Daily Check in Weekend of May 11 & 12, 2013

Hi everyone,

Today I did Jari's Extremely Ripped 1000 hardcore - or something like that. the names are soooo confusing. it was good and mainly a cardio workout. The reps are beyond acceptable - 6 sets? each side? of 80 reps each set or more? puhleeze! But I was a sweaty mess at the end which was a great result. Then I moved on and exhale core fusion pilates plus pure core segment.

I hope you all get in a workout. Where's Carmen. Did I miss something? I know she hurt her knee - must still be healing.

Thanks for your offer, I will think about it. I just don't know if there is anything out there right now that I am dying for.

Feeling better, but not 100 pct. With DH having his disability, I don't get the chance to be sick, so I have to keep going as best as I can.
I actually did Crossfire today. Bear in mind I use the rebounder for the high impact sections, but I was huffing and puffing.

Chores and yardwork today, mulch coming next week..oh joy.
 
Hi ladies today I worked out in the pool. 20 side leg lifts. 20 front push kicks, 15 V sits on the bench in the pool, 15 tricep dips off that bench, 10 standing crescent knee rolls.

My knees is not healing. I still limp and have pain. I'm calling an ortho on Monday. I've had a some health set back since starting back to work. Not sure if God is trying to tell me something, last week I was on antibiotics for throat and sinus infection, and to top it off a small something was seen in a uterine ultrasound so they are suggesting surgery to remove it. I remain upbeat and eating lots of salads and veggies. My weight has remained about the same and the waist on some of my pants is getting roomy.

Hi ladies,

Carmen - I think your body is reacting to all the stress you have been under for so long with various things going on in your life.
1) Call the ortho - I think that knee needs total down time..
2) See what tests can be run to better determine what the doctor calls a "something" in "ladyland". Unless it is an actual surgeon, sometimes they throw things around in conversation that they shouldn't. Be aggressive in your approach.
DH has the flu now, which is not good for an MS patient. Hopefully he will be okay in a day or so, but right now he is driving us crazy. DS and I have been there, we know how it feels, but DH is not happy unless we are attending to him all the time. There is really nothing to do but sleep and try to drink some water, that is it. It will run its course.
DS and I plan on doing lawnwork today as well as usual chores.

Happy Mother's Day ladies - Today I did a short PUB workout - sort of freestylin' it. Going to concentrate on upper body, yoga/stretching, and maybe some lower body this week.

We are grilling today! :cool:

Connie the ultrasound was done by my gyn. she thinks it may be a polyp but not sure. I have been having some irregular bleeding so this may be the culprit. Hope your hubby over comes flu soon.

I didn't get a chance to workout until late today. I just finished. I did Xtrain Chest/Back/Shoulders + 100 rep challenge lat raises.

Conni - You have a strong will. I am always impressed with how hard you work. Who taught you this work ethic? Mom? Dad?

Carmen - I am sorry to hear that you have been having health issues. I'm sure you are right about the 'culprit'. I wish you good health and continued recovery with your knee. Good for you for still finding a way to keep fitness in your life despite your setbacks. It shows how important fitness is to you - and to us all!
