** Damage Control'in on a Saturday is Insanely hard**

Good Morning

I am up early to get my looong run in before work. I feel fine but truthfully, I don't know how long this run is going to be. I thought it was suppose to be sunny today but the roads are wet out there...looks cold...should get me moving though. I also thought about doing a Insanity workout but I am going to hold off until tomorrow.
I won't get a long run in tomorrow b/c I have a flight at midnight tonight AND another flight at 2:30 a.m on Mon morning. My day off is suppose to be Mon and Tues back Wed night. The girl I work with is gone to Boston to see U2 so I am covering for 5 days straight. The girl that left last month offered to help but seriously I was thinking..."up yours"! She doesn't want to work when its summer and thats when she left us. I think she also thought the place was going to fall apart without her....not the case (of course) Now that she is home and bored, she is offering to work?? and b/c summer is over?? Up yours....twice!

Boy...Im mean first thing in the moring aren't I? So yeah, on that note, I have a flight early in the a.m on Mon, one Mon afternoon and another one of Wed afternoon...so there will be little time off for me until Fri morning rolls around when I have the weekend off. I just keep thinking about the pay check...it all won't seem so bad then.

Wendy** What time did you go to bed last night? DH tried to put DS to bed but he wasn't very successful. I could hear him whining and DH was losing his patience so I lay down with him and cluncko! It was after 10 though. DS had a 2 1/2 hr nap at the sitters yesterday. No doubt he needed it b/c he was up so early but he still stayed up 2 hrs later then normal. Hopefully he will sleep in today. I should be the only one roaming around early enough to wake him up. I just stubbed my toes on a stool in the kitchen!:confused: Thought that was gonna wake him up! It woke me up!!!:(

Diana** Nice gift for DH. Did you get your workout in after? I like getting it out of the way but sometimes it is hard getting out of bed. If I had to work Mon-Fri 9-5 it might be tough trying to figure out what works for me. Back in the day, I use to work out morning AND night:eek: Im not sure what I was thinking then. I think I thought I was gonna get super duper skinny...cause thats all it was about! LOL

Laura** Have a fantastic weekend! Im sure you will. I will try the 1st dvd tomorrow. I was hoping that everyone was going to tell me the 2nd set was harder then the 1st!:D But your telling me that the first workout is the hardest...great...just great:confused: I think I am going to invite one of my girlfriends over to try it but we may get into a frenzie of laughter!

Jen** So you eventually made it home?:p I hate those days that are never ending. I had a lot of them when I first started working where I work now. Its the kind of job where you don't see many people in the run of a day, so I was quit bored. Then I got use to it and got a little anti-social! LOL Seriously, I would come home from work and not want to see anyone. Just be by myself....weird hey?

Jacque** What are your plans for today? You didn't pop back last night:(;)

O.k...I have to get my butt moving. I wanna be outta here in 12 mins!

Damn, Lori! I was up before 6am this morning and still couldn't beat you to the opening post! Crazy part about it is that I don't have to work today and I was STILL up that early! :eek:

Lori:: I think I passed out around 9:30 last night. Good thing I stayed awake as long as I did or I would have been up at 3 this morning! :eek: As it was I got up at 4am to pee and had a hard time falling back to sleep. I thought for sure I'd be out of bed at 5 but was finally able to fall back to sleep for a little while. Phew! Don't blame you for being mean. Your coworker sounds like a real prize! :rolleyes: Hope you enjoyed your run!!!

So today's work out will be either a lower or a full body weight work out and a run. I'm looking forward to the lower body weight work. I've been missing it. The only reason I am doing it is because it's my recovery week. I know Jen thinks I'm nuts (and maybe I am! LOL) but I previewed CC&B and it's much lower key then the other work outs so I should be fine. :)

Well I took my weight/BF/measurements this morning but realized that I hadn't taken anything but my weight when I started Insanity. *shrugs* I did take measurements at the beginning of September though (I was already 12 days into the Insanity rotation at the time) and my weight/BF and waist measurement have all gone down a little bit since then so that makes me happy at least. :) My legs haven't changed much at all. They are stubborn though. It takes A LOT to get them to budge. I really need to do lots of weighted endurance work to see a change there which is why I am anxious to do lower body work outs while I can! SS leaned my legs out! That's for sure!

Speaking of SS...I'm so excited! I will have a chance to do SS again for a couple of weeks before starting the X cause I am going to wait for Diana and Jen to finish Insanity so we can all X it together! I never thought I'd want to do these work outs so much! What is wrong with me!?!? :D Oh yeah that's right...THEY WORK for me!!! ;)

Ok, I've been up long enough and had my coffee...the belly's callin' me to eat now!

Geesh, I thought I'd at least beat Wendy here to today, but you snuck in on me while I was logging in! ;) Lori is an hour ahead of us so that's a bit tougher to beat.

Good Morning! Yes, it's before 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning and I'm up already :mad: This doesn't please me. Not only was the snuggler extra snuggly last night :p, but he had golf plans that got him out of bed at six which meant all the gd pets were sent into a frenzy thinking it was time to eat and go out. There was no sleeping with that going on. Plus, I'm having shoulder and foot pain still, AND I feel the beginnings of a head cold coming on :rolleyes: So I got up and had the breakfast of champions again: coffee and three advil. Just waiting for it to kick in so I can do PC and CA. Plus I need to get bi's and tri's in still.

Lori: I lol'd at your anti-socialness because I'm the same way! I have several co-workers and they're all very nice, but we each have our own office and don't have the need to talk to one another. So it's generally quiet all day long, other than dealing with the attorneys and debtors that call all day. And after dealing with them, I don't want to talk to anyone when I leave work either. Most days I don't even listen to the radio on the way home. I just vege. Did the run work out some of that meanness? ;) I don't think you're mean, btw, I think you're right.

Wendy: I didn't go crazy with the measurements either, but I did take them in the spots where I want to see change, namely hips and thighs. Those are the most stubborn areas for me! I'm going to give it two more weeks before I look again. Strangely, I've seen a small drop in the scale #, but the bf% has gone up (on the scale) :confused: I know it's just not true, but I was hoping that I'd be able to use it as a guage at least. In other words, I don't care what the number is per se, but I wanted to see a trend downward, and yet it's up even though the lb. # is down and the clothes are looser? Ridiculous. I guess I'll have to try not to focus on that stat. Now not only do I think you're crazy for doing lower body work, but also because you love SS so much ;) I hear ya though, if it's working it becomes addictive! Enjoy!

The advil is starting to kick in, I think. I better head out and get that workout in before I get too hungry. I have to do these workouts on an empty stomach or I'm toast. BBL girls~

Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs DONE, plus a short and sweet bi's and tri's workout to complete week two and officially allow me to enjoy my rest day tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Now breakfast...:confused:
 
Hey Girls!

Im at work now..workout done and ready to start my day. Although I have a feeling my stomach is going to be talking to me ALLLL day. Its all bad enough but when my workout is a loooong run, I can't seem to get enough to eat. I was out for 1hr and 40 mins. Im not sure how far I went b.c I took some trails that you can't get to by car anymore, so I cant even clock it off. Im thinking I did between 18-20 kms. It was a beautiful morning, I had to wear capris but I took my coat off about 30 mins in and the temp was perf.

Wendy** Sorry...hehehe!:D I guess I was awake 4:30 your time, I think there is a 90 mins time dif, actually, I know it is. So while you were tossing and turning b/c you just peed..I was posting;) My measurments have stayed the same lately. If my waist goes below 27 and my hips below 36, Ive went down a bit. Often my hips will go to 35 or so. I don't have my mothers hips...thankgoodess!:rolleyes: Im with you in the leg dept though, they don't move. I just like to think that its all muscle:eek:

Jen** You crack me up! Breakfast of champs!! I needed some advil after I hit my toes on the stool! I think one of them were bleeding and my toe was bothering me a little while running. Hope you have a good day.

On that note...I don't know why you guys are up so early on a SAT! You have lost your marbels;) Im going to sleep in a wee bit tomorrow morning.

Alright, I should go and do something I suppose...even if its eat something.

Quickie before we are off to hit Kmart for another of the doggone "KDAY" which is Hot Wheels searching. :rolleyes: Oh well . . .

Life has been quite busy and thrown a couple twists into my Insanity rotation lately so I'll be doing CR today, CPR tomorrow and skip the fit test Mon to do PC. Have had 2 rest days this week already due to hockey. That should catch me up.

No time for personals right now. BB in a few hours hopefully ! :confused:
 
Mornin...

Well I slept in until 8:10 this morning! It is Broomfield Days today, basically a small town fair. The only "rides" are inflatables, but they do have some fun things like a duck race, clown contest, best dressed dog, some carnival games etc. I'll probably take Jerod and go walk through all the booths, it usually pretty fun.

Tonight Jerod's football game is at the high school, 7pm "under the lights". The kids really enjoy these night games and we always make a big deal out of them. Also, I get to take my great nephew Sakeia with us. He just turned 5 and is so much fun!

Workouts, well I'm a little behind on the rotation so I'm thinking I will do CPR and CR this morning, PC and CA tomorrow, and take it from there. I'm not really going to miss my rest day since I took one yesterday. My weigh in days are on Thursdays and I prefer to do cardio on those mornings so I may have to shift the rotation 1 day and do CR on Friday's instead this month. I haven't looked ahead to next month yet.

Who's done the fit test? I haven't even looked at it yet. Do you know how long it is and is it really necessary? Is it long enough to count as a w/o?

Lori-Wow, you were up early and have your w/o outta the way to boot. Good for you. If you can use the extra $$$, "up yours" is right. Your not mean, just honest! I used to w/o morning and lunch, weekends etc. I just don't have the time or energy anymore. I did more so I wasn't sitting at my desk snacking all day long. :D

Wendy-sorry you have trouble going back to sleep. I stumble to the restroom and never turn on light, do my business and am back to bed and asleep in no time. I'm so missing weight work right now but can't seem to find time to add it in.

Jen-I'm getting hungry too...I better get my behind downstairs and do my w/o before the day gets away from me. Am I the only one that struggles with the ab work? I haven't heard anyone else complain.

Jacque-what are you up to today?

Oh Diana, I was just trying to avoid complaining too much, but the short answer is NO, you aren't the only one! I did cardio abs for the first time today, and I hadn't even looked at it prior to this morning. That workout was awful! One exercise I had a hard time with was the one in the c-sit position where you pull your knee into your chest, then put it back out, then lift your leg in the air. But then when he does it with both legs at the same time :eek::eek::eek: I almost died. I'm glad that one is only 15 minutes, because it's going to have a HUGE dread factor for me.

Lori: Sounds like you had a great run! Hope work goes well for you today. Did you find something good to nosh?

Jacque: Don't worry, you'll catch up! Hope you have fun shopping today. I've got a trip to WalMart on tap for sometime today too. Tomorrow is football and I don't want to have any reason to have to go out.
 
Ran for 30 minutes this morning and I'm getting ready to pop NMTZ into the DVD player now!

I'll come back for personals when I'm done if I still have enough energy to type! :eek: :D
 
Just finished some yummy subway for lunch..that should keep me content for alittle while. Now Im trying to decide if I should have a cookie or not:D NOt would be the right answer, but since when have I did the right thing:eek:

My flight @ 12 is now at 2! So I have 2 flights the next 2 nights @ 2! Im gonna be sleeeepy! Dh will just have to let me sleep in or else he will have to deal with my mood:rolleyes:

Diana** I haven't done the fit test, I probably should. I figure I am in shape enough to do it so I just skipped it:eek: I guess the whole point is to see how you have improved so I probably will do it when I start the rotation. Enjoy your day, sounds like it will be devine:p

Jen** My belly is full for a little while. Usually a heavy meal will keep me going for a while. Feeling a little lazy now though. I was going to leave work early b/c I have to come back but I may have to take a cat nap in the chair before I go.

Wendy** Get that workout done...enough talking already!!! You only ran 30 mins? Come off of it!;):D

Back to report that CPR and CR are done!!! I'm starting to think that CPR is my favorite w/o. I can do all the drills in this w/o and it doesn't have the dreaded level 1 drills. I do have to say though that my legs were trembling during the lunge/holds in CR!

Jen-I had to modify some of the ab work so I could do it. Eventually I should be strong enough to the exercises as Shaun does. I did like the cardio portion though!! I *heart* Shaun too!

Jacque-I'm off a little on the rotation, but I'm not worried too much about it. Enjoy your Hot Wheels shopping:p

Lori-I don't know how you even manage to not be walking around like a zombie with your work schedule constantly changing.

Wendy-nice w/o you have goin' today. Sometimes we need an insanity break, literally!

I'm off to get showered and get busy with the rest of my day. Later Girls!
 
I'm back. :)

NMTZ is done and it was awesome. I made myself protein pancakes ala' Jacque and they were awesome. Gotta hit the showers now cause it's gonna feel awesome and then head off to the park w/Joey cause the weather is awesome! :D:D:D:p

Jen:: The numbers can drive ya batty. I know this first hand! LOL Even the tape measure doesn't make any sense to me at times. I guess in the end, if your clothes fit well and you like the changes that you are seeing in the mirror (or in pics) then it's all good, right? :D I'm resting with you tmrw. Let's enjoy it!

Diana:: Have fun at the carnival with Jerod today if you go. I haven't done a fit test at all btw. I'm bad but I just couldn't be bothered. I was too anxious to get moving with the rotation! :D I do the same thing-pee with the lights out-but sometimes I still can't fall back to sleep! :confused: You are not alone in CR. Those squats and lunges burn me up and make she shake and curse like crazy!!!! :eek: In the immortal words of Cathe "Who knew no weights could work this well!?" ;)
