Hi ladies,

Today was my aerobic circuit class that I taught, then 25 minutes of weight work, and a total of 26 minutes walking to and from the gym so 13 minutes each way.

It is hotter today which didn't help.

Have a great day![emoji3]

Today was day 10 of xtrain so an hour long workout of legs! Intense or what! Ladies does any body suffer from shin splints? My left shin has been painful since I started this programme and I'm just pushing through it at the moment but wondered if the pain will get better soon? Please help

Hi ladies,

PamRosa - I actually suffer from terrible shin splints. They are the reason I no longer play basketball myself. I tried one basketball training with a ladies team I think 4 weeks ago tomorrow and my shins have not fully recovered yet. [emoji53] I have stayed away from high impact and running since then, but I love high impact. Stuff like a zillion jumping jacks, like in several Cathe w/o's is also killer for my shins.

I have finally decided to get professional help as I hate not being able to do everything that I want and it seemed silly not seeing a sports physio when my 9 year old goes for his sports related issues. I have an appointment on Monday night, so I will let you know. I have heard that the problem could for instance be with my ankles and then my shins try to support me and overwork. I guess I will know more Monday and then you could try things at home or also see a sports physio seeing your reason for tje splints could be completely different.

So far, today, I have only worked and given 2 trainings, this time not really joining in with the drills. Will try to get some cardio done now, but not sure how much my stomach, head, shins and ankles can handle. I seem to have a whole list of things that aren't feeling great. [emoji51] Will report back later.

Okay... I am back. I survived an hour of bodycombat, but I fear what my shins will feel like tomorrow. Jumping jacks & running man are not my friends at the moment!

Have a good night.

Hi Everyone,

Today I did RWH Back/Biceps - premix with 4 sets of each move. It was about 60 minutes. I really liked it!

PamRosa, the only time my shins start to hurt is when I need to change my shoes. Good luck!

Greetings! Sounds like everybody has gotten in some good workouts today...I hope to do a leg workout later
This evening after my walk. PamRosa, my shins will bother me if I do too much higher impact, thus the reason
I modify most all the time if I can. I have a lot of foot pain issues from time to time, ranging from ankles to
Toes, which in turn, can make my calves/ shins hurt from walking too carefully trying to be careful and in turn
Making other parts hurt! I guess that's what they mean when it's said: One part leads to another!!

Thanks all for your replies...it's good to know I'm not alone. Aqua girl I too suffer from lots of different aches and pains and was told by my doctor that it could be a symptom of the vote d deficiency which is exacerbated by excess weight so I'm trying to lose weight but it's a catch 22. Anyway you ladies have a good evening.

Yes, I have heard of the vit.D deficiency and had the test sometime ago and it was ok. I take calcium & vit. D3
Everyday. I think some of my problems is I have "fallen" arches so I do put extra insoles in my shoes which help.
I was able to get in my walk, do my leg workout, & even did a 20 min abs workout too, so I feel accomplished !'
Today anyway. LOL!

Hey ladies. What great workouts you all got in yesterday! Way to go!! :)
Very sorry PamRosa & Henriette that you are having issues with your shins. I am not sure if what I have is exactly shin splints as it just affects one leg (I have scoliosis and experience nearly everything one-sided), but I have just started with kinesiology taping for this and for a bunion. I will update with any progress! Also, what Ceci is saying about shoes I think can make a real big difference. I do better with minimalist shoes although I work out barefoot for everything but step. It makes a huge difference in developing knee strength for me. Glad your Vit D levels are great, AG! Very important to protect against osteoporosis.

I wish I could keep cathe live like you have elsie but - like henriette - i cannot afford all this streaming so I have to pick and choose. for a while it was cathe, then suzanne bowen, then cathe and now pilates by lisa - which I looooooooooooove. It's $25/mth cdn which is steep but I am really enjoying it. she is tough. And I agree, some barre streaming is ridiculous.
Sounds like you are doing very well with Pilates, Ceci. :) I will definitely be checking her out sometime. I really LOVE Cathe LIVE & have enjoyed it for the two months I signed up ......I have just under 2 weeks left, so would like to fit in as much as I can! lol. It is really fun. I think I will sign up again sometime in the New Year if everything goes as planned. LIVE is not that costly, but yes, everything definitely adds up right? lol.

So, I didn't work out yesterday & will see you ladies later today! Thanks for keeping me accountable ....I feel like I have been a ball of meh lately.
