Well my back DOMS is still there but definitely less intense. Trying to decide what work out to do today. I could start back up with the X but ofcourse now that I've taken the recovery week from it, I'm not sure that I want to! :p I have a new Jackie Warner weight vid that I might try....Also just thought of SS! Hey c'mon! It's been a while! ;) Whatever I decide to do weight wise for the next few weeks will be in conjunction with Shock Cardio and maybe some Insanity sprinkled in for good measure. HEHEH!

I'll be back to report my work out and to catch up on personals from y'day. Gotta go feed the boy before I do anything though!

Good Morning!:)

Went to bed at a half decent hour last night....soooo needed that!:) I think I went to bed around 11:30 on christmas night and every night since its been past 2 a.m before I have hit the sack. Both days I have needed a little cat nap. Im pretty sure i will make it through the day A O.K b/c I had a good solid 8 hours, if not more.

Im not sure if I was complaining to you guys or not but I haven't been feeling great the past week. I was thinking I had a sinus infection. I had alot of pressure in my head and nose but no drainage of any kind. Last night was the 1st night we haven't gotten into the hot tub and I feel fine today....Im wondering if its not the hot tub? Maybe I am allergic to the chemicals? Who knows. I did feel like it on Christmas eve though and I wasn't in the hot tub up to that point.

Yesterdays workout was CC#6. I wanted to do weights but I wasnt feeling it so I called it quits. DH and I had his parents and grandmother here for dinner so we had to go get stuff for that and i also went to the jewelry store and bought a beautiful pair of earrings out if the gc my boss gave me.

Wendy** Quickly...tell me which KB workout to get. Im gonna get the other 3 you suggested but I wouldn't mind buying a one of the KB workouts. Hope you have a good workout!

Laura** Sounds like you had a pretty crappy holiday! Isn't that the way it always works!? Ugh! glad to hear you are feeling better. What are your plans for New Years Eve? As to be something??

Diana** Yes, I am human! LOL I also took christmas eve off as well. Now if I had weight on I probably would have forced myself to do something but I have been pretty good over the holidays. And Im not even depriving myself. I eat whatever and drink whatever but whatever I eat is usually shoved in my mouth at record speed b/c DS wants me to do something with him! Oh...i long for the day where I can eat in peace!

Does anyone know what their workout plans are for the New Year? Im thinking about doing another STS rotation.

I will bbl! Not sure what todays plans are. Im gonna get my workout in sooner then later though.

Decided to do Jackie Warner's Power Circuit this morning. Good work out-40 minutes. Thought about doing some cardio afterwards but opted out of it. I am not taking my rest day this week b/c I don't know how much exercise I will do in A/C so I didn't want to over do it today. Tmrw it's back to shock cardio and the start of an SS/SC rotation! :D

Lori:: The only MMA vid I did is MMA Boxing. I got thru about 15 mins of Fusion but got frustrated with a move and shut it off. I haven't done kickbox at all yet. That being said I can't really say which MMA to buy though I did LOVE the one I did!!!! Oh I hope you aren't getting a sinus infection! I remember the one I had all too well. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laura:: FEEL BETTER FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diana:: Glad you enjoyed Athletic Step. I would probably get frustrated and turn it off. lol Enjoy your stay with DS and the rest of your time with the GD's!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I plan on getting in my w/o in when the girls go down for their nap. I previewed the kickbox w/o yesterday so I'm leaning towards that one. I really need to get weights in today also but not sure if I will have time. We are going to my MIL's for dinner tonight.

Wendy-well you definitely need to be in the mood to learn a new step routine. I took me about an hour for the 44 min w/o as I do a lot of rewinding until I get each section down. Glad you liked your new workout. Which workout gave you the nice back DOMs?

Lori-I hope you're not coming down with something. Jacque and I are planning on doing another STS rotation for the new year. I probably won't start until the second week of January as I will be in Oregon until the Jan 6th. Do you plan on doing the 1 rep max test again? I think I will just start out with the same weights I used for the first round and adjust if needed.

Hey Ladies:).....although it just seems to be me and Wendy here yet!:rolleyes:

I started tiding up the house earlier and doing laundry so I didn't start my workout until 12'ish. I had a number of breaks so it seemed like I was working out forever!!! Even DH said "Holy long workout":confused: I ended up doing MIS UB work, then got DS's lunch. Then I did a circuit workout using the TM and LIS weight work. I have only done LIS a handful of times so the weight work was totaly new to me. Then I did some of 4DS legs. My run was about 4 miles. I also did the core work in LIS. Now that I covered everything tomorrow will be just straight cardio. I didn't have anything else to do today, so it was just as well i work out:) I have to work the next 2 days, then going to my parents on New Years day and then another party on the 2nd. That should be it then! LOL

Wendy** I think I will get the one you suggested then. I asked DH about buying them and he really didn't care what I did:) Its nice sometimes but I wish he would have an opinion when it comes to my purchases! LOL He probably really wants to say "You should have bought those workouts instead of the insanity ones" He knows I haven't used them that much. I have a few workouts here I could get rid of but they are all on VHS. No one uses that anymore. I never use the BB series...EVER! If they were on dvd I would try selling them on ebay. If I knew I could get $30 for them I probably would.

I may bbl! We don't have any real plans tonight. We will probably get in the hot tub when DS goes to bed.

Diana** I guess we were posting at the same time. It took me a little while to write that b/c DS was all over me:confused: Ugh! I never did do the 1RM thing. I probably should have though. I thought 3 months was a bit long but I was also doing it in the summer time and I was running alot and was finding it hard to squeeze everything in. It may be easier this time of year. Hope you are enjoying you GD's!

Hey Ladies,

I just finished MM and MMA Kickbox. I opted to skip cardio today if need be. Since I had time I threw in the Kickbox workout. I'm not a huge fan of it...yet. It's really just a warmup, 3 combo's and some ab work. I did rewind a couple times to get the moves down. It wasn't much of a calorie burner either...but once I know the routine and can properly execute the moves I'm sure the calorie burn will go up.

The girls are very good for the most part. One of them was really tired last night and bit her sister...and also pinched her cheek. They even know when they are naughty and go stand in the corner and cry without anyone saying anything to them. Then when they stop crying they come and say sorry and give a hug to their sister.

Lori-Is BB Barry's Bootcamp? If so, you should give them a try. I think you would like them, well the upper body ones at least. The cardio is short but very effective.
 
Hey there ladies !

Well now that my last payroll of the year is finished (after a 12 hour day !:eek: - without a break no less . . . ) I hope I can cut back on the extra hours a bit. Was a wee bit irritated to find out that my assistant had enough energy and felt good enough to drive 45 minutes a week after her surgery to attend a Xmas party at our mfg. site. I couldn't go because I was busy getting her work done while she is on disability. Funny the report was she was walking around just fine - right after she emailed me that she was very sore and couldn't walk very far. I'm not quite sure I'm not being taken for a ride here.

Diana - I know you said I shouldn't make decisions on medical issues and I agree - but amazing at all the shopping, partying, baking and running around one can do when they are getting paid while they are off. And for so many people to tell me how wonderful she is doing at walking around . . . makes me wonder since she tries to hide so many other things from me. Ah well, made it through today and will move on tomorrow.

Wendy - thanks for the well wishes - I am trying to just keep going - hard being very positive at this point - but I will get through all this. Good to hear you are doing better yourself. Wish I was closer and would love to GTG and have one of your famous martinis ! I don't typically drink hard liquor but right now . . . :rolleyes: Can't wait for a little more time to give the SC's a go round. Some where I WILL FIND THE TIME SOON ! :p

Diana - great to hear you are having loads of fun with the girls. Is DS still there too? LOL at them going to stand in the corner before they are disciplined ! :p That is just too funny ! :D Seems I read that Cathe will post a STS/SC rotation once the DVD's have all been shipped. Guessing it may be a Jan rotation. I'm sure I won't be ready to start this coming weekend so think it would be fun for us to start together when you are ready. I'm thinking I've lost a lot of strength due to not lifting for 2 months - not in the mood to redo 1RM so will wing it the best I can for the STS workouts. I really liked the Athletic Step (only one I have done so far). Bummed about your review on the KB. :confused: Once we get back on track we should figure out the hotel situation too before the rooms are all booked, yes? ;)

Lori - so happy you are enjoying your hot tub. Mine ended up with boo koo rainwater in it and is a tad dirty. Bro and boys went in it anyway, but I think perhaps with all my stiffness/nerve issues it would be heavenly to get it cleaned out this weekend and ready to jump into ! :p I love it on cold days. I remember the issues my DH and DD had too. At least it was only a fight about noise and not anything worse. Respect is a necessity though and sounds like DD needs a little lesson? Hope this coming weekend goes a little better for you.

Laura - poor thing you. Sorry you got the 'crud' but hope you feel better soon. At least you got some fun toys - LOL at a golf cart to take the "furbabies" around in. That would be some great pics, huh? ;) Am right there with ya in not working out. Can't wait for a New Year workout start again. Guess that would be a great resolution - workout again ! :p

Jen - hope you are enjoying your time off ! I'm thinking you are still getting your workouts in, good girl ! ;)
