Good Morning Girls.

Today will be something ala' lower body and a short cardio of choice. I may also take pilates class at the gym tonight-not positive about this one though.

Just wanted to get us started. I was last to post last night so I don't believe I have anything to catch up on.

BBL!:)

Hello again!

Decided to do One on One Training with Jackie: Lower Body this morning. I used 10# DB's and really felt it! Nice burn for a 20 minute work out!!!:) I think I will do the cardio from BBC Butt and Legs this afternoon and I've decided that I will definitely try to make it to Pilates class tonight....Talk about an all-out attack on the legs, ey? *where's the devil smiley when ya need it!?* :D

Good Morning Ladies!

I wasn't around the past 2 days....surry:eek::D I went for a long run on Sat...18.4 kms. I went the highway route...and I didn't realize so many people would see me and talk about it! LOL DH and I went to seperate parties on Sat night and people were saying " I seen you today...your crazy" Or "I seen your wife today.." I wanted to try a different route and there are so many hills, its a plus. I should be workng on interval training right now with the race coming up but Im not doing it to win so why risk an injury? I think I will do better this yr if the 10 k race is any indication.

Wendy** Where are you going on Vaca? and how long will you be gone for? No vaca for us this summer...we spend all of our money in your country!:p;) Not to mention we are getting the driveway done....a whopping $7900:confused:

Diana** Thats alot of useful info! I wonder how many cals I need a day. I think you could do it on 1600 cals no sweat. My friend was complaining yesterday b/c she as been running 5 k for about 2 monthes now and she really isn't losing any weight. (she doesn't NEED to lose any weight) and its the worst time she as felt. She said she would rather not workout and not be hungry! I don't get that. I love my workouts sooooo much!

Jacque** So your boy didn't come by to see you!! How rude! hehe! Your weigh in day is today?? Tell us how that goes? If I can maintain during the summer I am doing o.k. Everytime I turn around there is something to go to!

Jen** Is the weather shaping up for you? It must have if you got a sunburn. Its raining here today but I think its suppose to be nice for the rest of the week....not high temps though:confused:

So I am heading to my parents house for a few days. Im hoping it won't be to exhausting on me...having DS all to myself. I can't even get my mother to take him cause chances are, he is only going to want ME to do certain things. I do have a neice though that is great with kids so maybe she will help me!!

Good Morning, girls!

My plans for a run yesterday fell apart. The kids wanted to come along and there was an argument over whether DD should ride her bike (which is what I wanted) or run with me (which is what she wanted.) DS wanted to take his bike. And truth be told, I couldn't really have him on his bike, her running with me, and still get in a solid run. All the debate escalated into arguing and finally, in order to end the bickering, I threw in the towel on that idea and skipped the workout altogether. In fact, what should have been my workout time turn into a short nap time on the couch :p

So, I hopped on the tread before work this morning and got in five miles. The weather is beautiful here today and will definitely allow a walk at lunch time.

Ladies, take my advice and stay off the scales today. Ouch, it hurt.

Wendy: Yes, we need to firm up our August plans! I was informed yesterday that there will be one weekend that I have to attend a 50th anniversary party but I don't know the date for sure yet. Will let you know as soon as I find out. What I do know is that DSO was offered free rooms for the entire month of August! So we're all set there, just have to book it. Sounds like you're torturing yourself "nicely" today!

Lori: You're getting yourself a reputation in your town! You'll be the Crazy Running Chick or something like that. LOL Could be worse, right? Definitely recruit your niece for help with DS every chance you get. As my friend is fond of saying, "She's young, she'll bounce back..." ;)

Jacque: Sounds like you had a good time on Saturday! Yes, I'll bet your fatigue is your body adjusting to the running again. Maybe if you take it a little slower and build up you'll feel better? It's no fun when your workouts knock you on your butt for the day. I agree that those MGD 64s are great for these summer parties where you'd like to have a cold one without the buzz!

Diana: Sounds like the nutritionist appt. went very well! She's done a good job providing you with a lot of info and the cals sound manageable. Wishing you luck with your new plan!

Hi to Laura! Hope you had a great holiday weekend!

Work beckons, but will bbs~

Morning ladies !

Well with my 20% discount from getting STS I ordered "the Terminator" and did the 1st 45 min of IMax Extrememe. Combo of C&W with IMaxes in between. Tough workout and it was pretty warm by that time of the day - great sweatfest.

Unfortunately I'm up 1/2 a lb from last Monday. Yep, Jen you are right. Guess if I look back and remember sushi, a Togo's sandwich (we had a working lunch) and the the 4th (buttered bread), that may explain it? I hope so because I feel like I worked my butt off ! :(

This week I'm doing Push Pull, Supersets and NMTZ. May throw in some freestyle lunges at lunch cuz I can't get in full weight workouts in a half hour. Then I'll run other days for cardio as the weather should be nice from here on out. Perhaps in the AMs when I am not too tired I'll toss in a short step or other cardio. That would not be this AM though!

Wendy - LOL about GWF's falling from the sky. I am going to try very hard to do this on my own and if it fails I'll give in to GWF. Hoping I can get this down a bit so I can at least enjoy one cheat meal per week without gaining ! :p Will put the old ped back on today and get started once again - the weekend was definitely not 10K days by any means. Is the 1 on 1 a "lunge" type LB workout? You have a great workout day set up - hope it all works out for you.

Lori - so you are the talk of the town huh? Well I think it's great that it is for running rather than some other things people usually talk about ! Sounds like you had a good weekend. Have fun at your parent's and agree that you should "borrow" your niece to be with her cousin as much as possible. My DD loves kids and all my nieces are all attached to her at once whenever she shows up. They all enjoy it - especially my SIL's !

Jen - sorry for the dilemma with your workout y'day, but sounds like you made up for it today and will be out walking for lunch too ! Bet the "nap" was just what you needed to complete the nice long weekend. ;) I guess I probably did get quite a few miles in last week - thinking this week I'll cut back a little and perhaps do some walking hills. That gets my HR up just as high.

Diana - good luck on your nutrition plan this week. ITA that the cals should be quite manageable. We'll both work on eating in the AMs OK? Y'day I ate 5 times and wasn't very hungry at all. Did she adjust your workouts much?

Laura - anxiously awaiting to hear how your weekend turned out ! ;)

OK ladies - off to get moving to work. BBL.

Hi Ladies,

I opted not to run this morning. The last two times I ran, Friday and Sunday, my calf and hamstring were hurting and I don't want an injury. I'm enjoying the running but my feet sure aren't. This morning I did 4DS KB/BC cardio. I love all the jacks and kicks in the kb and BC is just plain fun and is over in no time.

Lunch will be a heavy leg w/o at the rec ctr and then bootcamp tonight. The next 2 days I have to be to work early so I won't be able to workout in the A.M. I'll have to figure something else out though.

My NC said she wasn't familiar with the GWF so she couldn't endorse it. She did say she was a firm believer in the Body Bugg though and that she was actually a beta tester when they first came out. I'm sure if she knew the GWF was a new improved Body Bugg she would endorse it.

She did give me a lot of information, like working out on an empty stomach is okay but you need to eat within 30 minutes of finishing your w/o. Your metabolism is already very low when you wake up in the morning. Working out increases your metabolism a bit, but if you don't eat for 2 hours your body thinks its starving and holds on to everything you eat keeping your metabolism low. The program uses exchanges, for example-my breakfast should be 1 dairy exch, 1 fat exch, 1 fruit exch, 2 starch exchanges. Basically, instead of counting points like WW, you count exchanges. She said I shouldn't have to count calories, but by following the exchanges for each meal and snack I should end up at my calorie target.

Wendy-You have a nice day planned for yourself! I love pilates but haven't taken it in forever. Enjoy your many workouts today, I'll be joining you.

Lori-You should be proud, maybe you can get more folks interested in running too! Hope your neice does help you out, I'm sure she will be happy too.

Jen-sorry your w/o didn't really workout for you yesterday. My kids would rollerblad or ride their bikes. Did you explain to DD that she probably wouldn't be able to run as long as you and you would prefer she rode her bike. Offer to run a shorter distance with her next time. Not sure if that would work or not, but it may be worth a try.

Jacque-I love the terminator DVD. My favorite is the gauntlet. It does repeat a couple exercises but I do something different since I know they are repeats. She didn't change my workouts and the program shows that I workout 5 days per week, 45-60 mins. Most weeks I probably workout more than that. Monday's I w/o 3 hours because I have time, Thursdays is twice and then at least one w/o per day on the other days.

Laura-How was your weekend? Is this the weekend of DN's birthday party at your place??

Reading through posts since I have a few minutes before I leave work.

Ended up doing a 20 min walk to add some steps - brought on a slight sweat and that's all I can handle and then go back to work ! Quickie clean up, quickie lunch and off I went.

Will be doing Push Pull and probably about a half hour cardio if I have time. Need to hit the store so I can make my Doggie Casserole tonight.

BBL to report what I really did ! And then to catch up on personals too, of course.:p

OK - finished Push Pull and then tackled 35 min of Step Blast. That was tough on the legs after the weightwork. Not a stellar performance, but ended up a sweaty tired mess. Works for me ! :p With my shopping (Wally World & Costco) I added 3K steps, so after my workout was done I was at 11.7K. Woo Hoo that is a good day !

Diana - Bummer that your legs hurt when you run. Were you doing hills or mostly flatland? My calves and hammies get real sore on the hill runs. At least you have a heck of a workout planned with legs and BC tonight. So for breakfast you don't have a protein? Or is that what the dairy is? Anxious to see how this turns out - would love not to count the cals - does she calculate macros at all or just the basic food groups?

Well ITA that if she is a bodybugg fan then GWF is right there ! Giving this a couple of weeks and just may need to take the plungs if I can't get myself in some sort of control. Crossing fingers this works though.;)

Laura - nice weekend and it was no secret you wouldn't have time to workout. I didn't do much either so no biggie. This is another week and with your vacation hanging over your head I have no doubt you'll dig in and take care of business ! Sounds like your workout tonight will be a super great start ! How long do you have? Yeppers gonna get running again. I'd like to get in 15 or so miles a week, perhaps 20 depending on where I fit it in. A couple outdoor runs at least (Tues & Thurs eves) and perhaps a couple in the AMs if I am up early enough - CC challenges are good, sometimes just SS cuz I just don't feel like doing anything but running and vegging. Strap on that ped girl and that will help you too ! :p Happy Pickling ! :D

Wendy - wow you got loads of workouts done today - how's the step count going?

Enjoy the evening !
