**Damage Control** November

Good Morning Ladies.

While awaiting the arrival of the washing machine repair man (washer has been down since last weekend :() this morning, I managed to get in BR's Butt Fat Melt Down work out (13 mins) + plus the first 15 mins of Low Impact Challenge and I am happy with that for today! Tmrw I am considering trying Turbo Barre :D...so long as my lower body is talking to me anyway!:p

Last night I went out straight from work with an ex coworker I was friendly with the entire time I've been at my job. He left the bank a few months back and we've been in touch so we decided to meet for drinks and appetizers. It was nice to catch up. Ended up not getting home until like 10pm.

Heading out this afternoon with my BF for lunch and a few drinks at the mall and then either a movie or some shopping. :) Tonight I have no plans but who knows how long BF and I will hang out! LOL

Tomorrow is pretty much chore day...I am hoping though that it doesn't have to include a trip to the laundry mat. :rolleyes:

Hi Ladies,

High School football is officailly over for us, and no complaints from me. This frees up my Saturday and evenings for right now. I'm looking forward to the Holiday Meltdown class which starts on Monday!

Today will be STS disc 3 (legs) and a cardio of choice. I should really practice Low Impact Challenge but am not sure I'm up for that today. KPC is sounding good or Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme.

As far as STS goes, I'm just looking at doing Meso 1, 2 times through for November and December. I haven't been lifting on a regular basis and have lost some strength. I want to start P90X2 in January. I'm kind of undecided right now but am sort of following the November LIS/STS rotation.

Wendy-sorry things aren't going well for you now {{Hugs}}. Hope everything works itself out in short order. Washing Machine woes suck.....I feel your pain. So glad I finally got a new washer over the summer, even though we are still paying for it. It sounds like you have a fun day planned-enjoy!!

Laura-glad you were able to workout around your injuries. Make sure you give yourself time to heal.

Is everyone enjoying the extra hour we have today???

STS Disc 2-back & trices and Low Impact Challenge are done! LIC is still taking a bit of rewinding and redoing but am did much better than the first time through. The blast at the end seems to go on forever. Its almost as though Cathe has taken all the low impact blasts from other w/o's and put them together on this one! My legs are fried.

Laundry is done, shower, grocery store, prepare my meals for the week and dinner are what's left on the agenda for today.

Wendy-I'm guessing you're spending time at the laundrymat...boo. Hope today is a brighter day for you! I do recall having to go the laundrymat and hogging up to 5 washers. I was there first and took'em all. I did get some ugly stairs but I didn't want to be there all day.

Evening Girls.

Today, as you probably noticed on FB, I did Turbo Barre for the first time. WOWOWOWOW! Awesome and PAINFUL work out! :eek::eek::eek::D:D:D

Today consisted of food shopping and laundry pretty much. I did a load at the laundry mat while I was at the food store. I took it home wet and dried it here so I wouldn't have to wait for it and while it was drying I hand washed a bunch of smaller stuff. Cost me $2.25 just to wash a small load...what a rip! :eek: Now I am waiting for it all to dry in my less then lightening quick dryer. :rolleyes:

Diana:: Yay for no more football! I want to get my son involved in a sport of some sort but it seems impossible between scheduling w/mine and DH's work and then just the time suck of it in in general! UGH. I need to continue to work on Low Impact Challenge as well. I enjoyed what I did of it y'day. I hope I like the rest just as much! You are tempting me to try only the blast at some point now! Sounds like a good add on to fry the legs a bit! :) TY for the hugs. Today was a bad day :( so they were well timed.

I was supposed to work out this morning (to make it 6 days in a row) but I slept late and then got side tracked so decided to can it. No big deal. I'm not stressin'. There's always tmrw! :)

Heading down for some Shaun T. Action this morning. Not sure what, but whatever it is will certainly be a sweatfest!

Holiday Meltdown class starts tonight! The first night is all the testing, 1 min max reps for pushups/situps, 3 minute step test (HR test), flexibility test, and weight-body composition.

Wendy-everyone needs a rest day, no harm. This is exactly why I don't schedule my rest days, they simply fall as needed. Hope you are off to a fantastic week!

SOME DAY I'll remember to do an Insanity work out again! :rolleyes: I hear ya on not scheduling rest days but I am always afraid of having a long run of w/o's with no break and then wearing out and getting sick. I still attribute that sinus infection a couple years ago to that and it scares me. :confused: Plus with WW on my side these days I am much more relaxed about missing work outs because I feel like I am in enough control that it's not such a big deal when a work out doesn't happen as planned. :) Let us know how you do on the BC fit test tonight!
 
MON ugh ..

OK ... Monday blues ... but I can say I feel good b/c I FINALLY DONT HAVE A MIGRAINE (nock on wood) .. yup .. got one SAT .. and have been medicated all weekend .. was thinking I wouldnt be coming to work . but that last dose at midnight must have worked for me .. :).. still have a dull ache .. but not migraine pain!!! BEFORE I got sidelined by migraine .. I did manage to do AFTERBURN :eek: WOOHOOOO what a fun workout .. i really liked it .. and I was pouring sweat .. and I was surprised how much harder the disc are than my usual bath clothes on my tile floor .. was REAL surprised at how hard the plank pulls/walks on floor w/the discs were .. YIKES .. why was that so ffn hard??? DOMS: butt mostly .. and twingy in entire core .. :D:D EXELLENT workout!!

Di - yayayayayaya no more football - good!!! Holiday Meltdown today .. woohooo!!!! and we have HOLIDAY/THANKSGIVING dinner here at work today :confused: isnt it early for that????? UGH

Wendy - hope things are looking up for you - now you said on FB your pants were falling down .. girlie .. have you lost too much weight?? STRESS will do that to ya~! most people gain weight when they are stressed .. NOT ME .. I can drop a full size when I get stressed out .. hang in there girlie .. more {{{{{{{ hugs }}}}}}}} comin at cha!!!

OK .. sooooo I will be piggin out at lunch :eek: my knee is still catching so step is out for tonight .. may do 3 or 4 step torture ... or good old cardio and yoga ... ??... gotta jet .. have a great one!!;)
 
Laura:: Yes, I recently lost a few extra pounds in short order due to the stress of my situation. Appetite was horrible for a few days. Now it's so so. I've gained a little bit back but not all of it yet. It will work itself out in time...I wouldn't mind the weight loss so much but I just bought new pants/jeans and now they are all too big on me. :( Ugh, sorry about the migraine and continuing headache. I've been getting headaches since friday. I think mine might be sinus related. I hate headaches. Terrible feeling...even a minor one messes me up. Hope yours is gone completely really soon!!!!
 
Hi Ladies,

I'm posting early since I know there won't be time in the morning. So my "numbers" aren't nearly as bad as what I was thinking. Only a couple pounds up...I was thinking about 10. I'm in a challenge on FB and am trying to do better about recording my weights, back on WW as of today and possibly doing STS.:confused: I have this belly fat that I've never had before. Interestingly enough, I was watching my recording of DR. Oz before I left for HM and he was talking about the 4 reasons it's so difficult for women over 40 to lose weight.
1.Resting metabolism slows as we age. (example was if you ate exactly the same thing at 40 that you did at 20, you would gain weight)
2. Hormones-stress hormones (can make you hungry all time, no sleep etc.)
3. ....can't remember right now.
4. Lack of Muscle Mass-fight back with exercise and resistance training.


I scheduled my foot surgery...yes...again. It will be Dec 19th...after Holiday Meltdown and before Tri-Training starts. It's the 3rd bunionectomy on my right foot. There are already screws in there and they will have to break the bone in 2 places, realign and put in new screws. They say it takes about 6-10 weeks for this type of bone break to heal. I'm leaning more towards 6.:)

Tomorrow will be cardio of choice....the rotation calls for Athletic Training but I prefer doing straight cardio and then moving on to the next STS discs.

Wendy-remember the M1 Insanity discs are only about 40 minutes. I use them when I'm short on time. The other shorter combos I use are the HIIT, 4DS KB or BC only segments. Hang in there girl! I gain weight when I'm stressed....it's all the stress eating I do.

Laura-oh no, migraines again. It sounds like you are on the mend though. Do you have that druggy hangover feeling from the pain meds, that's the worse. Afterburn is a goodie, those mountain climbers and bootcamp pushups are tough with the disc. Hope you are feeling better.

TUE morning ladies!

last night I did 3 step torture minus repetitive pushup torture (only did 2 variations) .. ADDED paper plate work :eek: CORE is screaming at me today .. hvng to avoid stepping as it aggrevates the knee problem. Tonight is gonna be mish mosh class ...

Di - migraine gone now .. but yes ystdy had the med and headache hangover - feeling much better today so far!!! :D YIKES your description of the surgery sounds HORRIBLE .. ugh .. poor thing!!! good luck!!!

Wendy - {{{{ hugs }}}} think DH and I may hit the casinos this weekend :eek: possibility anyways .. my turn to win this trip :D:D:D

seems life is throwing curve balls at everyone lately - must be something in the universe out of line :confused: have a friend I am worried about (making stupid life decisions) .. have family I worry about ... work is INSANE -even more than usual ... ugh ...

OK .. well will look at the bright side .. we have a HOLIDAY FRIDAY >> WOOT WOOT!!! :eek: have a great one girlies!!;)
 
Good Morning.

Today's work out was 300 reps of jump rope for a warm up. A 16 minute BR called Hot Fit & Tight that went like this::

Dynamic Squats
Reverse Push Ups
Dive Bomber Push Ups
Prisoner Get Ups

Each exercise was done separately in it's own 4 min interval of 10s rest/30s work-max reps for a total 16 min work out. Killer! :eek:

Then I finished up with a 100 reps of assorted ab work. Not a lot but it sure was a burner! :eek:

Hi Ladies,

No workout yesterday....:mad: I didn't sleep much at all the night before and simply had no energy. I'm back on track today after taking a melatonin last night. All this stress is not good.

This morning will be Imax 3 and tomorrow will back to STS. I'm off a few days on the rotation but am still following it.

I finally popped in on the BR site, not sure of the new hosts name, but she is no zuzana for sure. I figure she's doing the best she can same as the rest of us.

Wendy-Yayyy for sore legs! Love it when you can feel your workout! No worries about missing your workout. You'll be back on track in no time!

Laura-So you're one of the lucky ones who have Friday off. It's not one of my holidays so I'll be working.

WED - HUMP DAY .. COME ON WEEKEND!

last night was mish mosh .. YOWZA .. DOMS: legs, core, and into my arms :eek: today will prbly be a rest day - I have had a H## of a morning .. and stressed to the max!!! I was gonna try to go home and do TB .. but think i may go home and zone out w/some CABS and call it a fffn day!!!

DI - ITA .. she is NO ZUZANA .. by a long shot .. now Freddy's lil' bro is quite a specimen tho ;) .. I wish Zuz would put out a video .. of 15 - 20 min BR workouts .. that would BE AWESOME ..

Wendy - sore legs .. WOOHOOO!!! Was it the squats that gotcha .. ??? how many pounds did you use?? I am still having prblms w/my arms giving out before my abs on the dip station .. :confused: .. but awesome peice of equiptment .. :D

OK .. better run .. have a ton a BS paperwork I gotta do .. these deadbeats ARE KILLIN ME!!!! :mad: have a great one!

I have no idea how...:confused: Good job stickin' to STS! Speaking of which, Jen finally took a chance on M2 and loves it! So happy for her! :D

Good Morning.

Today's work out was the express upper body (20min) premix from Total Body Tri Sets. I really liked it. Can't wait to delve deeper into that one! I followed it up with 12 mins of jump rope intervals (18 rounds of 10rest/30work). Short n sweet! Love it! :D

Heading for the casinos tonight after work! Wish me luck! Laura, if you are still going good luck to you as well! Di, what are your plans for the weekend? Do you both have tmrw off from work? :)

REST day ystdy - was stressfull work day - I went home enjoyed some CABS -and quality time w/DH - then settled in to watch Survivor and CMA awards!! GREAT show!!! Tonight is PLYO night - the knee REALLY bugged me ystdy - it was rainy like - so I may have to modify tonight!! we are under a FREEZE WARNING tonight :confused: WTH??????

Hey Gals:)

Thought I would do another fly by post. I am sitting home waiting to go to an appointment. When I woke this morning DH had the radio on and they were talking about errors being made at the hospital and files being reviewed. Shortly after that I get a call from my Dr's office saying that they are sending me for another ultra sounds b/c my file was reviewed:confused: One Dr thinks that there may be a fold in the skin in the babys belly and another Dr thinks that it is nothing and nothing to worry about. I guess we will know in a hour or so. In the meantime I am trying not to worry about it b/c I can't change it and there is no point in getting stressed out until I know. But I am also excited to see how big the baby is right now and how he is developing.

No other news really. I made my appt for my exam for the 8th of Dec! Im excited about that. I am planning to work right up until the New year....its just as well. I am still working out here and there but I by back tends to be really tired and sore on the days that I do. My weight is kinda staying the same, I haven't gained in about a month now. Im at the 30 lbs mark with 11 weeks left to go:eek: I was hoping it would slow down....geez!

I am on call tonight for one of the girls I work with and of course I have two flights. One at 9:30 and another at 3:30! I could cry!!! I will try to come back and let you know how my ultra sound went. And i will also try to check in at work during the weekend and do some personals.

Hope all is well! Can't wait to get back into my workout routine and skinny jeans!;)

I'm having a crappy day, UGH.:mad: I did start my day with STS Disc 4 and that was good. I started following the November rotation but it using the undulating method of STS but I'm just going to follow each meso instead.

Lori-glad you popped in. Hope the ultrasound is all good news. Like you said, you can't change it but it's always good to be informed! You are doing great with your weight, don't even worry about it. Getting up in the middle of the night sounds terrible to me. Glad you got you test scheduled...good for you!

Wendy-Unfortunatley I have to work tomorrow, but DH will be off from work and DS will be home from school. Good Luck at the casino's tomorrow and this weekend!

Laura-maybe you need to have you knee checked out by a Dr....have you considered that.:confused: I know we usually just work through our pain and hope it will eventually go away.;) We just weigh and measure on the first night of class and do a short workout. Tonight will be a full workout and I expect it to be tough!
