DAMAGE CONTROL***MARCH***

Hi Ladies,

I tackled the Gauntlet this morning, what a great way to start the day! No running today, there is a lot of smoke in the air from a fire and we've been told not to exercise outside today.

Good Morning:)

The baby didn't go to sleep as early last night and needless to say I am not feeling the most energetic this morning...hopefully my coffee will help:)

My day was suppose to be hectic but the two girls I was suppose to train aren't coming. I started back a little bit with that stuff. Actually I kind of got tricked into it with one of them. Long story short she text me to see if I was training people now, I told her no and she told me to let her know when I did. A few weeks after that she text me to ask if we could get 6 sessions in before she went on her trip (obviously all in the mind...not sure how much weight she thought she was gonna shed with 6 workouts) I agreed and the next thing I know she is asking about this week. She starts a new job next week and I reminded her that working out in the evening isn't going to work for me. So I told her no a few weeks ago and here I am trying to get out of evening workouts so I don't lose my mind!:p The other girl is a good friend who as the stomach bug, she can stay home!

Yesterday's workout was Insanity strength (I think that's my fav) and 20 mins on the TM. Today is back to core and I am going to do a run as well cause my mom will be here to watch DS.

Had my taxes done yesterday....my return is almost 2900:eek: I could buy 29 pieces of lulu with that!;)

Wendy** Nope...no nursing after age one with this gal and I won't make it that long. I lasted about 7-8 m with the other two so I am guessing the same with this guy. When a kid can ask for it, then it was time to give it up two years ago!:rolleyes: I usually stop when I feel like I don't have any milk, or I get bitten! Once you bite me, WE ARE DONE! Are you still working??

Laura** Glad to hear your pooch is coming around! I had a little giggle when I read about your golf cart incident. Are you sure he isn't after your life insurance?;)

Diana** I kind of figured the tri was a mini but whatever it is, I would still like to do something like that.I can't imagine actually training for a full...that must take a lot of time. I can't even imagine training for a mary now. I still haven't committed to the half that is going to be here in May month. Geez...its almost April! Where is the time going? I am really enjoying this new Insanity set. Its so different. I may try another rotation after this one.

I may check back later. Unlikely I will be here tomorrow. Skating for DS2 and needles for DS1 tomorrow:(

Hey ..

I go for my yrly OBGYN today - I am gonna ask him about my head and me flying ... :) .. it is still hurting .. but no more dizzy! I figured I would have major DOMS today .. but I dont .. wow!!!

Di - good workout this morning - I am getting antzy about not working out (well the way I want to) ... wanting to tackle a nice run!!! maybe tmrw!!

Lori - did you ever say what running shoes you wear??? i have got to get some new ones .. sounds like you have some busy training days coming up .. MAYBE.. LOL ..

Wendy - whats on agenda for today!

OK .. better run .. gotta leave in about an hour to go to Dr apnt .. need to clear the ASAP work stack out .. LOL .. Have a great one!
 
Laura** I always wear asics. I bought blur33 this time I think. More of I light weight runner. I also bought the kayano which are the $200 ones Im thinking about taking back. I really like the blur ones and the color.

Good Afternoon.

Another busy day...9am tax appointment. By the time I got home it was like 10:30 then a snack, work out, shower, lunch, a little fart around time and then I was busy cooking dinner ahead of time for tonight since we have something to do so won't be able to eat until about 7-I don't want to have to cook but wanted real food. I made chicken enchiladas from the Skinny Taste site. They look yummy!

Today's work out was BM2 upper body only, Intensity hi impact HiiT only and the yoga/stretch work out from Beach Body called Awaken The Body. All totaled it was about an hour work out. The yoga/stretch was the longest segment clocking in at 27 mins. Felt good. Tomorrow it's back to Bob's killer yoga! :D

K, this is just a quickie..want to wash the dishes before heading out. Be back to catch up with personals tmrw most likely!:cool:

back from DR .. he said I was lucky .. my head hit at the hardest place on the skull .. he said I prbly had light concusion .. but since I did not black out - or throw up - and my pupils are good .. that I was prbly fine .. he said if head continued to hurt .. by MON to call and we will do MRI JIC! :) Made me feel better!!! other than taht I was fine .. will get results next week from paps and mgrm .. I had lost more weight .. I was shocked .. that was on a full stomach too! :D

Lori - I like Asics too - only thing some of them rub my heels raw .. create bad blisters .. since I have been wearing Mizunos I dont have that problem (knock on wood)... I like a light weight shoe too .. but need cushioning for my arch and my knees .. I found some Mizuno Waverider 15's .. they are NOT cute .. they are LOUD .. but oh so comfy .. I hope I can take them for short test run today! :)

Wendy ... how can you cook and not sample?? OMG .. I would HAVe to EAT if I cooked!! LOL .. sounds delish!!!

If my head allows I am gonna try to do a quick RUN in my NEW shoes after work - it is HOT HOT HOT tho .. 86 degrees :confused:

Hi Ladies,

I took today and tomorrow off work to do something with DS since he is on spring break. Today we have work to do in the house, but tomorrow we will get out to lunch, shop, and perhaps a movie too.

We had a short outdoor bootcamp class last night, it was awesome. We did 2 laps around the football to start and then right into 10 hills....our trainer is crazy. It was a killer cardio w/o last night...makes me yearn for summer to get here.

Wendy-I've done that ZWOW w/o, you'll like it! Have you started the job hunt yet? Did your company offer you anything....like 1 week pay for each year you'd been there or anything like that...or just unemployment? Thanks for reminding me I need to get back to cooking more often. The rest of the family eats much healthier when I cook.

Laura-Guess it's good to be hard headed!:p Hope your test results all come back good. I have some weight I'm happy to share with you...;) Hope you can get...did you get your run in yesterday.

Lori-nice tax refund...we don't get much anymore since the kiddo's are dropping off as dependents. We usually used it to pay off Christmas or credit card bills anyway. Those expenses are less too since the kids are older.

I'm heading down for cardio, Cardio Fusion Mix & Max premix and abs. We weigh in tonight for the Spring Fitness Challenge. I noticed my BF% was lowest when doing STS as designed and my rec ctr group classes. I'm not sure I'm digging this STS/Low Impact rotation as I'm not seeing the results I was hoping for. Admittedly, I haven't been following the rotation completely though.

THURSDAY - aka: FRI EVE

Morning Ladies!

I got my run in after work ystdy - in my NEW shoes - CC#7 in my ear - it was bittersweet - cant believe that beautiful motivating voice is gone :( - but it was a great run - it was my first run in over a month - and was a lot better than I expected - I went 5 miles - in 55 min - well that is including warm up and cool down - soooo really it was about 45 minutes .. I did some killer sprints ... and my legs and butt KNOW i did!! DOMS: quads - inner thigh - and hips! HURTS SO GOOD! :D

I got home and Buster was acting like his old self - barking for treats, barking for a ride, barking for food -- I was BRAVE and let DH take us for a ride :confused: ... no incident this time .. :p .. we got back and Buster wanted to eat .. HE ATE .. out of his bowl .. and wanted more! :D:D:D:D yessssss this made me very happy! and he ate AGAIN this morning! ..His heart rate is stabalizing .. so I am hoping it will keep on improving!! :D:D:D (knock on wood)

DI - wow .. sounds like a great bootcamp class was awesome!! How close are you to the fires burning out there .. YIKES .. only 25% contained .. scary stuff!!!

Wendy - see on FB ZWOW was killer! I will have to check it out!

Lori - we dont get tax refund .. WE HAVE TO PAY :(:( :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Good morning!

Okay my work out is done! I had to take a ten minute breather in between the Zwow and Bob's Yoga for the Warrior but I got it all done! ;)
Tough stuff! I completely underestimated the amount of push ups in the Zwow and my upper body is pretty sore from BM2 upper y'day so wow, she almost killed me and I was modifying most of the push ups and even skipped them completely in the last round of burpees!!! :eek: It took me about 27:35 to complete this work out. I definitely took my time. I HAD to! :eek:

Laura:: Glad the doc said you should be fine!!! I knew you weren't goin' anywhere! You are too tough for that! ;) Sorry you have to pay the IRS. That was us last year to the tune of 4g's! :eek: This year is much better. Not as nice as was in previous years but we are getting a little back so we are happy. Enough $ to pay for our plane tickets to Vegas! :D

Lori:: So you are a fan of Insanity Strength huh? By that do you mean the upper body work out Sean does as part of the deluxe Insanity dvds? I have it. It's a tough one for sure. Might have to dust it off next week now that you mentioned it! ;) IDK if you saw my post on it but I was laid off from my job on March 16. Been home for almost 2 weeks now. I am getting a week of severence pay and able to collect while I look for a new job. I'm not broken up about it. I hated that place! So is your DS going to be a champion skater or perhaps a professional with the NHL? You are Canadian after all! :) Hockey is also one of the few sports I can tolerate. I went to my first live game last year and enjoyed it! Hope the new running shoes work out for you! Decided wether you will bring the $200 pair back yet? You can buy another Lulu outfit instead! ;)

Diana:: If the STS/LIS rotation isn't working for you move on to something that is! Glad you enjoy your crazy BC trainer bc if she wasn't crazy you wouldn't love that class so much! :) Keep on cookin' girl! Me and DH are having last night's left overs for lunch today! YUM!

My workout is done, showered, bills paid, check book balanced....moving on to the girls room....been procrastinating on this one for literally months.

Wendy-love the new link. Did you check out the versa fit bag, it's only $60. I'm guessing I would have to fill it with sand myself. I previewed the Bikini/Leg w/o....something like that...looks great!!! I have a pork tenderloin in the crockpot! I'm just tired of doing the same w/o's over and over so I've been throwing in other similar w/o's instead. OMG, 4G's, I would've had a hear attack. We got more of a tax refund when the boys were younger, now we just have the one child to deduct now and have made the necessary withholding changes so hopefully we won't pay next year. We did get a small refund this year, as long as we don't have to pay.

Lori-I haven't done all of the asylum workouts. I'll have to check out the weight w/o. I did enjoy the regular Insanity weight w/o, the pyramid really bites!

Laura-I'm not close to the fire, but the smoke has really traveled and the News indicates you should not be workout outside until the smoke is gone...who knows when that will be since it only minimally contained. The temps are in the 70's and it would be nice to get back to running. Perhaps this weekend I will give it a go.

Hi Girls,

Today wasn't as crazy as I thought. I didn't watch DS skate and I didn't workout before the baby's needles either so I took my time and got ready.He was good getting his needles but I think his legs are bothering him. I gave him some tylenol, hopefully that helps.

My parents were in yesterday and when they went to leave they hit a hole in the road and flattened a tire so they came back again for alnight. They watched the kids while I did a 10k outside. Today was suppose to be asylum plyo but I will do that tomorrow instead. It was so nice here today, I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

Laura** Yay...your doggie is coming around. I love my asics, afraid to try anything else, they've never failed me yet. I have extra taxes taken out of my pay to make sure I get money back. Next year won't be so good thought b/c I am home all of this year.

Diana** I haven't done overtime or relief yet. Im not really looking forward to overtime but I thought plyo was going to be tougher as well. I will be anxious to measure when this four weeks is up. I will probably follow it again.

Wendy** Nope...I had no clue that you weren't working. I don't own the deluxe insanity so I have no clue what workout you are talking about. I loaned my Insanity set to a teen that works for DH, hopefully he is taking good care of them or I will have to kick his arse. Who knows what DS will be but my bet would be on a mascott! My sneakers haven't been returned yet but they keep moving closer to the door! LOL

I will probably bb tomorrow. I am babysitting all day tomorrow b/c there isn't any school.

I am up enjoying a coffee with the baby, everyone else is still a sleep. The girls should be here soon though.

I am hoping to get my workout in sooner then later. I also might try another run outside when DH comes home from work. I lost 4 lbs last week but nothing this week so far. I am 10 lbs away!!!

Workout is done. I did Vertical plyo, 20 mins run, 10mins on the bike and relief. The kids decided to go outside so my house is nice and quiet,....minus the tattle telling every once in a while.

Hi Ladies,

I didn't sleep very well last night and am chugging the coffee this morning. I need to figure out what w/o I'm going to do. I'm on the verge of bailing on the LIS/STS rotation and selecting a different one.

I made a little progress on the girls room, but really need DS to help me finish...what are we sending to them, what are we keeping here etc. I would also like to get some shelving for the closet, but DH said we have too much stuff if we need shelving...UGH. It's called organization instead of having everything stacked up on the closet floor, jeez.:mad:

You two are cracking me up.:p

Lori-I haven't tried the Asylum weight w/o, may take a look-see at that today. Vertical Plyo and Game Day were 2 of my favs from that series. Enjoy your quiet time while you can. Woo Hoo, only 10 to go...you are making great progress!!!

Wendy-lasagna sounds yummy. I should probably look for a couple recipes for next week. Thanks for reminding me.:D

I am on cash counter - we are short handed and first checks dropped .. BUSY at the asylum today .. ack!!! I did a 5 mile run 50 min including warm up and cool down :Dmy legs wwere sore.. they always loosen up .. NOT YESTERDAY .. EEEEEOUCH .. and today I am walking like a zombie .. ugh .. SORE is putting it mildly .. i really pushed on the sprints .. and ran up the tremendous hill .. sooooooo ya .. I am a hurtin today! TODAY IS TOTAL REST DAY - BRING ON THE CABS!!!! :D:D:D :cool:

Lori - I love the strength one too .. it is awsome! I knew what you meant!! LOL - speed and agility is my all time fav - with gameday next!!

Wendy - you are cracking me up .. LOL .. thanks for the smile!

Di - Buster is doing good right now (nock on wood) -he is eating - and ate last night and this morning w/o being "coaxed" into it .. he is a hungry boy!! THANK GOODNESS! Thnx for asking!! Keep the positive thoughts coming!!

OK .. so REST today - it is to rain anyway - and tmrw will either be AB or BOB .. OR a long run outside ... and whatever I do tmrw I will do the other SUN .. :D.. and I also hoping for a drama free weekend .. the last 3 weekends we have been sad - frustrated - and stressed out .. hoping to get by the pool and relax .. and maybe try to go fishing in our pond!! :cool:

I did STS disc 10, Chest/Shoulders/Biceps. I wasn't really into it but forced myself to complete it. I need to shower up and head out with DS.

Laura-now you and Lori have me wishing I would've done the Asylum Weight workout! Enjoy your rest day!!!

Hello again...FINALLY:rolleyes:...and I don't even have very long at that!:eek: It's amazing how busy one's life gets once one is no longer employed at a paying job! :p

This morning's work out (while my sauce was cooking) was the following (my original plan morphed into something a bit larger lol)...

Slide n Glide: Warm up + Cardio + leg conditioning
STS D3: firewalkers, front and side paper plate lunches using dixie cups in lieu of weights + the 5 exercises in the bonus.
BL Yoga for Weight Loss: 30 minutes (levels 1+2 but omitting ab segment)
STS Extended Stretch

Lori:: Ok you are forgiven but only coz you have mommy brain! :p

Di:: Sorry you weren't into STS this morning. Sounds like something I would say and not you. Are you glad you pushed through it or wish you had done something different?

Laura:: Sounds like you deserve a rest day! Enjoy those cabs! I plan to join you as I do every weekend so Cheers!:)

Ok off to wash dishes and tidy up a bit since the cooking I did today + taking Joey to the park after school left me no time for house work!:eek:
After dinner we are off to Kohl's yet AGAIN! This time we have Kohls cash we earned from our last trip and the same coupon that are good at the same time to use! WOOT!:D
