Today will be another set of upper body 1rm's and I hope to do the other half of MIST as well.

Better get movin'...having a hard time dragging my a$$ out of bed as of late so I don't have as much chill time before working out. :rolleyes:

O.k....so apparently there is a thing called "after marathon blues" and I had it yesterday. It can go on for a few days or a couple of weeks but I feel o.k today. I was just so blah yesterday. I didn't really care to talk to anyone and boy...did DS put me through the ringer. I wasn't sure if it was him or me...but I think it was him. Right from the time he got up. If he didn't get his own way he would hit me and he wanted his way alot yesterday, which meant lots of hits for me and lots of time outs for him. That with the lack of sleep could have been why I was feeling the way I was feeling. Hopefully today will be a better day. I am going to work so I won't be home to get bullied by my 3 yr old.

So today is day 3 of my rest. Not sure how many I am going to take. My BIL is telling me I need a week of rest. I could probably manage but you all know thats gonna be tough for me. But at the same time I am sure my body needs and deserves it. It will be easy to take rest the next 2 days b/c I am working but I may doing something on Fri or Sat. I bought 4 new workouts yesterday. One of them I picked up at walmart yesterday, it was Jari Loves ripped 1000. And I ordered 3 from collage.

Wendy** I may look it to the Kelly ones as well. I also thought about the tonique ones you were doing as well. I wanted something weight related and something different from cathes approach. I have all of Cathes weight workouts. I suppose I could do STS again b/c I only did it one time through. I looked yesterday and its only 138 days until the next marathon that I registered for. Which means training is suppose to start in 12 days! I am going to wait though and start at the 5th or 6th week. I don't need to start from the beginning.

Diana** That does seem expensive for a half. I can't believe we pay to be part of this....LOL....they should be paying us! haha! I think the full marathon was only $80. The trip wasn't that expensive b/c I didn't do any shopping for myself. I probably only spent $800 or so. I also think Bob is yummy!!!!! Thought I was the only one!;)

5 upper body 1RM's and the other half of MIST is done. I also did 100 inner thigh lifts per leg. No abs today as they were included in MIST. My glutes are still ablazin' from my work out the other day! :D

Hi Ladies,

I posted a book last night so go check it out.

I'm planning a short run this morning, 3-4 miles. No laughing Lori, I'm sure this is only a warmup for you. I also plan on doing a HIIT or Insanity w/o later today. It is cardio day and I'm working from home.:D Oh yeah, serious doms in the legs and chest this morning...just what I was going for.

Wendy-go read my post from last night if you have a chance. I just started Ms. Fit's weight program but will keep STS in mind. I actually took a sleep aid last night and slept great, and feel much better this morning.

Lori-sorry ds was a pill yesterday. He will grow out of this hitting stage, hopefully sooner rather than later. I think a full week of rest is definitely warranted. I'm looking at another half that's in town but its not until October. The weather is iffy in Oct., last year the weather was great, but the year I trained for it, it was raining on race day-yuck. I like Amy's slo-mo challenge, she's got an exercise called the hammie rocker..luv it!

Jacque-What are you up to today?

Laura-how did the election go..I'm guessing it was last night.

Hey Girls,

Back to report that I ran 5.07 miles this morning, and burned 710 cals. When I plugged my garmin into the computer I saw that the last time I used the garmin was in Aug last year. This is only the third time I've ran this year. For now I plan on following the 4 day wt training program from ms. fit and running at least 3 days per week. Mornings will be cardio and weights will be done during lunch at the rec ctr. I expect lots of DOM's....my body never hurt as bad as when following the ms. fit wt training rotation.

My goal is to lose 15lbs by Sept 1st, my 45th birthday. This may prove to be quite difficult as it took me 9 mos. to lose 17lbs on the WW program. I'm going to give it a shot. I will weigh and take measurements tomorrow morning and may actually have DH do the measurements for me.

Where is everyone today??? I'm not usually here during the day, but from home I can be here as much as I want!

Diana:: Good job on the run! I haven't run in almost a year now! :eek: I am not an outdoor runner by nature so having my only option be to hit the streets doesn't do it for me. Only did that b/c of races. If/when I can ever get my own TM or have time to go to the gym again I will probably try and pick it back up but by the same token I am not exactly missing it either. :confused:

Lori:: Tonique is not about weights. It's about super high reps. The weights she uses are 2#'s. They are great work outs but I don't want you to be mislead! Amy Bento puts out a pretty good weight work out but I can't remember the name of it. I really never use it coz I forget about it but it's a good one. I can give you the name when I get home later if you want!

I am sorrry I have been MIA ... the election was ystdy .. plus it was the FIRST of the month .. and it was INSANE in here .. I have been stressed out to the max about the election .. my brother won by over 1800 votes.. but still didnt get the 51% b/c there were so many people running .. sooooooo it is gonna be a run off :( another month of worry and stress and campaigning .. in the HEAT .. ugh .. the guy he is up against worked for my brthr ... got fired .. he is a lyer - cheat - and a PREACHER :eek: :mad: WTH???? he only worked w/the sheriff dept for a year and got fired .. but "has 26 years experience in PASTORIAL SERVICES" ... HTH does that qualify you to run for sheriff ??????????? :mad: ugh .. he actually made the statement that he wants to MINISTER to the county .. errrrrr .. I want someone to arrest someone who has done wrong or harm to me .. no minister to them!! UGH ... please some prayers that my brother beats the pants off this jerk!!!

DI ... SIL was uber freaked out about election - she has LOST SOOOO MUCH weight .. she had gained some back .. but man she is so stressed out she looks pitiful!! she said she is size 2 now and those pants are falling off of her .. no muscles in her upper body .. no boobs ... and now another month of stress and worry .. :(

soooooo tonight is my FIRST attemp at exercise and teaching ... I am planning on teaching tonight... gonna prbly do a short class .. lower body .. shaping .. no weights and see how it goes ... I did BUMBUM Sat .. and survived but have to stop when I start breathing hard ... it hurts .. plus cant really bend over or extend through abdomen and tric still hurts to support weight .. UG .. :( :( .. sooo WISH ME LUCK!!!! we will see how it goes!! I am feeling MUCH better though .. just feel FAT .. I think I found the weight SIL lost!! :mad:

Laura-wow, you have to wait a whole 'nother month...a run off....that sounds pretty stressful. Too bad SIL isn't dealing with it in a healthful manner. I'm not one to talk though as I am a "stress-eater".:( Hope you had a great class, even if you had to instruct more, and w/o less.

Wendy-I actually enjoyed my run this morning as the temps were cool and the skies were overcast. Running kept the weight off and I haven't found anything else that compares to it. Due to my feet issues I know long distances are out, but I would like to get back into to the best of my ability. Funny, I can't run on a treadmill!

Hiya Ladies !

Well DH made it home on Mon and I hit him with the carpet cleaner issue. He seems to have gotten it fixed but not until the evening time so no carpet cleaning. Trying to remember now what I really did? No workout, that much I remember.

Then just after midnite on Mon I woke with a headache and it lasted until last night - no workout again. This AM I was fine, put my clothes on to workout . . . was warming up and my legs are weak again. Am wondering if the allergy meds do that to me? DH is now starting the fire and I ate a few things so may see if I am any better. I am sooooo bloated and the scale is showing 5 lbs since last week? Hmmmmmm . . .

Wendy - guessing the rash went away? Will NOT check out the DVD cuz I can't spend any $. Don't post too many great things about it for a while, K? :p

Lori - such a great job you did - good to hear you enjoyed it to the point of wanting to do another race. Hope you can keep yourself in line and take a rest week . . . it probably would be a good thing. Especially if you'll start training for another in a few weeks. Can't help on the weight workouts - the only ones I have other than Cathe are Biggest Loser (very light weights and compound moves) and the Jackie Warner (one on one "I think"). Not heavy weights on that one either. I'm sure you'll find a few others - have you check the OD board or some of the rotations?

Diana - your Ms Fit looks like a great gym workout. Good to hear you got the DOMS you were looking for ! :eek: Sounds so funny that we work hard to get sore ! Like Laura always says "we are sick", LOL ! I only have a few workouts to do to finish up Summer 2010 and am not sure what I want to do but am thinking about running also. I really enjoyed the CCPP this weekend and it felt great. Perhaps this weekend I'll play a bit with what w/o's I have and figure out something. I'd like to get heavy weights in, perhaps every other week and the circuit or 2 FB's per week the other? And BBL for sure since I can't purchase Tonique yet.

Laura - well Woo Hoo on the 1800 votes. Hopefully those that didn't vote for the preacher the first time will be looking for experience which will work for your BIL. Sorry you have to wait so long though. Yee haw you are feeling better - hope your class went well for you tonight.

OK girlies - off to see if I can get some cardio in before dinner is ready. BB in the AM.
