Good Morning!

I went to bed at a senisble time again last night so I feel pretty good. I have to work today but Im not rushing in. I am the only person around all weekend that can do my job so I will go in when I feel like it.

Once I have more coffee gone I will hit the basement for a GS workout:) Im not sure about a run b/c my knee is feeling it from yesterday:eek:

Diana** Thanks for sharing your story. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one sometimes....and she isn't even that bad! Ugh! Good job with the workout!

Good Morning. :)

Okay, I flubbed up in a couple of spots when I created my SS/I rotation so I just spent the last 15 minutes re-writing what I will do. Not a big deal...just a tad bit confusing at 5am! :confused: That being said, I got my arse out of bed and have no morning work out to do! :mad: I think I *might* do Cardio Recovery (stretch) though since I'm up and it obviously it never hurts to throw an extra stretch in there! ;) This afternoon's work out is plyometric cardio circuit. If I were SMART I would do THAT right now and stretch later on but I just can't wrap my brain around THAT kind of cardio at THIS hour! :confused::confused::confused: Not yet anyway....maybe next week I will try it??? :eek:

Sorry I never got back here last night. *hangs head in shame* I'm here now though so on to personals! :)

Lori:: I am with you on the muscle heads. In fact, when I was looking for a gym to join I ruled one out b/c it was a small dark gym that appeared to primarily attract those types. ICK! Thanks for posting about your DD. It makes me so happy to know what I have to look forward to when Joey gets older! :p

Diana:: Cardio Recovery IS a bit of a challenging stretch work out but I liked it. What did you think of it? My legs were burnin' like crazy during those squats and lunges! YEOWCH!!! :eek: So it's Pure Cardio for you this morning? GOOD LUCK! :p I have thought about working retail and I would not mind doing it but I don't want to just do it over the holiday season and then get canned. It's not worth it to me. If I could tell a retail establishment that I can only work M-F day shifts and they were willing to accomodate me then I'd go out and get a job some where TODAY but that is highly unlikely. I don't think it's worth even TRYING for. I have considered trying to get a job as a teller at a bank though. They have some later night and/or weekend hours but not like a store. I MIGHT be able to swing that so it's under consideration. I'll just feel really bad when DH gets called to work O/T at the last minute and I have no choice but to fake sick so that I can stay home with Joey. There is only one couple who lives close enough to help us out with watching him if it's last minute but they are a family of four who we don't feel right about saddling with last minute sitter requests. We would be lucky if they could even do it at all anyway as they are busy with their own kids now that school has begun. Ah well, I'll find something...sooner or later I suppose!:confused:

Jacque:: Ofcourse I could have slept until 6 this morning but I get up at 5 to find out I have no work out to do! LOL To answer your questions, nope definitely not the napping that is the issue. I nap all the time. They are short ones so they don't affect my sleep at night. I was up the last few nights (or should I say EARLY mornings!) thinking about stuff that's been bothering me. Yesterday I took care of that "stuff" and BINGO, no trouble this morning! I DID wake up at 4am but fell back to sleep pretty easily until my alarm woke me up at 5. Glad BB finally shipped your work outs. I wonder what the hold up was? I swear mine got shipped and delivered really quickly!!!

Jen:: Loved your reaction to Insanity! You KNEW it was gonna be CRAZY but you ordered it anyway cause you KNEW you'd love it! :p So Joey LOVED his first day of school!!! I knew he'd be happy to be back overall but thought he might carry on initially. Well I was wrong! He saw his "best buddy Jonathan" before we even walked in the classroom so he was off like a shot playing with him. It was great! :D

Laura:: So how'd you do with Pure Cardio y'day? It's a toughie! I had some real trouble with that one the first time out. I learned quickly to pace myself or I wouldn't make it through. Those switch kicks (2nd exercise in after the warm up) KILL ME for some reason! :confused::eek::confused:

Okay, Cardio Recovery isn't happening....I still haven't eaten and I'm STARVING! DS will be up soon and is going to interrupt me...blah blah blah. I know. It's all just excuses, right? :p LOL

I'm heading into meetings in about two minutes, but I just wanted to report that Cardio Power and Resistance is done. OH MY GAWD. But I felt great when it was done!!

Mornin' Ladies,

I slept fine until 4am then tossed and turned until about 6:00...then I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 6:30.

This morning is Pure Cardio..I think. I'm glad these workouts are short...I don't think I could handle them if they were any longer.

I got on the scale and am down 2#'s, how is that even possible??? Not that I care, I'll take that number as its moving in the right direction.

Yesterday I bit the bullet and joined WW again. I've been stuck at a plateau for several weeks. Hopefully between WW and Insanity the #'s will drop off. I need to figure out how to put the weightloss tracker on my sig line. You may see that later today.

Lori-So your switching to GS. Are you bagging the last few w/o's of STS? GS is one of my fav's, enjoy!

Wendy-When my boys were babies and before starting school, my parents next door neighbor watched my kids, as well as all the other neighborhood kids. It was nice because when my parents would get home from work, they would go next door and pick up their grandkids. Then my brother, sister and I would pick up our kids from our parents house. It gave the kids and grandparents about an hour or so together every day.

I'm going to finish up my java and head down.

I am at work now and have nothing else to do but visit Catheland:D Im sure there is something for me to do around this joint but right now I will enjoy sipping my coffee:)

I decided to go ahead with STS , I can't stop with only 2 weeks left...what a loser! So I did chest and back, making the rest in between smaller b/c I had to get to work. Im thinking about running (small one) on the TM tonight or it will be a complete rest day, as far as cardio goes. Scale was back down to normal today (it went up a tad with all the family gatherings) I think yesterdays run took the 2 lbs off of me that I had seems to magically gain:cool:

Wendy** Sorry abour wrecking your post! I thought you were gonna zoom in with a "just getting us started" post...but today was the day you decided to write a big 'ole long book and I ruined it for ya! My bad!:rolleyes: In my defense, I did say what I needed to say....hehe!
So DS is enjoying school!? Well, thats awesome. When I was babysitting my neices the other day I was thinking that it will only be a short time before DS goes off and plays with his friends or by himself. Then I will have more me time. A couple of monthes can make such a big difference in a childs development. Im sure there will still be days that I will want to run away...but prehaps there will be LESS of those days! hehe!

Diana** Woo Hoo on the weightloss!!! My, my...Insanity must really work! Im hoping to get mine today. One of the big reasons is so I can read the stuff that comes with it while I am at work. I don't have time to read anymore when I am home. If I start reading in bed, I am fast asleep!
So yeah, when I got in the basement I decided to stick to my rotation. Just a few more workouts and I will be all done!

So Insanity didn't come with my normal mail...but it may come later in a delivery truck. If not then there is really nothing I can do about it. Its been over a week since I ordered it and it was 3 days ago that it wasn't to far away. I would imagine that it was airmail! It would only take 3 days to drive it here from TO! And Canada Post hasn't updated my tracking # so who knows WTH it is!:mad:

Woo Hoo it is Friday and a long 4 day weekend for me ! ! !

And so you are thinking I am excited that I have 4 days off from work ? Well let me tell you that I am looking forward to some fun fun fun in the next 4 days ! What you are wondering ? Well my INSANITY should hit my front porch sometime today and now I have 4 days to play with it ! So if anyone wants to start over again . . . How about Monday? :rolleyes:

Hopefully Lori will get hers too but then I don't think she'll be doing it daily????? will ya Lori??????

Lori - good to hear you are finishing up STS. Like Diana I made some good gains at the end even though they were short sets. I know I have lost some of that strength cuz I haven't been lifting heavy, just following Cathe on most of the workouts. Nice to know I can add that quickly though. Sure hope you get your workouts today ! Enjoy your work time - seems like you are the only one lately who gets much time to play while at work ! :p Yippee for dropping the temp wt gain there ! My scale went down the 2 lbs it jumped the other day too and I went out to eat last night ! Yee Haw ! I'll be starting Insanity at a lower wt than the past 1 1/2 yrs so hoping I can dump the fluff this two months. I don't care about the #, just the fluff.

Wendy - good to hear you have cleared your mind and are moving into better sleep patterns. Apparently you did sleep well if you were working on rotations at 5 IN THE AM ! :eek: OK girl, did you feed yourself and get to your workout yet? ;)

Jen - loving the reviews here and great job getting it done this AM. Hope the meetings aren't too boring today.

Diana - Woot Woot on your #'s lost ! ! ! You have been getting lots of cardio in there lately. That is super and with your WW you should be totally trimmed up by the end of Insanity ! Hoping we all have great results to report. Hope Pure Cardio was a good start to your day. Have to tack on to y'days post that my DD actually was hanging with the wrong person for a while and they got picked up for shop lifting at the local mall. Mind you I have family in town and DH knows lots of officers because of it. Yep a little embarssing but it was the last time she caused that kind of trouble. Took time away from me to as we had meetings to attend and she had community service time to serve which I was the one who had to take her. I just thank goodness it wasn't something worse.

Laura - you still alive after another Insanity workout y'day? Yep we have been warm here lately - 100's earlier this week and mid to high 90's for a few more days. No A/C at home but do have it at work at least. Think my wt loss may be maintaining because of all the sweating I do when I'm not working out - including my night sweats from the hormone changes ! :eek: Whatever works is my motto though ! Hope your big boy can leave his face alone - are you putting any kind of ointment on it like neosporin ? I wonder if that would help it heal better without itching? I know it works wonders on my cuts - they heal in a couple of days vs a week when I don't use it. Hope that now we are passing the first of the month and paydays that you get to slow down at work a bit?

OK - guess I need to get outta here and go to work. Should be a shorter day though as we usually get off a couple hours early. We are having a potluck so I will post how I did later just to keep me accountable ! :rolleyes: ;)

:eek::eek::eek: It is totally INSANE OFF THE WALL BUSY in here .. I have just a moment to pop in here .. so taking advantage of it ..

Pure Cardio was good .. wasnt as hard as I was fearing ... I did have to take a few 10 -15 second breathers though .. but all in all NOT nearly as hard as the others!!! :)

Wendy .. those switch kicks in the beginning .. OH MY .. they KILLED ME .. those and the minute and 1/2 BURPEES were THE HARDEST .. hoping by the end my reps will improve on those .. the switch kicks (plyo front kicks) set my quads ON FIRE :eek: when he did those I was thinking OMG .. I am not gonna make it thru the warm up :confused: he scared me when he said how NERVOUS HE was about doing the workout :confused::eek: I thought .. OH GREAT .. I AM gonna pass out :confused:

Jen .. I knew you would love INSANITY ...

Lori ... glad you workday is a calm one .. mine is the OPPOSITE .. yikes .. hope you get your Insanity today ...

Di .. congrats on the 2# loss .. I AM HOPING this does my extra #'s and FLUFF in .. I kinda worry though b/c my body usually repsponds better to weights than cardio .. we will see ... maybe the change and being this is more PLYO than "cardio" it will push me over in the calorie burn area

Jacque . . I am with you .. WOOOHOOO .. long weekend come on!!! YAYAYAYAYAYA on the arrival on INSANITY .. and you got a LOOOONG weekend to play with it .. although it is gonna play you ...;) ... LOL .. you are gonna love it though .. definately is helping my exercise ADD ..:eek: :p.. not putting ointmnet on my babydog .. he is ok so far .. not messing w/it .. but I may put some on it when it heals a bit more to deaden it .. good idea!!!

My head started hurting again .. think b/c I have been so busy .. so I popped some advil migraine and it has eased off again .. as long as it stays away .. SIL and I are meeting and gonna tackle PLYO INSANITY .. the one the WHOOPED MY ARSE :confused: ..but hey .. i should be able to have some CABS tonight guilt free right ??? ;)

OH .. and a big WAAAAAAARRRRR EAGLE BABY!!!! Tomorrow is our first football game Auburn v/s La Tech .. I do hope we look better than last year .. we got a LOT of new players .. and a new quarter back (which could be a good thing .. lol) .. Football season starts tomorrow .. let the rivalry begin!! :eek::D have a great one .... will try to peak in after my workout to see what everyone is up to .. :D
 
UGH what a day. :( (Sorry in advance for the following explanation being so long-winded!:eek:)

It started out fine but then all hell broke loose! I called DS downstairs to put on his shoes as it was time for us to leave for school/work. I am working a new shift this school year (well I'm giving it a shot anyway). It's the earlier one that starts at 8:30 instead of 9:00. The later shift left me with lag time that was enough to make me batty but not enough to really make going back home after dropping DS off at school worth it. The 8:30 shift is a close call as far as my getting to work on time but it's doable minus any unforseen hold ups.

Soooo, first day on the new shift (which I will have to give up if I am late too much) and when I call DS down from his room to leave for school I discover that he has gum stuck all around his neck some even in his hair at the bottom in the back! I tried quickly to get it off but couldn't so we had to go to school this way b/c I did not want to be late for work. Well he didn't want to go to school like that and to make matters worse I told him that either the teacher or the nurse would help him get the gum off of him and he freaked about seeing the nurse cause he though she might hurt him. :eek: I FINALLY got him out the door and calmed out (after, quite frankly, losing it a little bit myself :eek:) and made it in to work with a minute to spare! PHEW!

Fun doesn't end there though...TTOM was late. I'd been walking around "prepared" for a week and nothing was happening. I get to work and within 30 mins BAM there it is and guess what!? It's one of the first days that I am NOT prepared for it! UGH! :confused::eek: Then to make matters worse I ended up with the cramps from HELL! I was miserable all morning. When I finally got out of there I came home, ate lunch, took some ibuprofen and laid down. About an hour and a short nap later I felt better but....IT WAS TOO LATE TO WORK OUT! :mad:

So here I sit, I feel fine now and really want to get my work out in but man oh man is it gonna be TOUGH to get motivated now. If it were something less intense I could muster it up easier but INSANITY!? OY! :rolleyes:

Okay...I've complained enough....on to personals and then I'll be back later to let you know if the work out gone done or not. Oh and no taking bets on it while I'm gone either! :p

Diana:: Good for you joining WW again. Seems to be a very successful way to lose weight for most. Weren't you following the eating plan that the NC at the rec ctr gave you? What happened there? I thought it was working for you? You had a nice little arrangement for your boys when they were little. Unfortunately we don't have that. We are spoiled rotten when it comes to being able to go out on weekends but for day to day short term sitting we have very few resources.

Lori:: I'm glad you went back to STS. You needed to just finish it. It killed me when I had to cut CLX 2 weeks short b/c of that darned sinus infection I had but by the time I was well enough to get back to it again it seemed pointless. :confused: I am going to do a full CLX rotation again soon though. I am considering it for after I am done with Insanity.

Jacque:: So do you have Insanity yet? Did you do a work out? I can't wait to hear what you think!!!! Will you be following the eating plan with Jen? Adding on any weight work, etc to it? Tell us. Inquiring minds want to know! I am sure you'll have it all figured out by the end of your long weekend anyway! :D

Laura:: I found Pure Cardio to probably be the hardest of the work outs simply because it just doesn't stop!!!!! :eek: I have to really pace myself and watch how hard I push on that one or I can't make it through. For some reason those switch kicks take my breathe away. Not sure why but I really have to keep them lower intensity or I lose it. :eek: Glad you are enjoying Insanity so far!

Jen:: Let me give you some advice...just keep copying and pasting the same reaction for all of the Insanity Cardios because they are ALL KILLER so the reaction won't change much! LOL :p I was afraid of cardio burn out with this series as you know but it's not happening and I have no idea why!? My runs are suffering but they aren't my main focus right now so I'm not worried about that. What I AM worried about are the month 2 work outs! They are about 60 mins each! EEGADS! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Well that catches me up...better get rollin' on that work out! ;)

This isn't gonna happen. I'm just still too full from dinner. I'll yack or not be able to give it my all. Just not worth it. Today will be a rest day. I've moved Plyo Cardio Circuit to tmrw along with Tone It Up which is being done as scheduled and then on Sunday (which was originally going to be active rest with Cardio Recovery), I will do Pure Cardio/Cardio Abs which was set for tmrw so it's all good.

Laura - LOL at "and you got a LOOOONG weekend to play with it .. although it is gonna play you" :D Goodness you ladies are talking like you can't breath much when doing these workouts ! Do you think an OF (old fart) like me will make it through? :rolleyes: :eek: Hope your headache has gone so you can tackle your Plyo workout. Then and only then will your CABs be guilt free young lady ! :p And lastly

Wendy - sorry to hear that your day did not go quite as planned. Had to LOL at the gum in the hair though. Can just picture it and then the look on Joey's face when 1. you said he had to go to school and 2. that the nurse would help him. Kids, man oh man when I think I'd like to be 10 yrs. younger again I just remember the trials and tribulations and I'll take my wrinkles, sagging skin and grandkids instead. Though I wouldn't trade any of it - they are great memories even though it may not have seemed fun at the time. Sounds like it turned out well except for your visit from Auntie Flo. Hope you had a chance to get your workout in.

So my day at work was OK but alas I ate dessert and it has me totally bogged down in the gut right now. I am reporting that I had a small bowl of chili (ontop of fritos :eek:) with onions and a sprinkle of reduced fat cheese, spinach & strawberry salad, a little antipasto pasta salad (I made with lt balsamic dsg) and 2 jalapeno poppers. That wasn't bad, but then an hour later had a 3 X 3 square of brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. Think that put me over the edge there. Now I must start Insanity tomorrow ! :eek:

Off to read my new "treasure" and bathe the dog. Am taking her in bright & early for her lance and cleaning. DD will be assisting so she'll be just fine. I believe she said they'd only do a local anesthesia so shouldn't be too debilitating for her.

Ahhhh Wendy you popped in on me . . . but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who had a full belly and can't hit the workout tonight. :p Not worth if you don't feel tip top. I could probably blow through a step tape later but thinking it won't happen . . .
 
Soon be time for bed but I thought I would pop in and say "good night". I was thinking about getting a run in but I think i will take today as my cardio rest day. I have the coffee set for 6 a.m and I am hoping to get disc 32 done and a run.

Laura** Sorry to hear you had a crazy day! Enough so that it gave you a headache!!:confused: Hopefully you will enjoy your weekend off. Are you doing a Insanity rotation or just mixing it in wherever?

Wendy** Oh my Gawd!! I was dying laughing when i read your post! I may have to read it again for *hits and giggles...like Austin Powers would say. Sometimes its nice to know that I am not the only one losing my marbels everyday. We went next door tonight and DS was like a little angel! Makes me wonder where he keeps "angel boy" hidden all the time!

Jacque** Dinner sounded good. I had a little bit of salad and a measly piece of fish. The guy I was working with today, nicely offered me some of his lunch today, I almost threw up on it when I looked at. It was some kind of snail from the bottom of the ocean. I told him there was a reason why that was 400 feet in the water...so that no one could eat it! Blah!!!I stuck to my 1/2 bagel and apple!!

So no Insanity today:confused::( Oh well.. I probably wouldn't have done it anyway. I was just looking forward to reading the material over the weekend. And now Monday is a holiday so the earliest i will get it is Tuesday. Oh well...nothing I can do about it.

Lori - Ewwww that co-workers food sounds pretty icky and I like seafood ! :eek: Not much to read as far as Insanity goes - I previewed the fit test and definitely don't want to use my scale wt tomorrow AM as a starting point since I'm sure after the potluck today it will be up ! :p May do the fit test tomorrow and take measurements and wt on Sunday or Monday depending on my eating & workouts tomorrow. :p

Funny how the kids change their tune daily or even throughout the day. You have to wonder, but then again, sometimes I get like that too. Guess they can have bad days, good days and things throughout the day that bother them too. Just because they aren't older doesn't mean they don't get annoyed, frustrated, mad, etc. I guess. Considering how smart they can be I think giving them credit for moodiness is probably a good idea too.

Laura - if you pop back in here - check your PM - I copied the Insanity calendar to pdf if you want it.

So yup, just the fit test looks hard - nice to see the improvements they made since their first test though.
