Good Morning Chicas.

Well, dumb me didn't check what my alarm was set for before going to bed last night. I wanted to get up at 5am so I could get in a f/b work out this morning and then do the recovery work out after work. Well the alarm was set for 6, not 5, so no weight work out for me. :(

Scale is still up from this weekend but I suppose I shouldn't wonder why after saturday night! :p I ate well y'day (except for one piece of left over pizza at dinner) so I thought the scale would show improvement this morning (it normally will) but it was up .2 instead.:confused: I don't like it but I'm not gonna freak out cause I know it's not real. Should start seeing that downward trend again tmrw morning! :)

Okay, let me get this posted and then I'll be back for personals. If Lori snuck in on me in the meantime then I'll copy cut and paste this to her thread!

Good morning ladies !

Ugh I'm still so tired and feeling DOMS in my glutes this AM. I guess I must have squated extra low yesterday during the CPR? Will finish last week's rotation after work and it will be a toughie as we are hitting 98' today. Woo hoo, extra sweat loss ! :eek:

Diana - bummer you didn't have a date on your measurements but you have some good stats to gauge your progress and now can watch your downward trend from here ! ;) So you are starting week 3 today which is Fit Test or you moving on to tomorrow's workout?

Wendy - don't worry about your scale ! Your "norm" is low where you want it so you are more on maintenance which you do very well ! I was up a bit and nearly drowned myself with water yesterday, ate a bit light too since the water filled me up. (Though I did find Costco has Orowheat "sandwich buns" - like half a hamburger bun - for 100 cals each with 5 gms fiber !) We had burgers (mine was 2/3 turkey, 1/3 beef) and I'm back to my "low" weight for this year. Hope this Insanity kicks me down at least another 5 but that may be pushing it. My BF was down from last measurement also but not down to where it used to be when I was lifting more. Time will tell . . .

Jen - How are you feeling this morning? Did your Pats win? DH is a Seahawks fan and Niners are our local team - last I saw Niners were winning ! :( What will you be doing today? Gonna do a Fit Test?

Laura - OK girlie - you alive after your party weekend?

Lori - How did work go last night? Get that Insanity in yesterday?

Hello Ladies.

Just finished my work out. Since I slept through this morning's intended weight work out I was just going to do Cardio Core & Balance this afternoon but decided to heck with it. I felt like doing weights so that's what I did. Jackie's one on one training lower and upper body segments. Felt great. I was going to work abs to but just wasn't in the mood by the time the rest of the routine was done so I canned it. I will do CC&B tmrw. Not worried! :)

Jacque:: I'm not worried 'bout the scale in reality but it DOES affect me mentally. When I see a number that makes me smile it sets a good tone for the day. If I don't like the number it kinda bums me out a bit regardless of the circumstances. Yay for being at your low weight! BF% is funny. It's sooo not cooperating for me even now that I'm down those extra pounds and fit into my "skinny jeans" again! Sometimes you just gotta say eh, whatever! :rolleyes: LOL

Hope everyone else is doing well. I know I still owe some personals from last night but I have to get ready to pick DS up from school now. BBL though! :)
 
Hiya Chickadees!

I logged in earlier to post but got interrupted with a phone call. That seems to be the name of the game today. Typical Monday, in other words.

This morning's scheduled workout was Fit Test #2. Seeing I never did #1 I thought "Why start now?" :p So I totally blew it off :eek: Truthfully, I just wasn't feeling completely up to snuff today with the headcold, albeit minor, and the soreness in the ankle/foot. I easily convinced myself this morning that one more day of rest wouldn't be a bad thing. In fact, I didn't even walk at lunch! I just sat outside and enjoyed the sun.

Wendy: I know exactly the mental games the scale can play. I'm dealing with them today, in fact. Between no workout yesterday and today, and an overabundance of carbs yesterday, the scale was up 2.5 lbs from Saturday :rolleyes: Yeah, I know it's not real, but it still made me feel like a giant slob anyway! I'm putting Jacque's remedy to work though, and drowning myself with water. Don't worry, we'll both be feeling much better in a couple days, probably even tomorrow ;)

Jacque: My Pats blew it yesterday :mad: Brady is looking pretty rusty and they seem to be unable to find their groove, but I have faith and know next week will be much better ;) No Fit Test for me. I've decided that I don't really care what those number are, the results I'm looking for are different, so why bother? I did consider starting off week 3 early but quickly talked myself out of it. I expect tomorrow's workout will feel great after all this rest. Which one is on tap for you today?

A little slow here today . . .

Wendy - I am hoping someday to have a week where I can toss some weight work in. I am itching for it but timewise and tiredwise it isn't happening. Good to hear you aren't worried about the scale. I think we're the same and check daily but makes it easier to adjust accordingly. I'm all for skinny jeans over #'s too ! :p Now a few more lbs and I just may be there ! So you'll not be doing the CCB daily then. Have you done it at all yet? Am interested in what type of workout it is.

Jen - sounds like a good day for resting - love the sunshine myself ! ;) Today is PC + abs for me and so far it hasn't hit 80' yet so hopefully it won't get too much hotter and the news was wrong. Sometimes it does heat up quickly in the afternoons though. Fit test is not necessary - agreed - it did give me a good idea on what I was in for though. Just a bunch of the same drills except you count how many you can do. Bummer about the Pats y'day. Hopefully the coach will give them some good practices this week to work on their "groove". Hope the cold takes a hike - I'm sure the sun will help. :p

Hi ladies,

Well I skipped the "fit test" this morning and went right on to PCC. I was a bit tired since I forgot to set the timer, actually I pushed it twice last night and turned it off! I can say it wasn't my best performance, but I did what I could.

Yesterday during spin class my quads were on fire, but later that day and even today, my hamstrings are feeling pretty tight. It's about 2:15 here and I think I should be able to head out for a short but brisk walk.

Wendy-You'll have to fill us in on CCB so we will know what to expect. You are good at improvising as far as rotations go...you will be just fine. I would love to throw in some weight work, but quite frankly I've been too tired.

Jacque-you will be caught up with us in no time. These insane workouts just don't seem to be getting any easier. Well I can manage the warmup better than the first week, but they are still really hard for me.

Jen-I don't get the scale either. Somehow I'm up 2.4#'s from my weight yesterday.:mad: How is that even possible??? Glad I took my weights and measurements yesterday!!!;)

Lori-what are you up to today? Hope you get to rest from your early flight this morning.

Laura-How was your bday weekend celebration??

Hey Girls!

Late check in for me. I never get here in the a.m if DS is up before I am and as already punched an hour or two:confused:

My flight last night was delayed until 3:30...the worst time (if you ask me). So I went to bed for a couple of hours and the phone rang at 1:52 (to be exact) and there was another flight on the ground:confused: We had no clue it was coming. Anyway, the only good thing about getting woke up like that you really dont have anytime to think about how warm and cozy your bed is. Its just get up and go as fast as you can. So I slept from 11-2 and 4:15-8:30:mad:

I did get a workout in yesterday evening but it totally wiped me out.I think it was partly b/c I didn't have any water up to that point..just coffee...which is not like me at all. So I did the 1st Insanity dvd. I guess it was the plyometrics one and today ( I know Im nuts) I did the 2nd dvd cardio and resistance (?) MM AND at 3 my running partner and I decided to run ours butts off for 10 km. Im soooo gonna sleep tonight!

Its been a weird weekend here. DH had to fire one of his employees today b/c he was stealing. He as been working there for over 2 yrs and always been reliable but you could never pay him enough. He wanted to make $15 /hr at a sporting goods store with no education? So whenever they would give him a raise, he was only happy for so long. I guess he decided to take matters into his own hands and make some extra cash on the side. The last I heard he was even selling hockey sticks on ebay. Can you imagine???? I think once they find out how much he actually stole (if they ever will) the law should be involved. Give him what he deserves...if he thought he was intitled to something...then thats it!

Wendy** I did the same thing last night, or almost I should say. I turned the alarm on, got nice and snuggled down and realized I didn't change the time on the clock. Didn't make a dif anyway b/c I was rudely woken up before my alarm went off! LOL

Jacque** Yum..pancakes and berries!! Sounds good! Im thinking I should have some DOMS tomorrow as well!!! I don't like doing really high jumps though..can't stand it! I guess I better get use to it.

Jen** The story of my life is getting disturbed while I am trying to do something. I don't think I will be bothering with the fit test either. I was going to do CA yesterday but then I seen all the jumping and I was in NO mood for that!

Diana** Good job with your workout. I think these workouts require tons of energy!!

O.k...Im gonna jet before this computer does something weird again and I lose my post!

Okay, I have Fiber One Banana Nut muffins cooling right now. Can anyone say dessert!? :D They smell wonderful too!

I would usually be off making dinner right now but I am (strangely enough) not really hungry so I have no idea what to make! DH is laying down for a little nappy anyway so I decided to hang out a bit and not rush dinner. I'll come up with an idea soon enough...:p

Jacque:: That's great that you are considering joining Jen and Diana and myself for a P90X round. I want to do it but will need the support not to get off track with so many other temptations! :p Perhaps all of the lifting in the X will help kick down that BF a bit more! That's my hope for myself anyway! :) Yes I want to do a mini SS rotation once I am done with Insanity and waiting for you gals to finish up. Sorry you've been too tired to fit weights in. I can't do crazy cardio early in the A.M. so doing weights at that time was perfect. I am used to doing my work outs after work so doing Insanity at that time of day was no different for me so it worked out well. Nope, haven't done CC&B yet. My first shot at it will be tmrw. I just want to do it 3x this week and I'll be happy. I also want to sneak in one run and then a few f/b weight work outs while I can! :)

Diana:: 6# down is FANTASTIC! ^5's to you girl! That's awesome! I'm so happy for you! :D

Jen:: Sorry you are still having issues with the cold and your foot, etc. I hope you are feelin' top notch again soon! BF and I went out on Saturday night to a bar that is within walking distance from my house. It's got both an indoor and an outdoor bar. We spent alot of time outside early on yapping with the really cool bartender but then moved inside when they shut that bar down. I was drinkin' 007's like a fish :eek: but it was fun! :D I hear ya on the scale thing-I am up just about 2 pounds from saturday morning myself and I wasn't at my "lightest" on saturday either. :rolleyes: Water water water...I know it but sometimes it's just so hard to do!!!:(

Lori:: It's about darned time you got a Garmin!!!! I couldn't live with out it for running outside! I love it. :) That's crazy about your DH's employee! I'm sorry that happened! I hope the business didn't suffer too much. Will there be charges pressed against this guy for stealing? Yes, you are certifiable honey! People sometimes think I am nuts for the work outs I will do but you blew me outta the water! SLEEP good after that? No...More like PASS OUT! LOL :p

Hey Ladies ..

Well my birthday weekend was a blast!! :eek: although I came back a big fat LOOSER :eek: but DH he was a WINNER .. he was due too .. he has not been hitting anything .. he deserved to win .. everything he sat down on he won .. but I couldnt buy a win .. LOL .. I did play SAT on one machine for about 3 hours or so .. kept hitting .. was ONE STEP away from the jackpot .. which would have been around $2000 .. but alas I didnt make it .. but still won back what I had lost ... but I soon lost it again plus some of DH winnings :eek: whoops!

Anways I had a great time .. but ya'll ANY weight INSANITY took off of me .. OMG .. I ATE and drank it back on :( .. dang it .. and still thinkin VBH and DH are planning something for either THUR or SAT for my b-day ???? so MORE calories in store for me .. but for now .. concentrating on making it to class .. step circuit w/triple sets .. hoping my guys dont come back tonight .. b/c they will not get the step .. :confused: .. if they try it is going to be a very LOUD stressfull class :mad:

Wendy .. I am not daring to do the scales .. gonna have to wait till the celebrating is done b-4 I get that brave .. :eek:

Jacque .. cant believe you are still getting those temps .. saw a clip of all the celebrity people sweating on the red carpet .. kinda tickeled me :p

Jen .. boooo on the head cold .. NO FUN .. hope you feel better!

Ahhhh....my house is nice and quiet:) Im waiting for DD to come home so I can lock the doors and crawl into bed. I lay down with DS when he went to bed so of course I doozed for about 30 mins or so. Enough that Im not overly tired right now. I would like to have something to eat though. Im not hungry, just in the picking mood. But there is nothing here that I want, could be a blessing in disguise.

Wendy** I didn't have a very good dinner. I tried to make mac and cheese for the 1st time. I am usually pretty good in the kitchen but this was a total flop and I knew it from the moment I looked at the creation when I was done!:rolleyes: SO I ended up putting nuggets, pogos, and fries in the oven with it. Basically, supper bit the big one!

Laura** Nice to hear you had a good weekend. Insanity will get rid of those extra cals for you. I never win anything. I thought for sure I was gonna win the 21 million dollar lottery on sat night...but no such luck!:confused:

I willl bb in the a.m. Time to raid the cupboards to see if there is anything of interest to me,

Well I'm done with PC + CAbs. Not CABs but Cardio Abs girls ! :eek: :p

Had a hard time half way through - my back was too tired to counteract my abs. Will have to work at that one.

Diana - well I'll be on schedule tomorrow now and doing PCC. Think my missing a couple workouts will "punish" me as I'll have PC again on Wed!:eek: ITA the warm ups are easier but they will never be easy. Just listen to Shaun breathe heavy and watch him take breaks when we don't - that will tell you how hard these workouts are. I don't think any of them make it the entire way through without a break or huffin' hard ! :p Bummer about the # increase but it will go away. My hams have been tight ever since the start of Insanity but I am getting more flexibility with the constant stretching which I skip sometimes with Cathe. Good good it's all good to me.

Lori - yucky night of sleep you had. Dang girl ! you did all that working out yesterday and actually woke up to a phone ringing. Woulda never happened for me - I would have been comatose ! ;) Doggone employees, huh? They are always thinking they deserve more than they are worth. By the way, the CA starts with jumps but then the rest of the circuits are on the floor and Shaun keeps saying how there are no crunches (or something similar). It is a little easier once he does a few jumping drills. Have you checked out the mac & cheese recipes on the Food Network website? Scrumptious ones with almost any kind of ingredients you can think of. YUMMY !

Wendy - guess you and I can prod each other with P90X - I really got bored the last time, but heck, I'm still doing Insanity which is pretty much rotating a few workouts the same way Tony does it. Who knows, maybe I am ready?:rolleyes: Definitely bummed about being tired but missing workouts is taking away from any "extra" time too. Maybe this week I can keep to schedule and have a day that I can fit it in. We'll see . . . If not, I'll probably do as you are and add some weights during the recovery week.

Laura - Woo Hoo glad you had a great weekend. Having fun is more important than winning - especially since DH seemed to "have your back". :p You work out hard enough to get back where you want - you gotta live life while you can - you are definitely exercising enough. Can't wait to see if "the boys" showed up and attempted step ! :eek:

Off to see if DH is making progress with packaging the bag of meat I brought home. Until the AM chickadees !
