Hello everyone. Happy Valentines Day.

Jane , I hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Becky, although it was pretty slick last night, we didn't get much snow accumulation here. Its raining now, so I'm fraid it will get more slippery.I think I'll be joining you in shufflemax!

Conni, I'm with you on the winter loathing!

Wendy, nice leg work. I was due for sometoday, but I opted to rest instead.

Annette - take care of that cold.

Welcome Katie.

Good morning Phyllis and all that follow!

I did enjoy my rest day yesterday. Today is a 45 minute steady state run and I believe I'll turn on the TV and put on my music and keep it steady. I'll try to keep it off the Food Network channel which I LOVE but all they have on there this week is chocolate! I've had to turn it a few time! How sad is that? LOL....

Heather- no shortbread crumbs! I can't take credit though for having willpower of steel...uh... I have a little confession.... I lock all tempting foods in my husband's gun safe and gave him both keys. He works out of town during the week and the temptation is safely locked away. Now, how sad is that!!??.... I think I'm telling y'all too much and letting you know just how crazy I really am!:p

Have a good one!

Kim & Cassidine: Hi!

Good Morning fit chics!

LOL, yes Tammy! B&B!!! How did you know? :7 :+ :7

Phyllis: So are you gonna do my leg burner on your next leg day? }(

Jane: I love SS runs. Enjoy.

I LOATHE winter too !!!!!

We got more snow and ice last night and this morning. DH made it all the way to work only to be told it was closed and no one thought to call him!!! Good thing is, at least he gets the day off !!

Power is out all over and we've been lucky so far and ours is on.

The ice is beautiful in the trees, but causing all kinds of damage and yesterday a limb fell on a 9 yr girl who was out walking her dog and killed her!!! It's very dangerous to be out there right now.

My only exercise today is going to be shovelmax. I'm hoping the snowblower will work today.......yesterday there was too much ice and we had to shovel everything.
There won't be time to get in a regular workout with DD & DH both home but I think shoveling counts.

It's -7 with the windchill this morning. You bet I plan to do layermax again too !!!!

Stay warm & safe everyone!

Hi everyone, I am still here!!!

Finally made it to work today, after 2 workouts of shovelmax, layermax, and overall freeze my tushymax!

I actually worked out before tackling the driveway this morning. I did Marcus Irwin's Airborne, a very dancy hi/lo workout ( 60 minutes plus ) and ab hits.

Stay warm, hang in there Becky, I think this may be the last blast for awhile!!:) x(

Wendy, I think I will do the leg blast from B&G, but not today. Is that your leg burner?

We lost power today also. I didn't to to work and the kids didn't have school. I havent been home for a snow day in a long time - its kinda fun!

Phyllis, Well B&G Leg Blast Premix IS one of the burners but I was referring to what I did y'day! DM cardio leg blast premix plus an extra round of all of the leg exercises after the premix is complete!}(

I have serious DOMS in my legs from y'day's workout, btw! OMG, it set in around mid-morning and feels like I am being stabbed in the quads every time I get up to walk!YEOW!}( }(

Hi ladies. Today was actually a rest day for me. I plan to take it slow for the first week or two and take 2 days off until my body adjust to the workouts again. I figure that by the end of the month I should be back to 6 days a week, but I have a history of pushing too hard too fast and getting hurt in the process. And now with my back still in recovery I know that I need to take it slow.

Hope everyone is having a great Valentine's with their loved ones.

Katie

Hi Tammy and Phyllis,

I am feeling a little better, I slept better last night but it is starting to move to my chest so I took another day off from exercising. I still can't breathe from my nose all the time and I seem to be constantly blowing it. My poor dh can't go out to get me more cold medicine because of the snow and ice we got yesterday and last night. I have one dose left and I am waiting till later to take it so I can sleep better.

Thanks for asking about me.:D

>Wendy, I don't think I'm up for that much DOMS, so I'll stick
>with the leg blast alone.
>
>Phyllis

I got a bit more then I bargained for myself BUT I have not been doing as much/as intense leg work since starting the X so I gotta wonder if I would be in so much pain if I had kept up on lower body w/the X all along??

Daily Check-in

Happy Valentine’s Day! I am halfway through the first 90 days of this year, and I am still in the race! Even after a small stumble earlier this week, I am still pleased with my progress.

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. to another cold morning. I did not want to get up and move, so I curled up under my favorite quilt with my Bible. I returned to my Breaking Free Bible study this morning.

Lent does not officially begin until next Wednesday, but I started a 40-day journey today. I am refocusing and changing my priorities for a season. I believe God is calling me to fast the big Cs (cheese, chocolate, and clutter) for 40 days. I am also turning my schedule upside down and bumping the other big C (my beloved Cathe workouts) to the evening hours. I want to put first things first and focus on Bible study and prayer during this season. It will be good for me to be still and know that He is God.

Debbie (my co-worker) gave me a Dove chocolate rose for Valentine’s Day. I was not tempted for a second. I have committed this season to the Lord. The chocolate will still be there in 40 days. I am also hoping to clear as much clutter as possible out of my home by the end of this 40 days. I have so much paper clutter. It is unbelievable. That will be my weekend project.

This was a good day with no cravings for dairy and no temptation to indulge in junk. I ate natural peanut butter on my Ezekiel bread tonight instead of cream cheese. Yummy!

I went to the club after work and jogged in the pool then did Rhythmic Step later tonight. It is going to be a big sacrifice and challenge for me to save my Cathe workouts for after work. I love starting my day with her! This workout was so much more intense tonight. I could tell that my heart rate was higher too. I am such a morning girl. This schedule change will be a good way to shock my body. I will definitely be ready to return to my morning Cathe workouts in April. I hope my body acclimates to evening workouts soon. Cathe energizes me earlier in the day, but she wiped me out tonight. I did perk up during the challenge. That is my favorite part of the workout! Fun, fun, fun!

I am very tired tonight. I want to start getting more sleep at night, and that will be a priority too. I started over again with my Bible reading in Genesis and hope to read as much as possible before Easter.

I am excited about this next chapter of my journey. Working out with Cathe after work will be my greatest challenge. As my pastor encourages me, I will do it as a discipline until it becomes a delight.

Jane, you are so funny. That is a very creative use for a gun safe!

Conni, what you do think of Marcus Irwin?

Blessings,
Heather B.
