Hi Girls.

Just gettin' us started.

Today's work out will be One on One Training w/Jackie: Upper body only plus a short cardio. I'm thinkin' cardio ala' CLX.

I got on the scale y'day and was .4 pounds up since my last weigh in on thursday prior to the start of my partying. LOL Got on the scale today and I am DOWN below it now by .6! WOOH! :)

Woohoo Wendy!! Congrats on the weight loss!!

I was up two pounds from Friday to yesterday after my weekend of partying :eek: But I'm happy to say I'm back down those two as of this morning and back to Friday's weight. Phew!

This morning I did Supersets and 25 minutes of cardio on the treadmill.

Good morning ladies !

Feeling "full" this AM but am going to eat anyway to try to "rev" up the ol' metabolism. No scale for this girl since I'm feeling this way. (We'll see if I stick to that ! :p).

Plan for today is freestyle legs at lunch and walking lunges and a run after work. Hoping the wind stays away - it didn't yesterday.

Wendy - Congrats on the weight front. Nice when it drops down farther than it was before.

Jen - that was a quick recovery for you on the weight front ! I want to know that secret ! ;)

Well I'm off to get ready for work - wish I was there and the day was already half over, but oh well . . . :confused:
 
Just gotta say I FINALLY broke the 10K on the ped!!! :D:D:D I did not wear it getting ready in the morning ... so I still missed prbly 300 steps or so ... and I logged 10,300 .. so I am happy!! FINALLY!!!!:D I did super cardio step .. that helped .. I was a sweaty mess .. but it was a good workout .. I find the step cardio a lot easier than the weight/cardio combo workouts .. and PLYO being my hardest class~!

Today I plan on a walk or elliptical at lunch .. short not too sweaty workout .. then tonight will be plyo class combined w/4 step class :confused::)

Wendy WTG on the weight loss .. I am not daring to get on the scales .. NO WAY!!!:(

Jen .. WTG on your downing the party pounds .. after this vacation I have GOT to get busy on doing that exact thing .. getting the party pounds off ...

I am wondering about THUR fishing trip .. we have a low that has settled in and NOT moving .. right now the seas are IFFY .. :confused: .. and I DONT LIKE BAD weather while fishing :( ... but I am sure DH is gonna go anyways ..sigh .. (and he is the one that gets sea sick) .. my DB is to go THURS .. OK .. I am begining to think he is bad luck w/the the fishing vibes ..last time he went we didnt hardly catch anything .. LOL .. JK .. at least I HOPE he' NOT bad luck ...

I have got to run .. deadbeats are calling me . . LOL ... have a great one .. I will BBL to see what everyone is up to .. :D
 
Hi girlies!

Back for personals. I'd like to say I've been uber-productive today but that would be a lie :eek: Just not feeling it today!

Jacque: No worries about the half pound, it'll be gone in no time! You have a good plan for the week. I don't think I have the Terminator and you've piqued my curiosity with that C&W/Imax combo, but I just ordered NMTZ, Biggest Loser Power Sculpt and Jari's newest one yesterday, so I better give my wallet a break ;) Not sure how I got rid of the 2 lbs. so fast, but I think it had something to do with the 20k steps yesterday :)eek::D:eek:) and the big caloric deficit. GWF had me at 2575 cals burned yesterday, and I only ate about 1600. That seemed to generate the whoosh that I needed.

Wendy: GWFs falling from the sky? LOL Oh, if only....How 'bout we just win lots of money in CT and get you a GWF before you go home? Yep, that's a plan. BTW, that anniversary party I mentioned isn't until 8/29 so I think just about any weekend other than that one will work for me. Are you still thinking about the second weekend of the month?

Diana: I'll bet if you've done WW before then working with those exchanges would be easy? It's kind of greek to me I'll admit, but I can see how not counting cals would be such a relief! I did try to negotiate a few different scenarios for the run on Sunday with DD, but once things start to "melt down" the way they did it's kind of all over. She's an emotional 11 year old for sure.

Laura: Sounds like you had a very fun, very busy holiday weekend! You probably need a vacation now ;) Great job getting all your steps in yesterday! How long does it take you to get to the ocean for fishing? You did mention you fish in the Gulf, am I right?

Ugh, it's thundering and raining again. Good thing, cuz we need the rain around here. Approaching drought conditions you know...NOT. :rolleyes:

Hey Girls!

Just finished my work out. Did One on One Training w/Jackie Upper Body and 20 minutes of Cardio Party 2 w/weighted gloves on. My shoulders are FRIED! :eek::)

So I've surpassed 10k step the past 2 days. Can I make it 3 days in a row I ask you!?! :D

Jen:: I have something to do on Friday Aug 21st but that's it. I had written our CT weekend down as possibly being the 7/8/9th. Not sure if you wanted to plan for the full weekend or one overnight (preferably sat to sun). Any thoughts?? So anyway, if that weekend is good for you and we can get a room, I say we should just stick with it. :) I like your plan about winning the cash for a GWF while we are there! ;) LMAO at your drought conditions comment. We are supposed to get your usual afternoon/evening t-storm later but otherwise it's been dry and HOT around here. I'll try to send some of it your way! :)

Laura:: Good job gettin' in the 10k plus steps! I'm hoping to make it today as I am supposed to be walking with BF tonight so long as the T-storms don't roll in at the wrong time. :rolleyes:

Jacque:: I won't get on the scale after I know I've been bad either. It's just not worth it. Eat well for a couple of days and then get on. You'll be much happier. ;) Great job tackling all of Push Pull plus over 30 mins of Step Blast yesterday! Nice work out!!! I don't blame you for not wanting to get all sweaty and have to go back to work. I will walk around before work myself since I get there 15 minutes early most days. I am careful not to work up any real sweat though cause I know I won't be happy later on...

Diana:: How are you? Get a chance to play with your new bells yet? I have a full body work out planned for Thursday. I have to choose between k-bells and regular weights. Not sure what I'll do but I'm slowly gettin' back into the bells so maybe I'll unwrap a new one :)...I say MAYBE! :p

Hi ladies,

I got up early today...very unusual for me...and did GS BSB. Since I was up so early and obviously not thinking straight, I forgot to have DS take his baseball attire to camp with him. So now I'm at home gathering up his stuff and will be dropping it off at his camp. They are all on a field trip so I'm crossing my fingers that a staff member is still at the school.

OMG, last nights bootcamp was soooo hard. We did a lot of running, hill running, cross overs and tubing work. I HATE TUBING! For some reason it just never seems to get any easier. We did squat walking w/tube for 50 yards, then upper body work w/tubing then squat walking w/tube back to the 0 yard line (and repeat 3 times), tons of squats and side leg lifts, glute work. I didn't think I'd be able to walk today. Oh yeah, and this was all after heavy leg day in the gym!

As far as heavy leg training I totally changed my workout and it didn't seem as tough. I did leg curls, squats on calf machine (only used 90#), step ups, plie squats and side lunges. The squat rack was being used so I had to change it up anyway.

Now that I'm home I want to get in a short cardio but didn't have any idea what to do. I'm going to take Wendy's lead and do the 20 min CLX w/o.

Wendy-Nice job on the scale! I hope to be moving in that direction too. How are the legs feeling today? Mine aren't as sore as I thought they would be.

Jen-I love the SS lower body blast premix. If you ever want a short but effective leg workout give that premix a try. Well there is actually a calorie guideline but if you follow the program you should hit that target without actually counting calories. I track on fitday so I can still see my calories.

Jacque-She doesn't give me a macro breakdown. Breakfast is supposed to be about 355 cals and consist of 1 dairy, 1 fat, 1 fruit, and 2 starches. AM snack is 1 starch, approx 80 cals, Lunch is 510 cals with 1 dairy, 1 fat, 1 fruit, 1 protein, 2 starches, 4 vegetables. She did give a conversion chart and a 1 day sample diet. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

Laura-It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. So DB doesn't bring the best of luck to your fishing trips!! Have you told him that??? Congrats on getting your 10K steps and then some!

Crazy running Girl AKA Lori-You must be out running....hope you are having a good time with your parents! How is DS liking all the attention?

Afternoon girlies ..

OK .. so I go to the gym at lunch - outside is HOT HUMID and STAGNANT air ... so I was worried about the gym being hot .. I opened the door and it was cool .. so I was so happy I looked into the cardio room .. only ONE person in there ..:D .. so I change quickly .. go to the cardio room .. open the door {{{{ woooshhh }}}}} nothing but heat .. either the air was not working in there or they didnt have it on :mad:.. so I decided that I HAD to workout anyway .. was gonna do a quick walk w/the fan on me .. well the fan only moved the HOT air on me ... I did 8 minutes got ticked and decided it HAD to be cooler outside .. HA :confused: .. I started walking and a slight HOT breeze was blowing but at least I could breath well 10 min into my walk the breeze DIED ... the sun came out .. I started dripping sweat :confused: :mad: and thought OMG this was a mistake .. I cut my walk short .. praying I got back to the gym w/o looking like a drowned rat ... HA .. end result the entire back of my head a sweaty mess .. makeup dripping off .. shorts and bra top wet ....:mad: .. and I had to go back to work .. WTH??? So I toweled off .. baby powdered up .. and only had a compact to try to fix the face :confused: .. then rushed to get me a salad .. came in looking ragged .. and opened the salad .. it was all the ENDS of the lettuce :mad::mad: .. well this just does it .. I HATE the ends of the salad... NOW I AM REALLY TICKED ... :mad:.. talk about putting me in a BAAAAAAAAD mood ...

OK .. finished w/my rant .. I have recovered ... and just ate me a peach .. and feeling a bit better .. aaahhhhh .. THE DAMNED FULL MOON thing again .. LOLL ...

DI and Jen .. Yes we fish in the Gulf .. out of Panama City FL .. and we kidded by DB last time about being bad luck .. and HE joked about it this past weekend .. that he was gonna be bad luck .. :confused: .. errrrrrrrrr .. the seas are not clearing as expected .. there might be something to that .. poor thing!!! He needs a break from his job .. to get away and let loose .. I hope things work out for the weekend ..

Back after my lunch with freestyle leg lunges. Did 2X 5 types of lunges onto the stepper top (doesn't hurt my knees as badly). Well so much for not sweating. Used no weights and still had a face and back drip going on. Oh well, just dry off, add the ol' underarm goop and away I go. Haven't turned on the A/C in our office yet so that can be my excuse ! :rolleyes: :eek:

Laura - nice job on the 10K ! My ped didn't count all my lunges so I'm only up to 2K and it is 2PM. Gonna have to get in a good run tonight or I won't have 2 days in a row. Perhpas I'll move some from yesterday? :p

Sorry about your lunch drama - a peach is the best way to get going again. Some nice hearty food, yep ! Hope you get a great workout in tonight and that the weather holds out for your trip. I did hear the East is taking a beating weatherwise.

Jen - yes the Terminator DVD looks great. My player only holds one DVD so I don't have the luxury of going quickly back and forth between DVD's. I enjoyed the workout - have only done the one and there are three on the DVD. They are all bascally circuit type workouts similar to what you are creating yourself. Weights with cardio in between. I just got NMTZ & Power Sculpt too - need to check out Jari now that Wendy has filled me in a bit. First I should probably do the ones I have though? :rolleyes: Wowsers - you hit 20K steps? You must have been moving the entire time you were awake ! Well a great deficit is a perfect answer. Definitely what I need ! ;)

Diana - Way to go getting your workout in the AM ! Now I have to ask if you ate within 30 min? :p It would be nice not to count cals but I'd probably do it for a bit to gauge. Will be anxious to hear how it goes for you. So last night's workout seemed killer - not sure I could have done anywhere near that after a leg workout. Good for you ! How are you feeling after your day on the nutrition plan?

Wendy - Well great job getting your steps in 2 days in a row - hope you get there today too ! I have the weighted gloves (those blue ones that came with the DVD set) for TJ but they are so uncomfortable. Is that what you use or do you have something different? I've tried using them cuz I'd really love a better workout but can only wear them about 5 - 10 min before they drive me nuts ! :eek: Hope your evening with Mom was a good one (with not too many cals after your great loss today !).:D

Off to get something productive done (I'll do some for you Jen ! :p)
 
Hey Girls,

I did do CLX cardio at lunch and was a sweaty mess. It's only about 25 min long and I burned 244 cals. That seems about right for the short workout but not really worth changing clothes and getting all sweaty.... At least I did something.

It's almost time for me to get outta here and head to Jerod's games. Yep, another doubleheader. His Friday game is a doubleheader too. It just makes for a long night. Plus, I have to be packed since my flight is so early on sat. I'm going to visit my granddaughter's again for their baptism.

Laura-Oh, a peach sounds delicious right now. Sorry your afternoon plan didn't go quite as planned. We all have days like that every now and then.

Off to the ballgame(s)...

Jacque-I grabbed a handful of almonds on my way in to work...does that count??? I'm working on it though. It's just a shift in my morning routine and I'll have to work on it. I'm still learning the program. I pretty much have to do it on my own and check in with the NC every few weeks it sounds. I think she'll weigh me and take my bf every 3 weeks....not sure though. Tomorrow I have to be to work at 7:30 and will not be working out first.
 
I got in an hour's walk with BF tonight. Goin' to bed with 11,200+ steps on my ped for the day. This is a 3 day streak ladies! I'm so excited! :D:p

Diana - Way to get a workout in, short is better than nothin' ! Hope the games go well for Jerod. Well the almonds are def better than not eating anything. Protein and healthy fats - toss in a piece of grainy bread and you'd be good to go. I always keep hard boiled eggs for a quickie - just eat the whites which are low cal and good amount of protein. Another of my fav afternoon quickies is shelled edamame with a touch of salt. Yum for some carbs, low fat and protein. Have you ever made the protein pancakes? Those are great in the AM - you can eat 'em on the way to work. Or a smoothie: protein powder with some fruit, can add a little milk or whatever. The hard part is just planning ahead - I know - I'm definitely not great at it myself but have been trying harder.

Wendy - Woo Hoo on the step count - 3 DAYS IN A ROW. :eek:
I think we'll be about dead even today as I'm at 11K after my run and it's only 7 PM. Can't believe I did nearly 8K steps on my run. Well actually more like a jog as my legs were dogging it after those lunges at lunchtime today.

I ran my usual loop - about 4.25 miles. Went the "hard direction" with the steep hill. Didn't know that 200 lunges that early in the day would take me out like they did. Man, I like the fact that I feel it just under the behind, right where I'd like to reduce ! :p Hoping I can walk in the AM. :cool:
