Jen, Phew! I am so relieved to hear that you were able to go to the casino to make sure everything was in order for our arrival in a few weeks! LOL You are da bomb! :cool: 10:30?? Oh my word! Sadly, I don't even think that is humanly possible for me to do anymore! 8am seems to be my absolute limit and that's only if I was up late. Good for you though! :D

Well, I think that the run and the day off from lower body resistance work did the trick. My thighs feel TONS better then they did y'day! On to Tone It Up today! :)

I got on the scale this morning. I don't feel or look bad so I thought it might be okay. NOT! LOL I am sure it's just water/bloat but I don't see it or feel it so it's quite annoying to see the scale number up like it is. I swear I'll never figure it out! :confused:

Gotta work this morning so I'll be back this afternoon.

Good Morning chicas!!

I was up early this morning before my alarm (which is set for 4:30, by the way :eek:) and was able to get in both CLX's Burn It Off and PLB standing exercises. The humidity is fierce here this week, and the workout was a complete sweatfest! Glad it's out of the way.

Lori: Congratulation on a GREAT time! That is awesome :cool: Hope you're resting those legs today because they deserve it.

Wendy: I knew you'd appreciate that...and that's just the kind of girl I am, always willing to make the most grueling sacrifices for my friends ;) It was tough, but I did it for you! For the record, you have my permission to drag my lazy butt out of bed on the 16th if I dare try to sleep past eight! No worries about the scale today, it's just post weekend water and it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Hi Ladies,

My chest is feeling a bit better today. I wish I knew how it was hurt to begin with. This morning I did KB's, Empire State. It's only 40 minutes which worked out good for me this morning. Jerod had to be at camp early today.

Legs are on the agenda for lunch and bootcamp class tonight. Oh, the nutrition consultant never showed yesterday.:mad: I emailed her to let her know I waited 35 minutes for her. She was away on a bike trip and when she got back she had to pick up her 6 kids from her very exhausted Mom. Her cell had gone through the washer right before she left and she was out of contact with the "outside world" per se. We are rescheduling for later this week.

Lori-congrats on your race! Setting a new PR is quite an accomplishment!!

Wendy-I too hate the scale and I haven't stepped on it for about 2 weeks. It will be a surprise....The temps are in the 80's today, but are supposed to drop down into the 70's for Tuesday and Wednesday. Perfect running weather for me!

Jen-OMG 4:30....You are crazy girl!!! Good for you for getting up and getting that workout in. I usually get up and workout around 6:30...sometimes as late as 7am.

Jacque-What are you up to today? When are you expecting the GWF to be delivered? I may just cave and order it too!!:D

Laura-are you back from your Anniversary weekend??? You'll have to tell us all about it.;)
 
Hey Girls.

I am getting ready to pop in Tone It Up here in just a few minutes but wanted to pop in and say hi first.

Jen:: K, 8am sounds fair! If you really like to sleep though, please don't feel bad about it. I am sure that I can amuse myself in a casino some how! :p I especially hate sleeping the morning away when I am in a hotel cause I figure if I am away then it's for a reason so there has GOT to be something better to do then sleep! :D Great job getting up at 430 and banging out the work out! I got up at 430 for a "work out" one time and that was to run my first half marathon. It started at 7am in a town about 45 minutes from us and I needed time to wake up, drink my coffee, eat, etc. Not to mention the fact that they tell you to be there early to check in, get your goodie bag, pee, etc. I was so darned nervous though that I barely slept anyway so it was alright! LOL BTW, I've decided to follow up SS with the Push phase of CLX and if I am enjoying it as much as I did last time I may just continue on with it from there. Any idea when you are going to re-start your CLX rotation??

Diana:: What a bummer about the nutrition appointment. I am sure you were aggravated but when stuff like that happens, what can you do?? Now if it happens again then you dump her butt and demand a new person!!! The length of most KB work outs is definitely a plus if you are looking to keep it at under and hour. I love 'em for that too! Among other reasons. :)

Alrighty, I'd better hop to it! I need to hit the post office before it closes and also want to get to the food store this afternoon! Busy busy!

Hey ladies ..

I am back at work .. had a great time this weekend .. although we got in some terrible storms at sea ... lightning popping everywhere .. I got scared and started indulging early and ended up drinking WAYYY too much :eek: but it was fun once we got thru the storm .. it was COLD .. raining and I wore a trash bag all day :confused: forgot my rain jacket b/c it was supposed to be GORGEOUS .. but it wasnt!!! We went out that night and had a blast .. then came home and spent the afternoon in the pool .. DH kept telling me he didnt get me anything for my anniversary ... I "thought" he was KIDDING .. OH NO .. he didnt even get me a card :( so he is kinda in the dog house ....soooo today he says he is coming to town and that he was getting me something .. :mad:.. ok THAT is NOT the point!!!!! :mad: MEN .. ugh!

anywho ... I did the elliptical at lunch ... it was hot in there :mad: tonight I am doing circuit class ..

Wendy .. your night out sounded fun!!! and I am not going anywhere NEAR the scales .. UGH .. I am feeling huge and getting ILL!!!!

Jen .. w/o at 4:30 .. IN THE MORNING ... :eek: .. girl you have lost your mind :p My brain is not functioning that early much less trying to get my body in gear that early .. GEEESH!!! Kudos to you though!!!

Di ..your nutritionist has SIX kids??? YIKES .. it is a wonder she has time to do anything or meet w/anyone .. sorry she missed your appnt though .. that is so aggravating to be waiting on someone ..

I mean he didnt FORGET the anniversary.. but GMAB he could have at least HAND wrote me a note.. ugh .. aahhhhh :( gotta get outta this funk and stop being negative!!!!
 
Howdy girls !

Well today's workout will be a FB and possibly some quick cardio afterwards. Thinking Supersets or PushPull and maybe HIIT. We'll see where my energy is when I get home.

Wendy - Good to hear the legs are feeling better - you did the right thing there ! Now that doggone scale - I'm with you as I hop on way too often. It does keep me paying attention to what I eat, drink and my exercise plan so I guess it's OK as long as I'm not obsessing too much. The whole reason for getting a GWF which I still haven't checked the order yet since it was Sat AM and probably no info until today. Will be checking in just a bit ! :rolleyes:

Jen - Great job in checking out the travel plans - you just crack me up girl ! ! ! :p And you really need to send me some of that early morning energy ! How can you get up that early and have any energy, especially for a workout? Honest question: Do you workout far away from the kids so they can't hear you, or are they just good sleepers? (I'd love to workout earlier many days but DH is sleeping right next to the workout room).

Diana - so happy to hear the chest is better today. Sometimes those strange sorenesses seem to come out of nowhere, huh? Bummer about the appt y'day, but now you can work really hard this week and drop even more ! I thought of you this AM when they said Portland is over 100' - good thing you are back in Denver now !

Laura - happy happy times other than the "acts of nature". LOL about the trash bag - I can picture that one ! :D Sounds like you got to forget about the crap at work at least ! I want to put in my .02 here about your DH too ! From what you post here he thinks of you quite often and does little special things all the time. I say cut him a little slack . . . get out of your funk. You picked a good one - remember all he does for you all year, not just one day during the year.

OK - back to work. Enjoy the day !
 
What a Monday .. I have a splitting head ache ..forgot to get my BC pills refilled and I know that is why it is hurting .. that and it has been WILD today .. LOL

Jacque .. yeah .. I am gonna have to cut DH some slack ... he is pretty dang good to me ... he is just REALLY bad on getting the gift/card ON the date .. has always been that way .. we almost broke up on Valentine's Day when we first started dating b/c he didnt "get it" .. he doesnt see the importance in TIMING .. LOL ... but what he lacks in "getting it" .. he does make up for in surprising me at different times .. when I least expect it ..so I will cut him some slack and hope he does better on MY BIRTHDAY .. :eek: .. it is coming up in Sept ... LOL!!!

OK .. better run .. it is finally 5 oclock .. and I am ready for a HARD workout!!! :)
 
Hey girls!

Yeah, admittedly 4:30 is obscenely early, but I'm used to it now. During the school year we have to be out of the house by 7:30, and I'm not back until after six. By the time supper is cooked and I've cleaned up and everything, it's just too late for me to think of working out, so I get up early. But trust me, it's still a process :p. The alarm goes off at 4:30, I snooze for about 15 minutes, then I pour a GIANT cup of coffee and enjoy that for about a half hour, THEN I'm finally able get into the workout clothes and get moving. I'm always so happy when I'm finished though, and know that it's out of the way for the day.

Diana: Sorry to hear the NC didn't show :mad: Even though it sounds like she had a legit excuse, that's still frustrating. However, the bright side is that when you see her next week, your accomplishments will be even more evident! Glad to hear your chest is feeling a little better today.

Wendy: How the heck did you manage to run a half marathon after barely sleeping all night :eek: I'm actually a true morning person, but after being up so early all week long, I tend to catch up on the weekend. However, I will not be letting beauty sleep interrupt a good time ;) I keep contemplating CLX again, and I'm not sure when exactly I'm going back to it. I thought I'd do it starting in August, but now I'm thinking September might be a better start date with the kids going back to school. The shorter workouts will make my mornings go a bit smoother. I really like your idea of jumping right into the Push phase.

Laura: :rolleyes:Men:rolleyes: I think Jacque gave you great advice, but I'd still let him sweat it a bit ;) AND I'd let him come into town with that gift...better late than never! LOL

Jacque: What did you decide for your workout? I love both those workouts, but Supersets gives me major DOMS. The only reason I can workout without disturbing the kids is because I converted my garage into my gym, and it's at the opposite end of the house. (Yes, I'd rather brush two feet of snow off my car in January than be without a workout area :eek:) It's not ideal in the sense that it's kind of grungy and really hot in the summer, really cold in the winter, but it serves its purpose for now. DSO and I are in the beginning stages of building a house (planning and stuff), and I will have a more comfortable setup when we move. It's one of only two of my requirements, the other being a gourmet kitchen ;)

Almost time to hit the sack :) Will catch you all in the morning ~
