Late start for our thread this morning. IDK why I didn't start it at the butt crack of dawn like I usually do? Oh well. No biggie. Seems no one is around yet anyway or someone else would've likely started it for me...LORI..you are shirking your duties here lady! :p

Today's work out was STS Disc 3 (legs) plus 2 abs segments from BBC Chest and Abs. I gotta say, the ab work in this series is killer! I'm lovin' it! I never really thought about it before but it's good stuff! :D So I went heavier on legs today then I did in my previous attempt doing STS. Felt good. I used mostly 10 and 12# DB's last time. Today I used 15 and 20's mostly with a few 10's and 17.5's mixed in there. Felt good. I skipped the "bonus" segment at the end for time. I think I may utilize those segments for extra leg work outs when I have time. I was also thinking of taking a cardio day and splitting it up 30 mins for legs and 30 mins for cardio to get extra leg time in there since I've decided to work an 8 day rotation (7 on/1 off) instead of a 7 day rotation (6 on/1 off). We'll see how it works out for me. :)

Well, it's snowing here again. Left overs from the blizzard are still hanging around and now we are expecting another 2-4 today. Oh joy! :rolleyes: My best hope is that I can get outta here early today but not sure that will happen yet. If my son's school or aftercare program shuts down then I'll have no choice! Fingers crossed! ;)

Hi Ladies,

I'm so tired this morning. The girls are really tiring me out but I enjoy spending my days with them. Just drinking my coffee and hoping to wake up enough to get my w/o on.;)

The plan for this morning is STS Legs, DWP and abs. My legs and hips are sore from kickboxing and some add on glute work that I did. Even my shoulders are a bit sore!

I ordered a Paleo Diet book from Amazon and it should arrive next week. Eunice recommended it to me so I'll give it a try. I'm also in this 90 Day challenge with her, hope I can keep up with it.

Wendy-is BBC referring Barry's Boot Camp? I did that one a few weeks ago. I'm jealous, I want 17.5's. They only have them at the rec ctr, here at home I go from 15 to 20 which is a big jump sometimes. Hope the snow isn't too bad for you.

Diana:: Yes, BBC is Barry's Boot Camp. I haven't done the work outs in ages but I am enjoying using the ab segments. There are many to choose from. What's the 90 day challenge and this book all about? Inquiring minds want to know! ;) The 17.5's come in handy. I have them because it's a weight on Select Tech DB's I have. I also have plate mates though so I could still get that weight with them and my 15# DB's but now that I have the Select Techs they are the easier option. Do you have plate mates? Might be worth picking them up so long as you have cast iron DB's to use them on and not neoprene. Nice work out you have planned for today! :) HiiT: DWP is one of the work outs I am planning on purchasing as a download!

Another fly by post for moi! Maybe later my manager will leave the building and I will be able to catch up on personals.

Today I had a workout session at 6:15...getting up before 6 may just kill me:eek: Although, I think when I had to be at work for 8, I use to get up at 5:30 to let my workout in. Anyway...had my workout session and then I ran for 4 miles and did CM#1. I fell asleep with DS last night at 9:30:D so I should be good to go today!

Wendy** I would have started the thread cause I was here earlier but I knew my post would just interupt yours and I didn't want you to throw any tantrums today;)

Diana** Hopefully you can catch some extra z's tonight. Kids really tire us out! I feel your pain!

I am going to run out and do a few things, plus run home and check the mail cause I want my text books! I really hope they are here today b/c it gives me the weekend at work to do what I need to do with them. I have one workout session tonight and then I am taking down my tree. Should be a fairly relaxing evening.

Jacque:: I am the same way to a certain extent with the volume on the tv. If I fall alseep in the livingroom I am able to tolerate it better then I can in the bedroom but it annoys me eventually no matter where I am and I have to turn it down. Good job with MMA Boxing. I really enjoy that work out. MMA: Kickbox is good too except I can't get the 3rd combo :rolleyes: so last time I did it I just did whatever I felt like while trying to keep the same timing as Cathe and crew. It was okay but I really need to work on learning that combo! :confused:

Wow, I was last to post y'day at lunchtime? Hmmmmm . . .

Today will be STS D3 Legs today just like Wendy and Diana but it will be after work. Sharkies lost but had 40 shots ! ? :eek: Talk about dumb luck.

Wendy - nice workout as usual. Do you have a mulit-disc player or just switch out the DVD's for your mulit disc workouts? How do you remember which discs have which w/o's ? I'd need an excel file ! Haven't done MMA KB more than once I don't think - I'm guessing it will be coming up in the rotation soon though.

Diana - funny how the little ones can tucker us out now that we are the grandparents and not the parents, huh? I wouldn't give it up for the world though. How much longer are they here and when do you go back to work? I bought 2 sets of Pace Weights before STS came in and I like them loads. I have even attached them to my weight vest to add #'s. They work OK on neoprene as long as you are going slow and I never use them if they'll be over my head. :p So a quickie look at the Paleo Diet seems similar to my standard way of eating when I am behaving. I always feel best when I eat more often, less at once and mostly proteins, veggies & fruits. I won't have much choice once I start commuting. For some reason right now I am carb overloading ! Very unlike me so I'm thinking it is emotional. :eek:

Lori - good job on getting your workout in today. LOL at you taking a relaxing evening. Not sure we have the same idea of "relax". :D Hope you get your books so you can forge ahead with your PT cert.

Well I was only able to do Disc 6 (Legs) and am not too torn up over it.:p It was a tough w/o...I sucked down 48oz of water during this w/o. The girls woke up and I needed to tend to them. Unfortunately that means that I won't get in a cardio session today.:mad:

Wendy-I can't tell you much about the Paleo diet...I don't know yet. It sounds like it is the way our ancestors ate, before there was all this processed. I'll fill you in when I get the book next week. The 90 day challenge was FB thing. We actually had to post our pics-yikes. I think there are about 75 participants and we have to post pics at days 1/30/60/90 and then all of us participants select the winner. There is prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd-I think. Not much as it was only $20 entry fee. Thanks for the info on the plate mates!

Jacque-Can you take a cooler to work??? That's what I do and it really helps to plan and cook my meals on Sunday. I usually cook all my egg whites/spinach, oatmeal/steel cut oats and divide them up into containers for the week. I usually make salads for lunch (only 2 at a time though) and add a can of chicken, tuna or salmon to them at lunch time. The snacks are apples w/almond butter or a banana and EAS Lite Protein shake etc. Dinner is what I struggle with...cuz the rest of my family doesn't follow a good diet...especially DH....which has become more annoying lately. He's passing on his bad habits to Jerod....who is now 6 foot tall and 220#'s...and he's only 14-yikes. The girls go back on the 14th, which is their 3rd birthday.

Lori-How nice that you can work on your PT certification while working your other job. I can barely check-in here from work. Speaking of work, I go back on Monday and am not looking forward to it. I have to say it has been wonderful being home for the last 4 weeks. Question for you...what do you do with Rylan while you w/o? The girls don't have a very long attention span so I'm not sure I could keep them busy long enough for me to get an effective w/o.

Laura-how's the bod feeling today? Were you able to get through all the plyo's last night? Glad things are much better with SIL. How is she doing?

LauraR-what are you up to today? How's your running coming along?

Yesterday Rallie was the whiner....and today Rylee is proving to be quite trying. Thankfully it seems that only one of them at a time is difficult. LOL

Time for the girls and I to hit the showers.
 
Jacque:: No, I don't have a multi-disc player in my w/o room. I've considered asking for one but we have one in the living room and I tried to figure out how to program it with no luck :rolleyes: so I decided against the idea for my work out room. More trouble then it's worth for me. I just manually switch out the discs. Once I get some downloads though I won't have to worry about this as much! ;) I don't remember everything that's on every disc but when I find something I really like I will do it often and purposely commit it to memory. I also keep a w/o log where I keep the details so I can refer back to it if I need to.

Diana:: I don't know that I read about the FB challenge. I'll have to go look for it. Good luck with that! I hope you win! :) Sorry about the cranky DGD. We had a couple sets of twin girls that would come into the gym when I worked there. OMG we used to dread it! :p

quick post .. we are busy here .. as usual for a FRIDAY .. TGIF BTW :D:D:D - I made it thru class .. think it helped me get over and work thru the soreness - I am still tight in the shoulders but the rest of me feels better!! :D I did do 4 step plyo/plank/LB & UB weights/core torture!! it was a goodie!!!

Wendy - snow again .. ya'll cant catch a break - there is actually snow - freezing rain warning for US :confused: SUN and MON :confused: Old Man Winter is doing a number on us huh?? Today is GORGEOUS - about mid 50s and sun :cool:

Di - I thought you were doing the E-book diet ?? the one you downloaded?? eat for your shape? or am I mixed up??

Jacque - booo on sharks loosing! I am getting psyched about OUR HUGE game coming up .. it sucks that it is on a MONDAY though ..too bad it couldnt have been this SAT!!!! but I will be watching and cheering and yelling at the TV - we gonna PLUCK SOME DUCKS - WAAARRRR EAGLE BABY!!!

Lori - good luck w/the taking down of the tree!! That should count as mini-workout in itself!!!

OK .. gott jet - I did a 3 mile power walk at lunch - felt great - wind was howling though .. hair is a MESS now!! Tonight is date night .. woot woot!!! ;) TMRW I am planning on STS TB that I have been saying I was doing for a week now - and 2nd 1/2 of Jillian's 6 week/6 pack!! Ya'll have a great weekend .. will try to BBL ...;) :D

Laura:: Very jealous of your work out tmrw! Love both work outs you have on tap! I could probably get in some Jillian but STS TB is out of the question. ENJOY date night you lucky girl! My DH goes bowling every friday night right now so no dates for me unless you count hanging out with my 5 year old son as a DATE! :rolleyes: LOL
 
Hi ladies,

The girls are napping!:D I bundled them up and took them outside to play with bubbles and they had a great time. Afterwards, we came inside and I fed them lunch. They became whiners and bratty so I put them down for a nap. My boys did not whine at all....This incessant whining is totally getting on my nerves. Grandma needs a timeout of peace and quiet.

Laura-DS1 was telling DH all about Auburn last night. You have support from us Coloradoans too!!! I just ordered the Paleo Diet book from Amazon. The diet I was telling Lori about was from the BFFM book. Since she's working on creating an "Amazing" body it might be helpful for her. I'm a chocoholic and overeater, trying to cut down/out on processed foods. Are chocolate chips processed....hope not...no way I'm cutting those out.;)

Wendy-I hear yah on the multi disc player. :D I can only work my w/o DVD player. We have 4 in the house but I only know how to use one of them. I just switch out the discs as needed. Funny though, I have a multidisc cd player and can work it just fine! Been meaning to ask, are you going to post a pic with your new "straight" 'do? Does it take any longer in the morning?

We have had a GREAT year .. but plagued w/rumors and some nasty football politics for sure .. but my TIGERS sure deserve the National Championship - the ducks are smaller .. BUT QUICK .. fast and accurate .. gonna be a fight for sure .. hoping we hit 'em hard and fast and dont let them have a chance to run the ball!!! Show them what SEC is all about!! :eek: :D:D:D:D Waaaaaarrrrr Eagle Baby!!!!!:eek:
