Heya girlies!
I'm up to my elbows in paint right now. DS got the idea that he wanted to thoroughly clean his room (yay!) and paint in a brighter color, so Friday night he tore the whole thing apart, and spent yesterday morning sorting through stuff and vacuuming until we went out to the cookout. DSO brought him out to buy the stuff he needed to paint the room so he was all set to go today. In the meantime, though, he had also coordinated a bike ride with two other friends for today. So he took off and left me with a) a room that looked like a small tornado went through it and b) all the fixins to just get the job done...how convenient

Fortunately, DSO is lending his elbow grease and we're actually moving right along with this project. Almost done, in fact.
The cookout last night was good, but we left by eight because we were both super tired.
I decided to go for a run yesterday after all. THe weather was perfect for it. I went six miles, but they were hard fought. My legs were a tad sore and very tired from the Insanity workouts. No workout for me today though. I wanted to get the Fit Test done but it looks like that'll have to wait for tomorrow.
Wendy: Happy to hear you'll be working your rotation right into the start of month two of ours. We'll all be dying together. Nope, SO does not know about my furnace complaints! It's funny...if we slept together every night I know I'd get into that groove where I wouldn't be able to rest well without him there, but seeing we live separately still, he only stays here on the weekends so I have the bed to myself more often than not. Therefore, that's my "default" setting and it's an adjustment to have to share. Hopefully someday soon the adjustment will be nights when he's NOT there. The difference between being alone on weeknights versus weekends is that during the week I'm up early, Saturdays is when I catch up on my sleep. So a Saturday where I'm by myself and able to catch up on my sleep is
like gold
Sounds like today is going to be a fun day for you!
Lori: Those protein bars sound delish! I'd be interested in that recipe if you were interested in posting it

I'm always looking for something totable to pack for work, and I know my son would take those in his lunch, too. Ugh, I hear you on the laundry woes! I have a MOUNTAIN in front of my washer right now that I'll be tackling later and tomorrow

It never ends. Great workout this morning!
Diana: My gf, the one who has Insanity, and I were talking about those level 1 drills today and how hard they are. She agreed that they're killers, and then said "But wait until you see the level 3 drills."

I didn't even ask if there's a level 2! Have fun at the birthday dinner tonight!!
Jacque: Sorry to hear about your miserable night's sleep

But if we had earthquakes here

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be getting much sleep afterward either! Good job getting that Fit Test done. I'll do mine tomorrow. I was lol'ing about your hot flash story yesterday, and then feeling grateful that I'm already past that

I make a spinach and strawberry salad quite often and it is delish! The dressing is sweet though, with oil, white wine vinegar, sugar, poppy seeds and sesame seeds. I've had the same salad with a less sweet dressing and feta and you're right, that's an excellent combo too!
Ugh, I think the walls are ready for the second coat. Will bbl hopefully~
