Good morning everybody. Today for me is PUB and I am going to do the KPC and bootcamp cardio premix. I will do abs too using the abs hits dvd. Have a great weekend and enjoy your workouts.

Good morning to everyone.

Today its 1.5 hour step class and 30 minutes of abs, then a break and really long relaxing walk here in Victoria BC. I am finally on a 3 month holiday and enjoying every second of it. We made a major accomplishment on our research project in the lab just before we left on holiday. I can really relax now.

Hi again.My workout for the day is done.I have done PUB, the cardio premix of KPC and the cardio and lower premix of bootcamp.I have done the abs of ME and the abs of basic step with the stability ball.After I will do 30 minutes in my stationary bike. I think I deserve a few of those Oreo balls ? :9 :9 Just joking.:D :D Have a great day.

Good morning,

This morning I did Karen Voight's BLT on a ball-not much of a workout but it was something to get me up and moving. I actually put Denise Austin in the VCR but I just couldn't tolerate her so that didn't happen (Still hanging on to them for someday when I'm pregnant and need something light-heck who am I kidding I will probably just modify Cathe:)-a lot).

Later today I am planning on IMAX Extreme and maybe some ab work. Going out for dinner to a great restraunt with all-you-can-eat garlic bread so I need to do some major cardio this afternoon.

Good morning!

This morning I did KPC premix4 (intermediate drills, combos 1 & 2), followed by Muscle Endurance. Good workout. I think the most challenging bit of ME is the second set of leg presses, because holding onto a 15lb dumbell after all that bicep work is exhausting. And why does Cathe use an extra riser in this workout? She only uses five for any of her other leg presses. Was she feeling particularly aggressive this day, or does it work the muscles a bit differently?

Josie - enjoy that 5k today! How often do you enter races? It sounds pretty frequent. Is that how you stay motivated to run every day? Has the son and family run out of junk food yet?

Katie - so? Can you program your dvd player? Did you do one of those TS workouts? I agree; a new combo is as good as a new workout! Is the family health improving?

Laurie - LOL at your description of the plyo jacks and tuck jumps. I've never really noticed Rhonda's tuck jumps before, but I'll be sure to look next time. When you do the plyo-jacks, do you point your toes out like a plie, or keep them straight? I'm not sure what the correct form is for that, so I kind of do a bit of both. CK Sales is located here in Edmonton, so I literally get their stuff the day after I order it. They received the BB dvds from Cathe on a Friday night, and mine were delivered to my house by noon on Saturday. I can't speak highly enough about their service. Loved reading the description of your girls and their highlights. Each one has their own personality, as reflected in their hair choices, hey? They sound like really lovely girls; you have every right to be a proud mama. I'm going to do either the IMAX2 "blast mania" premix, or "blast only" premix on Thursday next week. I haven't figured out yet what the difference is between the two.

Laurie Mac - how did the hoopla sleepover go? 5 kids ranging from 3 to 11 must have been very busy! Did anyone actually sleep? Did you get your workout in?

Jes - glad you did SB yesterday instead of IMAX2; that little mind game was for my benefit. When I made up the rotation the weekend before I'd just started my TTOM, and was feeling quite unenergetic. At the time, it seemed like too much to do both IMAXs in one week, so I chose not to do it. But I had a sneaking suspicion that by the end of the week I'd be feeling energetic again, so I planned it as optional. Funny how you *want* to do things when you know you don't *have* to. I think you need to follow your dream!

Suzanne - welcome to Canada, once again! How is the weather in Victoria? I can almost smell the damp, fresh air. How do you spend your time? Do you ever explore the little islands around Vancouver Island? I've heard such interesting things about the people on these little islands; I'd love to check them out. You probably need a boat, I imagine.

Annette - BodyMax step is tough! Good work getting through that! And your explanation of your weight work does indeed make logical sense, but I still have to say that you are quite strong to be able to do those workouts together. I'm impressed.

Lisa - did you have a nice rest? :)

Mariángeles - Great workout today!! I'm going to give that BC cardio premix a whirl this week. I think it is very interesting that you called this the "daily threath", sort of like a combination of "thread" and "breath"; seems appropriate somehow.

Sandy - I spent some time last night putting a rotation together. See what you think:

Me: Circuit Max; Bootcamp cardio premix; Slow & Heavy Legs
Sandy: do either the CM/BC cardio premix, or BootCamp on its own.

TUES
Me: Step & Intervals; SH Chest & Triceps
Sandy: gym total body weight workout

WEDS
Me: Step Jam; SH shoulders; abs from somewhere
Sandy: gym advanced cardio workout

THURS
Me: IMAX2 Blast Mania; SH Back & Biceps
Sandy: Legs & Glutes (add cardio if you like; the Blast Mania is about 1/2 hour, I believe).

FRI
Me: SJP Premix 5; SB Challenge; Ab marathon (PUB; KPC; ME)
Sandy: same; do only as much ab work as you want. The SJP premix is the 45 minute all cardio version with the step and hi/lo segments alternated.

SAT
Me: SB/SJP Premix 7; Push Pull
Sandy: SB/SJP Premix 7; Muscle Endurance Upper Body Premix. The SB/SJP premix is a 68 minute circuit, alternating SB combos with SJP weight work. The SB challenge is not included. You can shorten this premix by skipping some or all of the core work, since Friday should really toast the abs.

Boot camp. And that's IT! Not one more exercise, except hauling the laundry up and down the basement stairs! Oh - and cleaning the cat box - yuck.
 
Good morning! I am just dragging my butt today....I work in a Hair Salon and we went out for our X-mas party last night. Our local Ballet doing the Nutcracker. I really enjoyed it. One of the hairdressers had a bit too much to drink and so the trick was convincing her to give up her keys so we could drive her home!! It all worked out though but I didn't get into bed til around 12:30....I am thinking I am way too old for this...:). So, after a nap....I am doing either KPC or Taebo and one of Cathe's Shoulder, Biceps and Triceps workouts. Have a great day ladies....:)...Carole
 
Happy Saturday to all of you! there is some major working-out going on today!!! I am going to do ME today and MAYBE step portion of SJP. I dont have KPC and even if i did, i don't think i would be up for it today. For some reason, my lower back is pissed today! i have been on the heating pad all morning and all last night. I think it was the dead rows from C&W. i have never attempted those before and maybe i over-did itx( is it normal for lower back to get sore from these?

Mariangles.....you are amazing! You probably do enough cardio in one day to fill my entire week. Where do you get all of your energy from?

Sandra: Your rotation for next week sonds great and very challenging, but i don't have most of those workouts, so i may do this week's over again. i loved it. Is there a method to making a rotation, or is it just whatever sounds good at the time? Whatever it is, you seem to have a knack for it.

Josie: how is the new grandbaby?

Katie: is dh feeling better?

Jes really I don't know where I get my energy. I am surprised too. I hear the side step music what starts the IS and I dance. Maybe is the Cathe's spirit. These workouts are so much fun and Cathe is so motivating. More I do these workouts more I love them. I can not wait for the hardcore series.

Ohhh probably a rest day today, already gotten up taken boys to swimming lessons and then to the UPS store and now I am home again. Not sure if I will formally workout or not.
 
Hello All! Today I taught my classes at the gym, I love my Saturday mornings!!! I am thrilled to report that my IS DVD's came late yesterday. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I'll do a bunch of cardio tomorrow, definitely BC cardio only, bring it on!!! (I think:p) I'll check out my other premix options after we get the tree and house decorated!!:)

Wendy, huge congrats on your pregnancy. I only worked out during my third pregnancy, until I was 5 mos. and took a break. Despite the weight gain and swelling and nausea and ALL of that, I absolutely loved being pregnant, especially at Christmas, it's like being in a state of grace. All the best to you and your family:)

Carole, our gym party is tonight and I am still on the fence if I will go. Sometimes Christmas party dynamics get very strange, even more so when you're one of the few not drinking.

Sandra, I don't mind plyo jacks and tend to do them with my toes pointed out (just feels more stable to me). The out turned toes recruit more inner thigh muscles. When I referred to shoulder girdle stretches, I meant any stretches that involve the shoulder blades like your chest stretches, back opening stretches, arm across the front stretch, standing side bend stretch....my finger tips are fine but once in a while when I do bench presses my back teeth start to tingle (sounds so weird to write it...), the body is a strange and wonderful machine, I love my Anatomy Colouring Book too!!

Hi everyone,

Checking in LATE as usual! Today I did a quick 30 min. step workout before going in early...had an emergency surgery today so needed my energy. Then when I finally got home, I did an hour step workout.

I'm trying to do a lot of cardio right now, with just enough weight work to stay in the game. So far, so good! I do miss my heavier weight stuff though.

I just realized I didn't take my 6pm meds today, which is why I'm still awake running my mouth. ~sigh~
