Damage Control....Saturday Finally!!!

Good Morning.

Well I start 1RM's today! I'm excited! I hope I can figure out how to do it though! :eek: I am also planning on doing something else. Being that it's saturday and I have time, I may do a little bit of everything! The DOMS in my inner thighs that I started getting y'day afternoon from the other night's work out is a little worse (or better depending on your outlook!;)) today so I am feeling the need to layer on the pain now! heheheh Guess my work out will be a surprise. Let's see what I end up doing! :D

So last night we took a ride to the outlets and I purchased a new pair of Lucky jeans to replace my favorite pair which I absolutely loved! I have a few other pairs but they never matched up! The ones I adored are totally beat up and have shrunk (from over-drying! I've learned my lesson!) so they don't fit all that well anymore. I was panicked thinking I "out-fatted" them somehow even though I didn't see how that was possible. Well after trying on new ones last night and purchasing a pair that is a size SMALLER I realized that it wasn't me at all but the dumb dryer! I could kick myself! I am realizing that I've pretty much done that to all of my jeans! GRRRR. I am going to be more careful from now on. I think I'll do jeans only loads now and dry them on a shorter cycle and let them air dry the rest of the way.

Just did 1RM testing for 6 exercises. I think I used too light of a weight for a few of them but I am not going to worry about it right now. When I have gone through all of the exercises I want to test for then I will go back and re-test the ones I went too light with. I am going to add in some cardio and abs and maybe in legs if I am the energy. We shall see! ;)

ETA: Ok I'm done! I continued on with the cardio only premix from Circuit Blast (first time doing that one and it's short but tough!) and then Tonique Mat Back Lying exercises through the bicycles then 100 inner thigh leg lifts per side and 80 lower ab hip lifts (half bent leg, half straight leg). I'm beat. Great work out!:D

Morning Ladies,

Not much on the agenda today. It's a cardio day so I'll come up with something.

Wendy-nice job getting started on the 1RM's. I love my lucky jeans and costco doesn't carry them anymore.:mad: I've looked at ordering them online but they are too expensive, considering I only pd $39 for them. I usually hang my jeans up to dry and bypass the dryer all together. I prefer darker jeans and they just fade too much in the dryer.

I just posted the rest of my w/o in my original post above, Diana. I think we were posting at the same time b/c when I checked initially your post wasn't here yet. Oh well! LOL
As for drying jeans. I HAVE to. I hate the way completely air dried jeans feel. Hard and "crunchy" IMO. I am told even a partial cycle in the dryer w/air drying after will alleviate that so that's what I will try. :)
 
Good morning ladies !

Well last night after work I attempted to work out but my legs were JELLY ! :mad: I did 15 min of 4DS HIS/LIS cardio premix and just couldn't do it. So put me ol' clothes back on and finished up my grocery shopping. This AM I am dressed in w/o clothes and will attempt CCPP since it is that weekend. It will also be a tribute to Lori and her Mary tomorrow ! :p In my head I'll just multiply by 5 or so and have done the same # of miles - Yea, Right ! I'm not sure if I could even do a half mary.

Wendy - it is always nice to know you have worked your muscles and not wasted your w/o time. After a bit of doing the 1RM's I went back and adjusted some that were basically the same but funny how I ended up with such a different #. :confused: Lucky jeans is all I wear these days too - Diana and I both got them at Costco. Now I see that we have an outlet but since I have 3 or 4 pair I don't need any. Guess I should dally on over and see what the prices are. I always dry mine - and DH puts the dryer on High Cotton so I'm sure mine have shrunk. They are always just loose enough after they have been on for an hour or so. Love 'em !

Diana - In reponse to your ? about Insanity - I am askeered to attempt it again because that is when my UB got all messed up. I'm thinking the exercises of getting up and down, which doesn't work quite as well for my old bod these days, makes me do things in bad alignment? Perhaps I'll try it somewhere in place of a cardio in the rotation this week and let you know. Cathe's HiiT's seem to put less stress on me - though the burpee types of exercises I have to do much slower as I just don't bend that well. :eek:

So sounds like all my kids will be around at some time or another tomorrow. DD's coming to a local mushroom festival in the town about 15 min from here. We may meet her there . . . then may go back to San Jose to buy her a drink now that she'll be "legal" drinking age. :p DS1 and family may come down to get their car fixed by the dad of his friend and DS2 is going on a motorcycle ride south of here so said he'll stop by on the way back. We'll see how that all pans out.

Other than that, I need to replant some pots and remove some weeds in the front - will seed a large area this year and not buy plants. Need to dust :eek: and then go from there. We do have sun so I'm starting out in a good mood - if I make it through my CCPP I'm sure I'll do fine today ! ;)

Can't wait to "track" Lori tomorrow - already put her on the "Watch List" - it does look like you can see at least a few markers. Man there are loads of people up there this weekend. Today is the shorter races and tomorrow the half and full.

CCPP DONE ! ! ! :eek: :p

Felt like stopping a few times but didn't and finished the whole enchilada. 67 1/2 min and 6 miles. Whew I feel good, just like I should now . . . I feel good, just like I should now . . . so good, so good, I got a "workout" in !

My legs are dead. :eek:

Off to accomplish something else now - BBL.
 
Hi Ladies.

Taking my after dinner coffee break and then heading out the door to take DS to the boardwalk down the street from us. Already been to the park, to Target and outside catching rays while Joey played in his pool. Boardwalk is the last stop on this crazy train today! :eek::D Later on, once the boy is in bed me and DH (the big boy!LOL) will probably play Guitar Hero and have some drinks. Used to play GH all the time! It's been a while so it's overdue so if your ears start to hurt it's just us! LOL
