Back to my regularly scheduled workouts! Power Hour today - sounds like a super hero show;). No work for me today. We're going to watch the Pennsville girls tennis team at the state tournament! They have done so well this year. I'm thrilled for them. Today will be a blast! What a wonderful way for my DD to end her high school tennis career!

Vilma, thanks for the info about the kettlebell space. It sounds very doable.

Becky, thanks for the Jane update! Yes, tell her I say hello.:) (don't forget the smilie part)
 
Good Morning !

I slept ! On my own (no melatonin yet) ! Just was so sleepy and tired I felt like I'd have to sleep, and I went to bed after Biggest Loser and just woke up at 5 .:D:D

Phyllis, I'll pass on the message AND Smiley! ;)

I am SORE from the KB workout. I was already sore yesterday, so I knew I was in for it ! So today I'll stick with cardio. Maybe a bike ride, I'm not sure yet.

The Kettlebell Way is planned today.

I just checked my youngest and she still running a fever so no school again for her today :( I need to contact her teacher and wish I had her email - now I need to traack her down at school today over the phone.


Phyllis Enjoy PH - I really like that one as it seems to move quickly for me plus knowing the exercises has the songs to each is nice.

Your welcome about the space needed for kettlebells. I use the 6 puzzlemats just in case I may drop the kbell which I have not and to protect my hardwood flooring. Not much space is required as you don't move much - well only your core ;)

Becky Wow thats wonderful about your sleep last night.

Do you feel soreness in areas you've not felt before? That kettlebell is so unassuming isn't it? I love it :eek:

A bike ride sounds really nice!

Deanie Leaner Legs I remember so many leg presses with that one but its been ages since I've visited that workout enjoy yourself with that one.

Today was a cardio day - Rob's Step Gone Wild, and then abs from LIC.
 
OMG I cannot describe the DOMS I have today !!! Deep in the glutes and inner thighs mostly . Major OUCHIE!!:eek::eek:

I did a short (35 min.) but really intense hilly bike ride, then an extended stretch. Felt great.

Connie, thanks. It's amazing how much better I feel when I actually sleep!!:cool: So THIS is what energy feels like ???? ha
It was only 6 hours of sleep - which I guess is still under what is recommended, but it was solid and it felt GOOD!:):)

It's only 29 degrees here this morning , so I am eating oatmeal with f/s and cinnamon and drinking hot green tea.

Hi all, since I hadn't done any weight work for about a week I have DOMS this morning in my chest then I did shoulders today so I am really feeling it. sigh.

I did CTX LL warm up then did CTX shoulders (that is a killer shoulder workout if I don't say so myself), then did about 25 min. of taebo with weighted gloves on. Felt good today.

I'd meant to say how glad I am that the vertigo is gone !!!! What great news ! :)

I now have DOMS all through my thighs and glutes. Honestly, I can't believe it. I do leg workouts weekly and this one KB workout with a ten pound dumbbell has me really wincing in pain !!
I'm sure it's the good kind and not the bad kind (injury)......but I can't believe how deep in there it is !!!
Xtra stretching for me until it's gone !!!!;)

Vilma did you say you do KB workouts twice a week ? I think this is going to take me the rest of the week to recover !!!! :eek:

Wow, Becky you must have tortured yourself...!

At this point I have no desire to buy any more equipment, though I admit KB's really peak my interest.
You may get me going, who knows?

It's so weird. I did the whole workout straight through and maybe that was too much for a first time ..? Or it's just such a different kind of workout that it worked muscles normally not used as much, or in the same way? ? I'm really not sure I understand it but I DID love the workout . It made me feel focused and strong while I was doing it . And if DOMS are a good indication, it is very VERY effective !:eek:;)

I'm with you on not wanting to start spending money at this point on more workouts or equipment but this really peaked my interest and I just kept reading more and more about it and decided I wanted to try it out. And not to try to convince you , but I'm glad I did. It's a completely different way to workout .
