Daily food checkin 6/10/05

breakfast: egg whites, turkey bacon, ww toast w/ sugar free jam and grapes

lunch: turkey burger pattie and watermelon

well, dh and i were going to go out, but not anymore, so dinner is a sweet potato and some veggies with chicken

Hmmmmmm... let's see if I can remember:

Breakfast - the usual
Snack - strawberries, grapes, apple
Lunch - Kidney beans with tomatoes, green pepper, zucchini, salsa and low fat cheese, yogurt
Dinner - grilled veggie sandwich with provolone cheese (I actually ate this in two halves about 2 hours apart, so I guess it's dinner AND a snack)
 
Breakfast: Late this morning, ate at 8:30AM
1 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup soy milk
Mid-morning: 2 pkgs graham crackers
mid-mid morning: 2 packages saltines
Late lunch: italian salad loaded with olives, olive oil & vinegar
feta cheese
chicken casserole of some kind from the cafeteria

Today went downhill quick. I worked in Day Surgery & got really busy with a bunch of patients. I was starving by the time I went to lunch & scarfed down that disgusting casserole. Then I ate a turkey sandwich around 6:30 PM & went home, stopped by 7/11 for a six pack of Coronas. I'm tired & grumpy & want to go to bed early. No workout today!

Marla - sorry you had such a stressful day! Wish I could have came by and shared that 6 pack with you!:)

Here's my menu for today:

pre-workout: 1/3 Luna bar plus water

breakfast: LARGE bowl of granola cereal (my FAVE breakfast) with skim milk (I did IMAX2 before so I really needed it!!!

lunch: salad with Greek dressing, chicken, chopped apples, pecan pieces, lowfat feta, and of course, lettuce plus 10 pieces of dark chocolate M&Ms:9

Dinner: tuna with lowfat mayo and celery and 3 pieces of lowfat bread, baked Lays, and lowfat sour cream

(It was a cardio day for me - on strength days, I try to have more protein and less carbs)
 
Thanks for posting these, Jes! I'm going to start posting up in this thread, it's like a journal swap. I love to journal swap! hehe ;) I welcome any comments and constructive criticism, as always. :)

6/10 Friday

Meal 1: vanilla soymilk, egg whites, little bit of walnuts, about half a yolk, mixed berries, oatmeal

Meal 2: boca burger, 1/2 oz lf cheddar, brown rice, big salad with grape tomatoes, carrots, celery and onion with a tiny bit of olive oil and balsamic

Snack: banana and a couple of walnuts

Meal 3: Lean Cuisine Spa meal of Chicken Pecan (sugar snap peas and brown rice) and a big helping of spinach with garlic and a tiny bit of olive oil

Snack: Kashi Chewy granola bar

Meal 4: 1 oz lf mexican blend cheddar, low carb ww tortilla, 1/4 cup black beans, serving of homemade veggie soup

Can you believe that after all that food I still didn't eat enough calories today? x( :p Broke down to 29% Fat (nice and low in saturated fat though) 44% carbs and 27% protein. I'm shooting for 25% fat/45% carb/35% protein.
