Good Morning Girls.

I have no personals to catch up on so this will be brief.

Today is my recovery day so it'll be either Cardio or Max Recovery depending on how much torture I am in the mood for. :p

I am off from work today so I will be taking a ride up to my girlfriend's office this morning to have her notarize something for me. Other then that, I have nothin' goin' on but the usual housework n stuff. Thrilling, right? :rolleyes:

Oh and my chest? It's FLAMING after yesterday's chest work out. Holy cow! :eek:

Good Morning!

I worked last night and Im not sure why I am up so early!:confused: I just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep...so here I am. Thats o.k though cause I have to go into work this afternoon for a couple of hours and then back to work tonight so in order to get my workout in, I needed to get a earlier start to my day. Im only up 1 hr earlier then normal but Im sure that will make a difference to my day!

Yesterday was a rest day b/c I did 18 kms on sunday. My running partner is working today so I will be packing DS up within the next hr and we get our run over with...I make it sound as if he is doing something;)

When I woke up yesterday I didn't think I had anything to do and boy, did my day ever fill up! I was soooo exhausted by the time I got to sit down but Im promising myself that today won't be like that! Im going to workout, tidy the house, work and make supper...thats it...no extras in there and even when I am at work I plan on doing nothing:rolleyes:

I am trying to decide if I should take the personal trainers course. DH thinks its a good idea. I think it would be something I would really enjoy. In the beginning I guess I would keep working at my job and go from there. Its $1440 which isn't to bad actually. I can make a down payment and then make monthly payments if I want. Its a 9 month course, but I can take as long as I wish to finish it. I guess I will make my mind up in the next couple of days.

Wendy** Enjoy your recovery day! Im hoping Insanity arrives this week but I have kinda forgot about it. That way I should get it in no time, if I forget. The website as been updated and as of Sun it was in the next province so it shouldn't take to long to get here now. I should have it by the end of the week.

I am going to try and catch up on personals. DH's laptop is actually working in the basement and DS is watching Shamu...AGAIN!

Hey Ladies.

When I woke up this morning I had a slight sore throat. I didn't think anything of it as sometimes it just from being thirsty after not having drank anything all night and/or sleeping with my mouth open. Well, it's now almost 3 hours later and it's still there. :mad: Beyond that I am feeling a bit run down as well. I took vitamin C this morning so hopefully that helps. I think I will take a nap here in a bit and see how I feel when I wake up. My Recovery day will become a complete rest day if I don't feel better by lunch time. Time will tell...*fingers crossed*...I really don't want to take a complete rest day today. I had decided that I would do Cardio Recovery and one body part from GS (probably do the 2nd round of back) this morning. It would totally figure if I end up doing NOTHING now. :rolleyes:

So would you eventually look to make a career change and become a PT if you took the course? ITA, once you forget about it, Insanity will arrive!

 
Good morning girls!

I must apologize for my scarceness (is that a word?) of late, but work was very busy yesterday and today promises to be the same. The day before hearings and the day of hearings are always busy, usually because of all the attorneys calling in the eleventh hour with solutions to their problems (the problems we've filed the motions on) in the hopes of getting their court hearing off the list :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: So that means we're scrambling, too! Last night I had to go to a wake for a friend whose dad died over the weekend :( By the time I got home and cooked supper, I just didn't have time to even read our thread!

I did PCC yesterday and GS Chest last night :)mad::mad::mad:Wendy!! For making me do this! Are you crazy?? ;):D;)) and I got up and did PC this morning. It was way better than it was on Friday, probably because I'm a bit rested compared to the way I feel at the end of the week. Still painful, but not quite as much as it was last week ;)

I know I've got a ton to catch up on and I'm hoping that I'll have some time when the boss leaves for hearings.

Wendy: Def get some rest and feel better quickly! My DD felt the same way last night but seemed to be okay this morning.

Lori: I think you'd be great as a PT! Go for it!

K, off to get some work done, but will bbl~

P.S. The staff attorney just complimented me and asked me if I've lost more weight! I think Insanity is working!! Woohoo! :D
 
Mornin' Ladies,

I'm having some bad luck. My car broke down on the way home from work...and it's in the shop. DH said it sounds like transmission and that could be $1000 or more. Not happy about that. The air conditioner is $3000. Good thing we held of on the air conditioner as I was planning on calling him yesterday to have him do the work.

I'm also here because I am stalling. I have this sick feeling that PC is the w/o today, tough tough tough for me.

Wendy-Hope you feel better soon. We have a large number of folks sick at work. Not sure if it's swine flu...but they are miserable. Nice job on the chest work yest.

Lori-I think you would make a great personal trainer. I say go for it. Would you do this in addition to your other job? Hope the weather holds out for your run today.

Jen-You snuck in on me...So it is Pure Cardio, Pure Torture, Pure Hell day! I had a feeling. Hope work lightens up for you.

Hiya ladies ! ! !

Ugh I'm feeling tired this AM and when I uploaded GWF it says I slept only 5 1/2 hours. For some reason it is showing 2 times thru the night where there is nothing logging at all and 2 times where I am not "sleeping" ? ? ? :rolleyes: For most of the night it is also showing 1.1 - 1.2 cals burned and that is higher than usual. Typically sleeping is .8 - 1.0 burn. Any of the rest of you seen this on yours? So not up early enough to workout - especially not to do PC ! :eek: Tomorrow I won't be home after work so better get a good night's sleep and do my workout in the AM.

Wendy - Woo hoo on the DOMS ! ! ! Guess you did plenty, huh? Sorry about the sore throat - crossing fingers for you that it disappears as fast as it appeared. Hope you got a nice long nap in.

Lori - Sounds like it is good that you woke a little early and will keep busy today. Get in a good run? ITA that you'd make a great trainer with all your energy ! Would you train at your place, the clients or do you have a gym nearby. Oh, and you could even advertise at your store????? ;)

Jen - Bummer that work has been busy for you - guessing the bad economy may be good for some law firms, sounds like yours is one of them? Hope you get a chance to breathe a little today. Great job on the compliment ! So nice when others notice. :p

Diana - Doggone that your car to a "dump" on you yesterday. Crossing fingers for you that it is much less than the tranny. I so dislike when I have little 'expenses' like that when they haven't been planned for. How'd PC go for you? I felt like CPR was easier for me yesterday the second time around. Hoping for an improvement in PC also.

Wendy (again) - ;) "Complaining" about workouts make me work harder - just my gig I guess. I am enjoying the hard workouts - very challenging and I feel great afterward ! I'm not sure I would consider them "fun", but really like them and will be using them in between any other rotations in the future I am sure. You feeling any better yet?

Off to work I go - BBL to see if Wendy is still YELLING at us ! :p
 
Wendy: Last time I checked, beating the crap out of your body repeatedly on a day to day basis was never meant to be FUN! Effective,YES, Fun, NO. :p And just cuz we're b*tchin' doesn't mean we aren't lovin' every crazy minute of it ;)

Jacque: I got up late today, too. Fortunately, though, these shorter workouts allow for that, and while I considered putting PC pff until tonight, I KNEW I wouldn't want to do it when I got home so I bit the bullet. Yep, this rotten economy has at least given me some job security for a while!

Diana: Sorry to break the news to you that it was PC today. I have to say, though, that it was a bit better the second time around. I did focus a little more on pacing myself today, rather than try to keep up with the likes to Tanya. That made a difference, I think. Managed the gd switch kicks though! Sorry to hear about the car troubles.

Wow! I see I got everyone riled up with my last post! Good! Now take that energy and put it into your next INSANITY work out! :D:D:D

Managed a 15-20 minute nap. Don't feel as sleepy as I did but can't say I feel any better. :confused: Thing is, I've been in the kitchen constantly this morning looking for food. WHY? Because I am BORED! If I am not going to work out then I need to do housework or something cause otherwise all I will do if effin' EAT! :eek: So either way I guess I won't truly be RESTING today. I'll just be resting from exercise...unless I REALLY start to feel like crap, then that'll be a different story.

I'll catch up on personals a bit later on...goin' to see what needs to be taken care of around here!

Well my work out is done. I took some ibuprofen and ended up feeling better so after lunch I tackled 4DS Back work and then moved on to Cardio Recovery. I am done and feel good. :)

Gotta jet to pick up DS now but I'll be back to catch up on personals a bit later!

Hello Ladies ..

I was out yesterday w/stone .. but feeling almost 100% today :D:D:D:D SUN felt bad .. I managed to crank out PCC & PC&R this weekend :D .. had one day of FORCED rest .. but feeling much more myself today .. and ready for a kickarse w/o .. SIL subbed for me last night ... tonight I am gonna teach 4 step plyo class w/core torture to end!!!!

Wendy .. hope the not feeling good is NOT the flu .. YIKES .. sounds like you might be feeling better though .. good .. just dont overdo it!!!

Lori .. I think you would be a GREAT PT ... you are motivating .. super fit .. and energized!!! Go for it girlie!!

Jen .. I have been "scarse" too .. I cant seem to get to the computer on the weekends ..

Di .. sorry for the car repair woes .. oooohh we just had to replace the tranni in DH Ford 250X deisle .. YA .. BAAAAD $$$$$$$$!!!!

Jacque .. LOL ... I know a B### at lot about the HARD kick arse w/os .. but we all know we all LOVE IT .. and wouldnt have it any other way .. LOL!!!

Hi Girls,

I sat in a meeting from 9:30 to 12:30 and I was starving by the time we got outta there. I ended up missing my 2nd meal and went straight to my lunch. It was a veggie salad with an albacore steak, (bumble bee brand)..it was delicious. Topped that off with some cantaloupe.

I just got back from my walk, the temp is beautiful. Talked to DH while I was walking and it's not the tranny..TG, its the ignition module...I don't know what that is but it's only going to cost in $500 range. Although I hate car repair expenses, this is doable for us.

Wendy-Glad you are feeling better. I know, I'm a whiner. I pretty much sucked the last two times I did this w/o which is why I had the dread factor going on this morning. Actually, it wasn't as bad as I was anticipating and I'm improving ever so slightly on the switch kicks!

Jacque-I can't keep the acronyms all straight, but I think CPR is my favorite, except for the level 1 drills. I do have times when the GWF doesn't measure anything during the night...I don't mean anything, but a several minutes or more of nothing. Not sure if gets out of synch, the metal pieces lose contact with my arm or what. My sleep is awful. I've been uploading my data on regular basis buthaven't had a chance to do any analysis.

Laura-so glad you finally passed that darn stone. I'm so sorry you have to suffer through these. Hope you have a great class tonight.

Hi Girlie Girls!

So much for me not having another busy day, although it wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday...it was still busy!

I did PH UB and a 60 mins run with DS. It was just the 2 of us and I didn't even tak a Ipod b/c I didn't think I would be gone that long. It was very windy but I started with the wind at my back so it wasn't to bad:D

I received a call today from Canada Post...I thought this was a little strange. They were wondering if I received my parcel yet b/c it should have arrived by now. Dh told him that it hadn't and they were trying to track it down:mad: Now...where TH is it? It will probably arrive tomorrow. I just think Canada Post is the worst for logging stuff into a computer.

Wendy** I had the sniffles last week. I had a sore throat for 2-3 days and then my cold didn't really amount to much. Hoppefully your cold won't be to bad. I agree...there is a awful lot of complaining going on around this joint! :)

Jen** I have some catching up to do as well but now I realize that I will never catch up! I can see why you didn't workout last night. Being surrounded by people who just lost a loved one is very draining.

Diana** Sorry for all the car blues:confused: Just go out and buy yourself a new one;) Hope you enjoy your workout tonight.

Jacque** DH had a great idea about the PT stuff. He figures he could build a peice on to the business and I can work in the back. It would probably be a good idea but it would also cost alot of money...more then a new tooth! LOL I haven't gotten a chance to read up on anything else. The course takes atleast 9 monthes to complete but I can do it at my own speed and take a little longer if need be.

Laura** So you passed the stone? Or is it floating around in your bladder? :confused: You still had some good workouts this weekend!

Alright so I am back to work again but am not staying alnight. I get to go home when my flight is gone, which should be around 9'ish! Yippee!

Hello Again.

Dinner is done and half cleaned up. I wanted to sit down and have my coffee before I finished though so :p on that sink full of dishes. It can wait 15 minutes! :D

So as I posted earlier, I ended up feeling fine. I took ibuprofen when I woke up from my nap and I guess it worked like a charm. I still feel good. I did 4DS back only (ff'd through the chest work allowing myself a little rest time in between back exercises) and then moved on to Cardio Recovery. I really like the Recovery work outs. They are a nice mix of stretching and strength work out. I like feeling like I've really DONE something even though it's RECOVERY. As for why I chose 4DS back work instead of repeating GS back...just felt like it is all. :)

Tomorrow calls for Pure Cardio/Cardio Abs and then I will take the Centergy class in the evening. I am opting out of GS for tmrw as it would mean doing a work out morning/noon/night and that's a bit much....even for me! ;)

As promised, I did NOT get on the scale this morning after last night's debacle! I had 2 choco martinis on an already higher cal then it should be day and topped it off with a homemade protein bar I had made earlier and wanted to try! The martinis and the protein bar all rang in at about 200 cals a pop! :eek: I am doing well today though so tmrw I will get back on the scale and see where I'm at. :)

Jen:: So how's your chest feeling? Is it ON FIRE like mine is!? :eek: I am noticing that all of the month 1 work outs are a tad easier then they were initially...even PC and those darned switch kicks! :p Glad your DD felt better by morning. I hope I don't feel like crap again tmrw morning cause I am back to work tmrw.

Diana:: Tell the sick people at your job to go the hell home!!! They don't need to be infecting everyone! All it takes is one sick person coming in and he/she will infect the entire office. :rolleyes: Glad the car repair isn't quite as pricey as you had initially thought. That's always a good thing. No worries about the whining. I was only teasing you girls. I know how tough the work outs are and TRUST me, I'm not beyond complaining about it either! :D

Jacque:: Okay okay so they are not EXACTLY 'fun' work outs. :p They are kickin' our azzes and we love it though, right? ;)

Laura:: Glad you passed that nasty stone and that you are feeling better finally. Did not over do it today. I felt perfectly fine by the time I worked out. :)

Lori:: Take your time making the decision about the PT gig. I rushed into it with out thinking it through and it ended up pretty much going to waste. My cert expired this past July and the only people I ever trained were my BF and her co-worker for $15 or $20 an hour. :rolleyes:

Well, that catches me up! Time to wash those dishes I suppose...LOL

Hello ladies!

Well, I got my GS Back work in tonight, cleaned the house a bit, made some salmon for myself for dinner, and am just sitting down in front of the t.v. for a bit before SO shows up.

Laura: I hate when real life gets in the way of my cyber life ;) My weekends have been rather busy lately, too, and I'm looking forward to one where I really have nothing to do! There's a lot of stuff I need to catch up on around here.

Diana: Ugh...meetings :rolleyes: Does it ever end? Glad to hear the car repairs aren't going to be quite as bad as you expected. Your lunch sounds delish! And healthy too.

Jacque: Did you manage to get that hellish workout in tonight?

Lori: I can't believe the trouble you're having getting that darn package delivered! We're all going to be done with our rotation before it even shows up at your door, I think :p Yeah, I always seem to be "running behind the eight ball" and never seem to be ahead of anything :rolleyes:

Wendy: I have some nice DOMS in my chest today, though I fear they're going to be worse tomorrow! Glad to hear you're feeling better today after the ibuprofen. I gave DD some Tylenol Allergy last night and that seemed to kick it. Like you, I'm hoping the same for tomorrow. No worries about last night's indulgence. You're doing great and I think it helps psychologically to give in once in a while. It revs you up to be compliant again. I'm enjoying some wine tonight knowing I've "only" got Cardio Recovery and shoulders on tomorrow ;)

Well I'm back after finishing up PC. My hams and calves are sore and tight and when doing those switch kicks after bending down I can't seem to straighten my legs cuz the hams are tight ! :confused:

It wasn't any easier but seemed to be over quicker so I'll take that one to the bank ! :eek:

Jen - LOL at your response to Wendy the AM ! Hee hee - I figured she was tryin' to get a rise out of us as I giggled to myself. Well good you did PC this AM so you could do GS tonight. I still haven't gotten an UB workout in yet cuz I'm just too dang pooped to party with my UB after Insanity. Perhaps I should do them in the AM when I don't want to get too sweaty and I can cut them short? Hmmmm . . . :rolleyes: That might work better since I'm not getting up early enough or too tired lately. Yum the salmon sounds delish - thinking I need to go pick some of that up - perhaps for this weekend. Ummmmmm - for some reason I have PCC on tap for tomorrow . . . :confused: You doing a different rotation?

Wendy - good to hear you're doing better and thanks for the kicker in the azz. I do really love these workouts - especially when they are finished for the day ! :p

Diana - Cool that the car is not as bad as you thought - $500 is much easier to stomach than $1,000. I have had a few short breaks before but this was 2 times for an hour a piece. And I check at lunch to find out it showed a higher cal burn while I was "sleeping" than walking around during the day ! I know I've been having hot flashes at night so wonder if the higher body temp is creating a false record of me not sleeping? :confused: Perhaps I'll post on the OD and see if anyone else has experienced the same. I will take the extra cal burn though. :rolleyes:

Lori - Boy are you dedicated running in the wind. Nice job on the run. And I complain about US post office? Hmmmmm . . . perhaps they do that type of thing to validate their constant increases ! :p Well that would be a nice thing to be able to have your own place to train. Definitely something to consider . . .

Okie dokie - needing to clean this sweat off me now ! Am looking forward to my grilled tri tip dinner, YUMMY ! :D
