Guess it's just one of those S L O W weeks with half of us gone, huh?

Thought I'd get us started . . . BBL to see if anyone else has a chance to get here.

Good Morning, girls!!

I'm sorry about being so delinquent with personals the past couple days :eek: Since the kids left for vacation, I've actually been busier than usual, believe it or not! The boss is back in the office as of yesterday and it has been busy preparing for hearings and creditors meetings, but I'm hopeful I'll have more time on my hands today.

Yesterday morning I ran on the treadmill for 20 minutes before I decided that I just wasn't feeling it, so I scrapped that and did the four power circuits from BM2. Then I took my usual walk at lunch, and went out on the road for a quick two miles with the dog when I got home. I think I finally found the secret to taking her out on the leash and getting her not to pull me the whole way, and that's to just RUN :p! She had to keep up with me ;) (kinda...)

This morning I hit the road again for another run, and I got in about 4.5 miles. It felt so good to be out there and not on the treadmill. Will walk at lunch, and probably won't get the dog out for a walk (run) tonight because I've got an appointment, but we'll see about that later.

Gotta get some work done but I'll be popping back in to see what everyone is up to, I promise!

Morning Ladies!!!!

Well class was packed .. and I ended up doing circuit b/c they were already set up for it .. gggrrrrrr .. and I had some newbies .. it is a bit easier to follow .. but I did do longer cardio segments .. and did not allow any rest between LB and UB sets ... I didnt make the 10K goal ..:( .. I ended up around 8500 .. but that is pretty good considering I got in my chair at work when I arrived and did not move until lunch .. NO WALKING at all .. then errands at lunch.. I did get a 10 min break in the afternoon .. climbed 8 flights of stairs .. so that was good .. but when I got home I got to watching the Bachelorette .. and didnt get my exta walk in .. VBF was calling every commercial break to talk about it .. LOL.. so no extra steps .. WILL DO BETTER TODAY .. but the eats I did good on .. grilled snapper and rice at lunch .. and a baked potato for supper .. w/fruit as snacks ..

Jen.. yes slow week for posting .. where is Miss Wendy .. is she still on vaca????

Jacque .. YUP .. it is HOT here ... HUMID hot .. but not as hot as it was a few weeks back .. but hot none the less .. makes it hard to breath!!! YAYAYAYA on making the 10K goal .. I have got to get the extra walk/run in to get my numbers up there b/c of my desk job .. WE CAN DO IT!!!

Lori .. glad you enjoy my post .. yup I am a big goofball .. LOL .. :p .. wish I could run like you girl .. man you are logging some good ones here lately!!! I wouldnt have to worry about being w/the tiny winnies if I would get off my arse and run like you .. LOL about the toilet stop .. gosh I hate that .. my stomach has a mind of it's own .. and does not cooperate a lot of the time :eek:

OK .. gotta run .. reports are calling my name .. I WILL take my break this morning and trek it up those stairs ... and I AM going to workout at lunch .. hopefully the elliptical if the room isnt too hot ..if it is it will be BBC arms .. tonight is 4 step plyo pushup core torture class :eek: have not done it in 2 weeks .. gonna be a killer!!! Have a great one!!:)
 
Laura: You crack me up! You sound like you really enjoy inflicting pain on your class! And they keep coming back? Masochists ;):D
 
No time to check in at work ! :mad:

At home and the plan was an outdoor run - but since it's 97' outside and 87' inside I guess I'll choose and indoor workout. May wait a little bit to see if by some miracle a breeze comes up?:confused:

Laura - bummer you didn't do the workout you had planned but sounds like the extra cardio made up for some of it. Plus no rest between sets helps too ! I don't think you were too far off the 10K. After all, it only takes about a 12 min or so walk to get that many steps in. The weights and cardio took care of the steps.

LOL about VBF and you girls watching the Bachelorette. Every once in a while I see a show like that an usually don't change it. Good job on the eats - So all you had was a potato for dinner? That wouldn't tide me over all night. I'd probably be up in the middle of my sleeping and eat a spoonful of PB or something.

I think Diana should be back tomorrow but Wendy was going for 5 days (?) and left on Sat if I remember correctly. She may be gone a bit longer still. Oh my - how did your workout for tonight go?

Jen - Yep I was shocked I was starting this thread ! :eek: It's good you are keeping busy - I tell you it is nice not to have others you have to work your schedule around, right ! ;) I do miss the daily interaction with my kids though. :( <<<holds hands out and tries to weigh the difference - figures I spent enough time catering to others and decides life is good as it is>>> :p

BM2 power circuits, huh? Need to check that one out for sure. Sounds like you got a goodie in there last night even though you weren't "feeling it". And the a great run this AM before work. I watered outside rather than working out this AM. Just haven't gotten brave enough to wake DH up earlier than his alarms go off. He stays in bed until 6 but that is too late to start a workout. I'd love it at 5 but would be waking him us since my workout room shares a wall with our bedroom. :confused: LOL that your dog likes to run but can't quite keep up. What kind is she again ?

Well I have only 3K steps to date - time to get up and find something to do to increase that sad sad #. Until later . . .
