Good Morning!

So I didn't see the thread started anywhere...even read through them all cause I thought someone would have been here by now.

I must have gotten more sleep at work then i thought b/c I feel fine! I will probably be lazy later today though....that will just go great with this weather! Prehaps its bread making weather;)

My inlaws brought back my new Garmin to me and I won't even get to try it out today:( So I guess its pure cardio but I am going to try the Garmin for the HRM and calorie burn part as well. Should be interesting.

Still no one around?:confused: Just bumping us to the top. Gonna do my workout now. Any guessers on how many cals I will burn??? 31 yrs old, 5'4" and 123 lbs? Im gonna say.....400'ish.

Good morning girls!

Just a quickie for the moment...workout this morning was CA cuz I didn't do it yesterday, CR cuz that's what was on tap today, and then UB a la BM2. That was a nice way to hit the entire UB in about 21 minutes.

Morning girlies !

Well was not in the groove last night and PC+abs was on tap (just did it Mon plus y'day was 5th workout in a row) so I switched it for CR which was supposed to be today. It felt good and I got a little sweat going so tonight will be the PC+abs. My "no-cook" day - hoping I feel like a little UB work too. We'll see. Did get a good night's sleep even though I'm pretty sure I got up a few times to head for the bathroom? :rolleyes:

Laura - Well I was outta college by the time you were wearing poofy Dynasty clothes ! :eek: My senior pic was with straight as a board hair that hung nearly in my face - I did have ugly braces on at the time so no teeth showing for me ! Then again, I grew up in a beach town that was kinda small and the styles didn't hit for years - we were more hippieish than shiek. Heck, that reminds me my first child was born mid 80's !

Lori - woo hoo for the Garmin. I will be interested in seeing what you burn. Mine are never higher than 240ish with the GWF but the Polar HRM shows 400ish. PC is a goodies since there are no breaks other than the stretch between the warmup and the workout. It's a goodie ! So 31 yrs old huh? No wonder you have so much energy ! ;) I do remember the days . . . ahhhhhhh.

Diana - how's the co-worker doing? Will you get daily updates from anyone?

Jen - how are the ankles doing?

Wendy - wasn't serious about the wt. thing other than how the scale doesn't seem to do for me what it does for others. No biggie. I have been playing with different combos since Jan 08 and really haven't found anything that drops wt fast other than going down to 1200 cals without too much wt work (cuz it makes me hungry). I'm feeling better these last couple of months as it has taken a downward trend, though with so many changes (no BC - freestyle - Insanity - upping my cals a little - GWF) I just don't know what did it. Will try to keep to 1500 - 1600 which is my norm when I log (getting tired of that too) and when I "pig" if I log it is usually no more than 2,000 so once in a while there is probably fine. Carbs are another thing that I can cut and will cut down the lbs for me. I do love hearing how you girls are doing - was really teasing cuz it is so funny how everyone is different and even with ourselves how things can change so quickly. Guess that's why there are so many articles that contradict each other - we truly are individuals and I truly believe our bodies change too. Switch it up is definitely my motto.

Hi Ladies,

I'm not feeling very well this morning, feels like a sinus infection. My head is pounding...I took some sinus meds and hope it clears up a bit. I think CPR is on tap this morning. Hopefully I be ready to tackle that after my 2 cups of coffee.

Day before yesterday, my hr monitor got "stuck" at 8:22 into my workout and wasn't showing my hr. I'm gonna have to get the book out to figure out how to reset it. It shouldn't be the battery, just had it replaced about 8 months ago.

I've been asked to attend a training on behalf of my boss next week. I was told it was a meeting and agreed to it. Once I received the invite, it was for training next week, M-F, 8-5. You all know I work 9-6. Those hours really cut into my morning w/o times. I may have to do the w/o's in the evenings which is not really to my liking.

Lori-I have the garmin forerunner 305, is that what you got? I used it a lot when I was running much more than I do now. It was really handy when I was training. You can upload the data to your computer, very cool tool. I'm pretty sure the one I have can't be used inside. I too also show a much lower calorie burn with the GWF over my Polar HR monitor. So, how many calories did you burn?

Jen-Nice w/o this morning. I've had to double up a couple times too. I see that Sunday is our day off. I prefer to take a weekday off, just in case I oversleep etc. I really do feel like I need a day of from these insane w/o's. TBH, I'm glad we only have 1 more week before starting month 2..maybe it's 2 weeks with recovery week in there.

Jacque-I'm with you, I would love to eat more and lose weight too! It doesn't always work that way for us though. I was one of the big hair of the 80's girls, graduated in 1983. If my co-worker is doing well enough, they want to wean him off the oxygen and "wake him up". He's still in the medically induced coma.

Hi Laura and Wendy...bbl to see what you ladies are up to. I'm heading down to tackle CPR. If I'm not feeling it once I get started, I will give it another try tonight.
 
oops...I had my Garmin set on running and not general...so I didn't get a reading for cals burned:confused: Oh well...

I will bb with personals. I need to shower and get something to eat.

Morning Ladies ..

My hair looks awesome . . she did an excellent job . . put only low lites .. and it is a lot darker now .. used a darker color .. more my true natural color now .. she kept a little length .. DH wants me to grow it out :confused: doubt that is gonna happen but I will let it grow a bit till it starts aggravating me again!

Lori .. sorry the Garmin didnt register the calories like you wanted .. poo .. thats not fair ... I think 400 or better is good estimate for PC .. Oh LOL about the baloon story again .. your DS does LOVE balloons doesnt he .. LOL!!!

Jacque .. LOL about the straight as a board hair .. mine was like that thru the 8th grade .. then it was all about BIG hair!! LOL

Di .. hope your co-worker friend gets weined of the O2 .. and does good .. that is just so scary!!! still sending healing positive vibes!! I didnt realize you went in at 9 .. no wonder you can get in those early w/o .. I have to be here at 8 and have about a 35 minute commute .. and I am barely functioning in the mornings so I would really have to MAKE myself w/o in the a/m .. and no way could I do an Insanity w/o that early

Ok ... so today we are having a safety luncheon ... MORE FOOD and calories .. and boss is letting us leave early .. only thing is I have Plyo class to teach tonight .. :( .. I dont want to go all the way home and have to come back for that .. do I stay in town and shop ?? or cancel class and go home and do INSANITY?? SIL had a scare last night w/her blood pressure and vision and is kinda skiddish about teaching or even taking class tonight .. :( .. soooo either i have to stick it out and stay or cancel and go home :confused: dang it .. ONE MORE reason HAVING to teach class is such a limitation on my schedule .. dang it . :confused:
 
Hey Girls.

No time for personals right now but later on for sure! Gotta shower up before heading over to pick up DS from school. Dinner at mom's tonight. Hope it's not TOTALLY deadly this week! :p

Just finished CC&B. I really do enjoy this work out. Too bad I lost my chance to do it SIX times! lol :D For once in my 37 years I am NOT looking forward to the weekend because that means that my recovery week is coming to an end and I'll have to start Month 2 work outs :eek::eek::eek::eek:!!!! I'm askeered!!!!!

Got on the scale this morning and after eating normally y'day I am only up .2 pounds after my 2# drop so my all time low continues! I'll take it! :D

Off I go before I end up with no time for that shower!

Im another one who doesn't have time for personals right now but I will bb tonight when I get to work.
We are having a very relaxing/good day here today. I put a color in my hair, gave myself some bangs, made bread, played, danced....ahhh...I like not being stressed out and piling tons of stuff on my plate.

Its pouring here today!

So after my last couple of posts where the scale was up and down for me I hopped on this AM and . . . drumroll . . . I'm down another lb from the lowest in a couple of years ! Perhaps Insanity is just taking a little longer for me? I'll Take It Hands Down ! If I can budge another lb or two I may be in my "skinny" jeans from a few years ago before I started my uphill gain ! Woo Hoo ! Woot Woot Woot ! Help me keep on track mi amigas ! ! ! :p

Jen - way to go popping in the additional UB work this AM. I'm guessing you are doing better then - good !

Diana - sorry for the headache - I soooo understand. Hope it was mild enough so you could get your workout in. Bummer about early days all week next week. Those schedule changes throw me off. But then again there is the fact that you have the Insane Motivation to do your Insanity so you can get it over quicker ! ;) I am kinda anxious to move on already - kinda askeered to start Month 2. At least we'll get Wendy's opinion first ! LOL ! :p Sounds like your co-worker is making some good progress - wonderful ! Keeping him in my thoughts for a quick recovery. Big hair for you too, huh? LOL ! I was a chick-jock so no hairstyling for me - just throw it in a pony tail and go for the most part. I did have those rolled side styled bangs though when I went out ! :eek:

Lori - so whatcha think about PC vs the others ? Bummer you didn't get to check the cal burn with your new "toy".

Wendy - lovin' your great review for CCB - now I am looking forward to a quick one more week until the recovery week. Yes ! Woo hoo on the scale this AM ! ! ! Guess there must be something to this HIIT. Most of Cathe's rotations call for one HIIT per week but I am now thinking a couple would be perfect for maintenance. I know the CC's helped me out a while back. Keeping good eats thoughts for your din din tonight ! ;)

Laura:: Sounds like teaching your classes is becoming hindering to you lately. Could you or would you consider cutting back and doing it only a couple times a week??

Jacque:: YEE HAW! See? I knew it would work for you too! There was no way you were going to be THE ONLY ONE who didn't lose any weight on this program! Congrats!!! As for tonight's eats...I think I may request a smaller plate at dinner. That's what I do at home and it works well in terms of portion control. :)

Jen:: Nice mix of work outs this morning! BM2 does have a nice short upper body work out in it. I'll have to keep that in mind for future use! Thanks! :)

Well, I guess that's all for now. Time for me to hit the road!

Okie..Dokie...I am settled into work and all is well. Did I tell you guys that DH came from a visit last night? He was on his way to work and brought me my Garmin to play with. Then he decided to hang out for a while:) He couldn't beleive how relaxing it is here:p So he never did get to work...he just stayed here till 11'ish and then went home.

Im looking forward to watching Grey's tonight, even though I know who dies:confused: SIL spilled the beans! It should still be a good show just the same.

Diana** Sorry to hear you aren't feeling 100%. How did you feel after you downed the coffee? I usually only have one big mug in the a.m and thats if for the day. It probably is equivlent to 2 normal size mugs. Our watches are the same. It will come in handy when I am training but I probably won't bother wearing it for everyday runs, unless I want to know how many cals I burned. Last yr I use to wear my HRM all the time, then I took it apart to change the battery and never put it back together.:confused: Then the flood happened in the basement and the thing probably just got threw in a bag somewhere...or went to the dump. It should register cals burned for any other workout though shouldn't it? I knew that it didn't calculate running inside but I thought it could cound cals?

Laura** So what did you decide to do? I bet you stayed and did the class! Im lov'in my new hair color as well. I didn't realize it needed to be done so bad until I looked in the mirror last night. I also gave myself some bangs. Im trying to decide if the bangs make me look older or younger:eek:

Wendy** I wonder whats on the menu for today;) Your gonna eats tons...I know it and your gonna gain 10 lbs over night:p:p

Jacque** I liked PC...once I got into it. It was a tough workout, Im not 100% sure which one was toughest yet. He doesn't give you much time to think about what you are doing, just do it:confused: I think its probably going to help with my race though. 23 more days!:eek:
