Daily Check-in
I am still pressing on and persevering. I am very happy that my weight is moving in the right direction, but I have a long road ahead of me. This is a marathon, and I need to pace myself and keep running the race with endurance.
I had a coughing fit at 3:00 a.m. and had a hard time settling down and getting back to sleep. It is not a true cough now. It is more of a tickle in my throat.
I did the Kickbox cardio this morning. My legs were sore from Leaner Legs, and my kicks were definitely not high this morning. This is another great workout. The CTX Series is a gem. I like to warm-up with cardio before my weight workouts, and these cardio workouts are just the right length. I wore weighted gloves, and my shoulders were on fire. I did the high impact drills on my rebounder.
I did Pyramid Upper Body for the first time since August. Mercy! This workout wiped me out this morning. I really struggled with the last few reps at the top of the pyramid for chest and biceps. My chest is already starting to get sore. Pikes on the stability ball are still out of my league. It is my dream to do one this year. Hopefully, they will be easier when my butt is lighter!
I am tired tonight, so I bounced on my rebounder and finished previewing Step Blast for tomorrow instead of driving to the club and jogging in the pool. My eating was clean again today. My energy was consistent all day. My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. I am ready to enjoy a warm bubble bath, relax, and get to bed early.
Phyllis, great job on the push-ups!
Wendy, I am glad Joey is okay.
Tammy, your body must have needed the sleep!
Jane, I am glad your father is feeling better. I am with you on needing a sponsor for weekend clean eating. I plan menus for the week, pack my meals and snacks during the week, eat what I packed, and never think about food until I am hungry. The weekends are more of a struggle. I also had such a hard time when I was iced in last week. The key for me seems to be minimizing the time I spend thinking about food. When I pack everything ahead of time, the decision is made.
Becky, welcome back! I love Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice herb tea. It is made with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and a hint of vanilla.
Conni, I hope your PMS ends soon.
Annette, I am glad you are feeling better.
Blessings,
Heather B.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).
