Damage Control Thursday

Diana: Never heard of CB & Potts restaurant. We don't have them around here. Too bad cause it sounds like a goody! :) I guess X-scream is a bit of a crazy ride but I loved it! I have issues with motion sickness and this ride did not bother it. It just scared the cr@p outta me so it was fun! The rest of the rides in LV are pretty much coasters with loops and corkscrews. I love coasters but can't handle going upside down so I couldn't go on any of them. :( So did you get your work out in last night? What did you do?

Jacque:
It hurts real bad like bones crunching so I didn't do those.
OMG, I sure do hope you skipped any exercise that feels like that when you do it! Everyone I am talking too is being walloped by DST. Even the kids so I don't think it's our age showing. ;) I am sure part of my problem is the time change from vacation as well.

Lori: Heck, I wish I had a house cleaner! I am okay at maintenence cleaning but I stink at those periodic "deep cleans". I try but I don't think I am very good at it. *shrugs* Oh well. Only in my dreams will I ever get a maid....

Okay, that catches me up on personals. I really want to run today since I have the day off but today calls for Burn Intervals (and Ab Burner). I don't want to add a run on to that since BI already has cardio in it that whoops me. It's not too big of a deal though as I can pretty much skip out to the gym any time tmrw afternoon since DH is home right now. Might as well take advantage, right? ;) Actually come to think of it, tmrw is BC#3. That's all legs w/shoulder work. A run after that work out will be PERFECT! :D

K, that's all for now but I'll be back!:)

Good Morning!

I am probably up to early:confused: I got a little sleep at work and about 3 hrs at home. Not enough....but I feel fine! Lets see what happens as the day progresses:confused: TTOM is coming and no sleep....whose head will i chew off first?;):D

While I was waiting for my plane at 5 I downloaded the last 3 cc's that interest me. So now I have 2-8:D DH burned #6 for me last night so I will do that one today, along with Disc 5. DS is going to have a nap today (time to play catch up) so I will have lots of time to get my workout in:) But then again...thats what I thought yesterday!

Wendy** Enjoy your workout, whatever you decide. One of the girls in our babygroup could never host bg cause she always had her housecleaner coming on Tuesday:confused: Then my other friend as a nanny and when the nanny takes one kid swimming ( on Mondays) she needs another sitter to take care of the other 2:eek: Sometimes I wonder what planet I am on? And she doesn't even have to work! LOL

I wiil bbl to report my workout. DS and I have to run out and get some things at the grocery store!

Lori:)

Lori: Wow, nannies and sitters and maids and she doesn't work!? I fully intend to get back to work f/t some day and if the additional salary allows for it, I may hire a maid service for that seasonal deep clean I mentioned before. Having a nanny when you don't work though is ridiculous. The entire reason for not working is so that YOU can raise your kid yourself. If you are STILL going to hire someone to do it then GO BACK TO WORK!!!! Oh who are we kidding Lori...we are just jealous! LOL We would do it in a heartbeat too if we could, right? ;)

Good Morning Ladies,

No workout to report for yesterday. I'm off to do Disc 11 this morning and have meltdown class tonight. I have until the end of the month to decide if I'm going to run the HM in June. I would much prefer to do my running in the morning but it's still pretty cold here in the morning. I will have to start making my lunch w/o a priority if I really wan to do this.

I'm happy to say that we have booked our flights to go visit my granddaughters!!! We are leaving May 29th and coming back on June 3rd. DH, Jerod, MIL and myself will be going. I'm really excited about it.

All this talk about maids and nannies....hhhmmm. Well I can honestly say that staying home when my kids were young was never an option. Simply put, we could not afford it. We were both 22 and working full time for peanuts. We lived in a 800 sq ft apt and moved to a 2 bed/2 bath apt just before DS was born. I had a 9 week unpaid maternity leave. If it hadn't been for my inlaws buying us food and diapers etc I don't know how we would've gotten by. Be greatful for the time you get to spend with the kids because they grow up before you know it. A maid on the other hand sounds wonderful- I just don't want to pay for someone to clean my house. Cheap, I know.

Time to get going on that w/o...bbl

Hi Girls...Where is everyone???

Disc 11 is a goodie. My triceps were trembling by the end of the w/o. My meltdown class will be my cardio for today. I have some errands to run at lunch and may even take my son to lunch.

Jacque-thanks for the info on the runner's world site. I'm going to check that out and let you know what I think.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Hiya chickadees !

Was ordering new bands, lifting hooks and a balancing ball before work so didn't have time to pop in here ! :p My band pieces are not long enough to do the bandwork in STS so it is a must have. And the heavier weights are getting hard for my forearms and hands to hold so guess I'll try to hooks to see if I may be able to lift heavier next two phases.

Wendy - I did adjust or not do some of the pushups - was thinking yesterday though, I may try doing them on a step or against the wall - or perhaps do some bench presses instead. OK - I give - what is DST?

Hope you enjoyed your workout today.

Lori - another night of yucky sleep ! Take a nap girl ! ! ! ;) LOL about chewing heads off. That is quite a picture.

Diana - since you didn't workout yesterday we are on the same page again ! :p My tri's hurt after the last tri workout. Guess I won't be typing much tonight ! LOL but when I was looking for my CC's printouts last night I found one of Hal's HM workouts.

Glad you have your vacation plans set - it will be here before you know it. And the timing couldn't be better - STS will be complete !

BBL after my workout . . .

I am getting worried about Laura . . . :(

Hey Girls,

I did CC# 6 and Disc 5. V6 isn't a workout I could do 2x's....unless I had tons of sleep!:D (maybe) That was by far the hardest cc that I have done, but then again, its all in how hard you push yourself right? I did 7% incline and 8 MPH for the first challenge,6.5 for rest and 9.0 for the sprints and the last sprint I did 9.5. The last challenge was a steady incline reaching a level 4 near the end of the 4 mins. I think I did 7.0 @ 10% incline. I did 5.5 miles in 50 mins. Disc 5 was also good but I don't think I will be getting much DOMS from it:( Oh well!

Wendy** No, my friend works...but she doesn't have to! But then again, I wouldn't want to be home with 3 boys all day long either:eek: LOL I don't even want to be home with the one I have all day long:rolleyes::) It was all about mommy today! I think whoever fetches him in the morning is his fav.

Diana** You must be excited to have those tickets booked:) I know what you mean about the HM. If I were to train, it would have to be outside. A TM can never do a run justice. Not only that...it gets B-O-R-I-N-G!

Laura** Where are you?

Jacque** I told DH that I was due to start TTOM of month today....I said " I better not be pregnant" and he said.."im pretty sure your not" LOL In other words...I haven't been very nice lately:eek: I think he walks around on egg shells and few days before I start. My bands aren't long enough for the band work plus bicep curls either, prehaps I need a new one.

Well, Im not sure how this night at work is going to go. I am suppose to have a flight at 530 (yuck) but apparently another company is handling it, but maybe we are still refueling it? I have to figure that out. If not...I can go home at 4! Yippppppeeeeeeeeeee!

BBL!
Lori

Good Evening Girls.

So I did Burn Intervals (with tubing for a change of pace) and Extreme Abs this afternoon. All I can say is OUCHEES! That was one butt-kickin' work out and Extreme Abs is definitely tougher then Ab Burner! YEOWZAS!

I am sore. My legs/butt hurt. I have to do BC 3 tmrw along with a run. That is gonna HURT!

Lori: Oh if your friend works and they have a nanny well then more power to her! :D If she's a good nanny then that's a better option then regular group daycare IMO. Awesome job with the CC today!

Jacque: How do the lifting hooks work? You have me intrigued! :) DST is daylight savings time. Don't worry-I read that for the first time myself earlier in the week and didn't know what it was right away either! :p

Diana: I'm so happy that you have your plans set to go see your grandbabies! How fun!!! :D How was class tonight? A butt-kicker I am sure. I think if I kept yours or Laura's work out schedule that I would be sore and exhausted all of the time. I don't know how you girls do it! Kudos to you both!!!

Good night!:)

Back to report #11 DONE ! My tri's aren't as sore as last week, but I can feel them. After weights I did a 2.5 mile SS @ 11 mph pace. Felt good and got the ol' sweat dripping.

Lori - I still have CC6 sitting on my 'puter. Never did load it nor did I order 1 & 3. Hoping I get around to it this weekend. DH has been hogging the "fast" 'puter lots lately. Yeppers, hot wheels arriving in the mail on a daily basis right now ! LOL about the preggers stmt by DH ! I dared to stop taking my BC pills and am crossing my fingers that I really am done with TTOM for good now. Most of my symptoms seem to indicate it, but we will see . . .

Wendy - Did you ever figure out the poundage for the BB bands? I have them but am not sure. Always use the two toughest when subbing for pull ups. Can you enlighten me? Aha, DST. Thought you may have been typing STS too quickly. Boy was I waaaaayyyy off ! :p I finally have lost the DOMs from last Sat's STS leg workout. I did run the day after and did a couple of the harder cardios and it just kept the old DOMS doming ! I think I know how you will feel tomorrow night !

How's it going with DH home all day now?

Well, need to comb out the wet head and get it dry before bed. Nitey Nite !
