Dairy=bad skin week 2

Well, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot give up dairy so if this is whats causing it I am sh!t out of luck. I posted last Fri after week 1 and said that my skin looked a bit better. This week however I had some blemishes pop up, could be the dairy I added back in or the fact that I am pmsing.
Personally, I think its a combo of maybe the dairy, stress (lots the past year) and I realized I had been using a tinted sunscreen that contains a bit of a moisturizer and I am not supposed to be using a moisturizer as I have oily skin. I had started using it just this past 6 months when I discoverd it as a new product. So I stopped using it and see if that helps a bit. So the mystery lives on. Has anyone tried this? I figure it can't hurt.

I don't know about the dairy thing, but I was breaking out a ton when I tried a new makeup that was clearly too heavy and blocking my pores. It tooks me weeks to figure that out, duh!

The other culprit I found was actually hair spray - I think it was the alcohol content which I guess would dry out the skin. I had to buy one of those face shields or otherwise would have had to give the stuff up completely, and THAT would be catastrophic. ;-)

You think you'd leave these problems behind before hitting 35! :eek:

Cheers,
Marie

I would definately say stress and hormones are the major culprits for breakouts. I have not been sleeping well lately and man I had a mini explosion along my jaw line.

I suffer from acne also. I will be 33 next month. I thought it would be gone by now! A lot of things I use work great--one of the best in plain old Clearasil, spread in a thin layer over the entire face each night. Sometimes I alternate it with salicylic acid, or even beauty creams with retinol. I am sure you are already on a skincare regime, so disregard that if you are. :) I am sure you have heard also--Proactiv works!

Also more advice you have heard--don't touch your face. Keep your pillowcase very clean. I also love the Loreal glycolic peel kit you can buy at the drugstore. They say to leave it on for 5 minutes. That's a joke, it doesn't even burn. I leave it on for the entire night. Lots of zits gone, and look entirely better the next morning. I can wear the peel all night because my skin is oily, and isn't sensitive.

OK, I will stop blabbing.
