G'morning ladies!

It was a rollover morning for me. I'm TIRED from Cathe's wo yesterday - not too sore - just tired. I may be a little dehydrated too. I really need to drink more. I just don't seem to have much of a thirst mechanism. So, no wo for me to report.

Good morning , I think !

I had another short night. Tossed and turned until I got up at 3 :(

My KB workout- The KB Way arrived yesterday and I am so anxious to try it out, but I have a question. I did CTX UB yesterday. Should I wait a day or two before trying it ?
How do you fit it in with other workouts ??

For now I'm undecided about today's workout , but I'll bb once I figure it out.

Sorry about your lack of energy Phyllis .

Becky

Good Morning Phyllis, Becky& All who follow

I plan on doing a 40-60min. run today.

My youngest is home sick once again, she was complaining of a sore throat. This morning she is running a fever and told me her two best friends also have sore throats and were not in school yesterday - ugh!

Phyllis I'm sure you deserve a roll over day after that grueling class you guys took with Cathe.

Becky

Sorry you didn't have a restful night

Go ahead and try out The Kettlebell Way - you'll be using your hips mainly just remember to 'snap' your hips during the up swings and to the tutorial ;)

What I've been doing is alternate days of kettlebells w/ cardio in between.

I also do this :

M&W Kettlebells
T&H runs
F- Total Body workout or a UB workout
Sat. kickboxing

You can fit kettlebells into your rotation as a TB workout they are very flexible on how you work it in.

Have a great Day all - I'll be the one drinking Airborne & Emergen-C throughout the day

Good Morning Gals

Today was DM scrambled cardio (and I added drill 1 on at the end) and LIC abs. I keep forgeting how good LIC abs is! It may be my favorite!

Phyllis ~ Sounds like you had a great time at the club with Cathe's class and crew! I wish I could join you all, but I am 2 hours away!! maybe one day....

Becky ~ have a fun workout! Sorry you didn't get a full nights sleep

Vilma~ enjoy your run. Hope your DD feels better. Oct/Nov are usually "sore throat/cold" months around my home too.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Ugh, Vilma, I hope you don't come down with anything. You know that when mama doesn't feel good, then nobody's happy!

Becky, how long does it take for the melatonin to start working?

Deanie, that's a tough drill. DM isn't one of my favs.

Becky, what are hearing from Jane? I was remembering that adorable pumpkin picture with Joseph.:) I guess that was last year?

OMG!!! I am a KB CONVERT !!!

I just did The Kettlebell Way and I LOVED IT !!!
I am NOT just imagining that I already feel it in my backside !!!!!

I did do it all with a 10 pound dumbbell. I just needed to run through it once before I tried the 20# KB. I think for some of the exercises that will be a good weight and for some it will be too heavy to start with .
The lunges and swing/deep squats had me gasping for breath! I ended up sweating and feeling out of breath and I didn't expect that !
It does have a cardio element to it for sure.
The last exercise....the snatch test .....I just did swings. I couldn't really do that with a dumbbell . It does look to me that when they get the KB all the way up on that one, it snaps the wrist back rather violently !! eek Not sure I want to attempt that one .:(

Thank you Vilma for the encouragment and advice !
and Tammy, a big thank you to you too !!;)

I'm really excited about this new way of working out .

Phyllis, I talk to Jane everyday on email . She has had several flare ups of RA and is staying very busy with work and family.
I'll let her know you asked about her.

I haven't started the melatonin yet. I'm not sure why- other than I slept very good on my own over the weekend and was hoping it would continue. Since it hasn't , maybe tonight's the night to begin, huh ?

Gotta shower!
Have a great Tuesday!
Becky

Yay Becky!

Kettlebells are a great way to workout and its fun !

So glad you had a great experience with it today but be warned you will feel DOMs in places you never thought of LOL

Like I said a while back I don't know why I didn't 'get' the craze of kettlebells before its one of those things that you really don't know how good it is until you actually do it.

Welcome to the world of kettlebells Becky!

Oh and I ended up doing CCv5 rawr! I was both lion & gazelle this morning lol

Now off to get my floors done

Hi everyone,

You need to tell us about the classes Phyllis, once you recover, of course.

I always try to figure out what I am, the lion or the gazelle. The gazelle thing makes me feel lighter, somehow...lol..

Today was LIS, the end of the 4 DS part of the rotation. Tomorrow is off, so I am going to do cardio, then break out my new Squeeze Stronger on Thursday. I am so excited to try this one!!!!

Hi all,

I did a workout which for some reason feels like an accomplishment in and of itself, LOL!! I did CTX's Step and Intervals warm up (no step), the did CTX chest work (no push ups) then did Power Hour chest work (again no push ups), then did MIS abs and stretch. No real cardio but that warm up was a light cardio itself.

I go back for my recheck with the PT for my vertigo but it is GONE!!!! And I am happy about that, no problems with lying down and doing my chest work today.

I also bought another pair of jeans and even with a Wal-Mart brand I was down a size and normally I have to go up so I was very happy.

Have a great day!!

Oh and a question, with those kettlebells things do you need more room to workout? I am curious now with all the talk.

Thanks

Conni, check out my posts on the OD and Ask Cathe threads about the TriStaters at Cathe class. I think i also tak\lked about it on yesterdays check in.

Annette, good riddance to the vertigo! I was wondering the same thing about KB's - the room issue. I'm getting that gnawing feeling that i am going to have to try them, but I think I need to wait until after STS.

if you can picture 6 puzzle mats (3 mats in two rows) that's the space I use for my workout with kettlebells. Actually much less space than a step workout with Cathe

Time to log off for the night.

Have a good evening all!
