Morning.

Well I wanted to work out this morning (even though I was already a day overdue for a rest day) but ended up being up for about 30 mins in the middle of the night. It was enough to cause me to reset my alarm and roll over. Things happen for a reason? Blessing in disguise? I'm thinking maybe so! ;)

I was last to post last night so nothing to catch up on. Gonna finish my foffee and hit the showers.

Good Morning Ladies,

I slept great last night except for a small interuption, but quickly went back to sleep. My calves are sore from KB/BC yesterday...all that jumping around must be good for something..right!

Oh No, Miss Wendy didn't work out today...that's my motiviation. I will figure something out. My knee is still a bit twingy but it is getting better. I really want to do a step w/o but am afraid of a setback. I also happened to flip the calendar and realized that my Holiday Meltdown class starts on Monday. I need to be ready for all the running, and stair running next week.

HHmmm, maybe the first half of MIC, an oldie but quite tough IMO. It was one of my first Cathe w/o's and I would do MIS/MIC back to back on the weekends. I remember looking forward to it too. I'm not sure if it's due to age, but the high impact...and don't forget how hard it is, MIC just collects dust now.

Diana:: MIS and MIC back to back? Seriously?? :eek::eek::eek: WOW! I did MIC not that long ago and it nearly killed me! :eek: I couldn't imagine doing it w/anything else! HOLY COW! :D So what work out did you decide on for today? Don't worry...tmrw you will have your inspiration back! ;):) What I wanna know is who is gonna work out at 4am so that they can inspire ME for my 5am work out? :D

Good morning ladies !

Well I have changed my middle name to "Tired" lately. So tired I have definitely not gotten out of bed to workout in the AMs. Y'day was outta the house before 7 AM anyway, this AM was a sleep in since we were out last night. Woo Hoo the Sharks won their first home game ! Played well, FINALLY!

So afterwork will be my 4DS KB workout. Can't wait !

Wendy - well then hope today was a great rest day for you since you did SM y'day. I'd love to see some of the other workouts you ladies are doing but can't get my behind in to even try all the BH's (which y'all dropped like hot potatos - by the way . . . :p) Then guess Cathe's new ones will be out soon? Haven't check the OD lately at all. LOL but I surely don't think you could count on me to motivate you or I'd be working out at 12 AM or so ! Ha ! I could, however, post my workouts for the evening before I go to bed by opening the thread before midnight - let me know . . . :eek: ;)

Diana - sounds like a nice "work at home day" for you. Good to hear you are feeling better and getting things accomplished. I'm crossing fingers you get out of the condo trip - totally understand, especially since you haven't been feeling well, missed workouts and have been working hard. Would be nice to relax in the comforts of you own home with no "have to do's" (which for me is "entertaining and cooking" for the DH !). We've finally had the heater go on the past couple of mornings - yet another reason to stay in bed rather than get up to workout ! :D

Lori - you've done great with your tests. Set yourself some realistic goals and go for it. When I took my HR certification I had classes on Mon nights, read a couple nights per week and set aside Sat AM for completing my reading and doing practice tests. Worked well. Schedule that time like you schedule work and make the family adhere to your schedule. In the long run when you open your business everyone will benefit from you being able to set your own hours (to an extent at least) so pay a little ahead and it pays off bigger in the end.

Laura - keeping busy lately? First of the month hitting you at work I suppose. Big game this weekend? Guess now that they are in first they have to keep it up . . . sometimes being behind is less stressful? :rolleyes: How is SIL doing?

Jacque:: Funny you should mention the BH work outs. I am just not into them for some reason. Have no desire to try the rest of them or to do the 2 I've tried again. I was impressed with the intensity/difficulty of the 2 I tried but I guess I just didn't have any fun. I will probably add them to the list of dvds I need to unload, which, btw, at Diana's request, I will be PM'ing all of you a list of what I am getting rid of soon so that you girls can have first shot at something if you want it. Soooo, if you are interested at all, keep an eye out for that PM! Hopefully I can do it this weekend! If your starting the thread before you hit the sack the night before will help to keep you checking in with us then by all means, I have no problem with it! Lori and I will just have to pay closer attn in the wee hours of the morning when looking to see if anyone started the thread before we do! :D Only thing I ask it to please remember to use the following day in the title or you will surely confuse us all! :p
 
Friday Eve .. woohoo

Ystdy was our employee appreciation day .. went to a park in Dothan, AL .. it was nice .. we got to walk a nature trail (wish I had brought shorts and tank) .. it was freaking 90 degrees and 100% humidity .. OMG .. it was terrible .. we were DRENCHED ... me and 2 others took what we thought was regular nature trail .. :eek: .. NOT .. OK .. at one point I thought we were really lost .. it was supposed to be a mile trail .. well about 2 3/4 miles I was thinking OMG I am gonna have to call 911 ... can u imagine .. "991 what is your emergency? ummm errr .. we are lost in middle of park dont have a clue where we are .. but in back woods in the middle of nowhere .. come get us .. wwaaaaaaaahhhhh :confused:" ..:eek: but we finally found our way out .. LOL ... when I say TRAIL .. umm ya think DEER TRAIL .. not HUMAN trail we were following .. LOL .. GEESH .. but it was nice for some good sweaty calorie burn!!! Then we got to FEAST steak and shrimp .. AWESOME!!! We looked like we had been thru car wash w/no dryer .. but hey .. it was all good!!

Lori ... hey .. no worries if you ever do a marry again .. girl .. you rocked TWO .. how many people can say that??? NOT MANY AT ALL .. you may become a famous personal trainer now ... just remember all us Damage Control girlies when you hit it big!! ;) .. weather .. OH MY -2 .. and here we are in shorts at a very humid 90 .. ugh

Di .. I kind thought some of that windy weather was gonna get you .. we got storms .. heavy air and storms ..UGH..but tmrw supposed to be cooling off .. yayayayayaya

Jacque .. OH NO .. I have not given up on BH .. I LOVE his workouts ... they are tuff and a major muscle and calorie burnout!! I still do them on weekends when I can .. and yes football .. Auburn #1 for now .. and that puts huge target on our back .. we play Ole Miss this weekend ... they are tuff too .. so gonna be another hard one .. nailbiter!!! WAAARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!! congrats on the Sharks win!! woot woot!!

SIL: well .. went to specialist today .. diagnosis: Graves Disease .. he is upping her meds BOTH of them .. and wants to shrink the thyroid some b-4 treatment .. then she is scheduled in about 2 weeks to go back and do the radiation burnout ... then she will be on hormones .. DB went w/her ..so he heard it w/his own ears .. she is NOT to exercise at all .. her heart rate was 161 bpm .. and blood pressure was 180 over 60 .. she said she tried to convince him she could but he was stern and so absolutely NO .. and she went on and on about getting fat and being a bowl of jello :( *sigh* .. at least DB will hold her to the NO exercise .. but I am worried about her not taking meds ... ??? .. IDK .... keep her in your prayers that she follows dr orders and takes meds!

OK ... so tonight is PLYO class .. or either PLYO 4 step class (minus pushups) .. So what is everyone doing for Halloween????? I am invited to costume party .. DH still on long hours .. but the party @ close friends house down road .. I plan on watching my Auburn play (and hopefully WIN) game at 5:00 .. then going on the the party .. for a while at least .. DH wont like it at all though!!! oh well .. ok .. have a great one!:D
 
Laura:: Hugs and prayers goin' out to SIL (and you and DB too!)!!!!!!!! Hey, stuff like that happens where folks get lost hiking "trails". You are quite lucky you didn't truly find yourself in serious trouble! How scarey that must've been to think you were really lost! :eek: I am soooo looking forward to my work out tmrw and soooo want to cheat and w/o tonight-but I won't! :p I think I am just really enjoying my current rotation of mostly just flat out FUN cardio! :D Yes it's hard work but I am doing work outs that I truly enjoy and when my weights day rolls around it's a nice change of pace w/some great DOMS to follow!:)

ETA:: We are going to a Halloween party on Saturday night. One of DH's cousin's has one pretty much every year and we always try to go since most of his family is there too. Fun. :)

Hey Girls,

I had to run home at lunch and thought I would pop in while I'm here. I ended up doing 45 mins of the hour long Double Cardio premix of Drill Max. You basically do each cardio segment twice and then move to the next cardio segment and so on. Since I was a bit short on time, I skipped the 3rd cardio (the one with the stability and not my favorite) and did the rest, even added on the squat thrust/tuck/jump on step etc drill at the end of the 6th cardio!

I also stopped at my weigh in and am down 4.6lbs. I'm sure that mainly has to do with being sick the last few days, but I'll take. It's good motivation to continue eating better.

I purchased Tosca's new book, Your Best Body Now and plan on taking up to the mountains with us. The weather is supposed to be okay up there and hopefully the roads will be plowed and maybe even the snow melted before we get up there. We are leaving tomorrow night and Jerod and I are coming home on Sunday. DH will be staying until Wednesday or Thursday. His cousin is coming up to keep him company.

Jacque-hey girl, glad you could check in. I know you tried to change to morning w/o's, but if evenings are better for you then you should just stick with that. Now that it's hockey season...maybe morning's would be better.;) I'm sure our early birds would love to see your w/o's when they get up in the morning. As far as BH goes, I've only done the Cardio and the Weight w/o, haven't even previewed the other two.

Laura-too funny about being lost in the woods. If your DB heard about this you would never hear the end of it I'm sure!:D If your DH doesn't want to go to the party for Halloween, so be it. He's working nights, not you...go enjoy the party for a bit and maybe DH will want to join you if only for a short time. Hugs for DSIL. Graves Disease is completely treatable. I'm not sure why she wouldn't want to take the necessary meds.

Hey Girls!

I have been kept going all day but not really in a bad way. I went to my friends house at 6....I know...on my day off!!!! One of the only mornings I get to sleep in but oh well. Anyway....back by 7:30 and I went for a 6.5k run outside and it poured. When I got home I did MM. It was nice to do a full body weight workout. Back to work tomorrow for the weekend.

I am not sure what we are doing for Halloween b/c I am on call all weekend. We are invited to three different parties but I am hoping to get a flight and not have to go to any of it! LOL

Wendy** So no workout today? Maybe that's why you didn't take your rest day yesterday...who knows???:eek: That's why I never plan a rest day cause something usually comes up. But I think with these early morning workouts sessions and me having to go to work may take a toll on my own exercise. I will just workout harder when I have the time. Is Joey getting excited about halloween? I think DS will make it further then the front lawn this time:p

Jacque** Hopefully you will get to catch up on some z's this weekend. Thanks for the advice on the studying. I should put that to good use. I just need to get into a routine and I don't really want to put it to one side until after christmas. I would like to get started on it now. I have a feeling I will be doing some stuff this weekend at work.

Laura** LOL....employee appreciation? Were they trying to kill you guys? Our weather was lovely here today. I can't believe Nov is around the corner. I guess you guys are atleast realived that you have some answers re SIL. Hopefully she will abide by the rules!

Diana** I haven't done MIC in a loooong time. I did Imax 3 the other day for the first time in a while and I don't know if I was having a bad day or if I am just not use to interval training anymore...but I was pooped and I found it HARD! I may go back to do some cathe workouts now that the mary is over and I am not training for anything. Good job with your workout today!!

O.k...I still want to catch up yesterdays thread but don't have time right now. Maybe after dinner!
