Good morning!! Today is usually my rest day and I'm leaning that direction. I don't have to go anywhere today and I need to get LIC in, I'm a day behind on the rotation. Not sure what I'm going to do yet... I have to study the rotation for next week and figure out how to work in LIC with it.

Hi Jane, happy rest day!

I am seriously thinking about ditching the workout on the rotation and going OUTSIDE FOR A WALK! It is (at 6am) already 46 degrees and that sounds like Spring after our awful weather all Jan & Feb !!!
Of course, it's going to RAIN so I am just hoping I can get it in before the rain starts.

If I can't, I'm going to do a modified version of LIC or one of the premixes on it.

Hope everyone has a great day! It's back to work and school at my house and it looks like it's going to be a "full" four day week- for a change. ha

Good morning.

Jane, I did LIC today. Well, I had to modify because I forgot that it was so long. I completed through the 3rd blast, skipped the upper and lower body work, and resumed with the abs and stretch.

Tammy, IMAX 3 is not my favorite either. It's on the rotation this week, and I really think I'm going to sub it out for IMAX 2. do you modify and of the blasts in 3? There are 1 or 2 that I do my own thing to.

Becky, I understand about exercising in the living room. I sometimes feel guilty on the weekend when I have to kick the family out of the room. That's another reason why I like to wo early in the morning. I don't feel as if I'm disturbing anyone!

Annette, while my son plays #1 singles in his school, he is still not good enough to get a scholarship at most of the larger schools. He could probably get some money from the small schools, but he says that he feels a small school is like highschool all over again. He loves tennis so much, that I know it took a lot for him to make that decision. I hope that your DS continues with it and that opportunites present themselves.

Jane, I hope you figure out the best way to fit in LIC. I know you will, you are quite good at that.

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today is BC, but I'll do the everything but core premix, and then go back and do the core only premix.

Jane: Enjoy your rest! You are the master of rotation tweaking, so I know you'll figure it all out;)

Becky: Enjoy your warmer temps...it is still cold here. My son is on February break this week.

Phyllis: Good job with LIC...I really like that workout. I don't modify anything in IM#3...maybe I should start to!

Heather: You sound glorious! My all-time favorite Cathe is IM#2, but I like IM#1 too. IM#3 just has me baffled. I like the music and the choreography, but my HR drops considerably during the step sections and then the blasts are just over the top! It just doesn't hold any fun factor for me.

Okay weight workout is complete.
I did NEW stuff today!:)

I just got 2 Amy Bento dvds and today tried All Pump Xtreme upperbody premix and Ab section #1 from Abs & stretch.
REALLY liked it.
Her form slipped a few times on Abs & Stretch but we know better so I just did it right (thank you Cathe;) ), but I really liked her different exercises .....it started out doing standing exercises with weights, not just different versions of crunches- which can get so boring to me.
Also some new stuff on APX......I really enjoyed the change.

I will still walk for cardio. Maybe with my new man SEAN!:D :eek: ;)
 
Hey everyone,

Phyllis - I am with you, just don't like Imax 3 all that much. Cathe is too serious and there just isn't any fun factor in it for me...I subbed Tracey's Step intensity mix for it on the rotation and felt no guilt whatsoever!

Today was supposed to be an off day, but I like putting in some extra cardio, so I did Gay's Cardio Step Express and core workout. Fun!! She reminds me of Christi in this one, not much tifting at all!

I took a minute to look at the rotation while on break... today will be a rest day, and I need it after CF yesterday!

Tomorrow will be LIC, Thur L&G, and Fri (since I'm off for my comp day, work the weekend), I'll do PH and the 45 min run and then I'll be caught up and go from there...
 
Phyllis, has he tried some of the larger schools? You mentioned most of the larger schools maybe there is one out there that would give him even a partial scholarship. Our local high school doesn't even has a tennis team, how's that, and we have such a nice indoor tennis club right here, go figure. We homeschool so this is the only way for my son to pursue his love of tennis. We aren't pushing him to do tournaments or anything but if he continues into the summer again he will have to go to a summer tennis camp because the club where he plays now (and has done their tennis camps though not all day) only takes kids in the summer through intermediate level and they have told me that he will be considered advanced after this session. If he chooses not to go the tournament route then we will just buy him a membership to the tennis club and let him play for fun.

I did various upper body weight work though no back but with abs today. Off of the Pure Strength series.

I'm back from my visit and rearing to go again with my exercises. I can hardly wait to meet you all and to see what exercises you do to keep fit.

Hey gals.

I did the BC cardio and lower body premix skipping the stretch and moving right into the lower body only premix. Now that my legs are fried I will be doing about 20 mins of Yoga X since I was not able to get yoga in last week!

Daily Check-in

This will be a short update because I am tired beyond description tonight. I am fixin’ to resign from my career as an evening exerciser. I am a morning glory girl all the way. I bounced on my rebounder this morning. I need that little burst of energy to jumpstart my day.

This was a relatively peaceful day. My eating was clean again even though I was tired and tempted to reach for something sweet to energize me. I resisted and enjoyed a cup of herb tea instead.

I did Push Pull tonight for the first time since last year. This was the perfect match for my energy level. Supersets is more fun and more like my personality most of the time. Push Pull is more melancholy. It has an almost meditative quality to it. I am able to lift heavier, so it is actually more challenging in a way. Because I was so tired, I had to follow Cedie’s modification instead of doing the inverted shoulder presses. I was afraid I would fall on my head and break my neck! I attempted one and felt too unstable to continue.

The unusually cold winter in Texas has totally wrecked havoc on my feet. My heels are dry and cracked. Ouch! I have been pampering my feet for a week, and they are starting to improve. I think I will schedule a professional pedicure to get ready for sandals. It was a beautiful day today. I walked to the courthouse this afternoon and delighted in the gorgeous weather. This is my kind of winter day with temperatures in the 70s!
