Happy New Year! I had a great workout yesterday-PT exercises and then did 4DS Low Impact Circuit premix-70 minutes! Probably just walking today due to New Year's Day events (i.e. PSU plays in a bowl game-and we're going to a pizza party to cheer them on). What are you all up to? Can't wait for LITE!

Happy New Year!!! The girls went to a sleep over last night. It was nice to finally be able to watch some adult movies. We stayed in and watched movies. Sunday I did X10-the 65 min premix and a BR w/o. Yesterday I did CCC and a BR w/o. This morning I did a BR w/o and RWH CST. This is the end of my days off, and it's back to work tomorrow. It should be a pretty quiet week as many folks our out this entire week. I think I mentioned I'm doing a BR 21 day challenge. I just completed Day 3. My weight is up and it is very frustrating. I'm 3lbs over my WW starting weight 1 yr ago. I'm tracking everything I eat. I ordered some isagenix products and will follow that for at least 1 month, maybe 2. Something to kick-start the scale moving in the right direction. I haven't had my SGS smoothie. I'll probably start with that tomorrow when I'm back on a normal schedule. More movies are on the agenda for today, and laundry.

Wow, a 70 min premix is awesome!!! I'm thinking we'll have Lite in hand in about 2 weeks.

I ended up just walking again yesterday. An elderly acquaintance called yesterday morning to take her to the doctor. It ended up she had a stroke in her central optic nerve and has lost sight in her left eye from it. She was very stressed so I ended up going grocery shopping for her, helping her tell her husband, and making a plan to help her get things under control.

It looks like I'll be spending a few nights in a motel during my training. I can't see driving an hour and a half in the dark then working 8-5 then driving home an hour and a half, then turning around and doing it the next day. I'm a little stressed about my whole schedule and life changing. Today is my initial paperwork and physical. One thing at a time, right?

Your knee must be feeling better doing CCC and X65! Are you having a smoothie? I've been doing the orange, banana, spinach in the morning. It's going to be hard with all the traveling to get workouts in every day this month. I'm going to shoot for 4 days/week until I get on a regular schedule.

What movies have you guys enjoyed? We can never seem to find one. We did buy Killing Eve on Amazon and binged that the past few days. Plus we like watching The Vikings and This is Us.

Off to get ready to go!

I ended up taking half a day off yesterday. The weather was beautiful so the girls were able to ride their new bikes!! I did plenty of walking and running while they were biking. My knee is killing me today and was hurting when I was running. I think I may pump up my bike tires and ride with them today. The scale finally moved in the right direction this week. It was only 1lb, but I'll take it. The girls go home tomorrow. I'm going to miss those little munchkins.

Are you ready to start your new job? I know it seems daunting, but change is good. Hopefully once the training is over, the job will be just what you wanted.

This morning I had a haircut appt and got home just before the girls headed to the airport. I'm going to miss the little munchkins, but will be seeing them later this month. I've just been doing laundry and cleaning up a bit. I did go for a 75 minute walk. My knee started hurting about 10 minutes before I got home. Just playing my workouts by ear for this week. Babying my knee as necessary.

Hope you have a great week. I know it's just training. You will do great!

Hello! I have been running around like mad getting stuff in order. I went today for "onboarding" and start at the office tomorrow morning. I'm excited!

My workouts are all over the place. I did the pool yesterday and walked on Saturday. I made some vegean mushroom barley soup:p. Driving an hour and a half both ways Thursday and today was not fun...Like I said...I'm all over the place-no schedule-winging it. I did do my PT core stuff this morning-gotta do that M/W/F if nothing else.

How short is your hair? I was so glad to read you took some time off to walk/bike with the granddaughters. I think LITE is just what your knee is calling for. Did you get an e-mail that it's on its way soon? I'm feeling good. Low impact is good-you should try it! I think your knee would like it. Have you been doing your SGS smoothies? I sip on mine...it's cold, though, and harder in the winter!

This morning was a BR w/o. I haven't been having the SGS smoothies per se, but mixing and matching with what I have at home. I'm starting to do 2 shakes-morning and lunch, and a healthy meal of veggies and protein at lunch. Apples, bananas, berries, peppers etc for snacking. I need something to get the scale the moving. The hot flashes are becoming worse and more frequent. Not sleeping is becoming problematic too. I did not receive a shipping notice today. My hair just below shoulder length. I get it cut every 8-10 weeks. My next appt I'm getting hilights/lowlights. I need to be able to pull it in to a ponytail. I thought the Dr. Office was close to your house.

Glad you are feeling good. Your soup sounds delicious and perfect for cold weather. Yes, the smoothies are much easier in the summer. It's nice to start your day infusing your body with nutrients. Is your training over now? Do you know what your schedule will be?

This morning while I was enjoying my first cup of coffee, my boss called on my personal cell. There was a work issue that needed my immediate attention and therefore I was unable to workout this morning. I did manage to go for a quick walk this afternoon. I feel bad for my boss. There is a re-org in my department and all the managers have to apply to the new job openings. In short, they are eliminating many of the manager positions.

How was your first day on the new job?

Well, it's been going great at work! I am adjusting to the new schedule, new people, new work, etc. Tomorrow is another trip for training. My office is less than a mile from my house and once I get through trainings, I'm good! Next week and the following week I have two two day trainings and that is when I'll stay overnight. I found a little inn close to the trainings and they said I could park the car there and then just walk. That sounds much easier than finding the shuttle at this point.

It sounds like you're working a lot. Glad you're not a manager! Some days all I get are a walk, so you are doing fine in my book! Yesterday after work I did the lower impact workout from To the Max. I did not do any of the jumping in the all step part, just did moves I knew were low impact. I did the leg weight section twice and clocked in at 32 minutes of movement on the Fitbit. Tonight...have to do my PT and then see what I feel like. I would like to do some kickbox!

This morning was another BR w/o, short and not nearly as tough. I didn't have a chance to get outside today. I'm short on my steps.

That is awesome that your new job is so close to your house!!!

Yes, I'm hoping to walk to work when the weather gets a little more decent. My training today was good. I'm always amazed at how I continue to learn in nursing. I booked my room for next week. It's all computer training so should be fun.

How is your knee feeling? A short workout is fine! I'm not getting nearly as many steps lately. I might be done with my weekly card game on Mondays. I don't know if I can do it with my new job. Dan is substituting for me this week and then the following week I have more training, so I can't play then either. I don't know if I want something else on my schedule right now. I have to get up to speed at work!

I went to the pool tonight after work. Fitting in workouts is definitely harder right now. I think I'll take tomorrow off. When is your rest day?

I did a BR step w/o this morning, but I changed it to make it much more fun. BR does a lot of HIIT, kettlebell, weights etc. Not much step. It was just on the step, but I added a single riser as the step slid on my puzzle mats without the risers. It was nicer today so I did go walk for an hour at lunch. We are getting snow tonight though. I don't schedule my rest days, they just fall when I can't workout. I consider the days I only walk as active rest days. My knee seems to be getting better, but still not great. I'm following the Isagenix plan for a bit to kick start some weight loss. I'm cleansing today and tomorrow. The cleanse days consist of their cleanse drink throughout the day and a few snacks (isa snacks) as needed, and lots of water. So far, so good. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

It's nice to enjoy learning and expanding your knowledge in your field. Once you know what your work schedule will be it will be easier to schedule your workouts, and your card games. :)

I'm not sleeping very well and it's impacting my ability to get moving in the morning. I did get in a 40 min tough kettlebell workout this morning. My first meeting today was canceled. It's so annoying! Oh well. I have to work from 8pm-10pm tonight so I got off early at 3 today and went grocery shopping. I used a ton of coupons and saved over $75. I haven't had any wine in about 3 weeks, as I was hoping it would help with the weight loss and hot flashes. Not sure it's worth not having the occasional glass of wine. I still haven't received a shipping notice for LITE. I'm sure it will show up next week some time. I'm really looking forward to pyramid pump.

Hope you had a great day. What do you have planned for the weekend?

Beth-B-Fit

Cathlete
Well, my weekend is going to be spent cooking, doing laundry, watching soccer, working out, and trying to relax! I did get to see my parents last night-they came over for some cards. This new schedule is going to take some getting used to. My LITE dvds are supposed to be here today! I want to do weights this weekend and maybe take a walk with a friend.

Not sleeping is the worst. I have been getting to sleep ok, but wake up for a while around 3 AM. My eyes are twitching non stop the past few days. Why is sleep so elusive anymore? My friend loves her kettlebells. I have never tried them-too afraid of hurting my shoulder.

Off to get laundry....What hare your plans this weekend?

I worked until 1am. I didn't sleep very well and am pretty exhausted right now. I did go weigh in at WW this morning but missed the meeting. I'm down 2.4lbs from last week. I also just came off two cleanse days. I'm playing with intermittent fasting. No eating after 6pm and eating breakfast at 9am or so, after my morning workout. I love my kettlebells and use them all the time. I also have some kettlebell workouts. My heaviest is 30# and I would like to get 35# and a 40#. I'm also on the hunt for some 40# dumbbells. I'm not willing to pay full price so I've been looking online and second hand sports stores. I have some stuff to take to salvation army this weekend. Getting back to purging more clutter. It's never ending. Oh, I still haven't received a shipping notice for LITE. If it doesn't show up next week then I will contact customer service.

Enjoy your weekend!

I got my LITE today in the mail! I do live a lot closer though to NJ. I'm sure yours will show up eventually. I made some chili and was watching soccer when the elderly couple I help called. Long story short we went to the ER. So I lost a good chunk of my day. I did manage to get in the warm up to Ice back, 3 rounds of back, then did the 3 rounds for chest and the cool down. It clocked in at 45 minutes. I guess I'm a solid intermediate now!

Glad the scale is moving in the direction you want! 2.4 lbs. for a week is great. I think IF is good. I have not been snacking at all though at my new job so even though I'm eating 3 meals, I haven't gained this week.

Funny-you are looking for more weights and I am putting my barbell and all the plates in the basement this weekend. I've had them at least 20 years and feel I got my money's worth for sure. I'd like to sell them at some point. Heaviest I'm using anymore are my 20's (and probably only one at a time like for plie squats or high step ups).

It's been a long day. I worked 9 1/2 hours straight. No workout to report. I slept in a tad and didn't have any energy this morning. I'm still in my pajamas. The LITE DVD's arrived today. Have you looked at any of the LITE rotations? What disc are you going to try first? I definitely use my barbell and dumbbells all the time. If I get rid of anything it will be DVD's that I no longer use. My SIL and I are planning a trip to Nova Scotia with my MIL this summer. This is one of my MIL's bucket list items. We are using the same escorted travel company we used when we went to Ireland.

Sorry you lost part of your day dealing with an emergency. At least you got your w/o in! The weight loss was after 2 fasting days, we'll see what it is tomorrow. How is the new job and training going?

I ended up taking melatonin around 11pm last night. I finally got to sleep around 12:30. Not sleeping is definitely the worst. I'm working my way through a BR challenge and did a BR circuit this morning and a weight workout at lunch. My knee is a little sore so I'm trying to ice it when I can.

How is your week going?

Beth-B-Fit

Cathlete
I've been at training the last two days for the computer aspects of my new job (love saying that!). Next week I'm supposed to go Monday and Tuesday, but there is a foot of snow coming with ice on top. I'll deal with that next week-too tired now!

After work today I did RUR with the cardio blast (modified). It was ok. I will probably wear my gloves next time. Then I did all my PT stuff. Monday I worked then packed and was too tired to work out. Tuesday after the training I walked a little around the town. It was so cold though-only did about a 1/2 hour.

I don't sleep well, either. Maybe it's a middle aged lady thing? I try not to worry and just rest my eyes and try to do some breathing counts to take my mind off of it. Oh well. At least I know I'm not alone!

Today after work I did the new PHA 2 workout from LITE. I loved it! So far it's my favorite workout of the series. I got a great workout. Some exercises I didn't even need any weight-low pulse lunges for one. I think it's the first time I've had my heart rate up in a while. I'm feeling like metabolic/circuit might be the way to go for a while.

Today was my first day on the computer and trying to put everything together. I'm in a really busy office (at least 10 providers), so it was busy, but time flew. How is your week going?
