Hey Girls.

I was the last to post last night so make sure you check that out if you haven't already. :) Today calls for Shape It Up. I am looking forward to it. I think I will start trying to add short cardios on to the end of a few SS work outs each week. It's not all too likely to happen after Shape It Up or Tear It Up as they are 80 mins a piece but the other 3 should be doable so we'll see.

I think you all are rubbing off on me....I am starting to seriously consider purchasing the GWF. :eek: I still have my reasons for not wanting to purchase it but after struggling to lean out and listening to the GWF success stories I am beginning to think it's worth a shot. Afterall, they always say that knowledge is power, right? :D Now I have to come up with the cash! :p It kills me to spend so much money just to lose maybe 5 pounds but I have been spinning my wheels for months now and I am just stuck! I don't know what else to do! I was looking at the official site and you can get the armband, display and a one year subscription to the website for $249.90. That's a good deal IMO and yes, that helped to convince me. :)

So we had a nice visit with DH's cousin last night. They forced me to eat 3 oreos and a couple pieces of a caramel apple though. The nerve of them! ;)

I am working this morning and we are going to MIL's later for dinner. Gotta celebrate DH's Birthday there.

Good Morning Wendy, and all who follow!

This morning's workout was a run, but I'm still sporting some DOMS in the legs from Monday's PLB, and now I"m feeling yesterday's PUB everywhere else, so I decided not to kill myself today :p and only did 3.25 miles. I'll also take a walk at lunch.

Wendy: Do it, do it, do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I know it's a lot of money, but when I think about all the other money I have spent on fitness stuff, this just seemed to be a wiser purchase. And even though it's only for five pounds or so, I figure it'll come in handy when I need that reality check...say around the holidays or something when I tend to get a little lazy. Great job with all your walks yesterday! You must have flown past the 10k mark, huh?

Off to do some work, but will bbl~

Good Morning Ladies!

I'm so glad the week is progressing. I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Another night of not sleeping...UGH I hate this groggy feeling. Today though, I'm going to try to kick this feeling to the curb with pyramid upper this morning.

Yesterday I did make it to the gym for leg training. I was able to maintain my usual heavy weights, but changed the pace a bit, 2/2, 3/1 etc. My inner thighs have a nice tightness to them this morning. I was reading Oxygen last night and they have a 4 week leg training program. I might give that a try.

I'm really close to biting the bullet and ordering Insanity from beachbody. I've been trying not too since I already have STS cardio paid for. We'll see, it just looks like its right up my alley...kind of w/o's. Not sure about the no weights needed...it sounds like most folks are continuing to lift anyway.

Wendy-I don't blame you a bit for wanting the GWF. I really want one too. If money were no object I'd have one by now. When is your friend going to join our checkin??? She's welcome anytime.

Jacque-You might be interested in the Oxygen leg w/o. I haven't checked to see if they have it on their website. Funny story about the missing house key. I ended up giving my house key to my middle DS for his 10th birthday. That's what he wanted...so he could come home after school and not go to afterschool care. A couple years ago DH put an external garage door opener so now Jerod doesn't need a key. It was quite difficult explaining to Jerod not to give the code to anyone.

hello Ladies ..

the meeting ran long ystdy * double ugh* and I almost missed my appnt .. but I got there .. she waiting thank goodness .. and man did she ever cut my hair .. :eek: ... it is a lot shorter w/funky chunky layers all over ... I think she like experimenting w/funky chunky layered cuts w/my hair .. it does good in lots of layers .. but I love it and it will be perfect for the Keys .. low fuss you know??

No w/o yesterday .. lunch I ate a spoonfull of barbque .. a few green beans .. some butter beans .. and some mashed potatoes .. last night DH had filet mignon :)grilled .. YUUUUMMMMY!!!!

Today I did a 20 min walk at lunch on the TM ... managed about 1.5 miles .. not sweaty .. so it was good .. tonight is PLYO class followed by core work! My man DID show back for the 4 step class .. I gave him kudos for that ... so he might just stay w/the class for a while .. he did good and was a sweaty grunting mess at the end ... { insert very evil grin }

Wendy .. ok .. spill .. where is the GWF website .. heard too much about it .. gotta at least check it out ... I swear .. (shaking finger at monitor) .. you guys are a bunch of heavy duty enablers!!! jk (sorta) :D

Jacque .. OMG .. the key ordeal .. YIKES .. I would have been in a panik .. as I was reading I was thinking that you were going to re-trace your run and try to find the key .. I was thinking YIKES .. Jacque is gonna have a MEGA w/o today .. LOL!!!

Jen ..sounds like you have been torturing your body .. I am usually the DOMS girlie .. LOL

Di ... sorry about the sleep issue .. bummer .. I hate that .. I think last night I closed my eyes and went into a sleep coma .. I dont remember moving at all .. and was all numb when I woke up .. GOOD sleep .. maybe tonight you can get some shut eye .. I looked at Insanity too .. but since I ordered STS cardio .. figured it was a better investment ..

Didn't have time to come back but had a great laugh as I went to hop in the shower yesterday after my run . . . my key fell on the floor ! Yeppers, was hiding in my shorts the entire time ! :eek: I did feel around when I was near the end of my wits - wonder where it was ? :p

Wendy - LOL about GWF. I actually put it in my cart on amazon yesterday and then started searching a bit before I hit send. I'm still not sure about wearing it with my blouses to work (no way to hide it !). Am thinking of possibly just ditching it at work or wearing it on a Friday when it is dress down just to get a gauge - I really don't vary too much when I wear my ped anyway. Walking and sitting cals aren't very high. That's a great price, though I think you may have to still pay a low monthly subscription - at least that is what the others were showing (just that you are signing up for a year so you get a lower price on the actual products). Will check it out in a few. Are the SS's weight work or a combo of weight/cardio? I just absolutely hate it when I get held down and have Oreos stuffed in my mouth ! :p Good to hear you enjoyed yourself.

Jen - Way to run around with Pyramid DOMS ! I like a slow run when I have sore legs as it helps them heal more quickly. Hope it isn't too bad tomorrow. ITA about spending the $ now or on other "fitness stuff". Besides, it is all for peace of mind too. Wonder how much the stress of not being able to lose those last few pounds is hurting the loss itself - or even worse, making us obsessive ! :eek::rolleyes:

Diana – I spent about half the day doing carpets and then saw my friend for a highlight and cut. Came out great – got lots of compliments at work which is not why I did it but it helped justify the expense in my book ! LOL ! I'm excited tomorrow is Friday again too ! Just not liking working lately - want to play ! :D Sorry about the sleeplessness again. Have you ever tried Melatonin? I would use it after a few nights of not sleeping well. Make sure you take it so you can give yourself 8 hours of sleep and take it about half an hour before bed. Helped me lots, especially the beginning of this year. Now I have been sleeping the night through but have been tired the last two days? Not sure why. I so dislike when our bodies throw us curveballs like this !:mad: LOL about the BDay present of a key. Quite practical and inexpensive when you think of the daycare you saved too ! ;) I liked the sound of Insanity, but for the price and since Cathe has already started working on STS Cardio I think I'm gonna pass. Unless you all get me going . . . ;) Such great reviews from the ladies on the OD forum too ! :rolleyes: I used to get Oxygen - think I still do. Will check it out a bit later for that leg workout, thanks ! :D

Laura - bummer about the meeting but sounds like the hair appt went well. Are you gonna post a pic of your "fussless hairdo" while in the Keys? Good job on the walk at lunch - LOL about your "man"erciser in the class. Sounds a bit like our "Jerry" here on the forums. Hope he sticks it out for a while. Will make the ladies work harder too I bet !;) Yep the key thing was a bit frustrating. I mean I had no purse, no phone, no car keys. How the heck could I get in? Almost figured I'd be waiting from 11 AM until 6 PM for DH to come home. I'm not sure what I would have done. Will plan ahead just in case now though !

Long Lost Lori . . . hope all is going well in your "neck of the woods" (to quote my favorite weather man Al Roker). Only a few days 'til race day - things still going well for that?

Off to hit a FB workout - probably a premix . . . thinking of checking the Pyramid premixes, both UB & LB.

OK - came back for a quickie for two reasons:

1. Did Pyramid Bonus Combo - it was a great 50 min workout that was most of the exercises but going up the pyramid only.

2. While posting on the OD I noticed I was at 999 posts and wanted to make 1,000 tonight while on the forum with my girls ! Tonight I turned into a Cathlete. (Well, actually, I had loads of posts before they changed the website but could never get my original moniker back so started over at square 1).

Okie dokie, nighty nite my friends ! :D
