Good Morning!

How is everyone? I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. We didn't get home from the relay until 6:30 and I didn't get up until 12:30. The night went pretty well. In order to stay awake, we had to walk around. I was soooo tired when I got home! There were 32 teams and $71,400 raised!

Even though I was lacking in energy yesterday I managed to get out for a run with DS. He didn't want to go b/c I had to take him out of the backyard, where he was playing with kids. My SIL doesn't have a fence around her yard and my BIL was mowing the grass. He didn't offer to watch him until I had him in the stroller but that was o.k. I kind of wanted to take him and test out how tough it was to push him again. I did 11k.

On Fri I tried one of the new workouts I bought at walmart. It was Jari Loves, ripped 1000. It was a pretty good workout, I have to say. I am probably more likely to use it in a circuit with the TM though. The girls in the dvd are in awesome shape. But there is one girl in the back, who appears to be in great shape (and she is) plus she has had 7 kids:eek: but when the camera goes to her when she is doing double arm rows....all I can see is bone and skin. She is sooo thin! There was no muscle in her back at all. It was pretty gross actually. As for the rest of them, they were in wicked shape. Cut to peices. Very inspiring!

Wendy** Oh yes....budgeting!!! I am not sure how we will make out either. Neither one of us is good at it, but it worth a try. We have nothing to lose:) On another note one of my coworkers informed me that we wouldn't be getting a raise until the end of the year now:mad: Boy oh boy...we have some pissed off people. So I will be bringing that up to my managed tomorrow and also adding in that I won't be waiting that long. I will probably start looking for another job.

Diana** I don't think it as ever gotten that hot here! We would need a A/C unit as well. Good job with your workout yesterday. I told my running partner about Cathe downloads so now that she knows, I am hoping to get my GS series back! Those are my fav workouts and I loaned them to her while I was doing STS. Kind of want them back now though.

Jacque** Want to hear some carpet woes? I ws vacumming on Fri and a lose peice of carpet got sucked up and it started to tear my carpet apart!:( I think I can stick back in with crazy glue though. Im going to have to...Im not buying new carpet!!

So I bought 3 cathe downloads and I am having big trouble downloading them. I get about 30 mins in and then it fails. I am hooked up to the internet b/c I didn't think wireless would be a good choice when downloading...and it still isn't working. I was hoping to do CTX UB today. The 3 workouts I bought, I have on VHS but never get to use them.Any tips???

Good Morning Ladies.

Went to see Marmaduke yesterday afternoon. I really enjoyed it. Even teared up a bit towards the end but then I came home and was watching some movie on cable and cried like a baby! BAWLING! It was bad. :rolleyes:

Today's work out will be upper body 1RM's, cardio and abs. I think today's cardio of choice will be kickboxing. Looking forward to it! So I think I've changed my mind a bit...I think I will do 1RM's for meso 1 legs. It's endurance so I'm gonna go for it. I will switch back to Tonique/BBL for mesos 2 and 3. I may still use them 1 or 2x per week during meso 1 as well. IIRC, there is no floorwork in STS so that's a great way to incorporate them into the rotation! .....Man, I can justify ANYTHING! :p:D

Lori:: Sorry about the raise. It won't hurt to look for another job but I would keep it hush hush for now. If you find one and get an offer and would be willing to take it, THEN go to your boss and say hey look, I want to stay here but I need a raise and think I deserve one. I have a job offer elsewhere though and will have to take it if you can't give me a raise. GOOD LUCK! :) If you tell them you are looking for a job before you have an offer in place, you could unfortunately find yourself on the unemployment line. Sad but true. :( So be careful please!!!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

I was rudely awoken by the phone at 5:50am, my work calling due to an issue. Unfortunately I had to escalate to the next level. We had a problem Friday night and I was on the phone with several coworkers for 2 hours to get it resolved....again this morning.

I was planning on doing legs and a short run today. The rotation calls for legs tomorrow but my day is packed and I know I won't be able to make it to the rec ctr. Early meeting, leave to take DS to a Dentist appt., back to work for another meeting etc. I'll hit the rec ctr this morning for leg wts and then do a 3 mile run...before it gets too hot...98 today-yikes.

Lori-wow, your all night walk was quite lucrative! Sorry about not getting a raise. At least you're not getting a paycut...that's what happening at my house...2.5% pay cut. My son downloaded the STS cardio for me and we didn't have any problems, and we did them on the wireless pc. We did have to do them one at a time. If you are trying to do all 3 of them just make sure you are doing them individually.

Wendy-Glad you decided to give meso 1 legs a try. They are endurance and it's nice to change things up. BTW, you are such and enabler!

Good morning ladies !

I am sore this morning in the upper back and shoulders - woo hoo ! Legs are feeling better and today should be cardio. Not sure what it will be yet.

Lori - what a great job you all did for the fundraiser. I used to do them with a group of people when my kids were younger and it was a blast. We actually went almost 2 days but I think they may be shorter like yours now. All it all it is a great way to get the message across and raise $. Good to hear you liked your new w/o purchase ! There is a forum for download problems - not sure if you checked there but I did find this one:

Wendy - ever since I had kids I have been more vulnerable to tears. Seems funny but I think many ladies go through that. Glad you're gonna give the STS legs a chance. I think you should check out the Plyo legs too - you can use lower weights and get a great workout. LOL about justifying anything !

Diana - bummer about the "wake-up call" ! Hopefully it doesn't happen too often. DH gets the call when the alarm at work goes off and many times it is the middle of the night - drag for sure. I thought we were going to get hot this weekend but now seems just high 80's - hope you can stay cool today !

Finished my work out and my lunch a few minutes ago!!!

Work out:

7 U/B 1 RM's which finished up the 5-stars.
MMA:K/B with weighted gloves (warm up through 2nd set of drills, skipped 3rd combo, did 3rd set of drills-stopped there)
100 assorted crunches for upper abs.
60 inner thigh lifts and circles for inner thighs per leg.

Lunch:

2 graham crackers sheets w/low fat mozzerella cheese
4 slices Boarshead deli turkey
2 large strawberries

Time for a shower and then something fun!

Hello again. Spent an hour in the sun while Joey played in the pool and had a water gun fight with DH. I got some nice color and relaxed a bit while being entertained by the boys! :D I'm showered now and had a snack. Gotta get Joey cleaned up soon. We are heading out around 4 or so. My mom and her SO invited us out to dinner to an Italian restaraunt tonight. Good thing I have been pretty well behaved on the food front the past couple days! I am excited. I LURVE ME SOME ITALIAN FOOD! :)

So I realized that I worked out 7 days in a row. Today being the 7th! OOPS! Didn't mean to do that but honestly didn't mind either!;) Gotta gotta gotta take a rest day tmrw though. I don't want to push too far and end up getting sick. DH just "yelled" at me for it. :eek: LOL

Jacque:: I will see what Meso 1 legs does and if I am happy with the results then I might take a chance on Meso 2 and then Meso 3. I'll have to see. I could also alternate between doing my Tonique/BBL and STS Legs somehow. You know how creative I can be! Mish mosh queen here, remember? ;) Glad you are feeling some pleasing DOMS. So what cardio did you choose?

Diana:: Wow you have a busy day tmrw! Good thinkin' to adjust your rotation to make it work around your schedule. I enable so well because I can justify things so easily! :p:D Sorry about the early morning phone call. My mom (before she retired) would get that a lot and it used to irritate the heck out of her b/c half of the time she thought the calls were unecessary or atleast could have waited until the sun was up! :eek:
 
Popping in to report that I have been gardening (rototilling, digging, planting and watering) since about 11 AM and am not done yet. Me thinks that will count for enough of a calorie burn by the time I get finished for the day.

That will leave me time to take a nice long shower, clean my ugly hair which I haven't done anything with (shoulda seen it after the spa last night - spa has too much water in it so my hair was drenched nearly all the way ! :p). And the Stanley cup game is on in just over an hour.

Wendy - I have been slathering the sunscreen on all day and am getting a nice UB coloring. The legs don't get it quite as much since I am standing or bending down but that's OK. Sounds like you had a nice w/o and relaxing time and now off to Italian ! Lucky girl !

Off to finish the backyard stuff and then I'm done for the day !
