Hello all! Today is CTX Step & Intervals and some abs. I may try out some walking lunges around my basement to build up for the bootcamp rotation.
I usually do my workout's in the morning before work but I had to get up at 1:30 this morning to pick up my brother and SIL from the airport. Good thing I'm close but round trip was around an hour.
I did Kickmax blasts on my rebounder. This was my first time doing it this way. Lots of fun to do and way to funny to see me. I am so glad I work out in my basement (no windows) I also did 1 punching combo and some of the standing leg work.
I hope to get some floor leg work in and abs this afternoon.
Wendy: I am trying to follow the freestyle rotation template you posted on the rotation forum. How long do your workouts take?
I know many doing freestyle spend more time on leg work but I keep it pretty short and it works for me. As you can see also, there is room to play with the timings of everything and still fit it in a 90 minute time period.
I re-worked my rotation for January and my work outs are taking more time now because I am doing longer cardio sessions this month.
I was up and at it at 4:15 this morning.! I was not looking forward to IMAX and MIC step so early but I did it and I am proud! It was actually a lot fun since I had not done these 2 in a long time! I am really excited about this rotation!! Susan
I usually get in about 60min. If I could just get my butt out of bed earlier I could easily fit 90 min in. I guess that should be my new years resolution.:+
Today was GS Chest & Triceps plus the biceps portion of GS Shoulders, Back and Biceps (Had to make up for Monday). I completed all the push ups (on the knees, of course)!!
Cardio was 40 minutes on the treadmill (walk/run intervals on an incline).
I'm curious about this freestyle method. Is it something you do after you're already fit to keep challenging yourself, or would it be appropriate for an intermediate exerciser, and does it help with weight loss? I guess I'd better go do a search.
Freestyle is meant for those who bulk up (and do not want that result) in the legs when using heavy weights. It's good for those who want to TRIM DOWN already bulky legs and I'm sure it can also be used by anyone who wishes to not go heavy on lower body but still wants to work that area hard...I don't see why not, anyway!
Hope you are all having a great day! Well, since I just started my first Cathe rotation I have today off. It only calls for four days of cardio this week (then goes to five next week, then the following week six) so I didn't do a thing. I wanted to wake up this morning and do it by it probably isn't a good idea to push it at first. Don't want to get injured. Good job on all of your workouts....can't wait until I am in shape like all of you out there!!!
