Happy Tuesday everyone,

Well, I did it. Went to my first spinning class yesterday evening. I liked it. My HR was between 151-180 and I burned 358 cals in 45min. I didn't go all out cause 1) I did a 17K run yesterday which always taxes my bad knee, 2) I had no idea what to expect during class, 3) I had no idea how my bad knee would respond and 4) I had a Tuesday run scheduled.

The instructor was very surprised that I could keep up with the others. And at no time had to stop.

For those of you who want to work on their butt, this is the ex for you: it is kind of like squatting while cycling at high speed.

After class I felt great, not tired in anyway. Today I have no DOMS, no painful butt, nothing that I've been warned about. My bad knee feels a little tender but nothing to worry about. But that may be cause this is something new. Anyways, because of that I decided this morning to give my knee a little more rest and do my run this evening + MM-legs + KM leg drills.

I'll have 3 more free classes to go but I already know I want to keep doing this. Not at this gym though. I also know that I'll be wanting to do this twice a week once I'm used to it. And this gym doesn't offer a Thursday evening class (my only other "free" evening).

And son #1 wants to come along next week to try it out (and OT, this boy is growing up fast).

Hope you all have a great w/o and a wonderful Tuesday.

Morning Dutchie and all who follow:)

Dutchie - I'm glad you enjoyed your spin class. I used to do spin when I belonged to a gym and really liked it.

Last night I did Kickmax Bootcamp Challenge premix. I like the way that one is set up better than the original workout. You do the blast first and get it out of the way:)

Today is a 4 mile run, back and core.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today for me is KM and ab work. I think I will take Shelley's suggestion and do the KM Bootcamp challenge premix.

Dutchie: I'm glad you liked spin class, although squatting while cycling at high speeds sounds torturous!

Shelley: Thanks for the KM premix idea. For some reason this DVD holds a huge dread factor for me...maybe getting the blasts out of the way will help;)

Hello to all that follow...Happy Fat Tuesday!

Good Morning and Happy Last day of February!!!! yay!
Spring is around the corner!!!:D

I've had some injured muscles I've been dealing with and haven't been able to workout in 2 weeks. I started yesterday with 2 segments of stepworks, modified, and extra stretch. Will work my way back slowly.

Today I'm doing core , maybe some light arm work and get outside in this mild weather later in the day and walk !!!

I've missed posting and missed everyone here!
I have some catching up to do!!
What's new?? :p

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hello ladies!

I accepted the job at the start up and start in 2 weeks! I'm so excited, ready to roll up my sleeves and jump right in. I got nice emails from 3 folks at the new company. My current work was a lot more suprised than I expected. They were all happy for me personally but not happy for the company. I asked them not to counter as my mind was made up. I told the other 2 companies I was talking to. Hopefully I didn't burn any bridges!

Dutchie: Congrats on the spin class. Let us know how it goes with your son.

Shelly: Hmmm... Sounds good about the premix bootcamp. I've never done that will have to try. No time like the present. I'll do that tonight.

Tammy: Sounds like Shelly has convinced both of us to do KM!

Becky: Nice to see you back.

It is SO COLD here today 5 degrees! BRRRRRRR

Good morning, everyone -
If you haven't tried it, you ought to try doing ME-upper body split twice in a row. It's quite a workout for the arms. Mine were so tired last night that I seriously considered leaving the dishes in the sink, and I've got some nice DOMS going on this morning.

Today will FINALLY be PLB. Really! For the past three times I've scheduled it, something has kept me from doing it. Maybe it's a sign.

Dutchie - spinning sounds cool - especially the glutes work!

Shelley - I actually like the intensity drills at the end of KM better - you know, finish up with a bang!

Becky - have a nice walk!

Robyn - hey, congrats!! Have fun at the new job!!!

Morning ladies. On my rotation today I was supposed to do C&w followed by L&G, but I just don't have 2 hours in the morning to workout. So, I did ME followed by cardio only from Step & Intervals. I really don't know why I don't do ME more often. I love that workout, and it seems like I hardly ever do it! Gotta LOVE that bicep workout!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Good morning everyone,

Congratulations on the new job Robyn, how exciting. I am sure this will lead you in a new and challenging direction.

Katie - I like your substitution today, I just did ME for the first time in a long time this weekend and I just love those glute raises!

Today was supposed to be HSTA, but I don't have it so I did HSC instead. Now I will have to find another substitution at the end of the week when it calls for HSC!:+

Dutchie-glad spinning was fun. How old is DS?

Shelley-I may have to try the kickmax premix you're talking about. I like the idea of getting those blasts DONE! How is your hip doing???

Tammy-let us know how you like the KM premix? I have that dread factor also with that DVD.

Becky-I hope the healing goes fast. I'm jealous of your warmer weather!

Robyn-CONGRATS on the new job! It sounds like you handled things well and your bridges are still in tact. GOOD LUCK!

Shannon-between your suggestion of that 2x UB work, and Shelley trying to get us all to do the Gym Style ALL IN ONE DAY, I'm convinced YOU'RE ALL NUTS! LOL

Katie-great workout this morning! I SO LOVE ME too! It's such a great workout!

Conni-HSC in on tap for me tomorrow. GREAT JOB!

Now for me....up early and did a 6 mile run, followed by PLB floor work. That's it, added nothing extra this time around. That workout brought my February tally to 25 for 28 days! WAHOO! Add that to a complete month of healthy (almost clean) eating and my engagment, and I HAD A GREAT FEBRUARY! LOL

Gayle

Gayle: I just finished my workout and I have decided that the KM bootcamp premix is the only way I will do KM from now on...getting those blasts out of the way makes the workout a LITTLE more enjoyable for me.

Robyn: Congratulations on the job!

Good morning ladies

Pamela...thanks for your kind words..I hope your little guy can get some more sleep and you too!!

Dutchie...sounds like spinning was a hit with you! I wouldn't have had much doubt you'd be able keep up, I mean you are a runner???...:)...I think that would be fun if your son would go..

Shelley...I bet doing the blasts first in KM would help...alot...

Tammy...KM is one I rarely do, except for the LCD, I must have the same dread factor!!

Becky...sorry about the injured muscles...hope you are better soon. Wondered where you were?...I've missed your posts...:)

Robyn...CONGRATS on the new job!!

Shannon...way to go with ME twice! I think I'll join you with PLB today

Katie...the bicep work in ME has to be the best part!

Conni...do you have any other circuit workouts?

Gayle...you did have a good February!!!

I am doing PLB standing and a 6 mile run

Have a great day...:)...Carole

Thank you Carole! I've missed you all too!
I did get your response to me about the trailrunning & I thank you!
I got injured right around that time so I haven't looked into it yet, but it sure interests me! Thanks for the advice.:)

Hello everyone~

It looks like we are off to a nice (fat) Tuesday.

I'll have to look at the KM premix recommended above.

Robin- Congratulations on the new position. :)

Dutchie- I really like spinng too, although I've never been to a class. I do mine "a la Cathe intervals" at home. My heart rate soars during the blasts and doesn't really drop that much during the recoveries.

This morning I did Low Max. After the 400 walking lungs yesterday, I felt every move of Low Max.

Good Morning.

I'm taking my rest day today...a day early. I have lots of housework I want to get done and then it'll put me at finishing up the January rotation on Friday which works out well for me.:)

Better get crackin' on thinking about what I'm gonna do in March!I have about a million ideas running around my head! How will I ever decide?? :p :+ :7

Good morning everyone,

Short post today. I'm drenched and wiped out (in a good way :)) from LowMax. (This was the first time I did the entire workout. I tried 8 inch, but I kept feeling like I was going to fall so I lowered it to 6 inches, but considering I usually use 4in, I'm proud of myself and my fitness gains.)

Congrats Robyn on the new job!

Thanks Carole, I kept him home with me today. He seems to be feeling better.

Glad you enjoyed spinning Dutchie, and they do grow up so fast!

Have great workouts and a great day everyone!
