Damage Control...Week of April 25th

Good Morning:)

I was in no hurry to get my arse out of bed but it had to be done. I def should have went to bed earlier....no doubt about that. Hopefully I will be busy at work.

I am thinking of doing abs and GS back before cardio. Of course cardio will be a run with something else. I also think I picked out a marathon for 2011. Not until Oct though.

I even took a pregnancy test yesterday b/c of my laziness and sore boobs! I never get sore boobs. I guess its just one of those things where the symptoms of your period keep getting worse as you get older:mad: Cause I should have saved my $20!

O.k...so I need to get that scale back down this week.That's my goal:) Let's see how fast I can make this happen:)

Hi Girls,

My manager went out for a few mins so I am taking the time to check in. There isn't nearly as much work to be done as I thought there would be but I will find something to do.

My workout was pretty good. I forgot to mention that my lower back was a little weird yesterday (probably b/c of TTOM) so I opted out of the back work today. Instead I did PH abs, GS shoulders, 3.5 miles on the TM and 10 min on the bike.

I will bbl!!

Good Morning Ladies,

We had a great time at MIL's yesterday. SIL wanted to look through some old pictures, it was a lot of fun seeing the kids when they were little!

Last night I ended up doing Jackie Warners Crunchless abs, both standing and lying. While I was doing laundry I previewed Game Day, the next Asylum w/o. That's what I have on tap for this morning. It's going to be tough, and I couldn't even do some of the moves. It has moving pushup/jacks with tricep pushups..oh my.

I have some nice DOMs in the chest/back/shoulders from PUB.

Lori-Where's the marathon your thinking about running? Sorry about your period pain....yes it definitely gets worse as you get older. Nice w/o today. Not sure if you saw Cathe's post, Amanda from the Cathe w/o's won a bodybuilding contest. This should be great motivation to your clients who are afraid they will get bigger by lifting weights.

Good Afternoon.

Today was a rest day for me. Y'day's Kickmax was my 7th work out in a row. I set my alarm for the usual time and made the decision to rest or not to rest when it went off. Perfect day to rest. I was able to sleep extra late-6am-because DS is still at my MIL's house! :D He comes home later today.

So despite my rare sleep in on a work day, I am cranky today. I really don't want to be here. I have been starving all morning. I can't concentrate on what little work I have. I just wanna go home and go back to bed or something. UGH. :(

Lori:: What happened to the Lori who wasn't going to do any more marathons? :p So are you disappointed with the negative result of the pg test??

Diana:: Can't wait to hear how Game Day is for you. DH asked me a question about my kettlebells this morning and now he's got me thinking about wanting to put them in a future rotation....and just when I thought I had it all figured out through March of next year! :rolleyes: Dang it! Leave it to a man to make my life difficult! :eek:

sorry i have been MIA - I was having kidney stone madness - been drugged up for several days - but I started feeling better FRI - then SAT I felt a LOT better!!! a bit beat up but good :eek::D

Welcome back Lori!!! glad you had an awesome trip - sounds heavenly!! what resort did you stay at? and how did hubby like the VS swimsuit??

Wendy - congrats on the weight loss - I am gonna check out the skinnytaste.com site

Di - how was gameday? glad you had a great Easter!

I had a great day ystdy - I was able to lay out and catch some rays :cool: and visit w/my mother, my aunt and my nephew! GREAT day!! OK .. I have been away from my desk for over a week - and my work is PILED UP :mad: gotta get busy! I have class tonight - going to do a mish mosh circuit style workout! have a great one! :D
 
I'm still alive!

I went out of email contact, and then my computer died! But I'm still around. My new computer should arrive this weekend, and then I'll be back in business.

I'm in the Cathe newsletter this week.:D

It's hard, fitting in workouts when I'm not at home, but I'm doing some running and some Ilaria no-equipment workouts.

I'll try to get back in sync with checking in. I miss you gals. :( :D
 
Hi Girls

I am waiting for DH to come home from work. Perfect time to check in b/c then I have less to catch up on in the a.m.

I was FAMISHED all day. I mean EAT THE LEGS OFF OF THE TABLE hungry! Not sure what was up with that. Could be the workout I had today, could be getting use to less food again, could be my period...or it could have just been a off day. Anyway...its hard to get the scale back down when all you wanna do is stuff food in your pie hole!:mad:

Diana** You just reminded me that I have laundry that needs to be folded! I forgot it was in the dryer. I love looking through old pics as well. My mom has tons of them. Its the Niagra Falls marathon. Starts in Canada and ends in the US.

Wendy** Well...we shall see. I think I would like to do this marathon but I don't really see my life getting any easier between now and then. It may be to much. And no...i wasn't disappointed! LOL

Laura** Sorry to hear you had a rough few days but its sounds like you are on the mend. I am guessing you are prone to these kidney stones. One was enough for me in this life time!

LauraR** As long as you keep moving you should be o.k. Its impossible to do our normal routines when we are on vaca.

I will bb in the a.m. DH is home and I think he has new running shoes for me!

Hi Ladies,

I had every intention of doing game day this morning but I just got too late of a start. I ended up doing CCC Cardio premix only and only finished through the 4th set. I went to bed late, got up late, stayed on the computer too long.....

Tomorrow I have to be to work early so I either need to get up earlier or do a shorter w/o. We'll have to see what tomorrow morning brings.

LauraR-welcome back. We thought maybe you got lost on your way to the States!:D Congrats on being in the Newsletter! I hate computer problems, and I work in IT. Glad you are back with us.

Lori-Seriously, didn't your DH just bring you home some new shoes! IMO, you can never have too many shoes. The Niagra falls mary sounds pretty cool. I'm going to check it out....I do not have any intentions of running it though.

LauraT-I hope to have a Game Day report for you sometime this week. It may be Wednesday before I get to it, but the preview looks good. It does have some tough moves that I probably can't do yet...like moving pushup jacks!

Wendy-You should enjoy those peaceful weekday mornings when you can. Not sure how hectic it is with 1 child, but weekday mornings were not good for me with 3 kids to shuttle around and getting to work on time.
 
Hey Girls,

Quick check in for me. I have no idea where my manager is...but I like it:p Its almost like the good 'ole days where there was no one under my feet all day long!!

Today I did GS bics, abs and a 8k run outside. It was nice to get out so early in the morning. There is hardly any snow left and the sun was shining!

Diana** I needed a pair of runners, mine were wore out. I think the last pair I had I wore to the last marathon...so that was back in Oct. I couldn't wait any longer, so that's when he brought home a pair a few weeks ago. The ones he ordered for me finally arrived but they aren't runners anyway...they are cross trainers, something I rarely buy. They are comfy though and I will keep them. They probably have more support for weight baring exercises. I am thinking twice about the marathon b/c I still won't be done my course by the time training starts. I was also thinking about the days I have off with no DS home...but that will soon come to an end when my sitter takes the summers off. I will have to think about it for a while!LOL

Back to STS this week! Disc 19...DONE! :D

And half of my bloaty weight gain from the weekend...GONE!:D:D

Diana:: Good for you doing what you could with the time you had. The old Diana would have blown off the work out completely, wouldn't she have? ;) Not having DS to worry about in the morning allows me extra time for sure. Probably a good 30 minutes leeway there. Not having a work out to do leaves me even MORE time which is part of the reason why I opted for the rest day y'day even though a part of me really wanted to get up and do cardio to burn off some of my Easter treats. :)

Lori:: I was very hungry yesterday myself. Let's hope today is not as bad. :rolleyes: Well if you weren't disappointed in the negative pg result then I am happy your suspicions were wrong! Good luck making the marathon decision. How long do you have before you have to decide?

LauraR:: We miss you too but no worries. Enjoy your travels in the states and pop in when you can! Saw you on the home page here and then in the newsletter too! AWESOME! :)

LauraT:: Skinnytaste is a great site. Cooking light is good too. I will be making both the chicken picatta and the sloppy joe recipes from skinny taste this week hopefully. Thanks re the weight loss. I owe it all to WW and to Jen for introducing me to the program. :)

Morning ladies ..

well i got to class - and the owner had put down PADDED MATTS for flooring - which is not IDEAL - but it sure is better than what we had - has a GOOD cushion and cant wait to do PLYO on it .. it is gonna be AWESOME for my impact classes .. bet the Zuma teacher was NOT happy tho :p b/c of the padding it made stabilzatin a bit tricky - so I wasnt able to do mish mosh I wanted -but did circuit class w/plyo burst on step and triple set UB and LB - :D it was good!

LauraR - SO glad to see you here - hope you are enjoying your visit to the States!! Where are you now?? We have been having terrible storms in the midwest and southeast ... hope you are not in the TORNADO zone!!!!

Lori - I saw your vaca pics on FB .. YOU DO HAVE GUNS :eek: WOW girlie your body is to die for - I would LOVE to have your bis - awesome!!! I do think your arms will put the girl Wendy posted on FB to shame ;) :p - loved the pole dancing pose - brought back memories - remember my pole dancing led to a broken tailbone - blaming it on the tequila tho :eek::p:p

Wendy - i have been slacking on STS - w/the stupid stupid stone and all - I have to pick up my laces and get back on track!!!

Di - let me know about gameday - ya moving pushups via SeanT are HARD and I cant do them correctly - i am just getting my pushup back to on the toe (military)- my shoulder (knock on wood) is cooperating so far!!! :D

OK - so today is gonna be mish mosh class w/weighted plyo - should feel good on the new floor!!! I know there is a story to the new padding .. wondering if he is gonna have tumbling in there now ??? :confused: oh well .. none the less will enjoy while we can! have a great one! :D
 
LauraT:: Get your butt back in the STS game girly! If you need inspiration, pop in my other check in titled "STS NEW YEAR'S CHALLENGE". ;) I am dying to get a bigger house with a bigger room or area that I can dedicate to working out! I want to be able to buy a TM, invest in good flooring, put up mirrors to check form, etc. I could do mirrors in this house with out any big expense but because the room is such a catch all, there is no wall space to put any up! :( DH better watch out! I may just have to make all of these things that I want to do my B'day and Christmas gifts from him for like 10 solid years! :p
 
Just getting ready to go home for the day:D It was a nice surprise to find out that my manager was gone out of town for the day!!! I had the whole office to myself...except for a visit here and there from the morons I work with. They are a good laugh though.

Wendy** Nope...no need to feel bad b/c Im not preggo! LOL Actually while I was thinking I was preggo, I was thinking that if I am not I should probably do something about preventing it! LOL I guess I have so many things in the air right now, I can't imagine throwing a baby in the mix. And call me selfish but then you have the weight loss again, lack of sleep, getting my endurance back up there....not to mention all the added work of DS b/c of his learning issues:confused: Oh dear...its making my head spin! I am actually thinking about doing another STS rotation. I just need to figure out a rotation that allows me to work UB more then once a week. I don't know when I need to decide on the marathon. There is a limit on it but I am thinking I have lots of time.

Laura** Thanks for the compliments:D I enjoyed them!!! I almost died when you said the pole pic brought back memories....I wasn't quit sure if there was something on your resume you weren't telling us!;) Enjoy your class tonight. Did you say that you bought the Y tank? I am thinking about getting that one but was wondering about support...not that I have a lot to support or anything:eek: There is a new tango red color...looks so nice for summer!

Lori:: IMO not wanting a third child does NOT make you selfish. It's makes you SANE!:D No offense to those with lots of kids ofcourse. Heck my own sister has 6 of her own BUT it's not for everyone and DEFINITELY not for me! :eek:
 
Lori - LOL about my "past experience" .. remember my POOL/HURRICANE Hannah party - we got out the tequila and next thing I knew we were trying out the pole outside - in the rain - WITH BATHING SUIT AND COVERUP ON - I did good first time - but then 2 others went - then my drunk arse decided ONE MORE TIME - and the pole was slippery and BOOM I went spiraling down to bottom of pole where DH had a BOLT sticking up that politely rammed what was left of my already broken tailbone - resulting in MY THIRD broken tail bone :confused: but didnt know it was broken till next day thanks to the CABS that were flowing :eek: :confused: :eek: :p - NOPE just an INCIDENT in my past .. not a past PROFESSION :p:p:p:p:p

Wendy - I KNOW .... I am gonna get back on track --- I actually have TWO rooms devoted to exercise - my pool/exercise room - have all my weights and matts and kettle bells and flat screen and step etc - BUT my old exercise room has my treadmill and DVD collection and bike and cable weight station .... I wanted the treadmill in pool room facing the pool .. BUT it sure would take away and be in way .. so decided against moving it .. oh well!!! no room for mirrors in there either .. :(..

OK .. better get back to work .. have a good one

Good Morning:)

I am going to blame the slow moving scale on all the chocolate in the house...what the *ell!? Ugh! Im not use to this. I drop weight just as fast as I gain it:mad: Im trying to figure out how to get the choc out of the house. I could bake cookies...but then I would eat them so that serves no purpose. I don't want to throw it out either. Maybe I should just try a bit of discipline. AND to top it off...it isn't even good choc!:confused:

Anyway...enough of a rant from me. I am liking that everyone is on holidays, my days aren't nearly as jam packed which leaves lots of slow movement:) The girl I was suppose to train today wants to start back tomorrow b/c her DH leaves to go away tomorrow...SERIOUSLY!:confused: This is the same lady that lost her job just a few weeks ago and when I met with her about working out, her plan was to workout 3 times a week for 45 mins $50....not the idea situation but I don't want to give up on her either. And she said she would be paying me $50 regardless. I should ask her if these means regardless already?

I am not sure what workout I will do today. I should check the weather, a run outside may be an option. And I really want to figure out a rotation to start doing, something to get me excited:eek: But yet....not something that is gonna take up my every waking hour....b/c I do have a tendency to maybe workout for to long.

So I am not sure what my plan is for the day. Workout, run to the store, read some.....I may keep DS home with me instead of sending him to school.

Wendy** There is nothing wrong with having lots of kids if that's what you want and if you can afford them. My friend is on her surprise 3rd and it was just that...total shocker. Her DH is a planner and it totally threw them for a loop. They had a rough couple of weeks but they now have their minds wrapped around it...and its another girl! Three girls!!! I think we all need to pray for them;) One is all I can handle. ONE of each is all I can handle:D

Laura** Ok...so you weren't a professional stripper;) You are just as boring as the rest of us then:) That is a pretty funny story. We met a guy in DR that was a Canadian (there were Canadian's everywhere) but he was the kind of guy that everyone knew. Wherever you went, he was there....anyway, he was due to leave the Wed before us but he was on the late flight so he was just hanging out by the pool on Wed and not drinking. When we looked he was limping around. He said that he thought he hurt his hip on the 2nd day but is only just realizing it now...LOL Drink much?

I will def bbl b/c there isn't a whole lot happening in my world today...and I like it!

Morning Ladies.

I'm gonna be tired today. Didn't fall asleep until after 12:30 and was up at 5am. :(

Today's work out was HiiT: 30/30 and abs from Travel Fit. It's all I could squeeze in b/c I slept in a little.

LauraT:: So do you ever get confused and go to the wrong room to work out? :p

Lori:: Enjoy your easy day today! If you are looking for a rotation just jump in and start doing some STS. You'll figure it out along the way! Take M2 and do one body or 2 body parts per day + cardio/abs maybe. I would actually like to do just that w/M2 at some point in the future. I think it would make for a good 1BP a day rotation! :)

Good Morning Ladies,

This cold and bladder infection have me feeling terrible. The OTC stuff I bought for the infection wasn't helping so I finally went to the dr. yesterday and got my meds last night. It's only 6 pills, and you take 1 pill twice a day for days.

I didn't workout yesterday since I was so miserable. I really should be doing cardio, but don't think I have it in me this morning. MM is sounding good but I'll decide when I get downstairs.

Although it's not really a room, more of one end my basement is dedicated to my w/o stuff. I love it. I've also considered getting mirrors for the walls. I'm not sure how DH would feel about that though. He would probably just think I'm crazy!

LauraT-I remember your "pole drancing in the rain"!:p I was hoping for Game Day today, am simply not feeling up to it. I hope to get you some details soon. Those moving pushup jacks and this twisty pushup move has me a little scared!

Lori-yeah, the dreaded chocolate in the house. We always have some form of chocolate, mostly for me. Sad but true. Hope you have a nice w/o. You should check out the link above. Funny story about the guy you met in the DR....it probably happens more often than you think.

Wendy-what are you up to today?

well the mish mosh class was GREAT - and the weighted plyo on the extra cushion was AWESOME - the balance is tricky though :confused: makes lunges and holds a little more difficult!!

Lori - I dont think you have to worry about the extra fluff - you look awesome - prbly just the regular getting back from vacation blues!!!

Wendy - Nope the FUN stuff is in the POOL ROOM .. so I dont get confused! :p

Di - I saw that link on your FB page - checked it out ystdy - oooohhhh it looks AWESOME -thanks!! I WILL be TRYING some of those moves this weekend - man that woman's body is AWESOME .. geesh!!! must be nice - abs to die for!

Quick check in to report my workout, then DS and I are off to the grocery store. I need to get back into the greek yogurt routine!

My workout was good and I am starting to feel better. Not nearly as lazy as I was:eek: I did LBB (did a little floor work,not much) B&G abs, 4 miles on the TM and 11 mins on the bike (making it 45 mins of cardio) I may go outside for another small run tonight.

Wendy** I don't envy you at all today! 4.5 hours of sleep:confused: No doubt I have done it in the past. My early morning exercisers aren't as plentiful now since one girl finished her job. I like it that way

Diana** I think I am going to make some cookies and sent them to work with DH. That would get rid of some of the choc! I hope you start feeling better soon!!

Laura** Sounds like you had a good workout last night!!!!!
