Hi Girls!

Today is my rest day. I will likely do a stretch vid like Recharge or Stretchmax. It will help to satisfy the urge to work out as well as add the extra stretching into my routine that it tends to lack. I'm feelin' a bit of DOMS this morning so that is yet another good reason for an extra stretch! :)

Jacque: Don't ya hate when you SWEAR you've made some positive gains/losses only to get on the scale, use the omron or measure and have it all shattered in just moments!?!? It happens to me all the time lately!!!!!:eek: :mad: Glad your legs are feeling better. DOMS is great but I can only take so much of it. Severe DOMS is just no fun! :eek: Yeah my knees are not happy with all of the high impact from Chalean's cardio (which I LOVE!) and now the cardio intervals I've added to the weight work outs. Good thing is that I do not plan to do intervals with the weight work for all 3 work outs PLUS both of Chalean's cardios in the same week. I'm going to mix it all up in addition to the EXT and running to try and limit the jumping atleast a little bit. I would like to keep Burn Intervals in the rotation as much as possible so the lower impact options she offers are going to come in handy.

Oh and BTW, now I am considering doing NROL4W as opposed to the X once I finish CLX. I've had that book for ages and started it once but was turned on to something else within only a week or 2 and haven't attempted it since! Decisions Decisions!!! :eek:
 
I've decided to re-start my Glucosamine regimen as of this morning. I swear it's helped me in the past when I've had "cranky" knees. I am horrible at remembering to take pills though so girls, if you could, REMIND ME to take it every day please!!! :p

Soooo very happy we are at the end of the work week and off to some fun for the weekend ! Have the baby shower for upcoming GS and then a hockey game to go to on Sat. Sun will be the usual "chore day" but that will be OK after I have had some fun ! :p

Had a chat with my bro last night (his bday was Wed) and he was telling me they had 12 feet of snow in Idaho (near Coeur d'Alene) just in the month of Dec alone. Told him about you ladies who have been getting loads yourselves.

Wendy - ITA with disappointment at trying to make a difference - then again, with all the fluctuation our bods have I try not to let it affect me too much. I am learning to go with the flow and to try to look at the visual differences and strength gains more. Guess that is what happens when you get older - eventually you just accept it ! ;) I'll just keep on keepin' on with my exercisin' ! :D

I started the glucosamine again this week also for the shoulder aches. They are feeling pretty good the last couple of days - who knows if that is it or not, but I'll take it. I liked NROL4W but kind of missed muscle focused exercises since most of them are compound. A few gave me aches in the joints but all in all - I got stronger. I only stuck with it for about a month or a bit longer and then got 'bored' with it. I could possibly go back to it one of these days for something different since I am following through with STS. Perhaps I am creating better dedication to longer programs?

Well today is Back & Biceps and I'll try to do a short run most likely if I have the time. Have errands to run which I may do at lunch and then need to get the "baby stuff" ready for tomorrow AM too.

Hi Ladies,

I just came in from shoveling snow of my front deck and the sidewalk. DS shoveled the walkway for DH so he can get to and from the house to his truck without falling. We a have a very wide driveway and I don't usually shovel it unless absolutely necessary. Once the sun comes out it will melt the driveway pretty quickly.

This morning is back and biceps. I'm a little afraid of the bicep work, my weakest body part. I will do my best, probably using lighter weights than the rest of you. I have not done any cardio this week and am feeling puffy. I can't commit to a cardio workout today either but we'll see. Does shoveling snow count as a cardio w/o.

Wendy-Love the Burn Intervals too. The kickbox one with thigh toner, speedskaters are a couple of my favorites! Would you consider a couple weeks of KB's before starting the X or NROL4W??? Since I'm newbie to KB's it would be nice to check in with you-a more experienced KB'er.

Jacque-That's great news on the weight bench. I'm hoping to get mine this weekend too. I haven't told DH but I actually think he would use it too. He's a big guy and using my step doesn't really work very well for him.

Six step class was great .. sweated tons and man can tell I have not done it in a while :eek: .. have a few nice DOMS in my hammies, abs, and back! The good kind!!!! Not sure what today is gonna bring .. we had talked about doing STS chest and tris BUT it is NASTY out .. horrible storms .. and the gym does not have 2 smaller barbells .. so we would not get the full affect .. so we may wait and do that one SUN .. SAT is STS legs week 3 ..

Wendy ... you have exercise ADD lots worse than myself!! LOL but you always manage to come up w/an awesome plan!! :)

Jacque .. how did the Sharks do?? I think we are 3 hours difference in time .. b/c Las Vegas was 3 hours from our time zone .. guess you would be the same?? We were supposed to be going back to Vegas but w/all the news of planes crashing .. YIKES .. kinda skeeered me!!! :confused:

Hello to Di and Lori .. Lori .. hope you check in w/us and tell us the little one has made a wonderful turn around for the better!!!:)

OK .. gotta run .. it is STORMING out side .. and is to rain all day .. tonight and ALL DAY tomorrow :confused::( .. hope the drive home is better than the drive this morning . YIKES .. I hydroplaned about 3 or 4 times on the way .. it was like a monsoon!!!! Have a great one chickas and I will BBL to see what everyone is up to!!!:D
 
Hey Ladies-

Finished Back and Biceps! Oh My, Cathe is just plain mean on the bicep work:confused: I used 40lb bb for bicep curls but she added on her bonus and I just could not lift that bar anymore. I had to drop down to 12's for the preacher curls at the end and it was still tough. My forearms are sore too. Now I need to work on cleaning up my eating so my results will show through all this fluff.

Laura-drive careful out there. We have our own snowy mess to deal with. The temps are supposed to warmup tomorrow so most of the snow will be melting. We are expecting more snow next week. We really need the moisture.

Jacque-be forewarned, the bicep work is hard hard hard! It's starts out innocently enough, but you know Cathe and her little tricks of add-ons!

Diana: Yeah, I want to do some KB'ing before getting into another 3+ month rotation so you're on! ;) Chalene has lots of killer moves between Burn it Off and Burn Intervals, doesn't she? I love the Turbo Jam cardios but was never fond of the intervals in them. Thank goodness there were only ever a couple in any one work out. That being said I was afraid I wouldn't like the CLX cardio but I LOVE IT! :D I've asked for the CLX Deluxe DVD with the extra work outs on it for my Birthday! Not the pkg as I have the bands and the weighted gloves. Just the dvd itself. I can't wait!!!! :) Good job burnin' up the biceps. Cathe is always mean when it comes to biceps. I swear she is exceptionally strong in the biceps and I am exceptionally weak. :p

Laura: Yup, I certainly am the QUEEN of exercise ADD! :p Problem is that I have so many work outs/programs tempting me so I am always changing my mind!!! Today I was wondering if I should go for an endurance/lighter weights rotation after CLX since CLX is all about strength/heavy lifting. Crap! I need someone to just TELL ME WHAT TO DO so I don't have to make up my own mind! :confused::D;):p

Jacque: I really think the Glucosamine helped me last time as well. That's why I didn't toss the rest of the bottle when I stopped taking it. Wow, that's a lot of snow!!! Does Idaho normally get THAT much!?! :eek: We had that one bad storm that we weren't in town for (thank goodness!) but other then that it's just been a bunch of little snow falls. I still think we are bound to get some sizable storm in April. I just have a bad feeling and it has happened before....:confused:

I am blaming it on PMS and my stupid stupid stupid tapeworm that has got to be in my stupid stupid stupid starving stomach :mad:

OK .. my spoiling it calories are going to be limited to CABS ONLY from now on .. and I am not even gonna get a w/o today .. (except the one w/DH;)) ... we have date night tonight . . but tommorrow think I am gonna get in cardio AND STS legs :confused: to make up for the stupid stupid petifores!!! :mad:
 
Hey Ladies!

I tried to check in ages ago but there was to much going on here. We got out of the hospital today:D:D The Dr was comfortable sending us home, if we were comfortable going home. I think she realized how paranoid we were so she didn't want us to go home if we were going to be running back to the hospital as soon as he coughed:rolleyes:

I managed to get one of the STS workouts in today but I was toooo lazy for a run so instead I had a nap:) I also had piles of laundry to do and decorate for DDs b-day party.

I just put DS to bed and as soon as he falls asleep, I will be going to bed as well. I did a good night of sleep....with no interuptions!

I will check in in the morning and read the post I have missed!
