Good Morning!:)

Where is Miss Wendy?? She isn't even fighting to start the threads lately:eek: Where are you? Are you sick? :p:p

I can't believe I didn't get back here yesterday. My day got super busy around lunch time. We finally got prices we were looking for so there was about 50 invoices that needed to be written up and then they have to be entered into the computer....I never did get that far. My head was spinning by the time I left work b/c the phone was ringing non stop, either with actual people or the phone company was trying to fix something with our phones and phones ringing are enough to make my head spin.

My workout yesterday morning was 14k outside. It was a really nice morning. The temp was perfect. I am thinking about going again shortly before DH goes to work b/c OF COURSE I have a few things to do today. My sister wants me to go shopping with her, I have to pick my niece up, I am suppose to be meeting friends for coffee, then another friend and then we are going out tonight to celebrate my inlaws 40th wedding anniversary.

I just checked and the prices to cuba all inclusives are going down again!!:D There is only one week left to go and thats the 28th week. We shall see what happens.

I am going to check out yesterdays thread then I will return!

WOW! It was really quiet here yesterday! Really, really quiet! Hope everyone is o.k....just busy!

Wendy** I hope everything is ok? How come you aren't getting your workouts in? To much on the go??

Laura** Happy to hear your mom had a good time! When my aunts get together it is super loud b/c they all try to out take, over power the other one....everyone is talking and no one is listening..its so funny! Hope your day is better today!

I will bbl to report my workout. I think I am going to head out for a run now.

Good Morning Ladies,

I've just been busy and didn't have a chance to check in. Not sure if I mentioned the fiasco with the coffee maker not working the other day. Needless to say, it was quickly replaced and our new one is working great.

This morning is Bi's, Tri's and Shoulders. If possible, I would like to go for a short run at lunch, around 3 miles or so. The only running I've been doing has been on the track and that's not really for any distance.

Lori-Nice job on your long run! You do have a busy day planned but it sounds like fun.

Day #4 of no workouts here! :( Just a bad streak of luck w/no sleep and then getting sick. BOOH. I am at the point where I am just gonna throw caution to the wind and work out this weekend anyway. I don't have a fever or anything. Pretty much just a sore throat and a few head cold symptoms but I've been afraid of getting worse if I push it and exercise. I think this new schedule of getting up at 4:15 is not working for me. I have been sick 3x since I started this job less then 3 months ago! That's not me. I am backing it down to exercising 5 days a week starting with my Insanity rotation and see if the extra morning to sleep later during the week helps.

Hey girlies!

TGIF .. it is a gorgeous day after a very stormy rainy day ystdy .. our town is having it's annual Pilgrimige celebration this weekend .. our town is packed .. the traffic is HORRIBLE .. but the flowers are gorgeous .. they have tours of the Antebellum homes here .. and the gardens etc .. huge event here .. but sure makes the locals commuting next to impossible .. that ADDING on the beach traffic .. UGH :confused:

I am SORE from BBL ysty .. my shoulders and my back .. not real bad .. but the good kind .. in ODD places .. one thing about BBL he takes the simplest exercises and combines them in ways that torques the body in unusual way .. resulting in muscles being used that usually arent!! I am sooo enjoying BBL!! thanks Wendy! :D

Lori .. wow .. sounds like you have a full schedule ... girl you better get busy!! it was quiet in here .. wonder where miss Jacque has been??

Wendy .. hoping you get better .. but you are right dont push it . you dont want to get worse .. and the early w/o and limited sleep could be doing a number on your immune system ....:confused: ???

Di ... glad you have coffee pot again .. I dont drink coffee but my friends who do cant function w/o it .. LOL

OK .. sooo today is heavy weights legs in gym .. then tmrw will be my PLYO class fundraiser :eek: .. hope we have a decent turnout .. NO SLEEPING IN TMRW :( .. then it is POOLSIDE for drinks snacks and a friend's b-day celebration!! :eek: :D have a great one!:D
 
Lori:: Sorry I haven't been fighting w/you to start the thread. Haven't been posting in it much at all. Just haven't been as motivated lately. Nothing against you and the other girls. You know I luvs y'all. Just feeling blah lately I guess. Good luck booking your trip to Cuba. Us Americans are not allowed to go there! lol


Diana:: DH is ordering me STS for my B'day as you know. I've been checking Cathe's tracking like mad (by phone #) to see if he ordered it yet but no luck so I was getting nervous. Well just went to pay my credit card bill today and saw the he did indeed order it on March 31st. YAY! :D Jen and I are starting Insanity together so we may push back our STS start date. Not sure yet. Glad you got the new coffee pot right away. A girl after my own heart! lol

Laura:: You really are in love with Leandro, huh? I'm glad I was able to set you 2 up! ;) I plan to use some of his work outs while doing the Insanity rotation I am trying desperately to start. ITA about my immune system. I think I am going to try a 2 day on/1 day off schedule for a while. That's 5 w/o's a week. Hopefully it will help. Fingers crossed!
 
Happy Friday Ladies !

Been busy at work and with DH home ALL THE TIME it has been strange and scary at the same time. We are getting along well but it is hard for me to be working hard and extra hours and come home to him playing around and not really doing anything to get some $ coming in. I want to be the one who is off - at least I get things accomplished in between play time.

That being said - no workouts until last night - I did 1/2 the C&B from Meso wk 1 and due to a late start I was getting tired. I am sleeping 4 - 5 hours a night (not intentionally) and am tired along with not wanting to eat. Guess you could call it stress related ? ? ? It isn't conscious, just not a fun time but it will pass . . .

Lori - Need to catch up on the posts too but sounds like you have been busy and are still planning on your vaca whether DH is in on the decision or not? :p Sounds like your Mari training is coming along nicely.

Wendy - well I am right there with you in the w/o dept. but not due to sickness. Hope you get it all figured out for the best. I do believe that our bodies have that natural circadian rythym and we must adhere to stay in tip top shape ! Woo Hoo on getting STS soon ! I am not being very dedicated this Meso . . . strength is fun but I am not into it this time around. We'll see how I do.

Diana - good to hear the foffee fiasco is fixed ! :D I'm hoping to catch up a bit on Meso 3 this weekend but will probably still be behind you. Think I'll do Plyo Legs rather than squat rack. I liked the way my legs "hardened up" just from the RT weekend. It was a great variety of classes that worked well for me. I'm still down a couple lbs from that weekend - just need to tighten up a few areas.

Laura - sounds like things are going well for you lately. ITA about the compound moves in BBL. Very similar to Biggest Loser DVD's too. Compound works well for me also - love the unusual DOMs they create. Good luck with the fundraiser and have a great weekend by the pool. Y'all are having such great weather - wish I could skip on over as we are in for more rain. Except I saw the pollen filled cars in Atlanta on TV this AM. I'm having a hard enough time here in the West which is supposed to be less "invaded".

Probably BBL - by the way - I'm off today cuz needed to take a vaca day so I don't lose on accruals. Then I'll pay for it on Mon cuz I'm behind ! :confused: Oh well ! ;)
 
Hi ladies,

Well I did Shoulder's, Bi's and Tri's this morning. I'm able to go heavier again...yay... This morning I did bicep curls with a 54# bb. Thank goodness it's only for 7 reps, but there are 4 sets and I was struggling at the end.

Wendy-Hope you feel better soon. Sorry you've been sick. When are you and Jen starting Insanity? I want to do another round of that too. I have 2 more weeks of STS, but I'll probably finish it up in a week and a half. I don't take the rest days when they fall in the rotaion, just when I need to. The coffee fiasco.. We finally ended up bringing a percolator pot in from our camping equipment...and it tasted like crap too. DH and I both need our coffee in the morning.

Jacque-Yah know, I wasn't really looking forward to meso 3 but have to say I'm enjoying the strength gains. I've been doing plyo legs also. Although I don't think heavy lifting makes my legs any bigger, it's nice to be doing plyo and running stairs instead...a nice change for me. Enjoy your day off...time to catch up on your missed w/o's!;) The upper body w/o in Meso 3 are all long, around 65 minutes. Thankfully the plyo legs are around 50 mins. I want to do a long cardio w/o this weekend though.

Laura-my knees are so sore today...we did stair running outside on the pool deck...long set of cement stairs! It was tough tough tough! You guys having me looking at BBL again..just stop now already...bunch of enablers you are. Hope your fundraiser is successful tomorrow. Have fun at the party too!

UGH ... TRAFFIC is the worst I have seen in it in AGES :mad: :mad: :mad: GA beach traffic and out of staters in for the festival :mad: :mad: :mad: UGH ... you cant get anywhere ... ate up my whole lunch hour in traffic ... I did manage the gym ... got heavy legs done .. and popped in the tanning bed for a few minutes and then got BACK into traffic was 5 min late from lunch .. had to apologize and tell them I HAD TO EAT (I will pass out on ya if I dont eat) ... so was 15 minutes late :confused: :mad: UGH .. I am going to have to take alternative long route home .. I DREAD tomorrow .. it will probably be WORSE!!!!!!!!:mad:

Jacque .. good to see you are OK ... yes our POLLEN is off the charts here .. and everyone is miserable .. we have been in the "very high" level for a while .. Zyrtec is helping but ears ringing, coughing, sneezing wattery eyes .. the works is still going on .. :( ... so why is DH home??? I missed that ??? can see where it would be a HUGE adjustment!!

Wendy ... so our energy bunny is in a FUNK .. I am sorry!! Hoping you can pull yourself out of it .. I am usually the one stuck in the FUNK .. sorry baby!!! sending positive UNfunk vibes!!

Diana:: Jen already started Insanity on Tues or Wed. I forget exactly. I was supposed to start with her but it has not worked out that way so I will be several days to a week behind her. No big deal. With my exercise ADD such as it is, i am sure I will be more then happy to change up when she is done and it's time to move on! :p
 
Well the 2nd half of C&B is finished. Felt better this AM but still fighting off the sinus pressure. Just took some allergy pills - hope it helps but I am gonna chance it and go work on my garden. Want to get it planted in hopes we will have good weather and I can have my own homegrown veggies before Aug or Sept this year ? ? ? :confused:

Diana - Nice job on the heavier weights ! 54# for bicep curls - doubt I could ever go that heavy. Think I hit 45 last time and that was a struggle. I don't like the length of these workouts - think I remember the dread factor last time. If I can get myself going consistently again I may split the UB into two workouts (1/2 each time) and then do the leg workout at once. I love LB workouts and don't mind going and going and going with them. ;) I'm askeered to do Insanity cuz that is when my back started bothering me last time. I think the variety in SC works better for me. Not sure what I'll do next.

Laura - sorry about the traffic. We have the same problem when our Garlic Festival hits (except for the beach traffic). Have to take different routes since the streets are changed to either one way or blocked off. You work harder than others so too bad about the long lunch. It gives you peace of mind to workout so you can make it through the rest of the day - tell them it's mental health ! ;) DH has not been working - think he worked 3 hrs last week and only 2 days this week. $ is gonna be tight if he doesn't do something quick. I will look for a 2nd job cuz I don't want to touch our savings. We'll see how it goes.

Wendy - you guys doing the 2 months or just a month of Insanity? Adding in weights too?

Laura:: TY for the UN-funk vibes. I need that. You're a doll. Made me smile when I read it too. :)

Jacque:: I am adding upper and lower body (Shaun's U/B, BBL for lower) and Jen is adding upper only. I assume we are doing 2 months but doing 1 month is fine too. I guess it depends on if we want to tackle the longer work outs or not! :eek:
 
Well as luck would have it I have ended up at home alone (no DH or DS) on a friday with no plans, feeling a bit on the yucky side, getting ready to change my clothes, have a glass or 2 of wine and clean. Perhaps after that I'll rent a movie on demand and pass out on the couch for the night. Yay me. :p
 
I was a bit depressed about what my evening was going to be like tonight but it turned out to be pretty cool actually. I was alone in a nice quiet house. The only noise was from me. The only mess was from me. The only mouth to feed was my own. The only one to control the remote was moi. The only one who wanted to use the computer was moi. I simultaneously drank a glass of wine and cleaned whilst texting with a friend and the moved my buns on to the couch under a blankie with my head on a pillow and watched a movie that I picked out all by myself with no one else's input! (had another glass of wine as well!) So I spent a lot of time with myself tonight and have decided that I am not such bad company after all! ;)

Now it's time to hit the hay and maybe even sleep in a bit tmrw morning!
