***DAMAGE CONTROL***February

TUE that is a MON for me .. UGH

OH yea .. reality sucks!!!

but I am back - and time to get back on track .. I tell you 2 weekends back to back .. eating out .. and CABS flowing .. I feel like I have gained 10# .. I got on scales and only gained 1# .. but it sure feels like 10# .. UGH .. gotta get the eats back under control .. I was SICK all weekend .. but feeling better today ..:mad: ... I did try a walk/run ystdy - it wasnt pretty .. and I was weak .. but I did it ... 5 miles prbly .. eh .. not bad .. but certainly nothing like I usually do!!!

Poor SIL was getting sick ysty - ugh - i hope she is better - I will be home now for a while .. so we can get back to our nightly workouts and kickarse weekend workouts .. yes .. picking back up on the rotation I started (sort of) ..

Superbowl - I am a college football fanatic .. but that game was awesome .. only caught the last 1/4 b/c we were on the road .. but ya ... it was great game .. and sooooo glad the giants won!!! :D you know we have one of our hometown guys on the Giants .. FB was blowing up about how now our hometown not only has a National Championship winning player .. but a SUPERBOWL wining player .. we got good football genes down here girlies!!!!

Lori - glad you are back ... we have missed you girlie ... and been keeping up w/you on FB ... I know you are loving your new one!! and WTG on the workouts .. you will be back to your normal routine in no time!! congrats on DH new job .. but ya .. Imagine that is going to be ruff on you w/the new little one there .. yikes!!!!!!

Wendy - WTG on the workouts .. ok .. DI mentioned you found another workout site .. OK .. spill .. gotta go find what she is talking about!!! You have exercise ADD worse than me girl!!! LOLOLOL

Di - boooo on the car troubles .... cant believe you have that much snow .. it was THE MOST GORGEOUS day here ystdy - sunshine - and temps around 62 .. aaaahhhhh .. gave me spring fever BAD!!!

SPEAKING OF SPRING FEVER - bikini season is just around the corner - I have to get my eats back on track .. WW tracking .. and committ to being GOOD .. b/c we have a Bahama's trip planned for APRIL :eek: not that far away .. and THIS body is NOT getting in a bikini like it is!!! :( :eek::eek:

Diana:: My DH was never a snorer. I hope it's temporary. We think maybe it's due to the heat drying him out. We shall see once we turn it off in the warmer weather if the snoring stops...fingers crossed! :eek: I am not a fan of elliptical machines overall but man do they have a few awesome ones at the gym that my DH belongs to! I can't wait to join so I can use it regularly! If I could get my hands on one of them I may opt for it over a TM in my house once we move and have the room for it! :)

Lori:: So what did I miss? What happened to DH's business? Congrats on him getting a shot with the RCMP though! I wish him the best of luck! My DH wanted to be a cop and/or a paid firefighter when he was younger. He could have done either but dropped the ball on both and now it's too late.:rolleyes: He kicks himself to this day for that but TBH I think he makes better money doing what he's doing now then he may have at EITHER of the other 2 jobs so maybe it's better this way...who knows!?

ETA:: Cathe is filming 2 new work outs that she hopes to release this summer!!! WOOT! :D

couldnt help but note CROSSfire ... soooo similar to CROSSfit ... hhmmmmmm ... wondering if Cathe is going to do some crossfit like things in it????? you know she topped Insanity w/Intensity and HiiT .. she way topped P90X with STS .... she topped ANY low impact workout on the market w/LIS ... she is BRILLIANT at taking the latest "fitness craze" .. making it her own .. making it SAFER .. and HARDER at the same time .. :eek:

ooohhhhhh ... i am sooooo excited whatever it is tho .. and if it tops Afterburn and AT .. I CANT IMAGINE!!! :D:D:D:D

Quiet night last night! Barely a peep out of DH! Go figure! :rolleyes:

I did Low Impact Challenge as per the rotation but I made it work for me since I haven't learned the whole thing yet. Here's what I did:

w/u-combo 1-combo 2-blast-bonus-c/d

It took just as long as the regular work out done as produced: 50 mins. :D

Good Morning:)

Another normal night last night but with some java I am ready to face the day ( I think:rolleyes:)

We dont have much on the go today, the only thing I have to do is take the baby to see the Dr for his one week check up....Im just a few days late on that one:confused: Im topping him up and then I am heading to the basement for a workout. I thought about doing LM but I may just do another walk and the rest of HR. As of now I dont appear to be sore from yesterdays 1/2 of HR.

Diana** I bet car pooling sucks. You kind of have to follow someone elses schedule. Im sure you will fit your workout in sometime today.

Wendy** The business is still there. He is hoping to have someone run the show while he is away and still be able to keep it. His business partner knows, Im just not sure if he realizes how serious DH is about it. I guess they will have to have that conversation when DH knows forsure.

Laura** How dare you say the B word!!!:eek: Bikini.....I wonder when I will feel comfortable in one again!? LOL I am looking forward to getting into the hotub in the near future though.

Morning Ladies

STS - TB last night .. OMG .. I guess I am still weak .. man it kicked my butt .. and DOMS: chest (eeeoouch) -shoulders - and bit into my legs!!! QUESTION ladies: How do you post your STS/Cathe workouts on FB???? and get the icon to load on your page/wall????? I am gonna start posting my workouts - hoping to motivate my former students .. so they see me working out and kinda what I am doing ...

Today: hopefully a walk/run at lunch if this sore body can manage it - I have a hair apnt this afternoon - hate to go w/stinky running outdoors hair .. but I wont get a workout in if I dont do it at lunch

Wendy - every now and then DH will have a "quiet - nonsnoring night" .. but HA .. it is very RARE .. but when he is tired or has drank some CABS he always snores ..

Lori - I know the "B" word scared the H### outta me too ... something tells me that you will have no problem getting in bikini shape tho!!! ;)

Laura:: To answer your question, go to the work out manager and click on the blue "f connect" button in the top right hand corner of the calendar screen. That should prompt you with an FB sign in. Sign in and that blue button should change. I forget what it will say...maybe just "connected"?? Anyway, once it changes then go to the day/work out in your calendar that you completed and click on it. Go over to the right hand side and click the little box next to the work out name. It should put a check mark in the box and turn the work out on the actual calendar from a green color to orange. Once that happens go over to FB and check your wall. The work out you did should be there! Hope this helps! :)....So it USED to be that my DH would ONLY snore when he was completely wiped out or had been drinking. Now it's way more often then that! :(
 
Hi Ladies,

This morning I did Back & Biceps. I used a 45# for bicep curls...tough. In the normal STS program you work your way up to heavier weights, putting meso 2 at the start of the rotations was hard for me to keep up with my normal weights...but I did it!!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm back...

Laura-it was a 45# barbell, not dumbbells.:D I did use 20's for the alternating db curls though and hope to work my way up to 20's for concentration curls...usually need to use 15's or 17's for those. I've never worn a bikini...a little jealous of my bikini wearing friends. Now we can keep up with your workouts on FB!:)

Wendy-LIC is on tap tomorrow for me. I recall there being some disc use in this w/o, that will have to be modified since my discs don't move on the puzzlemats. I need to go take look at the BR site and see how the February challenge is going.

Lori-glad you are getting a rhythm going...tough to do with a newborn in the house. How nice to have a whole year off though;)...the most I got was 8 weeks due to a c-section and the other 2 were only 6 weeks off. I could use a year off with partial pay right now tbh.

Diana:: LIC has disc work in the bonus step segment I think but that's all I came across...I think!:confused: How sad that I JUST did it this morning and can't recall for certain! :eek::rolleyes: I am trying to stop myself from looking at the BR site. It's bad enough I am getting updates on FB right now! :p Honestly though, I am enjoying the change of pace with this rotation so I am really not all too tempted to do BR right now...not YET anyway! ;)

Lori:: Oh I remember the first doctor visit when my DS was a newborn! OMG I about had a heart attack! It was my first car ride with him ALONE! Talk about panic stricken!:eek: Hope the cutie pie is perfectly healthy! I am sure he will be! :) I guess your DH's biz partner is in for a rude awakening if he isn't taking DH seriously regarding being a policeman!!!

So I've recently (like an hour ago!) decided to replace all M1 upper body STS work outs in the STS/LIS rotation with a P90X upper body work out. I find M1 the least enjoyable and have been talking about doing P90X for a while now so I figure this could be a good compromise! Anyone care to join? ;)

Just getting back here! Busy day....

DS2 appt was fine of course. He is almost back to his birth weight and if he keeps eating this way he will be past it in no time. I managed to get my workout in even though the baby fussed in his swing off and on. I even ran for a while :eek: I did the rest of HR and a walk/run. I asked the Dr when I could start running again and he suggested I wait 6-8 weeks.:eek: I know I didnt wait that long the last time but prehaps I should wait for the 4 week mark at least. In the meantime I will stick to the low impact stuff and weights.

Diana** I dont know how women cope with only 6 weeks off:confused: A year may be a bit long and if anything its harder on the babys. I dont think DS ever adjusted to me going back to work but it probably had something to do with shift work as well.

Wendy** Took me forever to get to that dr's appt! Just when I think I have it all planned out...I remember plans and babys dont go hand in hand! Then the dr's office was hot and I was melting...Ugh! Tomorrow we are gonna try to take him to watch DS skate. Not sure how Im gonna get out of here at 10!

Laura** Sounds like you had a good workout!!!

Morning Ladies -

OK .. I think my chest is sorer today than it was ystdy .. YOWZA!!!! surprised my legs and bum arent sore .. but they are fine!!! Today i am going to try to knock out UB and LB heavy weights at the center - tonight is the GGT for my aunts and my friends bday! Food and CABS .. :confused:,, but fun and laughter :p

Wendy - your bum will really be hurting later if it was already hurting and you did AB ...

Di - even 45# w/barbell - I still say WOW ... my bis are big but so weak .. I dont understand it ..

Lori - a year off .. that is NICE ... no one that I know of around here has ever had a year off .. that is great!!!!

OK .. better run .. I still have errands .. gotta buy some gifts for tonight .. but I DO HOPE I get in my heavy weight work!!! OK .. have a great one .. BBL to see what everyone is up to ;)
 
Hi Girls!

Managed to get to skating around 10:30 this morning to watch DS skate. Not mad considering that we didnt get up until 9. He slept for 5 straight hours last night! But for some reason I still felt like crap! I feel better only having 4 hours...weird! Then he was up for 2 hours:rolleyes: so kind of a catch 22.

Im debating working out today. I will see how my afternoon works out. The baby usually sleeps a lot in the afternoon.

Wendy** Nice workout. I have yet to try that one!

Laura** I know!!! And with DH going away, who knows when I will be going back to work. Depending on where we live I might not have to work....although I think I will need to do something for my sanity. Im not cut out to stay home with kids either!

Hi Ladies,

Boy...kinda feel like a slacker this morning. Having not slept for the previous 2 nights, I took one of my meds last night and slept until 7am this morning. I rushed DS to school even though he was already late.

Needless to say, no workout for me this morning. I have bootcamp class tonight so that may take the place of LIC. It's probably just easier to play it that way or I will get behind on the rotation and never catch up. DOMs report in the back and biceps!!!:p

Wendy-nice job today girl!!!

Lori-I didn't know you might need to relocate due to DS's new job. I'm sure DS was glad to see you at his skate!! It's the little things that matter most in life!

Laura-you have a busy afternoon planned. Hope you can fit everything today. Oh yeah, the year off is one of the perks of living in Canada. We don't get that opportunity here in the states.

Diana:: It can be hard to fit it all in fitness wise huh? I want to join the gym with DH but I also know that fitting it all in is going to be a problem and I don't want to be worrying about it all the time! :confused: I need to find a way to draw the line somewhere. I don't want to miss out on the gym w/DH (and just in general) because I am a bit OCD when it comes to my work outs! :mad::rolleyes:

Lori:: How exactly do you feel better with 4 as opposed to 5 hrs of sleep? :confused: You are a wierdo! :p I could understand if you slept for 9 hours and said you felt better after 7 or 8 but 5 is too much?? :eek:

Laura:: Have fun tonight! Yeup, I am going to be crying AGAIN tmrw b/c I won't be able to sit down to pee without cringing! :eek: Hoping to get up in time to do some Yoga Relax in the morning since it's my rest day. Fingers crossed for me!
