Good Morning Girls.

I am extending my Insanity rotation by 1 day every week in order to fit in a run. That being said, y'day was my last w/o of the week so today I will run (only about 30 mins-lord knows I'm gettin' enuff cardio in right now!LOL) and tmrw I will be an active rest day with Centergy Class....this is the plan anyway. We'll see what actually happens. :p

I am sore today! My legs-inner thighs mostly as well as my calves. I tend to get sore calves easily from alot of jumping around so this rotation is killin' them! :eek: I am hoping it will help me build up endurance in them though. That would be good. My upper body seems a little stiff too. Not sure what will come of that but having done upper body y'day PLUS the damn core drills from y'day's Insanity work out that KILL ME normally...I won't be surprised if my shoulders and arms start to hurt at some point today! :D

So y'day I increased the "rests" in Plyometric Cardio Circuit" from 30 secs each to a min. It helped as I don't think my HR was lowering enough w/only the 30 secs to recover. I will keep doing it this way. :)

Jen:: So then what rotation will you do now? Will you do something that we talked about or will pick something totally different? :D I hear ya on the calorie burn of SS but damn girl, they work!!!! You should try to give them another go some day. I may go right back to them after Insanity for a bit! Lord knows I'll need the break from all of the cardio by then! LOL :)

Jacque:: Nice work out y'day! Sounds like you had a fun weekend for sure! So let me get this straight...you walked around an AQUARIUM for SIX HOURS!?!?!? :eek::eek::eek: Congrats on the refi and on the results of the Butts and Guts rotation so far! :)

Diana:: Good job gettin' out there for that run y'day morning. ITA that a nice pleasantly cool, quiet morning is THE ABSOLUTE BEST time to run! Perhaps I will hit the streets on the weekends again once the cooler weather settles in. :) Regarding Insanity, I am just going to continue on instead of re-starting it. I like it so as long as I don't see anything negative happening, I will just keep going with it. Not sure when I'll be brave enough to begin adding in the X and X+ upper body work outs though. I guess I could try it with my next scheduled U/B day and if I feel it may be too much I can always scale it back some how. I know I can always do only half of the original X work outs if I need to tone it down. Can't do that with X+ though so we'll see. I will pop the discs in the mail to you today, btw. :)

Good Morning!!!

How is everyone today? Im not back to work until tomorrow night so I still have two days at home:) Im not sure if thats good or bad! LOL

My bread turned out good yesterday! I was impressed with myself. So impressed that I may have to make more!!! I asked DD to rate my bread from a 1-10 and she said "you can't rate bread":confused: She said that just to tick me off! haha!

All of my purchases I bought last week have been shipped. I hope they are here by Fri, not b/c I am going anywhere, I just love getting parcels in the mail.

I didn't get my workout in until last night. I did a 6 mile TM run. The first mile was a warm up and the other 5 were intervals and hills mixed together. It was a awesome workout and something I have to do more of in the near future.

So I have a feeling that todays workout will be a run outside with my running partner. If not, I will pack DS up and we will go anyway. It is sunny but there seems to be bit of a nip out there. I also need to do chest and back....was suppose to do that yesterday but never did it!!

Wendy** Who produced the Insanity workouts?? You sound like you are having alot of fun with them. I kind of stay away from anything new.I hate learning new stuff. Im weird like that!!!

I am going to try and read yesterdays thread but DS wants to play already!! And I don't even have my coffee gone:confused:

Lori:: Glad the bread came out good. My MIL has a bread maker. She uses it on occasion and the bread IS good. I would NEVER use one. You probably would have to PAY ME to use one! LOL I'm soooo not into baking. I barely like to cook so baking? FORGETABOUTIT! :p Insanity is a Beachbody program and there is nothing to "learn". It's not choreographed like Cathe's stuff. It's all separate athletic drills. Very easy stuff to pick up...has to be b/c when you are doing it there is a lack of oxygen in your brain so it CAN'T be difficult or no one would be able to do it! LOL
 
Morning ladies !

Well yesterday evening I topped off the day with BL Cardio Max since the wind kicked up outside and I dislike running against the wind. :confused: Was a good sweaty time with no breaks so felt good even though I stopped at 30 min.

The nice old hot flashes woke me up at 4:44 and DH's alarm went off at 4:45 so I got up and did my Rythmic Step. Done and the legs were feeling it by the end.

Diana - Great to hear you got a run in before sitting in a training session - the walk to lunch probably made you feel good to move around. Yea Subway instead of a prepped lunch - that's my saviour if I need to stay at work for lunch also. Did you get your L&G in this AM? Sorry to hear about all the traffic - know that one well when I have to go to San Jose in the AMs.

I think we were able to refi without an appraisal since you can look comps up online these days and it was our same lender. They are only checking to make sure we are employed and that's it according to the CSR I spoke with. DH had a good point that they made it easy so we wouldn't go elsewhere - I was going to go with our credit union but they charged so was waiting to check comps out again. Our homes went down over $350K in the past couple of years. Kinda crazy !

Wendy - sounds like your are enjoying your Insanity, LOL about it being easy because of the lack of oxygen. I got a sore UB also along with sore legs. Can't wait to see what it's like going up and down the stairs at work ! :eek: LOL about the bread - but bread makers are so great cuz all you do is put a few ingredients in, turn it on and then dump the bread out. I used to make our bread when I was a SAHM - was fun to play with different flavors - Jalapeno Cheese was my fav. Yep we walked around for 6 hours - my back was killing me. Should have sat down a bit but didn't think about it until we were almost done. Fun though - my favs were the seahorses, jellies and penguins.

Lori - hope you enjoy your days off and the weather is cooperative. I'm sure DS will love it ! :p Good job on the bread. LOL at DD not wanting to rate it - can't they just be fun sometimes when they get older ! Ha ! ;) Hope you get your run in today.

Hi Girls!

Its quiet around here today:eek: I hope everyone is asleep still! Actually, DD got up about an hour ago, ate her breakfast and said " Im going to go lie down again!" Remember those days of doing whatever you wanted. Now, I didn't do that. I would have been off swimming with my friends but if you wanted to nap you could! I remember having low iron when I was in highschool and everyday after school, I would have a snooze!

We went for a 14 kms run today. It was nice b/c my running partner decided to take the stroller for me:p She wasn't impressed with me earlier b/c we are training for the same race and i told her that last night I mixed up my run with hills and intervals. Some of my hills were at a 15% incline...she thought that that was crazy and that there was no need of it. Perhaps there is no need of it b/c her TM only goes to 8% incline!!! LOL
Oh and something my BIL said the other night. I asked him if he had given any more thought to running the same race I am doing in Oct. Now, he hates hills and the most distance he as ever done is 16 kms but his normally daily runs are only 8 kms...what I am trying to say is that he isn't an elite athlet or anything. Anyway...he said the reason he don't want to do this upcoming race is b/c he runs hills with the same pace as he runs a flat. Now can anyone tell me if thats even possible! Maybe for an olymipic runner but TRUST ME...not for him! He may THINK he is doing it the same pace but he isn't. I think I was to moody to argue with him that night so I just nodded my head. Anyone in their right mind knows that your pace slows down when running a steep hill that is quit long. He is a turd...thats all I have to say. So he can't run the 20 kms hilly race b/c he will tire himself by running fast on those hills. What a nut!

Wendy** Perhaps I will have to look into those videos. Althought, I should pay off my most recent transactions on my cc first. Cant wait to get my clothes...hehe!

Jacque** Good job with those workouts! How did you get up that early? I would be soooo tired at ....like 9 a.m! LOL I also find that I am hungrier through out the day when I start my day early, Makes sense really.

Hey girlies ..

Jury duty is over with - and after sitting thru a trial ALL DAY LONG .. I was an ALTERNATE .. didnt even have a say so in it .. and they would not let us go .. ggggrrrrrrrr ... the case should have been a cut and dry one .. me and the other alternate both agreed .. but boy were we shocked when the jury came back and said NEITHER party won :confused: OMG .. just an insane waste of my time!! CRAZY people ... they MUST not have been listening to the case :mad:

anywho .. no w/o for me ysdty ... or the weekend to report .. i am feeling like a big fatty now .. SIL taught for me ystdy .. DH and I went to the next town over and had some shopping to do .. went out to eat .. and then stopped by the casino and gambled a bit .. it was a fun night .. but coming to work today was NOT FUN .. I am draggin' big time!! :(

this weekend was insane fun!!! :eek: we had a blast!!! but I will say this we ALL found out that we are not spring chickens anymore .. we brought the skis and knee board .. and me, SIL and DH are so freaking sore we can barely move . it whooped our arse .. SIL cant straighten her arms out .. DH is limping (LOL hethought he would jump in and slolem like he did 15 years ago :confused: .. errrrrr .. NOT) my right shoulder and forearms is sore .. LOL .. pitiful .. we are soooo old!!!! but we DID have a blast .. GREAT TIME!!!!

I am still playing catch up here at work .. maybe things will get calmer now .. there is a crispness to the air (even though it is hot here though) and summer is closing .. SIL b-day is today .. but the girls are getting together for her trmw .. then SIL and I are getting back on track .. we are needing some MAJOR DAMAGE CONTROL ... LOL!!!

Wendy .. I am gonna have to stop reading your INSANITY talk .. ooohhhh makes me want it sooooo bad .. but I WILL NOT ORDER >> WILLLLLL NOOOOOOTTTTTT (raising fist to sky in defiance) lol ... and INSANITY AND P90X+ .. OK .. INSANITY has infected your brain ..:confused:

Lori .. LOL about the "turd" .. yup something tells me he dont want to run the race b/c of the hills (and/or being showed up by you).. LOL ... and even the most seasoned athlete would slow down on a hill or incline ... your weekend warrior .. HA .. YOU KNOW he has to do the hills slower .. heck I hit a minimal incline and I slow down and really feel it .. YUP .. the "turd" is ALL TALK baby!!!!! :p

Dinner is eat, dishes are done and I am sitting here with DS. He is watching a movie and eating his bedtime snack while I chat to you fine folks!!!

Im debating getting on the TM tonight after DS goes to bed. Maybe 20 mins of hills and maybe not! LOL We will see how much energy I have. Truth be known, I hate sweating for 20 mins.:D

Laura** sounds like you have been having a good time lately! Once you get a couple of workouts in you won't feel like a fatty anymore. Who cares what you feel like...as long as you don't look like a fatty! hehe!

Must go check my other checkins before DS demands my attention for some reason....again!

Hey Girls,

I'm finally here. Another long day in training. I did get up in time to almost all of L&G. I did cut it a few minutes short but I still got in a good w/o. There is a lot of cardio involved in that W/O as she never lets us take a break!

For lunch I walked to the nearby subway and then walked around the business park I'm in. I couldn't see the other side and thought it would've taken much longer. It only took about 10-12 minutes. If I have time I will try to go around 3 times. Thankfully I have bootcamp tonight because my GWF numbers are low.

Wendy-I put the check in the mail today.:D I may just order Insanity tonight after BC, hopefully it will get here by my birthday.

Lori-glad your bread turned out! Did you have to use yeast? Who's your BIL kidding, of course everyone runs at slower pace on hills! I'm sure he knows he can't keep up with you!!!

Jacque-I can't believe the real estate depreciation in CA. I'm sure its all relative though as the cost of living is so much more in CA. Our home value did go down, but it's only 14K down from where it was in 2003, the last time we had it appraised.

Laura-I loved reading your story about the weekend. LOL!!! So you and SIL are joining the Insanity crowd too! The more the merrier.
