workouts!! :D
 
So I've decided to switch over to Gym Styles for upper body for the coming week of Insanity. Just want to change it up a bit and haven't done GS (or really any heavy lifting) in quite some time. I've been enjoying endurance work and it seems to be workin' for me so I hesitate to change it up but it's only for a week and then I'll see how I feel and what I wanna do. Besides, my bowflex weights are collecting dust over here. :eek: I want to use them so this is an excuse!!!! :D
