Hi Everyone,

Today I did another Yvette Bachman workout. She really reminds me a lot of Cathe, actually. I guess that's why I like her so much. I like the music, the moves, her etc.. She is Cathe c'mon. Same moves, similar music etc..

I have not tried fit split just due to time. i will check them out soon.

Have a good coooooooold weekend everyone. I am working today (just three clients so not too long of a day).

Enjoy the weekend and your workouts.

Hi Siobhan. I did Yvette this morning too. It was the HiiT,step with kettle bells and heavy weights. I went really light for the “heavy” upper body. Yes, she is a lot like Cathe in her choice of moves but I think she has different names for them....we did Slam its, fast feet shuffle, swim lunges etc. All Cathe moves but a lot of fun!

Record breaking cold here too!!

Hi to everyone, I’ll check back later.

Where’s Linda? We haven’t had a QOTD .

Hi ladies,

Solemn day here, attended a memorial service for a prominent member of our neighboring community and a member of the church we attend. He was only 66 and died unexpectedly on New Years Day of a massive stroke.

So no workout for me, just lots of standing, (70 minutes ) then sitting for the service and then ~45 minutes of more standing to try again to speak with the family.

Church was packed and they live broadcast it on FB.

We also found out that my husband's step sister's son died on Tuesday or Wednesday in Delaware while on a job with his father. Died in his sleep of maybe an aneurysm, he was only 32 with 4 son's, 2 step and 2 biological. His body was being flown back to Texas where this family all live.

Sad times.

Cold with negative wind chills here.

Hi girls, sure been cold...yesterday I did a Jenny Ford step workout from new DVD, I have hurt my foot again,
So need to ease it up a bit.....Hope everyone is good.....take care...:)

Hi Everyone,

Geesh Annette - sorry to read your news. very sad. I hope you got a chance to speak with the family.

Peg - I did another Yvette today. It's not good for my foot but what can I say - i just love cardio and have missed it immensely. I modify to low impact to minimize strain

Linda - I've never done Jenny Ford. I don't even know much about her - plus - I am not a fan of step workouts.

Ferrrreeeezing again today. whoa. We took down our tree yesterday and I've gotten a lot done from my list today already which is rather freeing. I start a Tarot Reading course this evening. I already know a bit but just want to learn more this year so I can read with confidence. Love Tarot!

Have a great day friends.

Hi ladies,

Annette - so sorry to read your sad news.

Rest day yesterday, just lots of walks with Mick.

This morning I took Mick to a trial swimming class at 9. I was on the fence about going as he had woken up for a bottle at 6, which meant chances were I would have to wake him to go. In the end he woke up on his own and we made it there on time, despite an unexpected layer of ice on my car. It was definitely cold today!

Mick loved swimming, but I wasn't too impressed with the class. It was two songs in a circle at the start and end and in between just playing with the babies on your own in the pool, and then they charge you 30 euros per month for going 30min a week, plus a sign up fee. I can play with him in a pool on my own... no need for the songs with them and if I just pick a public pool we have more options with what time we go and if we go. Anyways, it was fun to try and good to know Mick enjoys being in the water, now I just need to find a public pool with warmer water to try next weekend... or during the week while I am on leave.

Back home we had breakfast and then went to a really long walk. Brrrr! So cold out. 2 degrees, but serious chill factor!

Once back home Mick napped for a long time, so first I relaxed with a book and a cup of tea and then when he stayed asleep I decided to try the one FS DVD I had not tried any of yet: Cardio Shred and Push. The Cardio was real high impact, so some I really had to modify, others I tried to keep up. I did what I could and as for Push... well my shoulders are definitely not as strong as Cathe's! Ouch! Solid weight work though. Not my favorite workout, but good.

I love Yvette's workouts too.. I will try more next week. As for Jenny Ford, despite loving step, I just don't click with her. I guess we can't love them all.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Henriette, about Jenny Ford, to be honest, I don't overly "click" with her either :), but I enjoy her step workouts,
as the ones I have done are pretty basic and easy step combos, not alot of learning curves, these done at different locations are kinda
interesting tho'. I did the Mt Rushmore one, it was short, about 17-18 min. It's shorter than the rest on the dvd, but it started pouring down
rain so I imagine that is why this one was shorter. I chose that one, cause my foot hurts and I probably should not have even done that !

Hi everyone. It seems our newest members are missing.

Siobhan, I’m now subscribing to Yvette’s you tube workouts. I think that means I’ll get a notification when she posts a new one. She’s tough but fun- probably because she’s similar to Cathe.

Annette, I’m so sorry for your somber day. That must be shocking for both families. My condolences.

Linda, are your workouts part of your recent purchase? I’ve never done Jenny Ford either but I enjoy Step. Have you done a blender yet with the new Fit splits?

Henriette I did Shred cardio today too. Just the cardio as I’m still resting my shoulders. It’s alomost impossible to leave my shoulders alone. Anyway, I enjoyed the cardio although I’m not a fan of tuck jumps. Some of those moves were challenging with all those jumps!

After the cardio I did a 45 minute stretch by Karen Voight. I bought 2 stretch routines at Mary’s latest sale. I’m feeling old I guess. It was really nice. I sooo admire her physique!

A big hello to Elsie and Missy and perhaps some lurkers.

I did a bunch of things this weekend. Mainly I played with Seasun Zieger's the Next Step. I'm working on the first combo. I'm starting to figure her out a little bit. Her timing is different than Cathe's. I also did the Fit Split boxing. I did real well with that one. Not bad at all.

I'm probably going to the gym tomorrow. It's supposed to warm up this week finally.

Ladies, if you pray please do now, brother in law taken to hospital with possible stroke, he is 56. Thanks
