Good Morning Girls!

Made a very bad choice and stayed up waaay to late last night watching a movie! DS woke up just before the movie was over so I had to sleep with him, until I woke up around 6'ish....then I moved out into my own bed for a while. Then the sweet sound of "mommy" woke me up at 7! I got up and when I looked he was gone back to sleep!:mad: So I am up anyway!

I just wanted to get us started. Ill read yesterday's thread...then I will return!

Wendy** Good job with the workout yesterday! I didn't think tonique was about weights, that's why I didn't bother. BUT you almost got me with the Bob Harper post on FB last night. I almost ordered all 4 dvds but I am going to wait and hear your reviews first!!!!

Diana** I am sure if you set your mind to it you could lose 15 lbs by sept. Summer and Christmas is such a hard time to lose weights. To many bbq's, to many drinks......and the list goes on!

Laura** Sorry to hear things have been crazy for you. Are you back to working out yet?

Jacque** Do you get headaches very often? I use to get them when I was a child and they were awful! Haven't had one in years!!! Knock on wood. I have had headaches, just not really bad ones. Glad to hear DH fixed the cleaner!!! LOL

Did 4DS K/B and assorted exercises from B&G and GS Legs this morning along with my own lower ab work.

Gotta jet but I'll BBL from work for personals! :)
 
Morning Ladies,

My qauds are still sore from lifting the other day. Today will be hamstrings, calves and back at the rec ctr. This morning will be 4DS KB and abs.

Although I thought we had decided against getting a new A/C unit, one is being put in today. It's DH that can't take the heat, not me...and it hasn't really been that hot yet.

Wendy-I can't wait to hear your Bob Harper reviews! They looked pretty good to me...yeah-I did go back and preview the w/o's.;) I'm holding out for Turbo Fire which is scheduled to be released on June 18th.

Lori-sorry DS got you up and then he went back to sleep...kids! Actually summer is good time for me to lose weight as there are tons of fresh fruits and veggies available. Going back to the 2 w/o's per day should help, along with the running.

Jacque-glad DH was able to fix the carpet cleaner. Sorry you haven't been feeling well the last couple of days. Maybe you should start back with an easier w/o and see how it goes.

Laura-how was your class last night. Hope it wasn't too painful for you.

Laura Sorry the election didn't go as hoped but your brother still has a chance to win so fingers crossed! MIST is Max Interval Sports Training. It's one of the DELUXE Insanity work outs.

Diana Why can't you run on the TM?? Or is it that you don't like it? Oh I hate heat when I am inside. It's not supposed to be hot indoors and when I am trying to sleep the heat is even worse!!!! We have a/c and or a fan going all year long!!!! I need the air!!!

Jacque Yeah rash is almost gone. Thank goodness. No trip to the doc needed! YAY! Well the Bob Harper work outs are set to start shipping on June 8. If I get them in time and can fit them in before my STS start date I am ofcourse going to try them but then you will be safe from them (except for the cardio one) until my recovery weeks between mesos. :p Glad the carpet cleaner appears to be fixed. Fingers x'd that you can get your carpets done soon! Sorry about the all day headache. Hate that!!!!

Lori I didn't think you'd be interested in Tonique. You should look into the Amy Bento one I mentioned though as well as Kelly's stuff! Good luck with your search!
 
Morning Ladies ..

OCHIEWAWA!!!!! :eek: Oh my Lord do my legs and butt hurt :confused: I mean it is PAINFUL to get up out of a chair and make the legs work .. UBER DOMS in butt, quads, and hammies! I am NEVER sore in my quads .. but OMG I am NOW!!! :eek: GGGEESSSSSHHHH!!! I only taught 30 min class .. all lower body shaping .. did set w/heavy weights .. then longer rep set of no weights .. my legs were rubber when I left!!!! SIL is cussing me .. said she cant walk straight ... I did good .. notice I take shorter breaths .. guess I am trying not to hurt ..I end up coughing which hurts .. but I did ok .. the left side lunge did a number on the rib though .. was in PAIN w/it .. had to stop.. but overall it was awesome class that induced MAJOR DOMS!!! :D It felt goooood to hurt and sweat again :eek:

Lori .. as you can see my first class I taught since the stupid accident ... it felt good to move and sweat and now feel those DOMS again ... but it wasnt comfortable and I cant stand not being able to do something like I want it .. sooooooo that kinda made my ego hurt a little too!!

Wendy .. OH GEESH .. you know I am gonna have to go chk out delux insanity .. although no way am I gonna be able to attempt that for a while .. and I DONT like being WIMPY it is NOT in my blood!!! stupid cracked rib!! :mad:

Di .. isnt that the way it is .. the DH can explain and warrant soemthing THEY want .. but if we were to suggest it .. it would NOT be that easy.. LOL .. although a good A/C unit is good investment!! it has been in the 90's for a while here .. and the a/c is a MUST!! not a luxery but a necessity!!!

Jacque .. hoping the head and legs feeling better ... and you find out what the culprit is ..

Well this was to be our fishing weekend .. DH got back last night .. had 2 slick calm days of great fishing .. and of course tmrw when I am supposed to go .. some system is moving in and it is 5 ft seas :( .. and what is worse .. this system is gonna blow some of the oil our way .. they have already closed fishing all the way to Destin, FL .. about 45 miles away from PC where we fish .. DH says we will be LUCKY to fish next week .. he thinks they will be closing our waters soooon!! :( :( :( this is such a tragedy for the Gulf Coast region .. and our ecological system .. I just cant imagine what is gonna happen!!! :(

Anyway .. I will be on vac tmrw anyways .. DH is off for 2 weeks .. so we are going to Biloxi, MS .. do some gambling .. eating ... and drinking and chkng out the oil spill .. maybe touch base w/some of our LA buds .. then maybe next week the waters will still be open and the seas calm down and I can get at least ONE fishing trip in *sigh*

I am teaching tonight .. going to attemp 4 step class .. minus plyo and pushups .. :confused: we will see how it goes!!:confused: Have a great one!:D
 
Good afternoon girls !

Well last night I went back and tried my workout again and got half of it accomplished before the legs started feeling weak again . . . 4DS KB so at least did 30 min worth. Tonight I think I'll have a snack when I get home and see of a Plyo Legs can be done. Feeling like a heavy duty workout, at least at this point in my day ! :rolleyes:

Lori - So you still resting young lady??? I hope so ! :p How is work going? I do get sinus headaches, usually when the trees & weeds are in bloom and it rains or is windy. I have nasal spray but it doesn't totally work - haven't figured out how to get rid of the headaches yet, usually just have to wait a day or two and they subside. Just can't bring myself to workout when my head hurts cuz it ends up pounding, even with weights. Should be OK in a month or so when all the blooming is done ! :D

Wendy - Good the rash is gone - with my "sensitivities" I have to watch products on my skin - got an overall rash once from lotion with bee pollen in it. Went to the doc and had to take prednisone pills to rid it. Then had carpal once and the Bextra they gave me caused an all over rash - thought I was gonna die when the gave me an epi shot ! LOL you followed me with 4DS KB, huh? Not terribly hard but sure made me sweat. Course we did have nice warm 85' last night so that helped a bit! :p How are Bob's new DVD's different that the BL's ? And we are supposed to be 90's this weekend so looks like it will be perfect for drying the carpets. Just would have rather done them on a 3 day weekend ! :mad:

Diana - 4DS is popular around here lately . . . I like the shorter workouts but am enjoying the premixes on that one too ! Well there are times I'd love AC - probably next week when it will be 100', but we won't ever get it as we are both used to the heat. Our average temp here is probably 85 - 90 during the summer but is dry so not too bad. Just don't wear as many clothes ! ;)

Laura - WOO HOO DOMS again for you ! Glad to see you are able to ease back into your teaching. Just be careful, but I know you will be. LOL at SIL being worse off than you ! he he he . . . she loves it as much as you do ! :D *crossing fingers* for a fishing trip either this weekend or next week for you. Boy oh boy are the reports dismal re: the oil spill. Hopefully they can get this new "cap" to work and the two relief wells drilled without issues. When I was 10, on my birthday, we had an oil spill in Santa Barbara and I remember all the beaches and wildlife being inundated. We had no where near things like the marshes and it was cleaned up quite a bit quicker. Not as many fishermen affected as you are having. A definite ugly scene . . . Well you take it easy with your 4 steps tonight and enjoy your vaca day tomorrow !

Off to get back to work . . . and will BBL with a workout of some sort ! :eek:

Completed 4DS KB this morning and then Hamstrings, Calves, Back and abs at the rec ctr today. My quads are still sore from lifting the other day and my hammies and glutes are sore from running. They'll toughen up in no time. Tomorrow morning will be another 5 mile run, and maybe a work from home day too.

Laura-glad you were able to tackle your first class, albeit with a few modifications. Just seeing the oil projecting out of the ocean floor for so many days now seems unreal. You would think a drilling company would have mitigation plans. Enjoy your vacation day tomorrow and hope the seas calm down enough for you to get your fishing trip in. Considering we don't have any money....I figured we could go 1 summer w/o A/C and get in the spring with our tax refund.

Jacque-glad you are finally starting to feel better. Working out makes you feel better too.:D Do your best and forget the rest-Tony Horton. I'm expecting serious DOMs with my new weight rotation and actually am looking forward to the pain.

Wendy-my wt rotation alternates weekly, week 1 is 4X12 and week 2 is 3X8. Although I feel I can go heavier, the 4th set is a real struggle. I think Bob Harper looks great ;) he's a cutie...and his workouts look pretty good too!
 
Okie dokie folksies . . . Plyo Legs # 35 done ! Not sure I've done this one since I did the squat rack with the first go round and never did Meso 3 this time. I think I liked this one the best.

Diana - great job on your workouts ! You are sooooo right that I feel better when I work out. After finishing tonight I was thinking it sucks when my head hurts and I can't get to it. Almost feel like I am floating on air life can't get better. Hopefully the pollens will stay away for a while now. LOL you are looking forward to the pain. I'll be a little surprised myself if I don't feel today's workout - my legs were getting weak toward the end. Thinking of a run tomorrow which always helps them heal more quickly. You are so lucky you can work from home . . . I totally wish. How is your "managing" going?

I'm sure AC will be nice but I know how you feel. DH told our BBQ buddy we'd go to the BBQ rib cookoff in Reno Labor Day weekend. Went a couple years ago and it was pretty good. He asks if we have the funds . . . well we are not broke but are skimping and don't know what the future brings. How do I answer that? Wish I knew what the future will bring. Then again, am hoping I get a raise in July and just found out that it sounds like I'll be involved more strategically - at least going to the Sr. Mgmt meetings in the future. Hopefully this is the break I have been waiting for ! (You remember all my whining in SD, right? ;)).

Time to go check on din din - grilled burgers - think I'll go grab some nice fresh romaine leaves from the garden instead of using a bun. :p Toodles.
