Cathlete
Heather, I enjoyed your desciption of Step and Intervals - the party in a box idea! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Congrats on the weight loss. That's a nice bit of inspiration.

Today was GS chest and tris. I'm making progress on the pushups. I can do about 1/4 of them on my toes. I try to alternate toes and knees.

Enjoy your day.

Good Morning Fit Females!:)

Phyllis, Those drop sets of push ups in GSC&T'll kill ya, ey? LOL Good job on them though! You'll be doing them all on your toes soon enough. Lots of people around here have said resting a bit longer then Cathe between sets enables them to complete all of the push ups on thier toes where if they did not take the extra rests they wouldn't be able to do it. Ever think of trying that?

I have cardio on tap today. Rotation calls for Plyo but I'm probably going to hop on the TM for a 3 miler after work is over instead. :) I quickly changed my mind about doing MIC today...anyone notice that!? :p

Have a happy tuesday folks!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

GS C/T and CM#3 for me today. I went to bed last night at 9:30 and I still managed to oversleep this morning...DOH!

Phyllis: Yup! The push-ups are killer!

Wendy: LOL!

Heather: Congratulations on the lost poundage and keep up the hard work!

Jane: How's Dad?

Good morning gang....

Tammy - daddy is doing better. The dr took that packing out of his nose yesterday, what a relief! He felt better instantly. The dr. also doubled his BP meds.... hopefully we'll get him stabilized again.

Wendy - I did MIC yesterday and while it did have a certain dread factor, I hadn't done it so long, I was actually looking forward to it. It delivered an awesome endorphin rush! I remember a few years ago, I use to struggle through that workout. When the blast came at the end of the step routine, I was totally wiped. Now I can finish it so strong. Cathe has brought me a long way.

Phyllis - ohhhh those GS pushups! Just a distant dream of mine! Resting more between sets may help as Wendy says, I haven't tried that either but I may this week when it comes up on the rotation.

Heather - what an astounding weight loss... good for you. That is so motivating. Let's make a promise to try to clean up our eating. I'm beginning to think I need a sponsor!!! (think AA!)

DrillMax today! Looking forward to it (I think;) )

Good Morning Girls!

Today I'm going to do Pyramid up only u/b premix.
Will try to fit in a walk later too.

Can I join your support group Jane? I need a sponsor too! My eating has been horrible. Yesterday I was eating dark chocolate raisinets (really yummy, but I think I ate 4 servings!), and then just overate the rest of the day! ugh;(

I'm starting the day with Bigelow spiced chia hot tea, and cocowheats , with added flaxseed and chocolate lite soy milk. Yummy and it feeds my "junk food, chocolate" taste buds without being TOO bad for me.

Wendy, I've missed something. Where are you working? Why did Joey need bloodwork? I hope he is okay!!!

Have a great day everyone!:D

Good morning Becky... (haven't made it over to my email this morning)!

LOL.... I honestly think a sponsor at times like this weekend is what I need! Can you imagine it.... "hello, it's me.... I want to eat a half gallon of ice cream and top it off with a bag of tortilla chips!" (no I'm not kidding:eek: ). Most of the time though, I am pretty sane and don't have those urges... what gives?! Oh BTW, dark choco raisins... YUM.... anything dark chocolate, count me in!!

I want to know what's going on with Master Joey also.... I don't keep up like I want to on days I'm working.

Good morning everyone,

GS CT and Coremax ( Complete Core ) premix today. Yes, those pushups just are the bomb, aren't they???

Don't talk to me about ice cream, I am PMSing so badly right now I want to eat everything!!!!x(

I could really go for a good juicy steak right now!

Hi all,

I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit today and NO coughing!!! Yipee for me!! Felt good to make it through a whole workout. My triceps are really sore from yesterday's weight workout but that is good I hadn't done weights in about 2 weeks so they need to be good and sore.

Hope you all have a great day!!:7

Becky and Jane,

I think Jane knows the background already but I don't think Becky does so here you go:

Joey was sick with that nasty stomach flu everyone is getting from the saturday morning thru Sunday evening leading up to Christmas Day. Christmas morning he woke up and seemed fine. Things seemed to be on the upswing. We opened gifts and then about 2 hours into the morning Joey had a seizure. We called 911 ofcourse. He had 3 seizures that day. He was in the hospital until Wednesday morning. He spent Monday to Tuesday evening in PICU and then was transferred to regular pediatrics for the last night. They ran many tests and found nothing WRONG with him. Seizure activity in an otherwise healthy infant or toddler is more common then we realize and usually will not amount to anything nor will it happen again BUT because he had three in one day he was put on meds for 6 months to a year as a precaution. The bloodwork was to see how his body is handling the meds.

Becky: I got a very p/t job in the daycare at my gym. I work about 9 hours a week in the mornings. It's just something to get me out and about and Joey comes with me and plays with the kids so it's nice for him although you KNOW that's where he picked up the stomach flu that began the nasty chain of events above!x(

So after work I hopped on the TM and got my 3 miles in. Felt good. I'm happy. I don't have to worry about my work out now that I'm home. I can concentrate on housework instead...EEGADS, did I just say that outloud!?!

:7 :7 :7 :p

Thanks for the update Wendy... I'm glad it is only monitoring going on... wanted to make sure nothing new was happening.

Daily Check-in

I am still pressing on and persevering. I am very happy that my weight is moving in the right direction, but I have a long road ahead of me. This is a marathon, and I need to pace myself and keep running the race with endurance.

I had a coughing fit at 3:00 a.m. and had a hard time settling down and getting back to sleep. It is not a true cough now. It is more of a tickle in my throat.

I did the Kickbox cardio this morning. My legs were sore from Leaner Legs, and my kicks were definitely not high this morning. This is another great workout. The CTX Series is a gem. I like to warm-up with cardio before my weight workouts, and these cardio workouts are just the right length. I wore weighted gloves, and my shoulders were on fire. I did the high impact drills on my rebounder.

I did Pyramid Upper Body for the first time since August. Mercy! This workout wiped me out this morning. I really struggled with the last few reps at the top of the pyramid for chest and biceps. My chest is already starting to get sore. Pikes on the stability ball are still out of my league. It is my dream to do one this year. Hopefully, they will be easier when my butt is lighter!

I am tired tonight, so I bounced on my rebounder and finished previewing Step Blast for tomorrow instead of driving to the club and jogging in the pool. My eating was clean again today. My energy was consistent all day. My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. I am ready to enjoy a warm bubble bath, relax, and get to bed early.

Phyllis, great job on the push-ups!

Wendy, I am glad Joey is okay.

Tammy, your body must have needed the sleep!

Jane, I am glad your father is feeling better. I am with you on needing a sponsor for weekend clean eating. I plan menus for the week, pack my meals and snacks during the week, eat what I packed, and never think about food until I am hungry. The weekends are more of a struggle. I also had such a hard time when I was iced in last week. The key for me seems to be minimizing the time I spend thinking about food. When I pack everything ahead of time, the decision is made.

Becky, welcome back! I love Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice herb tea. It is made with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and a hint of vanilla.

Conni, I hope your PMS ends soon.

Annette, I am glad you are feeling better.

Blessings,
Heather B.
