This morning I did CC Choose Living PP (believe thats the name) :) so much to do today I called off yesterday. Nice work everyone.

Hello Ladies ..

HAD A WONDERFUL long weekend :D:D:D :cool: Fri night date night - to casino and out to eat - then SAT watched AUBURN WIN >> WOOOHOOO!!!! :D:D:D SAT night had a party - SUN was fun w/DH and the babies - had a large head but made myself do Combat power hiit - yikes! not one to do w/a hangover - then MON - I did AB and took Brutus for a run .. and did MORE housework .. but enjoyed the outdoors and time w/my babies and DH!!:D DOMS: MY BUTTOCKS eeeeouch!!! and shoulders .. i have decided every workout i have done in last week contains a multitude of squat thrust w/over head pressse :mad::mad::mad:

Today is forced rest day - have a GGT then have to go to funeral home!

Di - so the cleanse is going well??? how is your energy level???? you sure are putting in some heavy duty workouts .. yikes!!

Wendy - yet another awesome BR workout that I have yet to do .. I HAVE GOT to fit in some BR workouts .. dang it !!!!

TG: that is my favorite CC ... love that one!!

Hi Ladies,

My legs need a bit of extra work so I'm doing CLB this morning. Only about another week left of the BR Challenge which I've been really enjoying. I told my DH "that skinny bi$%^ is trying to kill me". This week has been the toughest so far. I think wk 1 is 10/30, wk2 is 10/40 and this week is 10/50.

The cleanse is still going well, but I was a bit hungry yesterday and had a protein shake (muscle milk light-140 calories) in the afternoon. They do say you need to do what works for you. The preference would be to eat another snack or meal from the week 1 menu. Oh, and I also had a banana which we don't have until week 2. All in all I'm still doing pretty good.

We are replacing our garage doors....not a fun expense IMHO. I want to replace the flooring in our house, something you would see and enjoy everyday. The 1 car side is in dire straits and the 2 car side is getting there.

Laura-glad you had a wonderful weekend! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the nice weather with Brutus. I hear you on the overload of burpee oh press....been doing a lot of "push up/burpee/clean & press" oh and also clean & press/squat press too. Why do you have to go to the funeral home?

TG-CC w/o's are great. I don't have a treadmill, but would use them on my elliptical and they always kicked my butt! It sounds to me like you are back in the swing of things...keep up the good work!:)

Wendy-I pm'd you on fb.:) It's good to mix things up. Thanks for info on NASM. The class is fairly expensive and it doesn't seem that you start off making enough $$ to "make a living". I've been using BR as my cardio in between my STS days. It's usually a cardio segment followed by a compound weight segment for the allotted time. My HR monitor indicates I'm burning over 400 cals per w/o.:D I'll get that today too with CLB.

My weigh-in is today and should be good!

Tis morn, I did Legs & Glutes that's it :) My plan was to do the LG Extreme but...........no..........someone hit the snooze button to many times.:eek:Anywho, after looking at all the premixes Cathe's offer on LG time to try something else. Like KB + LG; who knows so many workouts:)

Diane: DANG…….2 triathlons okay you are now officially my hero. Girl, BIG ups to you. You are one tough cookie. I can’t wait to get home tonight going to check out RockTV thank you for sharing.:)

Hey Ladies. :)

Today's work out was Max Capacity Trainer Week 3 Day 9 which called for 33 Squat Curl Press/51 Reverse Lunge/78 Drop Squat/210 second Straight Arm Plank. I divided the work out into 3 rounds.

I followed it up with Gorilla Trainer L2 work out #5 which was 3 clockwork jumps, 8 leg lifts and 3 pull ups (I did 5 instead) x 10 rounds.

Not including warm up and cool down it all took me about 35 mins to complete.

Diane:: That's the tough part about becoming a personal trainer.....You can't really walk in to a PT job on the first day and have a full time job unless A) You are doing other things when not training like working the desk at a gym which will likely pay a lot less or B) You get ridiculously lucky and get to replace a busy trainer who is leaving the gym as well as their clientele behind. Glad you are doing so well on the cleanse. I hope you get the desired result from it! :)

Laura:: Sounds like you had tons of fun this weekend!!!! Did you win?? :) I am going to the casino from Black Friday to Sunday. Can't wait! :D We are having dinner at my MIL's on T-Day and leaving Joey there for the weekend so a part of me wants to head right down to AC from their house but IDT DH will go for it. :(

Hello Ladies!

GGT was LOADS of fun .. LOTS of laughs .. always is .. DH joined us at the end .. and picked up the tab for everyone .. now he is a "DA MAN" for all my girlfriends :confused: no way I can fuss to them about him ever again :confused:!!!! he got hugs and kissses all around and walked out like a stud muffin!! :p we left there and went to the funeral home -

The woman that died was my DH cousin - and my DB BFF mother - all of DH family was there from the side we never see .. his fathers side .. it was like a mini re-union .. and they all remembered me .. I was shocked!! as sad as it was .. it was nice seeing all of them! the funeral was today ... her son is the only child .. no parents anymore and he was tore up .. bless his big ole heart!!

Di - yup it was family and friend funeral ... she was such a nice lady too .. very well loved in the community .. only 59 .. died of a heart attack ... Sad! Sounds like the cleanse is going well .. I just dont see how liquid anything can satisfy you ... and give you energy!! I would be STARVING!!!

TG: hey .. this girl takes more rest days than she should .. LOL!! and my rest days come along w/some CABS :eek: :eek: :p:p:p

Wendy - NOPE I didnt win this time .. but I really didnt lose much .. i played forever on the same money .. soooooo that is kinda winning to me!! LOL .. hard to believe T-day is right around the corner .. yikes .. I gotta start figuring out our schedule .. everyone works different shifts .. ugh ..

OK .. soooooo today it is FREEZING .. to be in the 20's tonight .. I am gonna do Lean Legs after work .. I will be sprinting from the building to my car .. LOLOLOL .. it is gonna be COOOOLD!!!! ok have a great one!
 
Hi Ladies,

I don't normally post at night, but I am down a total of 19.2lbs and am super stoked about it!!!!! The cleanse has kickstarted my weightloss again. I was just going up and down the same 2lbs for about the past month.

TG-Yes, I started STS last week. As long as it doesn't negatively impact my weight loss I plan on completing it. If my weight starts going up then I'll have to reconsider. Being a pear shaped gal, I like to do extra leg work. I always say if my legs/butt have to be big...at least they don't have to jiggle. So for my STS rotation I'll do non sts legs/STS UB/STS Legs/STS UB and throw cardio/BR in between the weight work.

Laura-only 59, so young. So sorry for your loss. It's sad that often times it takes a death in the family to bring everyone together. I'm not doing a liquid cleanse, it's real whole foods. To be honest, most of the recipes have been really good. It is a lot of work planning, prepping and preparing most of the meals in advance so I can have the ready to grab and go for work. For example I've had Beet & Fennel Soup, Mango Salad, Roasted Cauliflower Steaks with Cilantro Pesto (my favorite so far), Cucumber, Celery and Avocado soup, Spicy Carrot & Ginger Soup, Baked Sweet Potato with Kale Slaw. The breakfasts are green smoothies with fruits & veggies, snacks are home prepared Kale Chips, Coconut Trail mix, Guacamole Veggies, apple, carrots. I start week 2 on Friday and we get to add in grains, bananas and eggs. Of course, I'm enjoying a glass of wine which is not on the cleanse. :p Since my weigh-ins are on Wednesday, I usually have a heavier meal or CAB that evening as I have all week to work it off!

Wendy-I love your workouts...so inspiring. It has honestly taken me years to realize I do not need a full hour of steady state cardio all the time! I think the NASM class is around $9,000 through Lifetime Fitness. Not sure when I would fit in school with my full time job. They are having an informational class next week so I may attend that and it's close to my house. It looks like classes are one night per week from 5:30-8:00pm.

Tomorrow is either STS UB or the next day of the BR challenge.

Morning Ladies ...

BBRRRRRRRR - had a hard frost last night .. was 24 degrees this morning .. bbbrrrrrrrrr!!!!! :confused: :confused: the high today is to warm to 60 . . then only in the upper 30's tonight and warming up the next couple of days .. whew!

I had to go to another office and work ystdy afternoon - my workout plans got all screwed up .. but LISTEN UP WENDY .. I did ZWOW 31 .. :eek::eek::eek: it was 3 rounds (for time) of: 10 pushups // 20 competition burpees (uugggh) // 30 wide large jump squats // 40 mountain climbers // and 50 full body sit ups to straight back lift overhead (eeeouch) ... OK - the burpees whooped my butt!!! that was only 60 competition burpees .. I wouldnt make the 100 in the other workout .. I was breathing so hard as if I was running for my life!!! :confused: big difference between competition burpees and regular burpees!!! AWESOME workout tho! DOMS: CORE >> EEEOUCH!

Di - CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS >> WOOOHOOOOOOO!!! re: the cleanse .. OH .. I was thinking you were like juicing everything .. and it was all liquid .. ok .. that would be more doable .. but still NO MEAT WOULD KILL ME!!! So I am taking it the energy is still up there!!! re: shorter workouts - ME TOO ... I like mixing it up .. shorter and longer workouts .. but sometimes those short workouts are MUCH harder than the longer ones .. but I also think you need the longer ones in just to keep up endurance .. but the shorter workouts kick some serious butt!

Wendy - YUP I did ZWOW and now more motivated to do MORE ZWOW .. b/c those burpees klcked my butt!! Now that the 60 competition burpees did me in .. I am gonna have to work up to the one you did .. lol .. I dont want to have a heart attack!! LOL

I am not sure what is on tap for today .. either a run at lunch or heavy weights ... leaning toward a run ... ok ... have a great one!

Okay I took it there this morn, I did Drill Max 2 'Scrambled Eggs' from the premix yeah....I'm grown like that he...he..hee. Seriously, had to modify two of the step routines like cross country forget the other one and I also lowered my step to lowest not sure if its 4' or 6' Looks like your girl is back:rolleyes: went to bed late was up watching Hip Hop abs; me like.

Opted to sleep in rather then work out this morning. Working 6-8 at the studio tonight so there will be no time later either. I'm ok with that coz tmrw it's on! ;)

Di:: Wow, that's a crazy amount of $$ for a certification. I would reconsider that. I can't imagine you will get anything that's worth that kind of $ out of it. JMHO though. I know NASM offers 2 much more reasonably priced options with job guarantees! Take a look:: Get Certified I am probably going for the self-study w/the 2 day workshop option. I wasn't going to but my boss said that the workshop is well worth it so I'm all over it. :)

Laura:: Yay for the ZWow you did! Awesome job! :D Yes, ITA that if you can make a little bit of $ go a long way at a casino then you are winner! I am super excited now b/c remember when I said I didn't think that my DH would want to head down to the casino on Thanksgiving night? Well, HE brought up the fact all on his own that my mom and boyfriend are probably going down on Thanksgiving Day so he said we could just head straight down there after dinner that night! WOOT WOOT!:D That being said, I took the day off of work the day before. I have an 8:30am hair appointment and then I can work out, wash clothes, pack etc without feeling rushed.

Diane: I’m still deciding (what) upper body I want to follow, I thought about STS, Beachbody or The Beast not sure I get board quickly. Altho. I did completed 1 month of STS; got board with that to he...he....I may just join you. I have been out the loop for so long what's BR? I have 8 to 10 lbs to lose myself; first thing I decided to do and was to give up meats, yeah! I am juicing and eating lots of salad loaded with protein and since back to work getting back to my routine. I go to Mustard Seed for their tofu pockets girrrrrrlllllllll they are yummy. Think I'll join in;)

Congrats lady on losing them 20lbs that's a biggie;) You have to feel on top of the world. nice work!!!

Okay, this morning I did Cardio Coach revised 1 and I Hip Hop Abs duh!!! Can't remember which one; but it was only 29 minutes. I had fun doing this workout Shane had me cracking up. Because I went hard while doing CC on my treadmill, jumped right into HHA had a goodie;)

Ystdy - did 3.5 mile run at lunch - felt awesome!! Then I did ZWOW #14 - trying to up my endurance on those toture burpees!! was a great workout - FIVE rounds for time: I started off w/10# .. then quickly dropped to 8# weights
10 overhead presses *changed to 10 overhead tricep ext.
10 Squat Thrust w/overhead press
10 Altn. Back Lunge w/Bicep curl
10 Preach curls while in squat hold
10 Altn weighted Plyo Lunges
10 Broad Jump Burpees w/pushup

Wendy - you are queen of the enabler!!! {{shaking finger at you}}} I am really liking the Zwow workouts .. I wish I had dependable clear internet service at my house I would join her site .. Ystdy I did the workout w/my ipod to CC#8 challenge 2 music .. it was PERFECT tho!!! LOL YAYAYAYAYAAYYA DH is on board gambling .. woohoooo!!

TG: BR is BodyRock ... used to be Zuzka's site which now she does the ZWOW workouts .. Lisa is now the teacher on the BR site - same kinda format tho!!! I like Zuzka better tho!

It is funny the 2 of you are doing NON meat diets .. it seems since crossfit has taken over down here .. everyone here is doing the Paleo diet ... or something similar .. which is MOSTLY meat . and NO carbs ... I fall in the middle .. I think you should eat from all the food groups .. have a lot of protein - eat from as many NATURAL sources as you can - try to limit or cut out processed foods and sugars - I am not a big bread eater or dairy eater (except cheese) .. my main weakness is my CABS and cravings for junk snacks on weekends like chips and dips or cheeses!!!

Ok .. we play GA tmrw - our oldest rivalry - WAAAARRRRRR EAGLE .. hope we pull off this win and dont have any of our players get hurt .. b/c the next game will be our bitter rivals AL .... eeeeeekkkkk ..
 
Hi Ladies,

My DH is starting to try a few of my cleanse meals.:) Today we had baked oatmeal with fruit and nuts for breakfast, it was delicious.

This morning I made 2 different sweet potato casserole's for DS1 to take for him and his friends "Friendsgiving". A bunch of them all get together and bring food, the host does the turkey. He says it's a lot of fun.

Today was GG and BR Challenge Day 24. This was my first time doing GG and much to my surprise I enjoyed it. You all know I like traditional weight work but this was a nice change of pace.

Tomorrow I will be spending most of the day preparing the rest of my meals for the week.

TG-I think the scrambled eggs premix is on BM2, one of my favorites! Nice work!! Shaun T is great so it's no surprised that hip hop abs is fun w/o! I actually bought it for Amanda a couple years ago. Sounds like it was "butt" day today for both of us. Glad you are giving STS another shot.

Laura-I'm definitely looking forward to adding meat back to my diet. Carnivore here...:p I love Zuzka too! I purchased her 3 disc set and the first w/o started with Burpee Hell!

Wendy-Thanks so much for that link, so much more affordable! I'm a Craig Ballantine Fan and have the Turbulence Training book. Sounds like you have a great plan taking the day off before TG. I'm sure you will have a great time and hopefully come home a winner.

Hey Girls. :D

Today's work out started with a warm up of TGU's, Storks and Single Leg Squats then some Horizontal Conditioning (a little goes a loooong way!:eek:) and last but not least - MCT Week 4/Day 10 (4 @ 10r/50w of each of the following exercises: squat jumps with an 8# med ball, indian lift aka levitation hold, jumping lunges with an 8# med ball and tricep dips).

Di:: Ok, I about fell over when I read that your DH is partaking in some of your cleanse meals!:p That's awesome though! :) I never bought into TT back in the day when it first came out and was uber popular so I don't have the book but now it seems to be right up my alley. I'm very excited to try it but I am desperately going to try to finish MCT first. It's a 12 week program that I am only in week 4 of though. I love it but this could be tough for me to hold out! :rolleyes: So what is GG, btw??? :confused:

Laura:: Nice job on yet another ZWow! I am creating a monster and I love it! LOL :D Stinks about your internet service but she has enough free stuff on you tube to keep ya busy for a while I am sure! There is also BR and Loving Fit which are free as well if you want to check them out!

This morning I started my workout 30 minute slow steady run followed by STS d1 chest shoulders and biceps. Have a great day:D
 
Today's work out::
1) Circuit Training Pro App - "Turkish Delight #1" - 2 Get Ups R, 2 Get Ups L. Wash Rinse Repeat for 5 mins. No rest.
2) 8@10/20 of kneeling SB forward rolls.
3) 10@15/35 of modified pull ups and elbow plank holds.
4) Circuit Training Pro App - "Swing Tabata" - 8@10/20 of swings. (I alternated one arm swings.)
5) Circuit Training Pro App - "Fat Burner # 1 Tabata" - 8@10/20 of full Burpees, Speed Squats, Push Ups, Mountain Climbers (on gliders).
Then I finished up with 8:30 minutes of foam rolling which is a record for me and therefore why I mentioned it! :D
