Daily Check-in
This was a wonderful day! It started with Maximum Intensity Cardio. I cannot believe I avoided this cardio workout for so long. I am not wild about dated workouts in general, but I had a blast with this one. It is a fun workout even though the choreography is not dancy at all. Cathe starts out with a warm-up and a low impact combination that is nothing to write home about. I was not sure I would like this workout after the first few minutes. The music during the first half of the hi-lo is not the best. I liked the medium impact segment okay. What hooked me was the boxer’s shuffle segment. I did that on my rebounder and had such a good time! I could not stop smiling. What a high! The music picked up too. Fun, fun, fun! I was higher than a kite and feeling no pain by the end of that song. This is definitely good old-fashioned high impact aerobics that reminds me of my high school days. I am a hi-lo lover and an intensity junkie, so this workout satisfied me on both counts. I prefer the hi-lo in Step, Jump, & Pump, but I like this workout too. It makes me feel so good! The step segment of this workout is the best part with better music. I enjoyed the rock press off the side and the sashays. I was flying across the step during the second combination because I was too energized to feel the fatigue. The super intense step blast segment at the end left me drenched in sweat and begging for mercy. I was jumping up and down on the inside, but my body was tired and ready for a nap after it was over. My legs felt like noodles, and I was tripping all over myself when I tried to do grapevines during the cool-down. Speaking of the cool-down, what a great song! The soothing stretch felt so good. I still feel good tonight. Glory!
I stepped outside this morning feeling energized from my workout and was delighted by the beautiful weather that greeted me. The weather was even nicer later in the day.
I went to the club after work and jogged in the pool. I do not know where Rebecca has been. I hope she is not still under the weather. She has not been answering her cell phone, and her mailbox is full. I miss my workout friend.
My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. I need to bless my body with enough restful sleep tonight to recharge for Boot Camp. I hope I do not regret attempting it the morning after such an intense cardio workout. I can do anything for a minute. Yes, I can! I got more sleep last night and expect to sleep like a baby tonight. Between Maximum Intensity Cardio this morning and a refreshing water jogging workout tonight, I am tired and ready to call it a day.
Blessings,
Heather B.
